Hi all,I'm working on a project that will communicate via SPI. I want to use DMA for it. I have some problem getting HAL_SPI_TxCpltCallback to be called. I've followed the debbuger and I think I've found what's wrong. It seems that the SPI_DMATransmitCplt function is not checking the hspi instance at the right address. Here is the state of the right hspi instance before beginning the transmission. Notice the byte is set to 0x1 (HAL_SPI_STATE_READY).Here is the same variable after the hspi state has been put to 0x3 (HAL_SPI_STATE_BUSY_TX).So far, so good. The transmission occurs and then the HAL_DMA_IRQHandler is called. The SPI_DMATransmitCplt function is then called. In this function, there is the lineSPI_HandleTypeDef *hspi = (SPI_HandleTypeDef *)((DMA_HandleTypeDef *)hdma)->Parent;This line is supposed to return the hspi instance previously mentionned. Instead, it returns another instance with its state set to 0x1 (HAL_SPI_STATE_READY).This means that HAL_SPI_IRQHandler will never

Hello everyone,I am currently a student in computer science. For an association project (linked to my school), I must take over a project which used a STM32F746BGTx LQFP208 board. The whole project contains a .ioc file, the generated sources and a lot of custom sources for achieving the past goals of the project I am taking over. The problem is, when I want to create a new STM32 Project from an existing STM32CubeMX configuration file (.ioc), it says the project is using STM32 FW F7 V1.7.0, which is not available on the ST website. It doesn't generate the sources after that (which I don't want, I only want to be able to open the project, to work on it and to build/compile it). I have tried to open it with FW F7 V1.15.0 & V1.16.0 but it didn't worked. Same by opening project from file system, I can't open the .ioc file.I am working in my association local network, which is secured from Internet, so I can't directly download the FW update, I must import it using sftp.Is there any ways

Hello, I am using a MEMS PDM microphone and reading it in using I2S. The following parameters are set in my I2S and PDM configurations.hi2s3.Instance = SPI3; hi2s3.Init.Mode = I2S_MODE_MASTER_RX; hi2s3.Init.Standard = I2S_STANDARD_MSB; hi2s3.Init.DataFormat = I2S_DATAFORMAT_24B; hi2s3.Init.MCLKOutput = I2S_MCLKOUTPUT_DISABLE; hi2s3.Init.AudioFreq = I2S_AUDIOFREQ_48K; hi2s3.Init.CPOL = I2S_CPOL_LOW; hi2s3.Init.ClockSource = I2S_CLOCK_PLL; hi2s3.Init.FullDuplexMode = I2S_FULLDUPLEXMODE_ENABLE;The PDM2PCM decimation factor is 64. I am sending the data out of the uart at 2Mbaud, but am getting gaps of corrupt values in my data. Is this because I am not sending it fast enough? If so, how could I buffer this better in order to fix this issue? Thanks for any help, my code is here as well and an image of my plotted audio. HAL_I2S_Receive_DMA(&hi2s3, &pdmRxBuf[0],64); HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA(&huart2, (uint8_t *)txBuf, 256); /* USER CODE END 2 */   /* Infinite loop

I'm trying to import an example project for STM32WB using STM32CubeIDE V1.5.1  and got the following error:I tried doing package updates, uninstall and reinstall and everything I could think of but I wasn't able to figure out how to resolve this (tried googling/forum searching it but no luck). Following I report you the Package installed: How can I resolve this issue?

Like several other people, I missed the confirmation email that was sent - unfortunately I was on vacation on Friday, and the window to reply to the email included the weekend. I would still very much like to attend the course. Is there any way that I can still confirm and get a seat? Thanks in advance,Chris

Hi.I want to use DPI2 located at pins 66 (miso), 68 (mosi) and 112 (clock) to control two different SPI slave devices. Pin 57 (CS0) and pin 64 (CS2) are wired to the respective chip selects. Then I used the wizards to generate application code for SPI2, using CS0 in hardware. Works like a charm. But how can I add the second device, also using SPI2 and a different chip select? When I try to duplicate my SPI setting and changing the chip select line, the application stop using the former CS0 completely.Controller is SPC58EC80E5QMC0, using SPC5studio 6 "asimov".Thanks.Edit: SPC5Studio offers options like hardware continuous, hardware discontinuous, software. Why is there no documentation, what those options actually do?

