My company is currently in the process of developing a embedded UI and we had been hoping to use Emerging Display Technologies ETEML10100XDH6 board as it is has a pre built template by TouchGFX and can easily be flashed from the designer. We were sent the ETEMB101008XDRAM instead, due to supply and price, which is almost identical barring the use of a STM32H7 vs the STM32F7 on the ETEML. Is there any plan to provide a prebuilt template for the ETEMB or will I need to follow the process of flashing a custom board due to the differing MCU's or is there something I can do with my current designer project, such as building the binaries and flashing using ST-LINK?

hello,is there any recommanded speed limits (in rpm) to get an optimal and realiable speed control using FOC?thank u :beaming_face_with_smiling_eyes:

What I want to achieve is starting the DFU ROM bootloader (like on a MCU) from a running Linux (maybe via a dedicated kernel module) or, if this helps, via re-configuring u-boot and doing a software reboot cycle.

Hey there.. iam currently working with a L432KC on a custom made PCB.My programm reads a sensor value (I2C) and sends it so another device via SPI.This operation is performed every minute.iam using the HAL_Delay(60000) command to wait fot the next minute.is that a smart and powersaving solution?what Lowpower modes should i use? my project will be powered through a CR1632 and i want it to last as long as possible. i connected a 32khz xtal as LSE.HAL_Delay() uses SYSTick as timer right? is that meant by RTC ?speaking : if i set the controller into the "shutdown" mode (with disables everything). will it be able to wakeup after a HAL_Delay() function?annother question:Iam using SPI, I2C and UART when my controller is doing someting (not in sleepmode) wich power mode should i use then? i cant find SPI in the peripherals table ..what should i configure in the clock config in the .ioc file?i dont really get it ... thank you!

Hello,In my application, I need LSM6DSL to generate an interrupt when configured FIFO threshold is reached. I am using FIFO for accelerometer and gyroscope. My configuration is as below,FIFO_CTRL5 = 0x09 // ODR 12.5 Hz, FIFO modeCTRL3_C = 0x 44 //BDU, Reg addr incrementFIFO_CTRL1 = 0x3C //Fifo thresholdINT1_CTRL = 0x08 //Route fth signal on INT1 pinCTRL1_C = 0x48 //Select LPF BW, Set ODR and FSFIFO_CTRL3 = 0x09 //Set FIFO ODR for gyroscope and accelerometerCTRL2_C = 0x18 //Set gyroscope ODR and FSAfter this configuration I can see that Watermark flag getting high when the configured threshold level for FIFO is reached. But I am not able to get the interrupt on INT1 pin for the same event. Please help me if I am missing anything. Thanks in advance.

From the handleTickEvent I am changing the wildcard text as well as I am also changing the position height and width though I am getting text but it is grainy...not clear(I have included invalidate() function also Load in this Image).I tried changing alpha and various height and width but still I am getting grains.....

Hi,I’m trying to use the CR95HF in what I think should be the simplest mode. Reading a 14443a tag.I am controlling it from a pic micro. I have detailed exactly what I have done. Clearly the SPI is working but I am also missing something. Really appreciate it if somebody could have a look and suggest where I may have been going wrong. I know I have not been poling but I have been leaving quite a long time ( several seconds) between sending and attempting to receive. The board is bespoke but built according to ST recommendations. I have checked and there is a strong signal in the antenna.1.      Reset Asserting Chip SelectSend 0x01De asserting Chip Select2.      Next I cyc le the /irq_in while SSI_0=1 and SSI_1=0 to select SPI mode3.      To check the comms are working I do and IDN commandAssert Chip SelectSend 0x00             &n

I am a new user of STM32CubeIDE using a NUCLEO-STM32WB-Nucleo board. I want to build an empty project using enabled BLE components using the STM32-WPAN pack version 1.9.0.After selectint RTC, HSEM and RF1 in addition to the default settings plus enabling the WPAN middleware (all default) it autocreates the code files. Here is my schematic and board. I'm wondering if someone can verify that I have everything that's needed on the stm32f4. I can't connect with SWD to the core. My JLink tries multiple times and fails. When I press the reset button on my board the JLink's LED turns red so it seems that the connection between my board and the JLink is correct. I've found a mistake in my crystals' capacitor values, but I don't think that should cause this issue?

Hello,We have problems with the touch screen performance. Is there a way to make this better? We are using the TouchGFX Example project with the same poor results "Smart Embedded display 7.0" with the "Swipe Container Example".Basically if I hold my finger on the Swipe Container, the swipe container continuously wiggles left/right even though I am keeping my finger as still as humanly possible. We observe the same behavior with a Slider widget. We initialize with these settings in our custom application, which then has slightly better performance than the example. hal.setTouchSampleRate(2); hal.setFingerSize(20); hal.setDragThreshold(5);It seems I have tried every possible combination to try to improve this. Whatever I do, I still get some wiggle. The Example projects perform far worse than this on this display. Any advice would be appreciated.Even a reference to what settings you guys have had the most success with on other boards would be helpful. Maybe I can use that e

