I have a custom board I made with the STM32MP1 and I seemed to have royally messed up the clock circuit. I have an ASDMB-24.000MHZ-LC-T clock chip generating a square wave clock but HSE_OUT is being pulled high which puts the STM32MP1 into analog-bypass mode. The chip does not seem to be booting to the point where I can access USB or UART DFU mode. UART lines are both low and I would expect the TX line to be high until a start bit is sent. I am assuming this is because the chip is not getting clocked properly. Looking to the experts to tell me if this really is the case or if I am chasing a red herring and it should work OK on analog-bypass with a square wave clock. I have attached a photo of the clock signal, best I have right now but I can get a better one later if it's required. I plan on attempting to perform some board surgery to cut the trace pulling the HSE_OUT high and tie it low but was looking for some input before I go do that. PA13 is low as well which I would expect to be

I used STM3CubeIDE to create a default project (no settings changed) for a stm32l496ve chip. It generates a main file that has:int main(void) HAL_Init();   SystemClock_Config();   while (1) { } return 0; }And a SysTick_Handler defined in stm32l4xx_it.c:void SysTick_Handler(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN SysTick_IRQn 0 */   /* USER CODE END SysTick_IRQn 0 */ HAL_IncTick(); /* USER CODE BEGIN SysTick_IRQn 1 */   /* USER CODE END SysTick_IRQn 1 */ }The startup file startup_stm32l496vetx.s has SysTick defined in the vector table:_pfnVectors: .word _estack .word Reset_Handler .word NMI_Handler .word HardFault_Handler .word MemManage_Handler .word BusFault_Handler .word UsageFault_Handler .word 0 .word 0 .word 0 .word 0 .word SVC_Handler .word DebugMon_Handler .word 0 .word PendSV_Handler .word SysTick_Handler .word WWDG_IRQHandler ... ...But despite this, it doesn't seem like the SysTick is being interrupted. HAL_Delay() would cause an infinite

HI, I am a beginner with STM32 but an old programmer. Bytw, my father was born in Crolles ! English is not my natural language.I bought a development kit. I downloaded Cube MX. I create a project for this DK. But in the pinout window I can see pins that belongs to the CPU not those being in the CN4, CN5, CN6 and CN7 connectors. How can I have them ?TIAJean in Grenoble (France)

Hi,I tried the BLE p2p Client example from cubemx and running on STM32IDE.Whenever I push the button, the device starts scanning in general discovery mode. The issue is it always scans for 10 seconds and I am not able to change it.I have tried changing the scan interval and window but that's different and still the same result. I tried to find a timeout for this but can't seem to locate it.Can someone help me please, I am new to this chip and BLE so having a hard time understanding.

I'm trying to write a class that contain a clickable Box. The action of the click event is handled in the Screen1View.I'm total loss with GenericCallback and Callback.Here the code:MyObj.hpp:class MyObj : public TextureMapper { public: MyObj(); ~MyObj();   virtual void handleClickEvent(const ClickEvent& event);   void setAction(GenericCallback<const MyObj&>& callback) { action = &callback; }   protected: ClickListener< Box > clickable_box;   // Declaring callback type of box and clickEvent GenericCallback< const MyObj& >* action; };MyObj.cpp:#include <gui\common\MyObj.hpp>   MyObj::MyObj() : TextureMapper(), action() { setTouchable(true);   //clickable_box.setClickAction(action); }   MyObj::~MyObj() { }   void MyObj::handleClickEvent(const ClickEvent& event) { clickable_box.handleClickEvent(event); }And in ScreenView:ScreenView.hpp:#include <gui_generated/screen1_screen/Screen1Vi

The STSW-IMG010 project recommends NUCLEO F401RE board but I have STM32NucleoG070. Will the example work with STM32NucleoG070 . What will be the changes that i will have to do if i have to run the code in my board.

Hi, I'm using STEVAL-ISV020V1 the evaluation board for the charge controller SPV1050 ULP. Based on the datasheet, the undervoltage protection (UVP) is 3.7V and the EOC is 4.2V. By doing few changes, VUVP can go down to 2.2 V and VEOC up to 5.3 V. I would like to start charging by a UVP of 2.2, but the battery I'm using has a voltage of 4.2V not 5.3V. (EFL700A39)In this case, what should I do ? There is no possibility to decrease the UVP from 3.7 to 2.2V ? Thank you for your reply and your help.

The SPC574S60 microprocessor only has e book file. I can't find the reference manual. Please help me.

Hi All,We are using STM's STM32H750VB in our design.We are planning to STM32's SDMMC1 port for SD card.We were just wondering what is the maximum capacity/size we can go for SD card or how much max. size the controller can support.Anybody knowing some number on this ?Regards,Madhusoodana Bairy

I am looking at the datasheet for the STM32G071KBT6 and several of the footprints are shown twice, once as "GP version" and again as "PD version"What does GP and PD mean?

Hello all,im working on a project that uses an SBC, using my logic analyser i can confirm data is coming and and looks to be a can signal but it seems my baud rate timing is incorrect or something else is amiss.my board is the SPC560DL1, i understand the the flexcan uses Perphial set 2 clock so mine by default is set to 24Mhz.i've attached images of my settings and resultshttp://www.bittiming.can-wiki.info/#Freescalehere is the table i've created with < 24Mhz, 75% sample point > my settings for 250 aresample point @ 75%, i've also tried 87.5Pclk 24Mhzpropseg= 2pseg1 =7pseg2 =3presdiv =6which should solve to 24,000,000/6 = 40000004000000/16 = 250 baud Here is my code snippit that i'm using to test can functionalitydata on my output looks like thiswith my analyer it's seeing garbage on the decoder side so im guessing the timing is incorrect

I am using the LSM6DSOX built in tilt function. Currently it gives results for tilting along 3 axis. Is there a way to limit it to one axis?

