In STM32CubeMX (6.1.0) for STM32H7 the I2C parameter settings allow you to enable Custom Timing. However, the Timing parameter still remains disabled and cannot be set. I would expect that for custom timing, the user could change the Timing parameter.I'm also wondering why other MCUs (e.g stm32f0) don't even offer a Custom Timing.

Hello,I search information on the managment of the DMA transfert to the timer.I use the TIM1 and TIM8 to generate 3 PWM output on each of them. The six output are synchronized.I want to use the DMA to update the timer value, rated on 28µs.I don't know if I must select TIM1_CH1/CH3/CH3 on the DMA Resquest or if I must select the TIM1_UP ?what are the difference between this two possibility ?thanks in advance.

Hi,So far in AbstractDataGraph.cpp the library had:namespace touchgfx { AbstractDataGraph::AbstractDataGraph(int16_t capacity) : dataScale(1), alpha(255), topPadding(0), leftPadding(0), rightPadding(0), bottomPadding(0), maxCapacity(capacity), usedCapacity(0), gapBeforeIndex(0), clickAction()but it should be:namespace touchgfx { AbstractDataGraph::AbstractDataGraph(int16_t capacity) : dataScale(1), alpha(255), topPadding(0), leftPadding(0), rightPadding(0), bottomPadding(0), maxCapacity(capacity), usedCapacity(0), gapBeforeIndex(0), clickAction(), dragAction()i.e. the problem was that "dragAction" was never initialized and our application would crash. But not every time you dragged a Graph widget, but only sometimes (when you enter that screen and everything is initialized for maybe the 2nd or 3rd time, then with the wrong garbage data, it would crash)Here is our stacktrack where it would always crash. dragAction->isValid() would be called, even though dragAction was never initi

Hi!A question related to the 32 bit TIM2 (or timers in general).I am generating a square wave output using TIM2 Output Compare function with toggle mode.I have also configured the DMA to help switch the CCRx output compare value in order to go from low to high, and high to low again within a each timer period. At least that is want I want to achieve.However, the DMA seems to be triggered at when each timer period is finished and not when each compare has happened. Should it not do this? According to the STM32G4 reference manual, it look like the DMA request should happen after a compare as I expect but not how it is happening? My timer CUBEMX configuration is as following. The system clock is set maximum 170MHz. Prescale set 0, period is set 170000000-1, so I expect the square puls to be generate 1 time per second. Instead it is generate everyother second.This is my code initialization of the timer with the DMA buffer:#define MOTOR_DMA_OC_HIGH 0 #define MOTOR_DMA_OC_LOW 10

Hi all,I am new here and to STM32 in general.Does the STm32F401CE comes from the factory with a DFU bootloader?If so, does a full chip erase with the CubeProgrammer and a stlink v2 erases that factory bootloader?.If so, is the binary of the factory bootloader available so it can be flashed back into the device? I can't get the DFU bootloader recognized by the CubeProgammer, if it's because of the full chip erases I performed, I wonder if I can program the stock bootloader back. Below is a snapshot of a memory dump of of the bootloader area, I think. I am using STM32F401CE with a 25Mhz external crystal, and everything else works.

I took the "Examples\UART\UART_Printf" as reference and added the EmbOS. Printf worded with embOS. In some steep, after project clean or some project changes, the printf stopped to work.Uart works. I use STM32CubeIDE.What can be a reason?

Hi. I'm getting weird data when reading UID from ST25DV04K via i2c.Tag id should be 0E 02 24 00 F3 DF 43 BDWhen reading via i2c HAL_I2C_Mem_Read( nfcI2c, ST25DV_Address_E21_read, UID_ADDRESS, 2, nfcUID, 8, 0xFFFFFF );i'm getting 00 02 24 00 F3 DF 43 01 ( first and last byte are wrong )When reading via i2c byte by byte for( int k = 0; k < 8; k++ ) HAL_I2C_Mem_Read( nfcI2c, ST25DV_Address_E21_read, UID_ADDRESS + k, 2, nfcUID + k, 1, 0xFFFFFF );00 00 00 00 01 01 01 01Tried 100k and 400k speeds.Logic analyzer shows the same Android app reads UID via RF correctly

I am using Cool Term to print text to the USART.How can I make a new line?Now, it looks like this:TextTextText.....But I want it like this:TextTextText......