Posted on February 28, 2018 at 07:26 Hello, I'm trying to implement MotionFX in my application. So far I have a very basic setup which executes correctly. MotionFX_initialize(); MotionFX_GetLibVersion(ver); printu(ver, 1); MotionFX_getKnobs(&iKnobs); iKnobs.output_type = MFX_ENGINE_OUTPUT_ENU; iKnobs.LMode = 1; iKnobs.modx = 1; MotionFX_setKnobs(&iKnobs); MotionFX_enable_6X(MFX_ENGINE_DISABLE); MotionFX_enable_9X(MFX_ENGINE_ENABLE);?????????? Then, in a thread, I pull data out of my sensors and push it to the motionfx: MFX_input_t data_in; MFX_output_t data_out; data_in.acc[0] = mptr->acc.AXIS_X * FROM_MG_TO_G; data_in.acc[1] = mptr->acc.AXIS_Y * FROM_MG_TO_G; data_in.acc[2] = mptr->acc.AXIS_Z * FROM_MG_TO_G; data_in.gyro[0] = mptr->gyro.AXIS_X * FROM_MDPS_TO_DPS; data_in.gyro[1] = mptr->gyro.AXIS_Y * FROM_MDPS_TO_DPS; data_in.gyro[2] = mptr->gyro.AXIS_Z * FROM_MDPS_TO_DPS; data_in.mag[0] = mptr->mag.AXIS_X * FROM_MGA

Hello,I am trying to use the STM32WB55 Nucleo Pack to develop a BLE application. I am using cubeMX with the STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.8.0 pack to generate code for the MB13355C nucleo board with STM32WB55RGV6 MCU.I have successfully set the BLE advertising settings and can read the ad with the nRF Connect app on my smartphone. But when I tried to connect my phone to the board, I couldn't get GATT services back. However the connection is successful because the card indicates to be connected as a server. Has anyone ever had this problem? And how can I solve it?Thank you for your reply!

Is there any information on moving (porting?) from CubeMx 5.1.0 and SW4STM32 to the latest Stm32Cube IDE? I attended an online demo a few months ago and seemed like the set up is quite different from what I am currently using. What would be the advantages to spending the time on a current project or even switching to the newer IDE for future projects? Thanks for any help.-Phil

Hello, can we expand or use external RAM with stm32h743vit6? Could anyone guide me for the same?

HelloI am using STM32CubeIDE 1.0.2 with CubeMX.Hardware: STM3240G-EVAL (Evaluation board with STM32F407IG)I have to use RS485 in the program. In CubeMX in UART options, I do not see the option "Hardware Flow Control (RS485).On the video https://youtu.be/x0p2p9RLtkA?t=60 I can see that there is such an option in CubeMX at UART. Can I turn it on somehow? Can I use CubeMX to generate the code for rs485? If so, in what way?

As per UM2407, page 42, PC8 and PC9 should be Pins 1 and 2 of the CN12 Morpho connector. On the silk screen on the board the corresponding pins are labeled accordingly as well. However on my NUCLEO-H743ZI2 board I can not get a signal from the MCU on these pins. PC8 and PC9 on the Zio connector work as they are supposed to. With the multimeter I measure a high impedance between these Pins on the Morpho connector and their equivalents on the Zio connector, so they do not seem to be connected on the PCB.I checked if there are any missing solder bridges, but UM2407 does not mention any related to these pins.Am I missing something? Is my board faulty? Is this an error in the documentation?

Hello guysI'm using the STM32F070CB MCU in a custom board connecting SPI pins and IRQ pins to the MCU and trying to scan for NFC devices. We've tested the board and the ST25R95 with std32duino libraries and we could make it work, but we needed to see UIDs and we could'nt read it in Arduino IDE and changed platform to use STM32CubeIDE. We have some errors when calling initialize functions, rfalInitialize does return error in st25r95Initialize() (ERR_SYSTEM). IRQ_I and NSS pins have correct signals but I think we're missing something on the configuration. We think it could have something about USART3, because it shares CTS/RTS and SCK/MISO pins from SPI2, but we couldn't figure it out. Thanks in advanceArthur Käfer

Hello,I need to flash a custom STM32MP1 board which only has JTAG (no USB port available). Additionally, I build the image using Yocto meaning the output are separate binaries (e.g. U-Boot) and .tsv files. The STM32CubeProgrammer detects the CPU with the ST-LINK/V2 in-circuit debugger. However trying to flash the device comes with the error:```Error: TSV files are not supported with JTAG/SWD debug interface```Could someone give me more info on how I could flash over JTAG and by using the STM32CubeProgrammer? Or how I could flash in any other way (dont forget that Yocto generates separate binaries and the .tsv files).

I want to use the bootloader feature (via UART) of the STM32L071RB. I have read the AN2606 and AN3155.If I'm right, the STM32L071RB has a V11.x bootloader and can be updated via UARTx, SPIx,and I2Cx.Is is possible to configure, which pins are used by STM-Bootloader?I only want UART1 pins (PA9, PA10) to be "active" during bootloader. Is there something like a "fuse-byte" which chooses the "active" interfaces?Or do I really have to take care that all bootloader-pins (especially the outputs of SPI1 SPI2, UART2-Tx) do not collide with peripherals connected to these pins?Best regards

Hi,I am writing code for the STM32f103 involving ADC conversion.I understand you have to select a list of "channels" you want to be converted and put them either in a regular or injected list. These lists are contained in the ADC_SQRx (or ADC_JSQR for injected) registers.I am using for this the reference manual RM0008 rev 20.I presume each "channel" is connected to a given pin (say PA0, PA1,... provided they are configured as analogue input of course) or some internal signal (Vcc,Temperature). The problem I have is that I find nowhere the list of channel numbers and what they are connected to, which render impossible the task of reading any analogue input. Can somebody help on this and point me to the right direction ?Where can I find documentation on channel numbers for STM32f103 ?

I am having a problem where the IWDG seems to not reset the processor. I have setup a very simple project that enables the IWDG and then doesn't pet it - it should reset, but it doesn't. Running under the debugger or running standalone, it doesn't reset in either case. I can see that the IWDG RSTF is set in the RCC_CSR register. If I reset those bits using RMVF bit, the IWDG RSTF bit again gets set after the expected time. This makes me think that the independent watchdog is indeed going off, but for some reason the chip is just not resetting. This is such a simple thing it seems like, why doesn't it work?
