I want to generate a PWM at ~76K Hz using the TIMER1 on an STM32F401 microcontroller. To my understanding, because the timer 1 is clocked at 84 MHz, I need to configure the ARR to 1099. See the screenshot to see my detailed configuration.## The problem: I observed a ~14.5 kHz on my logic analyzer.I don't understand where this calling comes from. Do you have any idea? ## Config details Here you can see which bus is connected to timer1Here you can see my clock tree configurationHere you can see my PWM configuration ## Software versionCubeMx 6.4.0

According to the wiki here: Boot from serial NOR, the pins required to boot from a serial NOR flash chip in single mode are PB6, PF8, PF9, PF10. These pins are present on the TFBGA257 package. To boot in dual mode, PH2 and PH3 are required, and these pins are *not* present on the TFBGA257 package. So from this, it seems this package supports serial NOR flash booting in single mode only. However, CubeMX does not let me enable the QUADSPI peripheral for BOOTROM. If I try, it highlights all the choices in red and gives the error message: "Pin not available for boot step (boot ROM)".So, is this a bug in CubeMX, or does this package not support single-chip NOR Flash booting? I'm re-designing a board to use this chip instead of a larger package, and we require serial NOR flash booting. So it'd be good to know before committing to the design.thanksDan

I'm trying to program firmware of more than 1Mb into an STM32L4R5 that has 2Mbyte flash in dual bank. The STM32FlashProgrammer reports a device with 2Mbytes, but during programming only 1Mbyte is reported, and firmware is not transferred.DBANK bit in OPTR register is set, and I couldn't find any help on documentation and websites.Thank you for any suggestions!

Hi everyone. I am trying to use WB55 dongle as ZigBee sniffer. I am program necessary binaries to dongle, install python, pyserial and wireshark. Now I can launch wireshark from cube monitor and connects to the dongle. At first try software asked me about desired ZigBee channel. And I choose one. But now I want to change channel and cant find where I can do this. If I starts capturing in wireshark it don't ask me about channel anymore.

I'm trying to decide what G0 STM32 part to use on a brand new design. One of the requirements is to have six channels of ADC. The datasheet talks about the range of input voltage being Vssa <= Vin <= Vref+. However, on the 32-pin part, there is no Vref+ pin. So how does it work on that part? There's nothing obvious (to me at least) in the datasheet that clarifies this. I'm assuming that Vref+ in this case is Vrefint, but y'know, assumption is the mother of all screw ups. So, is it thew case that if you're using Vrefint, the maximum input voltage to the ADC is Vrefint which is about 1.2V so in the end you only have 0-1.2V as an input range for the ADC? Many thanks.

Hi ST-Members,my problem is that nothing is happening on my target board if i create a projekt out of an existing example or an demo, except a blank white screen. What i have tried:Flash erase and run the Demo-Project STM32Cube_Demo-STM32H745I-DISCO-V1.0.0_FULL.hex with STM32CubeProgrammer on my Targetboard --> it runsCreating a Demo or an Exampleproject on TouchGFX and click on "Generate Code" --> it runsCreating a Demo or an Exampleproject on TouchGFX and click on "Run Simulator" --> sometimes the error of missing "texts.xlsx" appears, i fixed it with a blank file named "texts.xlsx" in the required folder. Now it runsClick on "Run Target" --> i fixed the error "Couldn't reserve space for cygwin's heap, Win32 error 0" with rebase via editbin.exe. Now it runs to the End but the screen on target is still whiteafter uploading the data from TouchGFX i have compared the target flash content with the generated "target.hex" --> it has the same contenti had uploaded the other ge

When creating ADC with DMA the call to MX_Adc_Init() is created before MX_DMA_Init() which in this case means that RCC clocks of DMA are not enabled during MX_ADC_Init(), which is odd. To fix this: Init code should enable RCC_DMA clock in ADC_Init() or ensure correct init-order

Where can I find details of RFAL (for ST25R95) API calls. I've seen they should be in CHM documentation file found in rfal\doc, but I can't find this.

Hi,I'm using stm32mp157a-dk1 and I want to drive a pin with the A7.I add and set (as digital output) the pin PF2 (named "Test") to "Cortex-A7 non secure" in the "Pin Reserved" on the IOC file in the window "Pinout & Configuration" of STM32CubeIDE. Then I generate the code, but the dts file does not change and I cannot find a pin named "Test" in the Device Tree of the A7.How can I add the pin on the dts file, so the A7 can drive it?Moreover, where should I put the dts file to build the linux image with yocto?(For yocto I follow the Distribution Package Tutorial for STM32)Thanks in advance,Andrea

Hi, We are trying to to read and write to a SD card. We are using the STM32F50N8. Find below attached the schematic for the SD card and the GPIO. We have set it up the same we as mentioned here (SD 4 bit wide mode) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9KDN1o6924&ab_channel=STMicroelectronicsHowever, FR returns not ready. Can you please advice us on how to fix this. Many thanks,

I am using STM32L496 discovery board and I want to toggle LD1 which is controlled by MFX_GPIO4 on MFX_v3 chip according to UM2160. I'd like to do this within STM32CubeIDE, but I am not clear how to manage the MFX expansion device properly. Is it possible to generate these MFX setup code in Cube software? Also, is there any details on MFX_v3 registers and functions?

