I recently bought a STM32F446 64 pin chip and wired it up. The following circuit is made: I've installed 0.1uF capacitors between two power pins, and two I've not (It's difficult to do so)   it's consuming around 20 to 30 mA Pin 30 shows 1.132 volts (4.7uF cap is installed) voltage 3.298 v oscillator is working fine I tried bypassing the 15uH inductor as I thought that is too much, but neither way works The chip is perfectly soldered, checked for resistances multiple times   Tried uploading code from both usb to ttl converter and STM programmer from Nucleo f072rb board   all the wiring is correct according to me checked multiple times, but when I upload the code using arduino ide, I get this issue: Sketch uses 16576 bytes (3%) of program storage space. Maximum is 524288 bytes.Global variables use 1212 bytes (0%) of dynamic memory, leaving 129860 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 131072 bytes.NODE_F446RE not found. Please ensure the device is correctly connected.Faile

Hi,I'm having trouble getting my ST-Link V2 dongle to be recognized by Cube Programmer. It is recognized by Windows 10 in the device manager, I have been able to update the firmware, and I can get it to load in STM32 ST-Link Utility, but that program doesn't support the .elf file format I need. When I launch Cube Programmer, it does recognize something as shown by the voltage and the firmware (image attached), but when I click the refresh button next to the serial number it says "No ST-Link detected."I've read from others that there are a lot knockoffs of these dongles floating around that don't work anymore. That might be the problem with mine (this is the second one I've bought and tried). Can anyone point me to a good source to buy a legit one? In the products page, I've only seen the bigger ST-Link V2 unit and the smaller USB-C V3 unit, but not the V2 Dongle.I'm trying to flash a board for an Atari 2600 homebrew game I made and I attached a diagram of what the instructions show

Hello, I am designing a USB-C power sink using the TCPP01-M12 and STM32G071CBT6 (UCPD peripheral). The connector is a Molex 2171790001 receptacle. I have two separate issues and would appreciate guidance on both. --- ISSUE 1: No power at all with Type-C to Type-C cable When I connect a USB-C to USB-C cable between my board and a USB-C charger, the board does not power on. However, when I use a Type-A to Type-C cable (from a USB-A charger), the board powers up fine. Hardware setup:- J1: Molex 2171790001 (CC1 on A5, CC2 on B5 — both routed)- IC1: TCPP01-M12 (CC1C and CC2C connected to J1; CC1 and CC2 connected to STM32 PA8/PB15)- IC2: STM32G071CBT6 (UCPD1_CC1 = PA8, UCPD1_CC2 = PB15)- TCPP01 VCC (pin 12) is driven by STM32 PB12 GPIO (TCPP01_PWR net)- TCPP01 DB/ (pin 10) is connected to STM32 PB11 GPIO- C1 and C2 (330 pF each) are now soldered on CC1c and CC2c lines to GND- R8 and R9 (0 Ω, intended to connect UCPD_DBCC1/PA9 and UCPD_DBCC2/PA10 to GND) are NOT yet soldered — so DBCC1 and D

When U-boot is going to startup at the entry point address = 0x84000000, then this happens.IAC ID 137 is RISAF4 - DDR-SDRAM.SERC ID 32 is USART2.I don't know why USART2 seems to write at the Optee address region (0x82000000 - 0x83FFFFFF) and it all lands on 0x83FFFF80. The optee address region is secure and USART2 seems to write on this address.I have attached my complete device tree and I wonder if the ST dev team can help me to find why USART2 is trying to access 0x83FFFF80 in DDR-SDRAM?My processor is STM32MP257FAK.Note 1: The difference between 0x84000000 and 0x83FFFF80 is 128, e.g one byte. I have a Nucleo-WL33CC1 board which has been working fine, but after starting to work on a DEEP SLEEP implementation I can not connect any longer using SWD neither through Crossworks IDE nor CubeProgrammer. Any possibility to unbrick the board?

