I am trying to configure a DMA stream to capture the RX channel of a UART core on the m4, however, I get very undesirable behaviour.I am trying to set up a circular rx buffer that is of size 10 since the data coming back is of multiples of 5. Unfortunately, I don't get the trigger at half full for many seconds, and when I finally deinit the uart and DMA and abort any tx or rx the half transfer complete callback finally comes.If I change the dma receive size to 8 I get the trigger at half full (4), so is there a limitation or alignment problem?static void MX_USART3_UART_Init(void) {   /* USER CODE BEGIN USART3_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE END USART3_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE BEGIN USART3_Init 1 */   /* USER CODE END USART3_Init 1 */ huart3.Instance = USART3; huart3.Init.BaudRate = 2500000; huart3.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_9B; huart3.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; huart3.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; huart3.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; huart3.Init.Hw

Hi. I'm developing with custom board which has a custom QSPI (EN25QX128A - 16Mbytes flash), so I need to make an external loader used by STM32CubeProgrammer.First I wrote a code that interacts with QSPI and it works fine.So I changed this code to fullfill the external loader specification.Init() as an entry pointLinker configuration No diagnostics on unused functionsBut when I connect the target board by clicking "Connect" in STM32CubeProgrammer, I checked that "Init()" is called but SystemClock_Cofnig() fails.I tried to change clock-setting in various ways, but still get stuck in Error_Handler.What am I missing working with External loader?Please help me to get out of this trap.Thanks.

I've changed the ownership of the /usr/lib/python3.8 file from root to <myname> but did not solved the problem. I am trying to implement an USB logger. I have initially started with the F769 Discovery Board what worked fine using the USB_HS implementation. Because my final hardware does use USB_FS and I do not own an F769 Eval Board I tried the FatFs_USBDisk example for the 767 Nucleo board what sows the behavior above.The Nucleoboard is unmodified, SB 125, 127, 132, 133, !184, 185 set as stated in UM1974. UsbStick and MicroAdapter Tested in HS Example. Example is based on V1.17.0

The STM32F3DISCOVERY board's main perk are the MEMS gyro and MEMS accelerometer/magnetometer combo.In different revisions of the board, these chips were changed (whatever was the reason). This of course has impact on working of software, including examples.However, while UM1570 rev. 6 mentions, in chapters ST MEMS E-compass (ST MEMS LSM303DLHC or LSM303AGR) and ST MEMS Gyroscope (ST MEMS L3GD20 or I3G4250D), that these are different parts, it fails to explain, how to identify, on which revision of the board is which part combination. Chapter 7.2 Board revision history fails to mention these changes entirely.ST, please take documentation seriously.JW

I am following this Controlerstech tutorial , learning how to FREERTOS+SD card.I found out some functions that work fine outside any os task , throw a Hardfault when executerd inside any FREERTOS task.....Functions that seem to be working from him.I feel like these functions are trying to access a forbidden area of memory.... but i dont know why is it forbidden, are there any memory boundaries we should respect when working inside tasks?I am new with FREERTOS and their QA didnt helped me yet. This felow had the same issue but using an esp32similar issue here in the commiunity https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000MA9VRSA1/free-rtos-sdcard-sdio-fatfs-fopen-problem

What I'd like to ask on this community forum is, has anyone faced any issue integrating the STL library? An FAE is engaged on this issue, with no response as of yet. We have good overall success, with the exception of the TM12 module, which fails occasionally. The occasional nature of the failure makes it difficult to troubleshoot.Note, the safety self-test library is an ST-provided library. We run it on the H7. Failures still occur in spite of following the guidelines in the STL integration guide UM2601.