Hi everyone,I have just created a project. I haven't done any modifications and I am getting this error when building the project:make: *** [makefile:44: nucleo-g474re-blinky.elf] Error 1 "make -j8 all" terminated with exit code 2. Build might be incomplete.   19:26:10 Build Failed. 1 errors, 0 warnings. (took 1s.74ms)Could someone help me out ? Thanks in advance.

I wanted to replace my system that used to work with stm32f407VGT6 with STM32H723VET6 as it is cheaper.I designed a new pcb, followed the steps in the link below and created a project.https://community.st.com/s/article/How-to-create-project-for-STM32H7-with-Ethernet-and-LwIP-stack-workingI got hardfault every time I compile the code and throw it to the processor.While reviewing the processor datasheet, I saw that the ram areas he suggested to use in the example were 16KB instead of 128KB in the STM32H750.Default address of LWIP_RAM_HEAP_POINTER (RAM Heap Pointer) 0x30044000 corresponds to non-existent memory in STM32H723VET6each time I got HardFault from the function below.StartDefaultTask MX_LWIP_Init tcpip_init lwip_init mem_initDoes anyone have any suggestions about problem?

I have bought this product set.https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/evaluation-tools/product-evaluation-tools/stm32-nucleo-expansion-boards/p-nucleo-lrwan2.htmlI can connect to its gateway through virtual serial Tera terminal. Also it can connect to Loriot gateway server.However, the sensor node board with the USI I-NUCLEO-LRWAN1 shield does not respond to AT command through a Tera terminal. Also, the Cayene application does not show any activity of this sensor board.How do I correct it?

Hey folks,I am trying to use BSP package for recording audio on stm32h747 discovery board. I created a project from scratch and tried to do what ever I saw in the BSP exam for the board. However, "BSP_AUDIO_IN_TransferComplete_CallBack" function is never called really. I am wondering if there is some hidden things that I need to do for the callback. I can also provide my project files if it is necessary.Thanks,

Please note: what I am describing is my experimentation to try to figure out how all this works. Yes, there are likely things you wouldn't do in a real life situation, but I want to understand all the edge cases.Also note, I am not using a HAL or library (I am actually using Rust, but that shouldn't matter), so all the details I describe directly relate to registers. Please don't suggest how to "fix" my issue by using a HAL or library.And finally, all help is GREATLY appreciated, I've been banging my head against the wall for days on this now!Here goes...Timer is the 32bit TIM2It is set up so each TIM2 CNT increment = 1uSBut I'm only using 16 bits (again, for test purposes), so ARR = 65535I manually increment CCR1 by 110 in my TIM2 interrupt handler on each valid interruptI filter the interrupt handler on SR.CC1IF = 1The OC mode is "frozen", I am not using the microcontroller to control the output pin for meTest goal: To toggle an output pin in my TIM2 interrupt handler using Outp

Hallo i´m using STM32F107 and i want to choose in STMCubeMX the TIM6 for triggering the adc in specific times for measuring. My Problem is that i can´t select TIM6 for triggering. What i don´t find is why. In the manual and so on is this possibility is even explicitly mentioned. But how I have to parameterize it?

Hi ,is there any user manual " how to connect ST25RU3993 UHF module via raspberry pi " please send if any documents

I've got erratic behavior of access to H3LIS331DL sensor from my MCU when STOP2 mode is set. It seems that sometimes, the Interrupt ( INT1 on DRDY) received from theH3LIS331 is not, or very lately processed (maybe after wake up from other reason). I can see that when the H3LIS331DL interrupt is processed very late (about 7ms after the INT1 signal), sometimes the I2C Data reading (that I can see with digital signal analizer) does not reset the DRDY interrupt from the H3LIS331DL, and then the acquisition process is no more ongoing.By the way if I set HSI clock either than MSI before entering STOP2 mode the processing seems as fast as if i was not in STOP2 mode... and then every thing is ok ?Any clues ?

