I'm working on making a custom PCB using an STM32L5xx board field-updatable. To that end, I've configured the option bits according to pattern 12 from AN2606:TZEN = 0, nBoot0(bit) = 0, nSWBoot0(bit) = 0, NSBOOTADD1[24:0] = 0x017F200.With this setup, the microcontroller will always start and reset to bootloader mode, which I do think is a good thing for now. It should help protect against the a problem in application mode bricking the microcontroller and needing to use a debugger to fix it.I've been using the NUCLEO-144 L552ZET6Q to test/debug this method. When the uC is in bootloader mode, the red and blue user LEDs turn on, and switching back to application mode will turn them off.To switch to application mode, I've tried to use CubeProgammer CLI to start the application mode, which it does seem to do, only for it to be forced back into bootloader mode.If I try to run this via USB DFU, it looks like it has the same effect, with the difference of there being an error in the DFU (likely

It's no secret that there is a worldwide shortage of STM32 MCUs and distributors are not even trying to estimate availability.How is STmicro addressing this?

Hi,We have selected Firmware Package STM32Cube FW_H7 V1.9.0 from CubeMX. However, the HAL Driver source file has following line:/** * @brief STM32H7xx HAL Driver version number V1.10.0 */Are the Firmware Package and HAL Driver versions different things? Are we using HAL version 1.9.0 or 1.10.0?

This has happened multiple time where when I try to delete a Text object while in the Search Results screen of TouchGFX Designer an error occurs. It does seem to delete the entry but gives an error. Attached is the error popup that occurs. Here is the Log file entry...   2022-10-05 10:23:21,060 [1] ERROR TouchGFXDesigner.App: Sequence contains no matching element System.InvalidOperationException: Sequence contains no matching element at System.Linq.ThrowHelper.ThrowNoMatchException() at TouchGFXDesigner.Main.Project.Texts.TextTab.TextTree.TextTreeViewModel.TextSelection_SelectedTextsChanged(Object sender, NotifyCollectionChangedEventArgs e) at TouchGFXDesigner.Main.Project.Texts.TextTab.TextSelection.RemoveTextFromSelected(Text text) at TouchGFXDesigner.Main.Project.Texts.TextTab.TextGrid.TextRowViewModel.set_IsItemSelected(Boolean value) at TouchGFXDesigner.Styles.Behaviors.TextDataGridBehavior.SelectItem(ItemContainerGenerator root, Object item, Boolean isCtrlDown)

I'm wondering why I can't configure 72MHz clock in the Clock configuration panel in CubeIDEfor the STM32F103C8T6 (blue pill) board.From my understanding it has an 8 MHz quartz connected to pins 5,6 and choosing these pins as RCC OSC_IN/OUT doesn't seem to allow me to choose the external HSE clock and switch to PLL internally.

We need to order 2 samples of the NUCLEO-F401RE to evaluate the MCU and be used in a health tech project. How I can order the samples?

We are thinking of using few features from x-cube-mems1 package and would like to know if it can be used for nRF9160 MCU.

Hello! We have this chip, see in image. We think this is ST33Gххх in package UFDFN8 4.2 × 4 mm.This is from NFC interface. The main question is that what is this chip model?And the second question is, i dont found pins names in ST33G documentation.

Hi, I am trying to understand the startup process of stm32 mcu. So I have a good knowledge with STM32 and HAL but I want to learn a little deeper with the registers.So I created a blank project and included only the peripheral header file (stm32wb55xx.h), (system_stm32wbxx.c), the startup script (startup_stm32wb55xx_cm4.s) and main.c where I implemented a blinky and it is working. Where I set the RCC->AHB2ENR(enable clock) register, but I m not sure it's frequency and the frequency's from SYSCLK, HCLK,AHB,APB1...As far as i understand the startup script is calling the SystemInit() function from system_stm32wbxx.c where the clocks are set to default values and after that the main function is called, where the clock configuration can be changed?Please correct me if I m wrong! And if someone have some links or documentation for properly setting the clocks.Thanks

I ran GENERATE-CODE on STM32CubeMX and M4 files were created. There is #include "stm32mp1xx.h" in stm32mp1xx_hal_def.h in Include, but there is no stm32mp1xx.h file. where is it?