I'm trying to adapt a piece of BLDC control firmware that already works for the STM32F0 family for use with an STSPIN32F0 chip using a STEVAL-SPIN3201 board. But for some weird reason, I am unable to figure out what's going on with the gate driver, and the manual doesn't shed any light on this.According to the manual, the gate driver must first be enabled by asserting F0 or F1 (or both) high. The high side is connected to pins A8,A9,A10 whereas the low side is connected to B13,B14,B15.But as soon as I run this little snippet:void main(void) { RCC_AHBENR = RCC_AHBENR_GPIOFEN; GPIOF_ODR = 0xc0; // F6,F7=11 GPIOF_MODER = 0x00005000; // F6,F7 (push-pull) for (;;) {} }... the HSU, HSV and HSW pins go high, i.e. the high side mosfets become open. There's no way to physically check what's going on on the pins between to MCU and the driver since they are both one chip, but logically they must be floating, and there are also internal pull-downs on all of them. Why is the high side open by d

Hi!I am learning to read the stm32f103c8t6 manual in order to be able to control the MCU without the HAL libraries. It seems that I have set up everything as it should be, but the result seems weird. If I write 0x00 to the SPI DR, I see 0x00 by the analyzer. If I write 0xFF to the DR, I see 0xFF by the analyzer. So far everything looks ok, but as soon as I send a value between these two, analyzer receives a value with all the bits inversed:Sending 0xF0 - receiving 0x0F;Sending 0x0F - receiving 0xF0;Sending 0xAA - receiving 0x55;Sending 0x55 - receiving 0xAA;Which of the control register parameters could lead to such a result?

I uploaded accelerometer application from phone application and it worked well. But after a while it stopped working. It didn't connect anymore to phone application. I thought battery was depleted so I charged it for a while but still no connection. Then I tried to upload a new firmware on it using STM32 JTAG probe but it cannot connect to that either. I'm using STM32CubeProgrammer tool for that and it gives me the error: "Error: No STM32 target found".From what I can see the sensortile is powered on (no led blinking) abd JTAG cable connected ok.What can be wrong ?Thanks.

I'd like to use one of the watchdogs on STM32F407, but I'm surprised the maximum timeout of the WWDG is so short (around 50millisecs, depending on clock speed). This is very restrictive, for example a sector erase takes much longer than this (and is an atomic operation).(I can't use the IWDG as it keeps running during standby, waking us from low power mode). Are there any ways round this?

Hai, I am using ST NUCLEO-H7A3ZI-Q board and I am new it. It worked properly for first one or two times. But now I cant flash code into it, it say "unable to connect to the target". Then I tried STM32CubeProgrammer to connect it and ts connected in 'Power down' mode. Then I performed Full chip erase. After that the board worked properly. But the problem arises again when I reconnected the board and I done the full chip erase again. That is I need to run the full chip erase every time I power the board. How can I resolve the problem?Thank you.Sachin

Another day, another bug....I'm trying to use ADC3 with BDMA on H753. Started from some cube-generated code that assigned BDMA channel 0 to ADC3.Allocated memory in SRAM4. Added interrupt handler for BDMA_Channel0 and ADC3.When I start the ADC3, I hit the default interrupt handler - as if the proper handler is not defined.ICSR = 0x891 this means the active interrupt is 0x91.0x91 - 16 = 129 which is exactly BDMA_Channel0_IRQn.And there's the handler for it. But this handler is not hit. Why??DMA_HandleTypeDef hdma_adc3; ADC_HandleTypeDef hadc3;   void ADC3_IRQHandler(void) { HAL_ADC_IRQHandler(&hadc3); }   void BDMA_Channel0_IRQHandler(void) { HAL_DMA_IRQHandler(&hdma_adc3); }I've checked the listing and the vector table, the vector indeed points to my BDMA_Channel0_IRQHandler. VTOR looks correct (systick works, and the default handler is there as well).Same behavior when the code is in internal flash or AXI RAM. Caches NOT enabled. So how comes that the default handle

If you look into the AN4327 CR95HF transceiver antenna tuning circuit with EMI filter you see:I assume this means 22 pF capacity in parallel with 80 kOhm resistance. But when you open the recommended Excel sheet you see:Until this moment this was supposed to be 1 gOhm. And finally you open the CR95HF Datasheet to check the value and there you see this:Can anyone tell me what's the correct value finally?

Hello! I'm working with a custom STM32WB10CCU board and can't seem to get BLE working. Here are the details:I have no LSE on the board.. just HSE. I'm configuring RFWKP to HSE/1024 and RTC to HSE/32 (I know that LSE is strongly recommended -.. but from what I've read it's not a hard req unless you want to go into certain sleep modes)I'm using STM32WB v1.2 core and have IPCC enabled with the added RTC_WKUP_IRQHandler call that's supposed to be implemented as per every BLE workshop video/slide deckI have a ST-Link V2 and I'm stepping through the code. It's going to my Error handler directly after running the SHCI_C2_BLE_Init because it fails.. Not sure why.I used STM32CubeProgrammer to upload the latest Wireless Stack via FUS and ensured it was abled. When reading FUS info with wireless stack enabled I'm getting version: 4.0.0.cSince I'm running RTC off of HSE, I had to add HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess(); to my HAL_RTC_MspInit call or else RTC init times out and fails. I think this could poss
