Hello,I have a project with custom stm32f769 oard and TouchGFX as GUI. I've done a lot of testing on simpler GUI (showing background and one button).I've also prepared additional task that will do communication with other boards.Everything seems to be working normal. I've chosen same Normal prioritiy also for this additional task. Now I have imported more complex GUI i(approx. 26MB in external flash) nto the project by using TouchGFX Designer (opened existing, imported new one and generated code & recbuilt whole project) and now I get Hard Fault error.Although not experienced debugger, I've single stepped problematic part and it seems that the first non-GUI task is started and then when it switches to another task, hardfault happens. By using HardFault analyzer in my CubeIDE, PC points to this line in code :const uint8_t* GeneratedFont::getPixelData(const GlyphNode* glyph) const { const uint8_t* const* table = (const uint8_t* const*)glyphData; return &(table[glyph->unicode

STM32F746-Disco, Win 10, CubeIDE 1.8.0, CMSIS-only (no HAL), C.I've decided to change the clock of my MCU from HSI 16MHz to full 216MHz with PLL. I've setup the correct values for PLL parameters, but whenever I actually switch system clock to PLL, the thing crashes (and doesn't crash if I don't).It's a full empty project, only register definitions from MCU-specific headers and m7 core. For now it's an empty project that only lights up an LED - if it gets there, that is.I change AHB, APB dividers, all is fine. As long as I'm on HSI, it still works ok. I configure PLL and make sure the values are set - debugger shows all correct values, I triple checked every single bit with pen and paper. Literally.I noticed that HAL activates PWR peripheral during clock setup, which I don't do. Description of PWR peripheral in the reference manual gives no reason to believe it has anything to do with it, but maybe I overlooked something. Here's the interesting part:void rcc_init(void) {   //enable

Hi,I'm using the BlueNRGM2 BLE module in combination with a STM32L4 host controller. They are connected over SPI.The BlueNRGM2 is running the DTM_SPI application from ST to act as network coprozessor. My user application is running on the host controller. For communication with the module I use the X-Cube-BLE2 software package. In section 3.1.1 of the BlueNRG-2 BLE stack v2.x programming guidelines (PM0257) I found the following description: The BlueNRG-1, BlueNRG-2 devices do not have a valid preassigned MAC address, but a unique serial number (read only for the user). The unique serial number is a six byte value stored at address 0x100007F4: it is stored as two words (8 bytes) at address 0x100007F4 and 0x100007F8 with unique serial number padded with 0xAA55.Unfortunately I can't find any ACI command to read out this area of flash. The only command I found in the DoxyGen documentation for the API is the "aci_hal_updater_read_data_blk" but it's only for flash address regions above 0x10020

I have tried the following on my DK2 dev board:Connect VBAT (verify that RTC is working as well)Set rtc alarm (30s into future or so)Power off via long press of "sleep" buttonWait for alarm to wake RTC...I have verified that the RTC is using the LSE clock, and that the RTC is working by powering system off for a bit and seeing that the RTC doesn't lose time. Thanks,Ben Beckwith

I noticed that an5471 says that the uart interface for flashing the bootloader is only available on PA8 and PA9, but those pins aren't present on the 32 pin version. Is there any other way to access the bootloader on this device?

I've adopted the Dynamic Graph widget on my application but when I change the screen from Graph screen to another screen, the data point of the Dynamic Graph widget will free all the data points due to the MVP of TouchGFX will release all resource on the presenter and view objects when changing the screen to another screen. Now, I store the Graph data points in the Model, and when the screen has transited to the Graph screen, I will copy all data points in the Model to Dynamic Graph widget by using addDataPoint() function but the execution time when copying data from Model to the Dynamic Graph widget has consumed too high (I want to avoid this). In practically, how can I make the data points statically or making a pointer to point to static data points when changing the screen?

Hi everyone,I have encounter the following error when booting the stm32mp157f-dk2Starting Load/Save Screen …of backlight:5a000000.dsi.0... [FAILED] Failed to start Load/Save …s of backlight:5a000000.dsi.0. See 'systemctl status systemd-backlight…ht:5a000000.dsi.0.service' for details.the 'systemctl status systemd-backlight@5a000000' give me the following* systemd-backlight@5a000000.service - Load/Save Screen Backlight Brightness of 5a000000   Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/systemd-backlight@.service; static; vendor preset: disabled) Active: inactive (dead) Docs: man:systemd-backlight@.service(8)The screen is able to display the splash image during uboot, so I assume the hardware is OK. When calling a GUI application, it fail and report error as 'Could not initialize egl display'Any ideas?

I'm using STM32H755ZIT6 MCU. And I want to choose SRAM in the FMC memory type option. However, it doesn't show up in the drop-down menu. What am I missing here?

I would like to use the toggle UI element to switch between two paths: probe send and receive, and TCP send and receive. The rest of the pipeline should remain the same.