Hello. I have a project that runs fine on F303RE Nucleo board. I loaded it on the F303ZE Nucleo board and I get no banner displayed on the Virtual Comm port. The device manager sees the port fine. Are there any solder bridges or jumpers needed on the ZE board to enable the VCP?Thanks,Dave

Hello,I am using the STM32H7B3I-EVAL evaluation board with a code generated by TouchGFX 4.20.0. My goal is as follows:Using a button (in this case, the Wakeup button on the evaluation board), change a PWM's duty cycle in stages (0% -> 25% -> 50% -> 75% -> 100% -> 0% -> .....)Display the current PWM duty cycle as a percentage on the displayTo do this, I am using a timer (TIM2) set to PWM Generation CH1. The code below is how I initialize this timer.static void MX_TIM2_Init(void) {   /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM2_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE END TIM2_Init 0 */   TIM_MasterConfigTypeDef sMasterConfig = {0}; TIM_OC_InitTypeDef sConfigOC = {0};   /* USER CODE BEGIN TIM2_Init 1 */   /* USER CODE END TIM2_Init 1 */ htim2.Instance = TIM2; htim2.Init.Prescaler = 280-1; htim2.Init.CounterMode = TIM_COUNTERMODE_UP; htim2.Init.Period = 1000-1; htim2.Init.ClockDivision = TIM_CLOCKDIVISION_DIV1; htim2.Init.AutoReloadPreload = TIM_AUTORELOAD_PRELOAD_DISABL

Hi,the AN2629 mentions the firmware which measure the power consumption of the STM32F10x device in page 22/43. Anyone knows where are the STM3210B-EVAL example projects ? Thanks

We have a custom PCB application that uses the STM32MP151CAC1 as the main CPU. We have tried to use an STLink v3 to connect to the chip over SWD, but have been unable to do so. The chip (through UART4) throws the following error when I try to connect:ERROR: Illegal access to 0xe000edf0: ERROR: FAIL_ID = 0x2 ERROR: Non-Secure ERROR: Privilege ERROR: Write PANIC at PC : 0x2ffc9b61 Exception mode=0x00000016 at: 0x2ffc9b61Meanwhile, on the STCube Programmer, depending on what settings I have, I get one of the following error messages:Error: Cannot connect to access port 1 If you are trying to connet to a device with TrustZone enabled please try to connect with HotPlug modeError: DEV_UNKNOWN_MCU_TARGETError: Cannot identify the deviceSome additional information:The signals I'm trying to communicate over are:JTMS (pin C20 on the STM32MP1)JTCK (B20)JTDI (A20)JTDO (A19)JTRST (19)Of those, JTMS and JTRST are pulled up to VDD through 10K resistors. Hi,I know that DMA can save CPU time by transfering data from memory to peripheral (and from peripheral to memory) but it not clear how this works for I2C since the I2Cx_EV_HANDLER is still called when I changeI2C from IT configuration to DMA configuration. I need to write/read from (STM32G474VET6) I2C without CPU intervention.

Hi,   I have a STM32MP157A-EV1 board. I'm running it in the engineering boot mode and programming the Cortex-M4 directly through the STM32CubeIDE. At the moment, I do not use the Cortex-A7.   I would like to enable USART2 and use it through the ST-LINK to view the printf command that I do on the Cortex-M4.   What I did was enabling USART2 in STM32CubeMX :     I did not change any other configuration and simply regenerated the code. Then I used these functions:   In retarget.c UART_HandleTypeDef *gHuart;   void RetargetInit(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { gHuart = huart;   /* Disable I/O buffering for STDOUT stream, so that * chars are sent out as soon as they are printed. */ setvbuf(stdout, NULL, _IONBF, 0); } In main.c   #include "main.h" #include "cmsis_os.h" ... UART_HandleTypeDef huart2; static void MX_USART2_UART_Init(void); ... int main(){ ... MX_USART2_UART_Init(); RetargetInit(&huart2); ... while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE *
