I have a Nucleo-32 STM32G031K8. STMCubeIDE was installed around March 1. I have been trying to debug and getting slave code working to respond to HAL_I2C_Mem_Read_DMA() and HAL_I2C_Mem_Write_DMA() commands from another STM32G032K8. When I looked at the U2319 (Rev 2 October 2020) documentation it says that the HAL_I2C_Mem_Read_DMA() had a timeout variable, but the documentation did not specify what units the timeout was. I am guessing milliseconds like the tick counter. So I searched for the code, and discovered my code in the HAL file stm32g0xx.hal_i2c.c did NOT have a timeout variable. So I went to the internet and grabbed another UM2319 from a Google search, and it was different, and the HAL_I2C_Mem_Read_DMA() did not have a timeout variable. I looked at the Rev and it was Rev 1 October 2018. So either the documentation is wrong or somehow I have an old version of the HAL on my computer. I looked on the ST website and there is a Patch to 1.4.1 and and 1.5.0. First I do not know what

Good day everyone.Trying to make SAI work in TDM mode with DMA on STM32F746.Need to transmit 8 stereo channels, the sample is 16-bit long. I have several arrays of data and one or two arrays have to stay inside the TCM part while others can be wherever there is space. I don't want to have fixed memory location but I want to influence the order in which compiler (or linker) allocates them in memory. My current code flips between terrible and superbe performance for the simple reason on where in the code I make changes and how the arrays are then moved in memory.I want some control back.

ContextI'm working on building an LED Cube for no other reason but my own self learning. My intention is to use 12 LED1642W to support a 8x8 grid of 3 channel RGB LEDs, with a 13th LED1642W to multiplex the cube's layers. As a minimum viable model, I've built the following:The working principle is that the LED is of a common Anode type, with the three channels sourcing to the driving LED1642GW. The "MUX" LED1642GW, powers the anode via a PNP transistor. All communications and configuration of the chips seem to be working as expected. The ProblemI can configure and illuminate the LED to a colour and brightness of my choosing, however it only stays lit for 4 to 5 seconds before going out. Some time will pass, and it will reillumination. After initial configuration, no communication is made to chip and nothing physically is changed. What I've checkedIlluminated or otherwise the MUX chip seems to be functioning. The common anode has voltage. With or without the LED is place the channels "clo

I have an STM32F429 Discovery kit. I would like to go though a MOOC or STM32 Online training mentioned @ https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/support/learning/stm32-education.html. However, I don't see any for that board. Are any of the posted resources appropriate for my board? Browsing them I think so, but I want to avoid frustration of spending time and then realizing I'm learning for the wrong board.

The RTC looses 15 min every 8 hour aprox when the main power is on. I have selected the LSE as the RTC clock, as i show in the images, and i have a 32.768 Khz 10 ppm crystal with a 9 pF load. I thought that maybe it was due to a bad match of the crystal capacitors but the RTC works fine when the main power is off! I really dont know what is going on... Thanks in advance.

I'm using some extremely efficient 603 size Leds that are very bright even at 70 microamps current. Can I use the LCD Driver (eg. of the STM32L476, 8x40 driver ) to drive a modest 8x12 or 8x16 Led display? (I have created a little dot matrix display by DMA'ing directly to a GPIO port, but 16 bits restricts display size to 8x8, 6x10 etc.),thanks.

Hi.I am using a STM32F469I-DISCO and I am trying to read/write on a SD card. Here's what I did on cubeMX:SDIO -> SD 4 bits Wide Bus -> enable SDIO global interrupt -> add SDIO_RX and SDIO_TX as DMA settings -> GPIO settings set all pins except SDIO_CK to Pull_upFATFS -> check SD card -> advanced settings: USE DMA TEMPLATE -> Platform Settings: set PG2 (uSD Detect)Clock config: set clock to SDIO as 20 MHz It is working. But as soon as I added freeRTOS (CMSIS_V2), increased minimum heap and stack size, f_open now returns FR_NOT_READY.( first I mount with b = f_mount(&SDFatFS, (TCHAR const*)SDPath, 0);Is this a known issu and how to solve it?Thanks,Clément

When driving these two sensors with nordic's bluetooth chip, I want to obtain the relevant attitude angle through the motionfx library, but the program has been stuck in the initialization of motionfx. If the MadgwickAHRSupdate algorithm is used, the yaw angle drifts too much, I can't solve these problems at present, any good suggestions?

I'm using https://github.com/elmot/nrf24l01-lib library for communication. For now I' able to send strings like "helloworld" and process them.

I'm able to change the register value eg. CCR register for duty cycle but first i have to suspend the program and then change the value and then resume it again. Whenever i try to change the value while the code is running it throws me an interrupt error.

