Hello,Previously when working with NXP MCUs, I was able to inspect MCU registers and memory whilst debugging through a convenient interface built into the IDE.I'm wondering if the STM32Cube ecosystem, or other ST tools, can provide equivalent functionality. Is there such a thing?Basically, I'd like to be able to step through the code that is being executed on a MCU and see the state of device registers and memory at the same time. I find this very helpful in debugging issues. Thanks,Paul S.

Hello,I am using a 8080 screen and FMC module as an interface to LCD screen.I have created a project using CubeMX (6.0.1) and Touch GFX (4.15).In GFX there is only one startup screen and only one button.I am not using OS. The project was generated and compiles with no errors. So I have MX_TouchGFX_Process(); function call in a while cycle.I found from manual that a tick driver should be implemented to generate VSync signal.Ok. I have added a signalVSync call into SysTick interrupt to call each 100ms. The signalVSync inside has vsync_sem = 1; code. It is void OSWrappers::signalVSync().I have set a breakpoint to flushFrameBuffer but it is never hit.I have added a touchgfx::HAL::getInstance()->taskEntry(); in the main code. (Through extern C wrapper). Still no call to flushFrameBuffer. Please tell me what places should i check? Never used that library before. Thanks,

HiI am studying 3 tutorial with clock. When I select buttonSaveHour and buttonClock, times are not transferred to screen 2. When I return to screen 1, the hour is 00. Why?Yours sincerely

Hi, I'm trying to generate secure boot keys using native linux tools. I assumed the secureboot format would be documented, but all I found was links to STM32MP_KeyGen.I can use openssl to generate ECDSA keys, and also get publik keys out. I am at teh point where I can take the private key from STM32MP_KeyGen, and convert it to a public key:openssl ec -in private-key.pem -pubout -out public-key.pemHowever, what I can't figure out is how to get the SHA256 hash of the public key in a way that I can burn in the OTP fuses. openssl hash functions give a different result than the one generated by STM32MP_KeyGen. What is the format that the chip expects?

I'm using an STM32F750 with the JTAG/SWD pins as follows:PA13 (JTMS/SWDIO) is connected to my debug headerPA14 (JTCK/SWCLK) is connected to my debug headerPA15 (JTDI) is to be used as a general-purpose outputPB3 (JTDO/TRACESWO) is connected to my debug headerPB4 (JTRST) is to be used as a general-purpose outputI'm finding that as soon as I change the alternate function mapping for PA15 from alternate-function to general purpose output mode, I lose my SWD connection and cannot connect over SWD anymore - even though PA15 isn't used in SWD anyway and isn't connected to the debug header.Specifically, writing GPIOA->MODER from its default of 0xA8000000 to 0x68000000 causes SWD connection to be lost. I can set PA15 to input mode (0x28000000) or analog mode (0xE8000000) without breaking SWD, but setting it as a general-purpose *output* causes SWD connection to be lost.I've found discussion about other STM32 parts where the SWD-only configuration requires setting some bits in AFIO->MAPR,

Hi,I'd like to use the SVD associated with the STM32H735. The SVD archive linked in the resources does not seem to contain the associated SVDs. Furthermore, the last update dates from 2019, while the H735 dates from september of this year, so I don't think they could be included anyway. If possible, I'd like guidance as to where I could find the SVDs or at least a timeframe for the release of the updated SVDs.Regards,Xavier L'Heureux

The actual situation is shown in Figure 1. I try to solve this problem in “Default Programs Editor?，but I didn't find the “wsx? file in Figure 2. Is there any way to solve it?

When the files are accessed. Some of the symbols are not resolved and shows up as errors, however the project compiles fine. Has anyone else come across this issue?

