Hello,I am using the pedometer function in the LSM6DSOX. I want to change the debounce steps register value (default =10).I have changed the value to 15 but i am already seeing some delta steps = 11 (<15).Is there on order to change the debounce steps value?I'm doing like this:enable the accelerometerchange the debounce steps value in 0x84 registerenable the pedometer functionbest regardsYann

Hi,I am planning to implement DALI on STM32G MCU, I have looked at the documentation but all the example projects are with STM32L1 or STM32F1 and the library provided by STM is based on IAR workbench. My questions are Can I implement DALI Slave on STM32G MCU?Can I use the library files provided in DALI002(based on STM32L1) directly in my project? Thanks for your Help in Advance.Best Regards,Prasanna

I want to develop my own boot loader for STM32 MCU so is there any resources or video or example code for how to do this?

You can literally see the chip pinout being drawn scrolling down line by line, up to a minute to get it to refresh properly. I have other far more graphics-intensive CAD programs on the virtual machine and they run fine. Has anyone encountered this issue before?

I'm working on the NUCLEO-G071RB development board, using the IAR-EWARM (8.50.9) tool-chain.I've created a very basic program that only toggles user led (LD4) at 500ms intervals (using a wait loop with NOP instructions). The program doesn't use RAM (however it is initialized by the start-up code from IAR).With the RAM_PARITY_CHECK option bit set, the program runs as expected and the led blinks every 500ms.When i clear the RAM_PARITY_CHECK option bit (using STM32CubeProgrammer) the program doesn't run, and the debug environment of IAR points to address 0xFFFFFFE when i halt the processor. When the RAM_PARITY_CHECK option bit is restored (set) again, the program again executes as expected. What can be the cause of this strange behavior?

Now, using Dynamic Graph Widget in Touch 4.15. We only draw 4 lines, but somtimes picture does not smooth. It looks like it blocked somewhere, button action is delayed. At last we find render time become biger as line draws more. hoping for some help to make performance better. here is our trys:canvas buffer , I tried most large like 750KB, it won't help.mcu clock rate, make faster do help.but for battery reason, can'tdouble fram buffer, looks like no help

HiWe are using 95128-A125. It's datasheet provides "write cycle endurance" numbers for various operating temperatures. But there is a note that reads "The Write cycle endurance is defined for groups of four data bytes located at addresses [4*N, 4*N+1, 4*N+2, 4*N+3] whereN is an integer, or for the status register byte". Is the "status register byte write" considered as one write cycle regardless of address? For writing to any location within the EEPROM, we have to write to status register first (to set the bit WEL). Suppose we perform the following steps:Write to status register to set WEL, then write 32 bit data at address 0x0000.Write to status register to set WEL, then write 32 bit data at address 0x0010.Write to status register to set WEL, then write 32 bit data at address 0x0020.Q1: How many write cycles will be counted for address 0x0000? One? or two (because we wrote into the status register AND wrote to address 0x0000)?Q2: Since we wrote 3 times into the status register (but fo

I went through the MOOC part 6 and I thought of creating a new project for Nucleo -L476RG (from the scratch), I Created a new code using CubeMX (Use same pins ands USART) and followed the same steps as video 2,4 as describes. but once I use FLASH_SBSFU.xxxxxxx .bat it will end less than 1s and .sfb file is not generating. All the paths also created in the .bat file. Please can anyone help me

Can LPTIM1 be used to wake the STM32H7 from CSTOPoperating mode? From RM0455 the "RCC APB1 low-sleep clock register (RCC_APB1LLPENR" has the following bit: However the above mentions CSLEEP, not CSTOP which is a lower power operating mode.I think I can get the behaviour I want, timer based wakeup from CSTOP, using the RTC peripheral but for other reasons I want to do this with LPTIM1. Nothing I have tried towards this has worked. Thanks for any and all help.

HiI just testing some options for a future project which possibly involves a STM32F479VIT and I try to understand if it can handle an IS42S16400J-7TL SDRAM module. So I created a test project in CubeIDE but it does not show any SDRAM option in the FMC section. But in the Datasheet of the F479 there is a whole section dedicated to SDRAM. I am missing something? It shows only SRAM and PSRAM etc...