I'm testing the VL53L5CX and finding that the behavior of the LPn pin differs from what is described in the datasheet. The datasheet says "Drive this pin to logic 0 to disable the I2C comms when the device is in LP mode. Drive this pin to logic 1 to enable I2C comms in LP mode." Also, section 2.2 (Power state machine) says that the device starts up in the HP idle state and I2C communication is disabled if LPn is used in LP idle state. However, I'm finding that the LPn pin only seems to have an effect in (what I think is) the HP idle state. Here is part of the code I'm using to test (along with the ULD): status = vl53l5cx_set_power_mode(&Dev, VL53L5CX_POWER_MODE_SLEEP); if(status) { printf("vl53l5cx_set_power_mode failed, status %u\n", status); return status; } printf("VL53L5CX is now sleeping\n");   while (1) { status = vl53l5cx_is_alive(&Dev, &isAlive); if(!isAlive || status) { printf("VL53L5CX not detected at requested address\n"); printf("status: %u\n",

I have function to receive Dev EUI, APP Key, and NWK Key data from UART. Then, I want to put and replace of Dev EUI, APP Key, and NWK Key in se-identity.h with my own data which I have saved in flash memory. But, an error occurs when only include my own file header in se-identity.h after compiling, It also happens to when only include main.h. How can I include my own header file in se-identity.h without error ? Or maybe there is another way to change Dev EUI, APP Key, and NWK Key without hardcode in se-identity or FUOTA ?Any assistance would be greatly appreciatedError occurred:

Hi!ST manual PM0253:[31:9] TBLOFF Vector table base offset field. It contains bits [29:7] of the offset of the table base from the bottom of the memory map.[8:0] - ReservedArm v7-M Architecture Reference Manual:Bits[31:7] of the vector table address.Older documentation describes this field as the vector table address offset. The descriptionin this manual clarifies the use of this register.Bits[6:0] - ReservedIs there wrong assignment description in PM0253?

SPC58EC has one Interrupt Controller which supports two processors. You can give different vector tables for each core. Let's say two cores are active and one external interrupt (ADC, Timer) happened, what will be the process after this? Which core will run the interrupt handler? Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone,I'm trying to convert our IoT Sigfox sensor from EFM32 to STM32 architecture. As a beguinner on STM32, I'm using an LSM100A eval board based on STM32WLE5CC.Can anybody explain me how to create a simple Sigfox project ? I just want to send a simple Sigfox message.I try to start from the PushButton skeleton available on project configuration but there is alway something missing in the generated source code. First build give errors like these :../Core/Src/timer_if.c:337:51: error: 'RTC_N_PREDIV_S' undeclared (first use in this function); did you mean 'RTC_PRER_PREDIV_S'?../Core/Src/timer_if.c:415:30: error: 'RTC_PREDIV_S' undeclared (first use in this function); did you mean 'RCC_PLLDIV_3'?Any help would be greatly appreciated !Thanks,Johann

The STM32F401xD has 384Kbytes FLASH and the STM32F401xE has 512Kbytes FLASH.Is there a mistake in the reference manual?3.3 Embedded Flash memory in STM32F401xB/C and STM32F401xD/EAccording to the manual STM32F401xD/E have the same number of sectors. I would expect that only STM32F401xE has an additional sector 7.

Hi all,In STM32H7A3 reference manual section 27.4.33 internal temperature sensor equation Temperature in °C = TS_CAL2_TEMP - TS_CAL1_TEMP / TS_CAL2 - TS_CAL1*( TS_DATA - TS_CAL1) + TS_CAL1in Last TS_CAL1 i have doubt because all other H7 family like (STM32H742,STM32H745) datasheet show like below equation Temperature in °C = 110 °C 30 °C / TS_CAL2 -TS_CAL1 * ( TS_DATA TS_CAL1) + 30 °C.so when i put TS_CAL1 then it give output higher value because in TS_CAL1 = 12344 value so overall output value is 12389 °C something.but when i put +30 °C at the last then its give reasonable temperature value (30 to 35°C)so i need to confirm is that any written mistake in datasheet or i doing wrong anything please help me. Any help is very much appreciated! thank you.

Hello, i would like to integrate st25dv04k nfc dynamic tag to my pcb design, my question is: could i use it without any configuration or initialization? As I'm planning to not connect it to a i2c device. If yes, should i connect the harvesting power pin to VCC?The component datasheet:https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/st25dv04k.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwjf6dmlv-P2AhXQ-KQKHbHmAIwQFnoECAQQAQ&usg=AOvVaw1VPzvL4lIjIgv1-XrpOp-J

Hi,so a few months ago I wrote a program to read values from LIS3DSH sensor. It was working good until last week Z axis stopped working, and this week Y axis also. It always sends back 0x8080 values, while X axis is still working great. I have a custom PCB board with STM32F407VG and LIS3DSH (and more :) ) and this problem only occures on this board - when I put the same program to STM32F407VG - DISC board it works great, thats why I don't think there is a problem with my program or my SPI configuration. So, I decided to change LIS3DSH to a new one (I can do that because it's changeable on my board). The problem is that new LIS always responds 0xFF to whatever I send to him. To be fair with you, I don't remember now if I had to anything special at the first start up of the old LIS3DSH, but the one doesnt wont to work with the same program that DISC works.Does anyone had this kind of problem? Or maybe, there is a special config to put at the first start up (but I cant find it)?Thank you