What is the Emission Designatgor for NFC? I'm using ST25R3911 with  ISO15693 .

Hello, for static code analysis I need the output from the clean/build process. So I searched how to build my project via command line and found the headless-build.bat (I use windows 10). After some problems with the syntax I finally got it running. The only problem is, that when I want to clean the project (-clean), it automatically builds the project afterwards. I didn’t find anything how to stop this process after cleaning - do you have any idea? Thanks and best regards

Hi,I am working with the CR95HF on the xnucleo nfc03a1 and using a custom Atmega328 board. I can communicate with the CR95HF but the read sequence is kind of like in a shift register. See attached figures.Fig 1: I am only reading the device ID, notice how the bytes shift for some reason.Fig 2: I also read echo and all the bytes are out of order. The code I am using is as follows:startCR95HF(); transmitSPI(0x00); transmitSPI(0x01); transmitSPI(0x00); stopCR95HF(); // send ID command pollCR95HF(); startCR95HF(); transmitSPI(0x02); // read ID transmitUart0('ID '); for (int i = 0; i<17; i++){ transmitUart0(receiveSPI()); } stopCR95HF(); startCR95HF(); transmitSPI(0x00); transmitSPI(0x55); transmitSPI(0x00); stopCR95HF(); pollCR95HF(); // send command for echo   startCR95HF(); transmitSPI(0x02); transmitUart0(receiveSPI()); stopCR95HF(); // read echo Any idea what might be causing this? Thanks in advanceRegards,Salman

It's not fixed at all

Hi,I am new to the STM32 controllers.I am using STM32Cube IDE for my test projects.I want to purchase one evaluation board to check the peripheral functionality of STM32L151RCT6 .Please suggest me which evaluation board is suitable ?

I have spend some time to thoroughly understand the B-G431B-ESC1 board, which is a BLDC motor controller. According to the L6387E datasheet the high level logic threshold voltage is minimum at 3.6V. Looking at the schematic of the discovery board, the high and low level logic pins of the gate driver are directly connected to the microcontroller (STM32G431). These pins are 3.3V when high. How come the L6387E is chosen as gate driver instead of L6388E which has a high level logic threshold voltage minimum of 1.8V?Also the L6388E is branded as "3.3 V, 5 V, 15 V CMOS/TTL input comparator swith hysteresis and pull-down".

Hi,I'm testing the MotionFX library with the Discovery Kit IoT node [B-L4S5I-IOT01-A] and I have a problem: randomly the sensor fusion algorithm "explodes" and I can only get only "nan" values for all the `MFX_MagCal_output_t` values, Gyro Biases included.What can be the cause of this behavior?Following my initialization code:int32_t initMotionFX() { char lib_version[MFX_STR_LENG]; MFX_knobs_t iKnobs; /* Sensor Fusion API initialization function */ MotionFX_initialize();   MotionFX_GetLibVersion(lib_version);   MotionFX_getKnobs(&iKnobs); iKnobs.LMode = 1; iKnobs.gyro_orientation[0] = 'n'; iKnobs.gyro_orientation[1] = 'w'; iKnobs.gyro_orientation[2] = 'u'; iKnobs.acc_orientation[0] = 'n'; iKnobs.acc_orientation[1] = 'w'; iKnobs.acc_orientation[2] = 'u'; // Note: the magnetometer is rotated by 180° respect to the IMU iKnobs.mag_orientation[0] = 's'; iKnobs.mag_orientation[1] = 'e'; iKnobs.mag_orientation[2] = 'u';   MotionFX_setKnobs(&iKnobs); &n

I want to store my software version and data at a pointed section of STM32's Flash.I have tried to config the stc file in keil mdk,but it seems not working. So could anyone help me to find which step not right,thanks.1. I set in keil to use user configured stc file;2. I set the sct file like this:;Add 0x0x0801B000 start address,2k=0x800 length to define as myram section to store user data3.I define MYRAM as __attribute__((section("myram"))):4.I use MYRAM to define user data const variable:then i rebuild this program and download the hex to STM32G4,but the sct file defined style variable could not be found at MYRAM section at 0x0801B000;But when I use the style liking attribute at + address,it is useful; So the attribute at + address method is useful, but if I want to define another const variable behind the UserData_BlockValue2, I have to calculate the address because of the length of UserData_BlockValue2, this seems a little tedious.I want to know is it possible to use sct file