I want to read the Vdd (link to VDDA) of my board with the ADC in a STM32L072. I try read it through a divider bridge or through VrefInt, and both give me a value far below the voltmeter value.here is my config: hadc.Instance = ADC1; hadc.Init.OversamplingMode = DISABLE; hadc.Init.Oversample.Ratio = ADC_OVERSAMPLING_RATIO_8; hadc.Init.Oversample.RightBitShift = ADC_RIGHTBITSHIFT_NONE; hadc.Init.Oversample.TriggeredMode = ADC_TRIGGEREDMODE_SINGLE_TRIGGER; hadc.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_SYNC_PCLK_DIV1; hadc.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B; hadc.Init.SamplingTime = ADC_SAMPLETIME_160CYCLES_5; hadc.Init.ScanConvMode = ADC_SCAN_DIRECTION_FORWARD; hadc.Init.DataAlign = ADC_DATAALIGN_RIGHT; hadc.Init.ContinuousConvMode = DISABLE; hadc.Init.DiscontinuousConvMode = DISABLE; hadc.Init.ExternalTrigConvEdge = ADC_EXTERNALTRIGCONVEDGE_NONE; hadc.Init.ExternalTrigConv = ADC_SOFTWARE_START; hadc.Init.DMAContinuousRequests = DISABLE; hadc.Init.EOCSelection = ADC_EOC_SINGLE_CO

Hello, I had a problem while transfering one of available Demos for my SensorTile.box (STEVAL-MKSBOX1V1) , probably a battery issue, and data transfer wasn't complete. After it, app find TILEBOX but don't connect. Is there a way to reset it to default ?RegardsRicardo Urio

Hello All....Simple question. I am using the functions(HAL_TIM_Base_Stop_IT and HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT). Basically I set a timer to count to a value and an interrupt occurs. The timer starts on a GPIO edge. I would like the timer to always zero out at the edge first. I have looked at the Start_IT function and cannot find where in this function the counter is first cleared before starting (maybe it is not). I then looked at the manual and cannot identify which bit or for that matter which register I should use to clear the counter of Tim1. Can someone tell me where this bit is? Does it exist in RCC or something?I would like to add I am using the callback void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallbackThanks

We are evaluating the powerSTEP01 with the help of evaluation board. We have configured the current parameters like Acc. Current, Dec. Current, Hold Current and run current for different set of current values step by step (Please refer the attached excel report). Motor consuming the current less than this configured current value. We want to know the relation between the set current and the actual current consumption of motor. Please refer the attached report for 3 different motors.Thank you!

I added analogClock widget but I didnt write code with analogClock widget I didnt actived it. touch part wasnt work. Why didnt touch part work?

I make st-example-image-qt image with openstlinux-5.10on the board, i can't run any qt exampls , when i run a qt app,i get this Could not open egl display Aborted (core dumped)do i miss something

Hi, I know that the ecosystem is already at 3.1.0 or higher, but we started our project in 2019 and working with image based on that release (1.0.0) and don't plan to upgrade.I wanted to send a link to the SDK from your website to our customers, but the link to 1.0.0 doesn't workI am using:https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/embedded-software/mcu-mpu-embedded-software/stm32-embedded-software/stm32-mpu-openstlinux-distribution/stm32mp1dev.html#If I attempt to download any other SDK (1.1.0 for example) it worksOnly the 1.0.0 option is broken

Hi, I tested the board with the UART_TwoBoardPolling but I don't succed to turn the user button 1 into the user button 2. The LED stops blinking but nothing append. With the debugger, it is going somewhere but i don't see where... maybe hardfault ?

How to implement “printf? for send message via USB on STM32 in CubeIDE? I have NUCLEO-F207ZG.

I have a STM32F429 Discovery board and I want to add ethernet for project. I am using external ethernet PHY named KSZ8863. Is it possible tocommunicate with using this PHY ? if it is possible should you share an example code for it?

I working with a custom board with MCU STM32F105RB, When I debug using ST CUBEIDE, I get following "No source available for "uwTickPrio() at 0x20000004"  "

Apnote "Achieving 32-bit timer resolution with software expansion" (AN2592) mentions that it is possibleto create 32bit input capture with only one 16bit timer. Combine interrupt from update event to count timer overflows and regular 16bit input capture to 32bit value.Appnote does not deal with race condition between read out capture value and update event. In case that capture event takes place few cycles before or after update event, program detects that both flags are raised and must find out what happened first.I recommend add procedure how to manage mentioned race condition because suggested solution is useless without it. Section 3.2 Interrupt processing sounds wrong. Says that if both IRQs (Capture and update event) are called simultaneously then program should always service update event first. That leads to wrong results in cases when capture takes place short time before update event...

Hi, I have a custom board with STM32H7A3 using FMC, LLTC and other modules. I started to develop the firmware to change some images in a display. I made one project on TouchGFX with multiple images and fonts. I verify the BitmapDatabase.cpp and the all images files generated. For each image file generated for example:LOCATION_PRAGMA("ExtFlashSection") KEEP extern const unsigned char image_attention_all[] LOCATION_ATTRIBUTE("ExtFlashSection") = { // 223x265 RGB888 pixels. 0x0b, 0xba, 0xf7, 0x0b, 0xba, 0xf7, 0x0b, 0xba, 0xf7, 0x0b, 0xba, 0xf7, ... ...}In my application.ld file I put that configurations that I view on https://support.touchgfx.com/4.18/docs/development/scenarios/using-non-memory-mapped-flash /* Specify the memory areas */ MEMORY { DTCMRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x20000000, LENGTH = 128K RAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x24000000, LENGTH = 1024K ITCMRAM (xrw) : ORIGIN = 0x00000000, LENGTH = 64K FLASH1 (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8000000, LENGTH = 512K FLASH2 (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x8100000, LENGTH = 512K