I have used a Micro USB cable and it doesn't insert. Help

Hi everyone! I am developing a custom inverter+control board and need to use motor pilot. Would someone please tell that apart from enabling UART TX and RX through Motor Control Workbench and wiring them, what additional hardware do I need for isolated connection to a PC?Thanks and Regards

So along time ago I created a very helpful program using an STm32H743ZI nucelo board. Then - STM discontinued that board -- GRRRR The recommended solution was:NUCELO-H755ZI-Q - so I purchased 4 of these. PROBLEM there are no usable examples in the STM32 cube suite that works with this board. I need to port my old STM32H743 code to this new chip GRRR Ok that should be easy. Turns out there is a huge problem with using this board because of the power supply, the key feature I need is exactly the ETHERNET interface. BUT - cubesuite does not have a ETHERNET example I can start from.. ie: that properly initializes the board to run at "some fast speed (i do not really care, speed is not important, I just need the 100mbit ethernet to work). The specific problem I had was I programed my board and evidently it locks the board up hard, jtag no longer works. The solution is to use a jumper force the chip into "BOOTLOADER MODE" then JTAG works again and I can flash-erase the chip via JTAG. I do no

Hello, I was using CubeMX with CubeIDE and since the release of CubeMX2, VSCode is promoted as the go-to.At the same time, CubeIDE got an update to importe Cmake project. What are the plans ?Will MX2 continue to support CubeIDE with Cmake only ? Will CubeIDE project exports be added to MX2?Or will VSCode be the main target for MX2?In sumary, which workflow will be the best for future dev since ST seems to refactor its whole ecosystem ?

HI,as we understand, TouchGFX does not provide support for mulitple layers, even though many targeted STM32 controllers do.We need to display a live image from the camera (at maximum possible frame rate) and overlay some gaphics on the top of it. Kind of OSD. What is the best/recommended way to achieve this task with TouchGFX? Is it feasible to do so with TouchGFX at all or the resulting performce will suffer too much? What do we do with StemWin - the hardware LTDC Layer 0 is used for the camera live image, while Layer 1 is for any graphics over the latter. Neither of two get affected by each ohter and very high frame rate is achievable without visible performance degradation. What solution TouchGFX may offer for similar tasks? Thanks. If it is matter:The display resoltion is 800x600, the camera image is a standard grayscale PAL 720x576

Hi, I am using STM32G491 with 2 FDCAN channels. FDCAN1 is working normally for sending and receiving data. Hello,i did the OEMiROT examples following How to start with OEMiRoT on STM32C5 using CMake by converting the EWARM project config. I would like to give that CMake config back as well as some fixes to the provisioning script / example_config. Where/How do I that?I know the GitHub Repo, however since there are no open/close tickets, I wounder if that is the right place.

I am trying to run this demo, but I am receiving an error. How should I program this board? Should I use an ST-LINK or a USB-to-TTL adapter, or is a direct USB Type-C connection sufficient? I am trying to program it via TouchGFX Designer. HelloI am using a Mac. There is software support for stm32cude ide on Mac. But I would like to ask if there is support for Touchgfx application on a Mac.On the website https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/x-cube-touchgfx.htmlI can not find a link to download the software for Mac.Is there software support for Mac or any other way to run this application? Thank you

Hi,   I wanted to set up time keeping on my Discovery board for testing something. I see the following in the documentation for the larger STM32F769-EVAL:   https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeF7/blob/master/Projects/STM32F769I_EVAL/Examples/RTC/RTC_InternalTimeStamp/readme.txt   - This example runs on STM32F779xx/STM32F777xx/STM32F767xx/STM32F769xx Devices.- This example has been tested with STMicroelectronics STM32F769I-EVALboard and can be easily tailored to any other supported device and development board. - STM32F769I-EVAL Set-up- Make sure that JP15 is in position 2-3 to connect 3V battery to VBAT pin.   At first I didn't know -EVAL and -DISCO are two different things and kept searching through the manual for the -DISCO where JP15 seems to have a different role. But the first line from the docs makes me think there has to be an RTC on the -DISCO board. I take it I need to put a 3.3V battery somewhere. In the diagram I see a number of 3.3V conne