I'm trying to enable ADC channel 16 on STM32G031J6 but the IDE does not list up the channel. What is the matter? How can I enable the channel? My environment as bellow.STM32CubeIDEVersion: 1.4.2Build: 7643_20200813_1322 (UTC)STM32CubeMX - STM32 Device Configuration ToolVersion: 6.0.1-RC3Build: 20200810-1643 (UTC)STM32CubeG0 Firmware Package V1.3.0 / 25-June-2019

Hi,I need to get accelerometer data with a frequency of 100hz and I'm looking for the sensortiles STEVAL-STLKT01V1Looking at the documentantion is not clear to me what is the data sample rate they have by default. Here in the community someone mentioned a sampling rate about 50hz, but if you want to change it you have to modify the firmware, is that correct? This imply working on low level C code and compiler? As an alternative I'm evaluating also the STEVAL-STWINKT1 , is pricey but If I'm correct is a sensortile specific for iot industry with a wideband vibrational sensor and wideband accelerometer. Still I can't find in the docs what is the default sample rate. Can someone clarify this? Since I'm not a C programmer I searching for a kit that can at least deliver 100hz sampling rate by default without going into coding, compiling, ect (at least for now)Thanks,Andrea

Hi, For my application I need a transparent (invisible) button with long press action.I found this topic https://touchgfx.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/206420309-Button-LongpressIt was helpful in fact, but I still have some issues.I implemented this new widget in code. Then for testing purpose I created a small project with 2 screens, and 1 button on each screen to swap between screens ( I did this from TouchGFX)Then back to cube IDE, I modified Screen1ViewBase like this:class Screen1ViewBase : public touchgfx::View<Screen1Presenter> { public: Screen1ViewBase(); virtual ~Screen1ViewBase() {}   virtual void setupScreen();   protected: FrontendApplication& application() { return *static_cast<FrontendApplication*>(Application::getInstance()); }   /* * Member Declarations */ touchgfx::Box box1; // touchgfx::Button button1; touchgfx:: HoldableButton button1; //-> redefinition of button1 to a HoldableButton   private:   /* * Cal

We are using the LIS2DS12 in an environment where we sometimes exceed the configured range (i.e +- 8g).We would expect to be the positive maximum OUT Value to be 0x7FFC and the negative maximum to be 0x8000. Instead the + max value is 0x7FE0 and negative max value is 0x8020.Is this expected behavior? Here is one example for one reading of all 3 axis and reaching the negative max. value:OUT_X 0x8020OUT_Y 0x811COUT_Z 0x2EC8Example of positive max. valueOUT_X 0x5F08 OUT_Y 0x7FE0OUT_Z 0x1360

Hi,I am a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Northampton doing research on a special type of structure. As a part of our current project, I need to measure the vibration of the structural components, and I would like to use LIS2DS12 accelerometer. In this project, I am using National Instrument CompactRIO 9024 device as a data acquisition platform which works with the LabVIEW software. My questions are how can I read/import the vibration signal captured by your accelerometer product (i.e. LIS2DS12) in LabVIEW software? Can I connect this accelerometer to our data acquisition system by using cable or is it working wirelessly? Is there any internal memory in this accelerometer to save the vibration data, if yes, how can I transfer this data? Regards,Mohammad

I'm trying to use the DMA on an STM32 H743ZI2 nucleo dev board to continuously read values from an ADC input into a buffer. I'm trying to follow along the tutorial here: https://www.digikey.com/en/maker/projects/getting-started-with-stm32-working-with-adc-and-dma/f5009db3a3ed4370acaf545a3370c30cHowever, when I try to configure my ADC parameter settings, I do not see an option to enable DMA continuous requests, and as a result, my callback functions aren't being called. How can I enable continuous DMA requests if this option is unavailable, or change settings such that this option appears?Below are screenshots showing my issue: Thanks, chris

I have a 85-265AC input and desired to have 5 volt output buck converter. How can I make the viper265kd to perform 5V output? When I check AN5380 the VDD is supplied by output voltage which is 15V and it's enough to supply VDD min requirements.I need 5V output converter which is not enough to meet with VDDmin value, how can I supply VDD in a 5V output converter.