Hello,I am running FreeRTOS Multitasks application. Actually, I am using the DMA1 channel 4 and 5 for SPI transfer and request #1.Now, I wonder if I can run in parallel USART DMA using the same channels (4 and 5) but they are linked to another request #.. #2. So, can I have some issue to enable both? For example, I can wait data on UART lines for few seconds and in same time, I am using the SPI to communication with a device using the same DMA channel. Thanks for your helpChristian

Hi,With CubeMX I can adjust where the repositories are saved. This function is missing in CubeIDE and its also not using the same from CubeMX.Because the saved files are huge, then I get problem when I login/logout in the company. Because the files are saved in the user directory, the first login/logout needed more than 1 hour because windows want to synchronise with the servers profile and the CubeIDE files are in the profile. The same happens again when i update the device database. This need a change or is there any way to change it?At the other side, its without any reason to have the same files twice in the system!!?? Why both programms dont use the same data?Osto

Reader IC: ST25R95 Reader Antenna: 47mmx34mm, 4 loop, PCB antenna based on the reference antenna design from the X-Nucelo-NFC03A1Tag IC: ST25TV02K-AD6H3Desired read range: 10cmI'm trying to optimise a NFC tag PCB antenna for a 10cm read-range for the system above. There are constrains on the dimensions of the tag antenna size. Ideal tag size for our application is roughly 25mmx50mm, however using off the shelf tags I only get close to 10cm with tags larger than 50mmx50mm or 30mmx80mm. As I'm using the ST25TV I've seen that I should tune the antenna for 23pF and hence Lant = 5.95uH. Using the eDesign tool I can play with various parameters to get this resultant inductance. However, there are many options like trace width, trace spacing and number of loops which play a part in the performance and read range of the resulting tag. Of course, tag antenna size / surface area play a significant part. Are there any rules of thumb that can help optimise for smaller size and long read range? As a

Hello,we are bringing-up our custom STM32MP157AAB3 board and we are facing some errors in linux with the uSD that it's connected to the SDMMC1 interface. Here follows our setup:HWSDMMC1 cabled to a uSD connector, PE9 used as card detectSDMMC2 cabled to a 4GB eMMCSDMMC3 cabled to a custom connector (mainly for WiFi modules)SWOpenSTLinux-2.1.0Custom devicetree created starting from STM32CubeMX tool with USER CODE derived from EVKs dtstf-a and u-boot are read via SDMMC1kernel is loaded via tftpRFS is mounted via NFSWhen we insert the uSD card the kernel periodically prints this error:[ 134.448880] mmci-pl18x 58005000.sdmmc: error -110 requesting statushowever the device is usable.Using several uSD cards (of different manufacturers) we see that some are detected at the insertion and the volumes are automatically mounted, some are detected (the kernel creates the devices) but non other actions are performed (trying to manually mount the volumes stucks the tool), some other are not even detec

Hi, I have TESEO VIC3DA Evaluation board. I can not find this board schematics and other design files in ST website. I dismantle the box and look the eval board pcb and I saw there is STM32L4xx MCU. Here is my questions:We send the NMEA commands with Teseo Suite tool to that STM32L4xx MCU, right? STM32L4xx is host MCU right? Can I design a system without using PC tool and sending the commands with programming host MCU (maybe different from STM32L4xx) to module over UART or I2C? And, looking for TESEO LIV3F documents I found more app notes and support docs but not same for VIC3DA. Can I assume both modules are similar and take reference LIV3F docs and notes. Thanks in advance.

Currently working on a Bitcoin hardware wallet on the STM32F7 Discovery platform. I wanted to use the cryptographic library to secure information stored in the EEPROM as well as perform hashing functions. VFP is not supported in libSTM32CryptographicV3.0.0_CM7_GCC_ot.a Is there anybody that works at STM that would compile an object file with GCC and DM me with a copy. Where:Floating-point unit = 'FPv5-SP-D16'Floating-point ABI = 'Hardware implementation (-mfloat-abi=hard)' Mcu = 'STM32F746NGHx'Board = 'STM32F746G-DISCO' I have seen this done before here...https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009Xke2s/xcubecrypto-library-cubemx-helpby STOne-32 Thanks Russeree

HelloI am a beginner. I am trying to build my project using the minmea library but I got a "timegm" warning. In the library page says <Some systems lack timegm. On these systems, the recommended course of action is to build with -Dtimegm=mktime which will work correctly as long the system runs in the default UTC timezone.>. I added the -Dtimegm=mktime in this places in my project settingMCU GCC Compiler >> Miscellaneous >> Add other flagsMCU GCC Linker >> Miscellaneous >> Add other flagsbut still I have the messages or wariningHow to solve it. Hello,is there any way at all to make the offset calibration data (and maybe the cross-talk-calibration data) sent to the VL6180 not volatile like this? What is the reasoning behind it being overwritten after every restart? The same goes for the device address. Although that seems at least a little more reasonable to me.Background: For an IoT Project we will be using multiple VL6180 (together in one case called "Sensorbox" for this purpose) controlled by one MCU. However, the MCU will not be in the same "Sensorbox" but connected to it via a short cable. Therefore, the MCU is interchangeable between multiple "Sensorboxes" and by extension multiple sets of VL6180s. It is next to impossible for us to do the calibration with the exact same MCU that will be used in the final application. Transferring the different sets of calibration data for each Sensorbox between MCUs is more than just annoying. In addition to that, the MCU is battery powered where energy consumption is a major factor and