Hello ,i am testin my STM32F769I_EVAL board for USB Host Mass storage example from below project example C:\Users\Graffin01\STM32Cube\Repository\STM32Cube_FW_F7_V1.15.0\Projects\STM32F769I_EVAL\Applications\USB_Host\MSC_Standalone\SW4STM32but i could not see mass storage drive in my computeri could only explore files on lcdhow i could see drive of usb flash disk in my computer?Best RegardsDipk Garasiya

This is an Power Management IC but I can't find it's datasheet or Part number with all my search, Could you help please?

First of all, I apologize for my unprofessional English! In the process of using STM32 board to collect data from lsm6dsl module, the angular velocity data of gyroscope can be output stably, but there are jumps in the angular velocity of three directions. In the high performance mode I set, the range of the gyroscope is 250dps, the frequency is 52hz, and the peak value of the jump is 2.2dps (the peak value is stable, and it feels like being limited).According to the gyroscope digital chain:I have opened digital LP filter (lpf2), digital high pass filter (HPF) and digital low pass filter (lpf1), but I have not improved the jump.Do you know what the problem is ?

I have been looking for something in the structure. while ((huart1.hdmatx->State != HAL_DMA_STATE_READY) && (huart1.hdmatx->Lock != HAL_UNLOCKED))But that does not seem to work. The only other way I can think of is when you call HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA() set a variable to 1, and then setup a callback complete and set it to 0. Is that the best way to do it?

After spending a year or so on different processors, I returned to a new project using the STM32L476 which I had used STM32CubeMX V5.x on before.Using STM32CubeMX V6.1.1 with MDK 5.27 even the simplest USB CDC serial port device would not work; the windows driver gets part way through initiating the device as a serial port and then fails to open with error code 10. The same settings using CubeMX V5.x did not have this problem.Other notes: Using STM32CubeMX V6.1.1 with MDK 5.27 with the same usb cdc configuration but on a STM32L152RC runs perfectly. With STM32CubeMX V6.1.1 one can ONLY select firmware package STM32Cube FW_L4 V1.16.0, and editing the .ioc file to force an earlier package e.g. STM32Cube FW_L4 V1.13.0 fails to produce compile-able code. The only GOOD thing is that finally there is a "CDC_TransmitCplt_FS" hook added which I always had to add manually before. If anyone knows a work around please let me know, otherwise I will have to set up another machine (yet again) for runn

I'm using the Nucleo-H743ZI STM32 development board on windows 10. When I upload a program that sends out data through CDC with CDC_Transmit_FS and open a serial monitor right after, it works fine. But when I disconnect and reconnect the Nucleo to my computer the serial port cannot seem to be able to open. In Putty I get unable to configure serial port. This only happens when I unplug the ST-Link side of the nucleo. My code is very basic and shown below: while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */   /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ CDC_Transmit_FS((uint8_t *) "AAAAAAAA\r\n", 10); HAL_Delay(100);   }What do you think is the problem? Thank you.

Hi, I'm trying to follow this tutorial :- https://youtu.be/Hk--a4K497M -- demonstrating how to transmit simple string to PC via usb virtual com port. Unfortunately, I'm getting no output on my serial port. During debugging, I found that CDC_Transmit_FS() always returns USBD_BUSY since hcdc->TxState never goes to zero. Also, hcdc->RxBuffer and hcdc->TxBuffer throw an error stating cannot access memory at a certain address. Things I have tried :- 1) increase heap and stack size to 800 and 1200 respectively.2) change USB_HS_MAX_PACKET_SIZE and CDC_DATA_HS_MAX_PACKET_SIZE to 256.3) Adding more delay before CDC_Transmit_FS().PS: I'm able to send and receive data via USB using MBed online compiler's library (Serial (USBTX, USBRX)).OS: Windows 10, Serial port monitor : CoolTerm , Toolchain: STM32CubeIDE.