Hello,I have updated CubeProgrammer to its latest revision (2.11.0) and it finally displays the bootloader version in the target information box (with a Nucleo-G070RB).However it keeps reading the bootloader revision every 1 second, as shown by the log below: 10:41:44:080 : ST-LINK SN : 0671FF505048878667122244 10:41:44:081 : ST-LINK FW : V2J39M27 10:41:44:082 : Board : NUCLEO-G070RB 10:41:44:083 : Voltage : 3.22V 10:41:44:089 : SWD freq : 4000 KHz 10:41:44:090 : Connect mode: Under Reset 10:41:44:090 : Reset mode : Hardware reset 10:41:44:097 : Device ID : 0x460 10:41:44:098 : Revision ID : Rev B 10:41:44:105 : Reading data... 10:41:44:111 : r ap 0 @0x1FFF77DD 0x00000004 bytes Data 0xFFFFFFFF 10:41:44:111 : Database: Config 0 is active. 10:41:44:111 : flash loader C:\Program Files\STMicroelectronics\STM32Cube\STM32CubeProgrammer\bin/FlashLoader/0x460.stldr is loaded 10:41:44:111 : halt ap 0 10:41:44:112 : r ap 0 @0x4002103C 0x00000004 bytes Data 0x00000000 10:41:44:112

Hello,Where I can find reference design of ST25R3916 discovery board?Thank you.

A new version of STM32CubeMonitor-RF has been released to fix some issues related to BLE OTA feature.The points covered by this release are :115533 and 117927 : During the OTA update, issue in the ACI_GAP_START_GENERAL_DISCOVERY_PROC command, change address type to public device address115760: During the OTA update, when Optimize MTU size box is checked, download is stopped after the exchange of MTU size. Set the OTA block size according to MTU size exchanged to increase speed. (need firmware 1.13.0)Download it on https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/stm32cubemonrf.html

Hi all,I haven't worked with ETRs earlier. I am currently working with stm32G491, I want to use TIM3_CHx, as an input capture. due to design problems, I am not available to use those pins. but I can use the TIM3_ETR pin. so is it possible to remap to one of TIM3_CHx and use it as normal input captureThank you

Using hexdump /dev/input/event1, you can see the data changes. when I use ts_ test command, "open fbdevice: no such file or directory" will appear. Please help me, I really don't know how to configure it.I am sure that the touch screen monitoring is correct and the data is uploaded correctly.

Hello - i'm new to STM32 MCU's (mostly have been using 8bit AVR's or OS based Raspberry Pi). I've been trying to implement a 6-step motor control (making everything from scratch as a learning experience). I picked TIM4 and TIM8 in a master-slave configuration, using complementary outputs of channel 1, 2 & 3 in TIM8. Everything is set so that PWM preloaded registers update happens in a commutation even, which is the TRGO of TIM4.void motor6Step_Init(TIM_HandleTypeDef* htim4, TIM_HandleTypeDef* htim8){ htim4->Instance->CCR1 = (TIM4_ARR>>2);   htim8->Instance->CCR1 = 0; htim8->Instance->CCR2 = 0; htim8->Instance->CCR3 = 0; htim8->Instance->CR1 &= ~( TIM_CR1_CEN ); htim8->Instance->CNT = 0; __HAL_TIM_ENABLE_IT(htim8, TIM_IT_UPDATE); HAL_TIMEx_ConfigCommutEvent_IT(htim8, TIM_TS_ITR2, TIM_COMMUTATION_TRGI); }   void motor6Step_Start(TIM_HandleTypeDef* htim4, TIM_HandleTypeDef* htim8){ HAL_TIM_Base_Start(htim8); HAL_TIM_OC_

Hello, I have installed previous version of Atollic (< 9.3) before following the official installation guide, but now it seems to be outdated since the downloadable file isn't a .tar.gz file anymore, but now just a .gz file. I am using EndeavourOS Linux x86_64. I have tried doing gzip -d en.TrueSTUDIO_V9.3_lin.gz, but then I don't know what to do with the extracted file. I mean, it extracts a en.TrueSTUDIO_V9.3 file which I tried to make executable with chmod +x, but nothing happens. If I open the directory with thunar, I can see the previous file as a compressed file which stills has another file inside. Nonetheless, I cannot decompress said file.I would appreciate any assistance.Thank you in advance.