Hello, I ran into an issue when testing a UART application on a STM32C562RE in loopback mode with RTS and CTS enabled. The app does the following:1. Start receiving 1 character at a time by using HAL_UART_Receive_IT.2. Send a string 3. After the received character is printed out I issue another call HAL_UART_Receive_IT.Everything works fine; the app prints out the string I sent. I wanted to make sure the hardware flow control was running correctly so I placed a HAL_Delay(1) after I print out the character received and before I issue a new call  to HAL_UART_Receive_IT. This should stop the transmitter due to the CTS -> 1 (no more room in the Rx buffer) and it should restart it after I issue the HAL_UART_Receive_IT CTS -> 0 due to available room in the Rx buffer; and, it does. All the characters are received as expected however HAL_UART_Receive_IT returns HAL_ERROR. Everything seems normal except the error returned by HAL_UART_Receive_IT.I de

Hello, we are seeing a weird symptom in our application in which all LTDC registers are reading back the same seemingly random number.  This is during a debugging session via system viewer (we are using Keil 5.40 and compiler 5), OR when reading and printing out values to serial at runtime.  The LTDC seems to be operating properly (mostly, working through various issues but it's displaying graphics at least.  I'm stumped, and so are the AIs I use.  Any ideas as to why this might be?

I have troubles using SPI3 on STM32U575VG. After some time the transfer hangs and it is not possible to amend it until whole reset.Configuration: Only transmit, is feeds LCD display, 240 lines, 54 bytes each.APB3 clock 48 MHz. Manual CS handling, SCLK 1.5 MHz.Everything looks ok, it works, but after some time and on some boards only it hangs. The problem appeared in the start of production. Symptoms: after configuration and LL_SPI_Enable(), the DMA transfers 16 bytes to the FIFO. That's ok, DMA works. But after LL_SPI_StartMasterTransfer(), the transfer doesn't start.Looking at the pins, SCLK remains low and MOSI contains some data, but very slow, one bit interval seems to be 8 ms. Reset of the SPI doesn't help. Reinit of the whole MCU after STOP2 (without reset), including all clocks doesn't help. The only thing that works is the reset of the whole MCU. I have no idea where to look at more. The SPI is not overclocked, it doesn't wait for any external signal. It happens sometimes

Is there a STM32N6 throughput test on the USB 2-480Mb happened.   I'm just curious because i'm getting a throughput on my design of *  97 Mb    Just wondering what is a idealistic throughput to see if i need to edit something on my end or this is a expected throughput to get.

Hello,Here are a few things I need to clarify regarding the EVSPIN32G4 current measurement and the related MCSDK software:Referring to section 5.6.1, 5.6.2 and 5.6.3 of the UM2850, I believe that the topology using three standalone OpAmps presented in section 5.6.2 is not currently supported by MCSDK, is this correct? So, considering the 2 topologies presented in 5.6.1 and 5.6.3, is there a major disadvantage to go for the internal PGA solution compared to the first configuration which requires external feedback networks on the inverting side of the OpAmp?At the end of section 5.6.3, it is recommended to connect the inverting input of the PGAs to shunt resistors to perform differential current measurement in case of high current application, but I don't have the possibility to do it in MCSDK since only the "single ended" sensing type is available, what do you propose in this case? Thanks in advance and best regards.

I'm looking at setting the RDP Level to Level 1 for an STM32F103 and I don't see the AA BB CC type stuff like in the current manual. Is this something that STM32CubeProgrammer is doing on purpose for this MCU?  I definitely don't want to enable Level 2 by accident and brick my chip.  Here is a screenshot of what I see:Is it safe to check this?
