For some reason, CubeMX won't let me disable the DMA IRQ in the ADC configuration panel. The ability to deactivate ISR is important when the ADC is configured in continuous mode.Because my ADC conversion is small, the ISR are generated at a very high frequency; completely choking the CPU.How do you disable ADC DMA interrupts in cubeMX?--- Build infoSTM32CubeIDEVersion: 1.8.0Build: 11526_20211125_0815 (UTC)OS: Windows 10, v.10.0, x86_64 / win32Java version: 11.0.11

It has the auto-generated plugin include "links", but I am missing the following.{project}/Core/Inc{project}/Drivers/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32G4xx/Include{project}/Drivers/CMSIS/Include{project}/Drivers/STM32G4xx_HAL_Driver/Inc{project}/Drivers/STM32G4xx_HAL_Driver/Inc/LegacyI am concerned that if I just create a real {project}/Includes directory and start adding symbolic links that will conflict with the auto-generated plugin links that already are there. The other alternative I see is to auto-generate a new project using the STM32 Wizard, and then go back in and add the C++ tools in a C++ Build Settings configuration (enabling g++)..The 1.8.0 IDE is running on a Ubuntu 20.04 LTS system. I also would like to make this project build on a Win10 system, but I am not a Windows coder and I do not know how to make the Doze equivalent of 'symlinks'.I'd rather learn to do this correctly rather than fixing each individual error by copying the header files all over the place! Thanks in advance

I am beginner with STM32CubeIDE 1.8.0 and am having trouble delivering release mode firmware to the attached target (STM32F0Discovery module, which is otherwise working well.)I am now experimenting with switching from Debug (the default configuration of the project when it was first generated, beginning with STM32CubeMX) and Release (my goal) using the small hammer-like icon near the left end of the icon ribbon just below the main menu of STM32CubeIDE. When I switch from debug to release this way, I can go to Project > Properties and see in the main pane C/C++ Build that Configuration has switched from Debug to Release [Active]. It is clear from the compiler/linker console messages that the text size of the resulting binary (elf) file is changing as expected between release (smaller) and debug (larger) configuration. To download firmware to the target, I am always using Run > Run (I suspect this is my problem, but I'm not certain, hence my question.)I think the previously generate

Hi everyone!I have to implement a dual bootloader system on different stm32 microcontrollers in STM32cube ide, and I have some questions…The idea is the following:There is a “pre-bootloader? at the beginning of the flash. When it starts, it gets some data from a specified memory (flash) area: the address, size and crc of the actual “real? bootloader. (Let’s name this area BL_DATA). Calculates the crc of the bootloader, compares it to the stored value, and if it’s ok, jumps to that address. The bootloader waits for messages over u(s)art. If the arrived message is a command to flash the user app, it gets the app binary in chunks, and after some validation it writes the new user app to the specified address. The address, size and crc of the user app are stored in BL_DATA. After flashing the user app, the bootloader refreshes user app crc and size. The address of the user app is constant. If the command is to flash the bootloader, it writes the arriving program to the proper address: there

Hi, CommunityI'm building linux based firmware on STM32MP157F ad I need to apply linux RT patches.I'm using STM32MP157F-EV1 for testingAs linuxkernel I'm using ST linux v5.10-stm32mp-r2, of STMicroelectronics linux repo. This tag is v5.10.61 kernel version, so I took patch-5.10.59-rt52.patch.gz, since it is nearest kernel version. The patch was applied without errors, but at startup there is a following exception in pinctrl-stm32 driver:[ 2.905809] ------------[ cut here ]------------ [ 2.905823] WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 1 at kernel/locking/rtmutex.c:2040 __rt_mutex_trylock+0x110/0x114 [ 2.905860] CPU: 0 PID: 1 Comm: swapper/0 Tainted: G W 5.10.61-rt52agvl-stm32mp157f-ev1 #2 [ 2.905873] Hardware name: STM32 (Device Tree Support) [ 2.905890] [<c010f7c8>] (unwind_backtrace) from [<c010c3c0>] (show_stack+0x10/0x14) [ 2.905919] [<c010c3c0>] (show_stack) from [<c0db0a58>] (dump_stack+0xb4/0xc8) [ 2.905940] [<c0db0a58>] (dump_stack) from [<c012f8f8>] (__w