Hi, I'm new in stm32 world. I recently bougth a stm32L4R5ZI nucleo board and started a project using timer/counter. I tried to do a very simple project that generate a PWM of 1 Hz with d%=50%. So I setup the timer clock to 30 MHz. And in the parameter settings I setup: PWM generation on CHx, prescaler to 29999, counter period of 999 and pulse at 499. What I get is an LED that blinks at a very low frequency, at about 1/7 Hz. instead of 1 Hz.My program just do this (I just enabled the timer in the main).I tried to change timer, and use timer as a counter but I always get similar results. I have no idea of what can it be.Thanks in advance!

FDCAN clock: 80MhzI'm using PCAN view to test this, with proper settings (8Mbps data rate,80Mhz clock,Nominal bit rate of 1Mbps). Works when I turn the BRS off in the TxHeader. Shows stuff error messages with Data Field indicated as soon as I turn BRS on. I am trying to program the FLASH via the bootloader on USART1 of an STM32L431RBT6.I can successfully access the bootloader with boot0=1 and a reset.The bootloader properly acknowledges all the following commands, and returns the correct information:0x7F 0x00 (Get) 0x01 (Ger version) 0x02 (Get ID) 0x63 (write protect) 0x73 (write unprotect) 0x82 (readout protect) 0x92 (readout unprotect)However, when I try and read or erase the flash the processor seems to reset internally (NRST goes low).An example of this is the following sequence:Send: 0x7F (connect) Receive: 0x79 (ACK)Send: 0x73 0x8C (write unprotect) Receive : 0x79 (ACK)Send: 0x44 0xBB  (extended erase) Receive : 0x79 (ACK)Send: 0xFF 0xFF  0x00 (Mass erase) Receive: (No response and processor resets)The problem is the same if I try and do a bank 1 erase (0xFFFE) or bank 2 erase (0xFFFD) etc…I will note as well that if I don’t do the “write unprotect? command prior to the flash erase, then the processor does respond with

Hi everyone!I'm new to the forum so please let me know if I should add more information, etc..I am using the external SDRAM (MT48LC4M32B2B5-6A, 128Mb) on the STM32F769I-DISC1 board. The SDRAM was configured with CubeMX to use all four memory banks. Everything works fine if I access memory regions from 0xC0000000 to 0xC0800000 (corresponding to 64Mb). If I try to access memory locations beyond 0xC0800000 the MCU ends up in the Hardfault handler.Has someone else experienced this issue?What is the easiest way to check if the SDRAM was correctly set up to use 4 memory banks?Thanks for your help!

Hi everyone!I am trying to write a simple code that starts an ADC DMA based on timer temporization.In order to do this on a Nucleo-STM32F401RE board I use:TIM2, channel 1, output compare no output, mode frozen;ADC1, channel 0, timer 2 trigger out event, rising edge;DMA2 Stream0, mode circular.Looking at the debug the code works fine, timer2 starts and fire interrupts if they are enable, ADC conversion enable bit change its value in the register after the start instruction, but the DMA callback and ADC conversions never happen so the conversion buffer still empty.There is someone who could take a look into the code and help me?Below the code:TIMER 2 INIT:void MX_TIM2_Init(void) { TIM_ClockConfigTypeDef sClockSourceConfig = {0}; TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig = {0}; TIM_OC_InitTypeDef sConfigOC = {0};   htim2.Instance = TIM2; htim2.Init.Prescaler = 100; htim2.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; htim2.Init.Period = 100; htim2.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_D

Hi @Martin KJELDSEN Hi @Alexandre RENOUX I have a general question. What is the difference between the touchgfx_core.a and the touchgfx_core_release.a library (both for Cortex M7)?. With the release version of the library our application crashes after a certain time, whereas we haven't any issues with the other library-versionIn the documentation I don't find any information, what the difference is between these two versions.Best regardsMarco

Hello everyone,I am using the STM32F413 Nucleo-144 development board to generate 2 sinusoidal wave forms at 60Hz. To do this, I have DAC_OUT1 (PA4) and DAC_OUT2 (PA5) conversions running through DMA. The signal from PA5 appears as expected when I measure on the oscilloscope (approximately 3mV ~ 3.3V), however this is not the case with the signal from PA4. The top and bottom of PA4 signal gets clipped as seen in the following image:The top signal is generated by PA4, the bottom signal is generated by PA5.I cannot see any reason for this being the case as the same values are being converted for both signals, and I do not see any datasheet difference between the 2 DACs. if anyone can suggest any reason why this might be the case, it would be greatly appreciated!Thanks

how to configure ADC in stm32cubemx for STM32H743ZI MCU, i tried many times adc not working using DMAPLAESE HELP

Hey there.Iam using a L432KC for a simpe periodic SPI communication with another device.when the communication is done the device is sent to sleep.and then the MCU goes into shutdown mode with HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode();The problem is that the device wakes up after the MCU went to shutdown.the device wakes up when the NSS line is pulled low. I assume that happens when the mcu goes into shutdown. ive configured a pullup on the NSS line in the .ioc file of my project.are theese pullups still active when the mcu is in shutdown mode?is there annother way to set GPIO pins into a "steady-state" before entering the shutdown mode?thank you!
