Since ~2 hours I get thousands of mails from notification@communitymailer.st.com mainly with STM8 stuff from the last years. What's going wrong here? Is it only me? I never was interested in STM8, just STM32...(I unsubscribed from "others: hardware and software" to survive the day.) P.S.: they all have the same init line like this:Hi mfgkw, Lina_DABASINSKAITE (Community manager) moved a topic in Others: hardware and software on 2020-09-08 8:15 AM: Where can I get the stm8s discovery dev.zip file? I would like to download the application code that is advertised with the eval/demo board but can't find it anywhere on ST.com. Thanks. They all seem to start with "Lina_DABASINSKAITE (Community manager) moved a topic in Others: hardware and software on " ...

I would like to use MDMA on Cortex M4 to move data from DDR to SRAM in order to overcome the SRAM size limitation, especially in Ecosystem 6 secure context when a SYSRAM bank is dedicated to OPTEE.My idea is to move to DDR some data structures used by code running on Cortex M4 and, when needed by the code, to use MDMA to move such data from DDR to SRAM and then to unload such same structures from SRAM to DDR.I found that MDMA is the preferred way to move data DDR <-> SRAM, but it isn't supported by STM32 MCUs Embedded Software.https://wiki.stmicroelectronics.cn/stm32mpu/wiki/MDMA_internal_peripheral#Software_frameworks_and_driversDo you have any suggestion about how to proceed ?

I am working with the Teseo-LIV3F GNSS module, I would need to know whether the velocity field it produces, which is a module, is calculated over the x and y dimensions only or x,y and z Thanks for your help

Hello everyone, this is my first time using an ST microcontroller. Specifically, I am using the MB1389E (NUCLEO-WL55JC1) development board. It has been a bit confusing because most of the tutorials have an old version of STM32CubeIDE where everything was there, but now it seems that many tools must be downloaded separately, such as STM32CubeMX. After solving that, I've managed to get it to perform the most basic functions, such as turning LEDs on and off. However, due to project requirements, I now have to take a big leap and make a connection through the Sigfox network. To do this, I've tried using the Sigfox_AT_Slave example from the STM32CubeWL package, which indicates that by entering “AT” in the terminal will print the ID and PAC of the card to register it in Sigfox, but I have not been successful in that part since even when the code loads without errors, it does not show me anything in the terminal, which in this case I use PuTTY, and I have configured the frequencies of 9600 an

With Apple planning to deprecate Rosetta 2 after macOS Tahoe, I’d like to ask about the future of ST tools on macOS. As far as I understand, some of the current tools still rely on Rosetta, so this could become a problem for Apple Silicon users going forward. Are there any plans to provide native ARM versions of the ST tools? And for long-term use, would you recommend staying with the current `stlink-server`, or is it safer to start migrating to OpenOCD to avoid being blocked once Rosetta support is gone? Thanks!

Hello STM Support Team, I am currently using the ADC1283 to acquire analog data with the PIC32MZ2048EFH100 microcontroller via SPI. I have verified that the MCU’s SPI module works correctly when tested independently. However, when interfacing with the ADC1283, the device is not returning valid conversion data and consistently responds with 0xFF. At this point, I am unsure whether the issue is hardware-related or software-related. I am sharing the following for your review: Firmware source files (.C and .H) (I referred one of your example firmware for ADC1283 from any online portal and created logic).  SPI configuration details Schematic diagram logic analyzer waveform. Could you please review them and help identify the root cause of the issue? Our project is currently in the testing phase, so resolving this issue is quite urgent. Your prompt support would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Best regards,Tushar

I am currently using the STM32F446ZET6 chip, which comes with 16MB of off-chip SDRAM. I have been trying to run the program in the SDRAM, but have not been successful. I would appreciate any help.

Dear ST team,I am planning to use STM32H753ZIT6 in my design and also planning to use NUCLEO 144 H7 LEGACY for development activities. Could anyone help me whether I can use the NUCLEO 144 H7 LEGACY board to program the STM MCU which is going to assemble in my board? If possible please let me know how to isolate the on board MCU which is present in the NUCLEO 144 H7 LEGACY board.RegardsShyam

Hello..     i am encountering this issue very frequently, the build analyzer unable to update after modified code and build, run.  i have click the 2-round arrow on the top right menu, and click "on request "on view build setting. Yet still unable to update build analyzer. Anyone can advise?   https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubeide-mcus/build-analyzer-does-not-work-after-stm32cubeide-update/m-p/652218

Hi I am using the STM32N6570-DK board for AI application development and want to flash the code from the 'https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32N6-GettingStarted-ImageClassification' repository. However, when I flash the .elf file from the debug folder, I get an invalid output. Do I need to flash the FSBL and model hex separately? Is there a specific flashing sequence I should follow? Currently, both BOOT0 and BOOT1 are set to 0, and I suspect the AI model is missing from the flash memory.Best RegardsRam

Basically continuation of https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubeprogrammer-mcus/stm32cubeprogrammer-upload-fail-after-update-to-2-20/td-p/825113 - after fixing the hex to correctly span both the banks, upload error (using ST-Link) still persists. Firmware can be uploaded using USB bootloader, just the ST-LINK upload fails. It seems that this is a bug of the STM32CubeProgrammer.STM32CubeProgrammer v2.20.0.I attach the firmware hex. I also attach log from the programmer.@PKola.1 @STOne-32 @Maryem

Hello,I've got a question about pairing and bonding for BLE with iOS devices for ST67W61.I've checked available functions and AT commands, I don't see any mean to encrypt the characteristic. As the iOS BLE stack requires it to pair and bond - am I missing something or it's not yet implemented?Best regards

Dear ST Community, I hope you are doing well. I am currently working with the STM32U5 development board and would like to integrate an SD card module using SPI communication. However, while configuring my project in STM32CubeMX / CubeIDE, I was unable to find the FATFS middleware option under the middleware section. My goal is to use FATFS with an SD card operating in SPI mode. Could you please guide me on how to enable or integrate FATFS for SPI-based SD card communication on the STM32U5 series? If manual integration is required, I would appreciate any official documentation, example projects, or recommended procedures.