Hi!I found a thread that says thtat the ST-LINK/V2 can be used as in circuit programmer.SensorTile.box firmware OTA function restore documentation says that the programmer, a  JTAG adapter board V1.0 and a Flat cable to connect JTAG adapter to SensorTile.box is needed. The SensorTile.box user manual says in chaper 3.3: "... and the most recent release of the Sensortile.box includes an adapter board and cable for the ST-LINK/V2 programming and debugging device."I ordered two devices of the SensorTile.box but there was no adapter or cable included. Can you give me information where to get those? I could not find them anywhere as separate parts. Are they part of the STLink/V2 package? And another question: There is a UART for debugging purposes on SensorTile.box pins available. Can I use the STLink/V2 directly to read from those pins with my PC and a serial console? Or do I need a separate converter?Best wishes,Dominik

Hi I have problem with LINFlex5 calling 'Stuck at Zero Flag' interrupt continuously. Voltage on the pin 29 (GPIO4/E0UC4/CS0_1/LIN5RX/WKUP9) is 3.2V nevertheless. It's 100-pin LQFP version so there no other choise for LIN5RX input (using PADSEL60). I configured pin in PCR4 boyh as input or input with pull-up but to no avail.I'll be grateful for any helpRegradsPavel

HiDoes anyone knows where I can find data for this memory? Thanks

Hi I am using FreeRTOS on STM32H7. For large data, I am using qspi attached and memory mapped external psram.Question is: what will happen if both task try to read/write to psram at the same time?Is there any cache or buffer in place? What if the scheduler switch to another task while the qspi transfer is still in operation? Is accessing memory mapped qspi ram thread safe?I am getting strange errors, similar to the memory corruptions when something overflows. Memory is accessed directly at the address 0x90000000.

Posted on January 20, 2017 at 02:29I don't know what i did... but my Rank1 is gone in ADC 1 & 2 ??I have 4 input i want to sample... If i configure a new project.. i get all 4, but not in this one :-SClues or bug ??/MAnd now where i just got my ADC->DMA running  ready for more fun..#adc #stm32cubemx #rank

Going over the documentation for the EVSPIN32G4, this is the schematics for current sensing:But starting a project in Motor Control Workbench for this board, seems to have different values for the same schematics:Am I missing something? Why the discrepancy?

I'm following the tutorial here but when I define `VIRT_UART_HandleTypeDef huart0;` I get error: unknown type name. It seems like the only include I should need is openamp.h, but that doesn't seem to do the trick.

Hello everyone, I am making a USB Composite Device according to the article - https://sudonull.com/post/68144-CDC-MSC-USB-Composite-Device-on-STM32-HAL. I use stm32l4xx, instead of the HAL_PCDEx_PMAConfig() functions, I use the HAL_PCDEx_SetTxFiFo()/HAL_PCDEx_SetRxFiFo() functions. Could you tell me how to configure them correctly for Composite USB? And for what parameters are these functions responsible? Thanks in advance.

The examples in CubeU5 package always states to activate dual bank mode, when using TrustZone. Can't you use single bank mode and just allocate specific sectors to be secure? Is it possible to use TrustZone without dual bank? Some types don't have it.Best regards Lukas

Hello,I use STM32H735DK. And I'm creating an Ethernet project using STM32CubeMXHowever, the following sample software did not have an .ioc file--STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.9.1\Projects\STM32H735G-DK\Applications\LwIP\LwIP_UDP_Echo_Server--I created a new project and generated an .ioc file using STMCubeMX.However, Ethernet did not work in the project.LinkerScript.ld is the same as H7_V1.9.1 andI checked for differences with the sample software. There was a differenceAdded the following code, as a result Ethernet worked--__HAL_RCC_D2SRAM1_CLK_ENABLE();--Where can I find this setting in STMCubeMX?Best regards

Hi all,I'm new to the STM32 MCU familiy, so I've got trouble already doing basic stuff like reading the analog input value of the potentiometer. My main problem is, that I don't understand how multiple measurements can be made on one single ADC. I've watched several Videos about the topic already, but can't get it to wok properly. With some code variants I read bigger numbers that shouldn't be possible with a 12bit ADC (23.000-ish or even bigger), with other codes I dont get anything back at all. What I did so far:The datasheet states that the potentiometer is connected to pin PC3, so I added this pin in CubeMX as a ADC1_IN9 pin. In the ADC1 Mode and Config tab, I didn't change any settings, as I'm not sure if its needed. Only thing I've read in one of STM's MC docs is that I'm not allowed to use the injected conversion mode as it will interfere with the motor controls. In the while loop I added these commands:HAL_ADC_Start(&hadc1);ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0};sConfig.Channe

I'm using the bootlin buildroot branch: st/2021.02.I want to run a certain function on init of the Uboot (board_init function), like the ones used for the DK1 and DK2. My problem is that the function doesn't seem to be called. I have tried to debug the problem and put printf and put commands to get something shown on terminal, but nothing gets printed on terminal. I also tried to put while(1); function, to the board_init function, but the boot just goes on. When using make uboot-rebuild, I can see that the stm32mp1.c is compiled after I have changed it. I also deleted everything on output/images, so that the new images are really made. I also tried to do the same to board_late_init function, but no change. What am I doing wrong? Is the function not really called? If not, why? And if yes, why isn't it even stopping with while(1) endless loop?