Hello,I am completely newby on embedded linux stuffs. Can any one tell me how to drive any available LED on the STM32MP157C-Dk2 board by using the linux shell commands.Unfortunatelly i did not find the information on the wiki stm32mcu.Thank you by advance.

Hi, guys!I like CubeMX and it's code+project generation features very much, thank you for a great job! But now I've faced the followed issue. Cube deletes <FileOption> and <GroupOption> sections when regenerates project. That is inconvenient because I use Keil's project/file setting in order to allocate code, const and other data to the specific memory ranges. It works well and much more conveniently for me than writing scatter file by hands and writing a lot of __attributes__(.sections()) over all the files and variables/arrays, especially generated by CubeMX. That is extra important when I want to use handy HAL IRQ handlers, but they work too slow from the FLASH.So, my feature request is the following:when CubeMX regenerates Keil project let it keep <FileOption> sections near regenerated files. For example:Here is the Keil Project fragment with file stm32h7xx_hal_dma.c allocated by file settings menu to the specific RAM area, defined in Project Settings-> Targ

I will be using the STMF30x mostly for motor control using the ST library. I need to purchase a compiler/debugger and was wondering if the Keil MDK5 'Essential' version will work? I'm pretty much convinced I should use Keil on my windows based system but was wondering if the lower cost license version MDK5 "essentials" would do the job. I'm at a startup on a shoe-string budget with no time to cobble together an open development tool system. Thoughts? Experiences?

I would like to use the MotionFX library with my custom board. My MCU is a STM32F303RE(Cortex-M4) so I included the MotionFX_CM4F_wc32_ot.a library. The project starts but does not continue after MotionFX_initialize().I am not getting any error... any recommendations what could be wrong?I have tried to increase the heap size to 0x1000 and the stack size 0x8000. I have also activated CRC in CubeMX. The MotionFX init()  starts after the CRC init(), but I still get a HardFault_Handler

I have driven my 3-Phase BLDC motor at speeds greater than 200RPM with great success. Driving at lower speeds has resulted in decreased performance. I find that the motor will run for a little, then drop to zero RPM for some time, and then overshoot the desired RPM and repeat. I am using Hall Sensors in my application, and using the PID parameters generated by the workbench. Any help is appreciated.

Hi everyone,I wanted to uninstall my STM32CubeMX but uninstaller didn't run. I have downloaded latest version of java. Then I tried to ran uninstaller.jar in cmd I got this error Error: Could not find or load main class com.izforge.izpack.uninstaller.UI would like to know is this bug or i have any chance to uninstall CubeOnik

In trying to understand some motor control code in the ST Library I've come across some procedure names with STO_ as a prefix. Simple question what does the acronym STO mean?

We are intending to design in this MCU. Does ST have a website that would indicate where this part is in its lifespan? I can only see that it is listed as "active".Thanks

Hi there.I have a board from some equipament which has a STM32F091CCT6 uC, and there are 3 leds, connected to pin GPIO_C13, GPIO_C14 and GPIO_A7. Anode from leds are connected to Vcc and Catode are connected in a resistor and then to the uC pins (so it turns ON when pin is low).I set up everything with the configuration tool from STM32cubeIDE, so it made all the code for me, which you can see below. But I've already tried a lot of different code to blink my led, any of them, but none will blink! I can turn them on OR off, but blink...never.Does anyone know what's wrong with the code? thanks#include "main.h" void SystemClock_Config(void); static void MX_GPIO_Init(void);   int main(void) { HAL_Init(); MX_GPIO_Init(); while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */ HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC,GPIO_PIN_14,GPIO_PIN_RESET); HAL_Delay(1000); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOC,GPIO_PIN_14,GPIO_PIN_SET); HAL_Delay(1000); /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ } /* USER CODE END 3 */ }   void SystemClock_Conf