Hello,I am trying to find the project used to create the code loaded on my Nucleo-H563ZI when I first received it.I see several references stating it should be in a Demonstration folder, however I don't see that folder in:...\STM32Cube_FW_H5_V1.6.0\Projects\NUCLEO-H563ZIThat folder has the following folders:ApplicationsExamplesExamples_LLExamples_MIXROT_ProvisioningTemplatesTemplates_LL

I bought an ST-link V2 from amazon, this error occured, fearing it may be counterfeit, I then bought another St-link v2 from STM website itself so there is no way it is fake, but the same error still occured. I am on Mac M3 using Cubeprogrammer. There is utterly no documentation on this error. What do i do.

Hi, I have recently upodated STM32CubeIDE and have found that starting a new project doesn't generate a *.ioc file. I found a forum thread dated 7/2025 to a similar issue in versions 1.17-1.19 but the suggested work around menu options don't appear to be in v2.1.0. Any ideas? this is really annoying as I've got a 'journey to complet'e but I'm wasting my time getting the 'car to start'....

Hi!I am experiencing some confusing behaviour on an STM32H743 series chip:I am running an injected ADC channel on ADC2, with trigger from the HRTIM. The HRTIM is triggering at 8000 Hz (200 MHz clock, prescaler div-2 and period = 12500). The ADC generates an interrupt at injected end-of-conversion, with 64.5 cycles per sample in 16-bit mode. The ADC clock is running at 80 MHz, with prescaler div-4, i.e. 20 MHz.  When setting an oversampling ratio such that the conversion time becomes longer than the time between the trigger pulses, I always get half the expected frequency for the generated interrupts. For example, with oversampling ratio 64, I can calculate the conversion time as:t_conv = (64.5 + 8.5) * (1 / (20*1e6)) * 64 = 0.2336 mswhere the 8.5 extra cycles come from the fact that we are in 16-bit mode as per documentation. From this, the ratio between the conversion time and the time between two consecutive trigger pulses is about 2, i.e. for each conversion

I have a STM32H732 processor connected to a ethernet switch with port based VLAN support.I use the processor to connect to two different interfaces which are separated in the switch.I wanted to be able to access the same two TCP ports in the processor from both interfaces. So I configured ETH_L3_FILTER_0 and ETH_L3_FILTER_1 with the two different IP-addresses used on the two interfacesAnd the ETH_L4_FILTER_0 and ETH_L4_FILTER_1 with the two different ports. But that did not work as I hoped. It looks like the L3_FILTER_0 and L4_FILTER_0 are used as one filter. and FILTER_1 as another. And maybe that is as intented but it is not super clear in the documentation.I may have to add that I have found and read...Is this correct or is there perhaps a way to use the L3 and L4 as separate filters so that I can get four different filters allowing two IPs and two Ports in any combination of ports and IP?Best regards

Hi ST support team,     I'm using STVD version 4.3.12,  no matter create an empty project or open the existing project.  The MCU selection in Project Setting always empty.  But the same STVD installation package works in some other computers.     My computer is 64-bit x64-based processor, running Windows 11 Enterprise Version 24H2.     I tried re-register dao360.dll in administrator CMD, there was a period when it could be resolved, but I'm not sure if it was due to Windows updates or some other reason. Now it's not working anymore. CMD command:Regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\DAO360.DLL"Regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\DAO360.DLL"

We are currently using the PM8805 in our PD (Powered Device) design. We have recently encountered field failures and suspect that the root cause lies in the customer's testing process. Our customer was using a Passive DC Injector (55V DC Supply) instead of a standard IEEE 802.3at/bt compliant PSE. During their inspection, they perform "Hot-plugging" of the 55V DC source directly into the RJ45 port.I’m assuming the PM8805 has to 'work through' the Active Bridge’s body diodes during the initial handshake (Detection/Class). Since the MOSFETs aren't active yet, all that signaling current must be passing through the parasitic diodes, correct? My concern is that when using a 55V direct injector, a massive amount of inrush current is forced through these body diodes before the voltage even reaches the UVLO threshold. Doesn't this put a lethal amount of stress on the bridge before the PM8805 can even start its control sequence? We performed a failure analysis on the damaged products and found the

Good morning!I've been working in a project whose purpose is communicate AEK-MCU-C1MLIT1 board and AEK-COM-ISOSPI1 through SPI/isoSPI protocols. At first, I've tried to apply the hardware configurations and script as mentioned in the user manual(UM3187) to exchange 512 bytes between two devices through isoSPI, however I don’t know how reliable the results in debug step are to assure this communication is working properly. Another detail that I've noticed is about disable pin, which stay always turned on, mainly when I select configuration as “micro” in  AEK-COM-ISOSPI1 Component RLA > Application Cofiguration. What should I do to enable AEK-COM-ISOSPI1 board?About the wire connections, I used as reference the board view within AutoDevKit Studio. I’d like to know if there is some connection that is missing, especially about the ISOm e ISOp signals, because the board view doesn’t show if I should to connect the USB port on the computer to debug step, for instance.

We have followed single conversion mode as outlined in: L9966 lambda sensor interface – rev. 1.0.0 1 L9966 lambda sensor interface Application Note. But the result register is all zeros. Is there anything missing? The register nameing is not consistant datasheet has DWT_VOLT_SRC_LSF_CTRL, but app note DWT_VOLT_SRC_CTRL.The sequencer mode works fine.