Hello,I am using the SBSFU with the KMS on my STM32L486RG. I activated the verbose debug in the config file and this is the output that i am getting when flashing the binary file combining the boot-loader and my user application at the same time :  As you can see the boot-loader fails to verify the the authenticity of the Firmware. How can I debug this problem? If I debug the SBSFU.elf alone from the STM32CubeIDE, the secure boot tells me that there is no firmware in the active slot (obviously) so does not verify it...I am using ECCDSA for the firmware authenticity verification and using this same boot-loader configuration in a another project without any problem. Thanks in advance for the help,Benjamin

Is there any limitation for tag write password length? Because in C demo, its limited the length of password as 4. But our tag is protected with 8 digit password. Would like to know how to handle the 8 digit password?is it only the modification of 'STUHFL_D_PASSWORD_LEN' to make it compatible to 8 bit password? What will be the effect of changing 'STUHFL_D_PASSWORD_LEN' to 8?

Hello, i'm trying to use M4 kernel from A7 kernel worked under linux.I've started with openSTlinux distro and it works well (i can upload firmware to M4 using rproc), but for some reasons i need to make a very small distro (less than 16 mb). For this i'm started to use buildroot build system, which i configured to use linux kernel from https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/linux (i've tried to use 5.10 and 5.4 branches)I'm try to original .config from openstlinux (/proc/config.gz) to build my own kernel and it builds fine. But when system is booting up i've got a regrettable messages:[  1.667275] stm32-rproc 10000000.m4: error -EINVAL: failed to get mcu reset[  1.674148] remoteproc remoteproc0: releasing m4[  1.678863] stm32-rproc: probe of 10000000.m4 failed with error -22Some investigation brought me to file drivers/reset/core.c and function static int of_reset_simple_xlate(struct reset_controller_dev *rcdev,            &nbs

Hello,I'm facing problems while setting up the GPO interrupts from the evaluation board. My application is to write some data using I2C to the tag, and then read it from a reader. TO avoid collisions (writing to EEPROM with I2C when there is NO RF operations in progress) I'm trying to setting up the tag to enable the RF_ACTIVITY interrupt, which, as I understood, should pull the GPO pin to low from the RF command (from reader) SOF to the RF response from the tag EOF, and then return to 1.Now, I'm using a code which:1) present I2C password which per default is set to 64 bit zeroes;2) Write the command to the register using the function from the library3) trying to read the GPO pin with its function, which should return a zero when there's an RF command. I suppose, here, that an RF command means even a read command from the reader. I'm using a X-NUCLEO-NFC03A1 with its demo code and its library, so the reader is always in read mode I think..Here is my code: ST25DV_PASSWD password; //it is

Hello,I'm facing several problems in trying to correctly configure the GPO register and read the GPO pin. My application is to write I2C data to the tag and, to avoid collisions with the reader, use the GPO pin to avoid I2C writes when an RF reading operation is in progress.I was able to set the GPO register to 0x02, which should be the correct value for RF_ACTIVITY interrupt as per datasheet, but anytime I try to read the GPO status pin I get a 1 value which does never change. Can someone please help me?Thank you in advance

Hii try to figure out, if my main stack pointer is correct. When debug my program, after execute startup.s file the value of msp is 0x20008000, but like this i used only half sram, right? This micro have 64KB of sram. I believe that the value of msp would be 0x20010000, on top of the sram. This mcu have sram1 start 0x20000000 end 0x20007FFF, and sram2 start 0x20008000 end 0x2000FFFF.Follow my linker script:/* Highest address of the user mode stack */ _estack = ORIGIN(RAM1) + LENGTH(RAM1); /* end of "SRAM1" Ram type memory */ _Min_Heap_Size = 0x200;     /* required amount of heap */ _Min_Stack_Size = 0x800; /* required amount of stack */ /* Memories definition */ MEMORY {  ROM   (rx)   : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 256K  RAM1  (xrw)  : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 32K   /* Non-backup SRAM1 */  RAM2  (xrw)  : ORIGIN = 0x20008000, LENGTH = 32K  &nb