Is it possible to use MCUs in the STM32WB line in both Bluetooth LE and Bluetooth Classic modes at the same time? I've seen that it does "dual mode", but not whether it can do both at the same time.Thanks

Hello, on my STM32H747-DISC1, I had huge issues with DMA2D and CLUT (it was freezing etc).I thought it's because cache maintenance, but anyway after doing everything correctly, DMA is still buggy. Finally I find out, that 90% of my DMA2D executions throws DMA2D_FLAG_CE, but anyway DMA2D renders it.Code: dma2d_handle.Init.Mode = DMA2D_R2M; dma2d_handle.Init.ColorMode = DMA2D_ARGB8888; dma2d_handle.Init.OutputOffset = Offset;   dma2d_handle.Instance = DMA2D;   if(HAL_DMA2D_Init(&dma2d_handle) == HAL_OK) { if(HAL_DMA2D_ConfigLayer(&dma2d_handle, layer_index) == HAL_OK) { if (HAL_DMA2D_Start(&dma2d_handle, ColorIndex, (uint32_t)dst, xSize, ySize) == HAL_OK) { HAL_DMA2D_PollForTransfer(&dma2d_handle, 10); // returns HAL_ERROR and HAL_DMA2D_FLAG_CE } } }Any ideas?

Hello, I have my project based on STM32H753I-EVAL with RGB LCD display and SDRAM.I'm using DMA2D to render lines with CLUT L8 (Pulling mode). Basically, I process data for one line (one line have 320 pixels), and then execute it 108 times (for height). I'm rendering this 30 times per second. But for some reason, it sometimes render black (so it's blinking) (where data are correct), or it just freeze (since it's polling mode, it's frozen in checking if transfer was finished). After it timeout, it tries once again, until after few seconds it starts work again and then again freeze. I would expect that somewhere in code I have issue, but the exactly same code, used on STM32F429-DISC1, it works absolutely fine. So it looks like it's not my code problem, but my several concerns are:1) SDRAM - I tried to verify if SDRAM have correct clock and configuration according to EVAL example, everything looks good2) Broken DMA IP Core inside H7?3) Other clock problemI'm totally out of ideas, since it

Good day,I might be missing something, but an issue cropped up when I moved to SPC5 Studio 6.0.0 Asimov when attempting to compile any project that includes the MCTK Web Library. The message that I get while building is:./components/spc56xx_web_motor_control_component/lib/System_Drive_Params/src/Spc5xxx_MC_it.c:48:21: fatal error: pal_lld.h: No such file or directoryAny ideas as to why this might be happening? Thanks in advance.

I am trying to build a project 'GPS aided INS' in college. I have tried many options for interfacing  "MKI196V1 (ASM330LLH)" IMU, but couldn't get the results. I tried interfacing the sensor with STM32 (maple mini) using sduino, also with nano and uno. If anyone has any resources related to the above-listed issues, kindly help.

I'm picking up a design from another engineer, and we've noticed the most recent hardware revision of our board has a sense range of approximately half of the previous version. We're using the same antenna and matching network, same layout and components. There is a minor change in the stackup which I'm not discounting, but I'd like to find out if the 3911 has debug facilities that would help me see what it's struggling with.What facilities does the 3911 have to diagnose read issues? I see that it has some trim pins that it presumably uses to try to maximize the power transfer, does it have any registers I can access to see if it's running out of headroom trying to read the tag? Are there any app notes or diagnostic routines I can read?

Hi All, I am working on TouchGFX using STMCubeIDE( STM32G474 Eval-Board). There is a need to implement external flash driver for the project. I am using QSPI for implementing the flash driver. In linker file I have memory definitions as below : /* Memories definition */MEMORY{ RAM  (xrw)  : ORIGIN = 0x20000000,  LENGTH = 128K FLASH  (rx)  : ORIGIN = 0x8000000,  LENGTH = 512K QSPI_FLASH (r)  : ORIGIN = 0x9000000,  LENGTH = 16M}/* Sections */.ARM.attributes 0 : { *(.ARM.attributes) } ExtFlashSection : { *(ExtFlashSection ExtFlashSection.*) *(.gnu.linkonce.r.*)    . = ALIGN(0x4); } >QSPI_FLASHNow, While programming the external flash using STMCube Programmer, its not able to program it. The STMCubeIDE generates .elf file which I trying to program and CubeProgrammer fails to program for QSPI_FLASH region. Error Image below :-Please check if anybody can help
