HI,we are interested in a guide to  a clear workflow of integrating CubeMX-generated code for U5 into TFM-based application. In particular:1. We have trustzone-enabled CubeMX-generated app with Azure RTOS and TouchGFX. The IDE and compiler are IAR. We want to be able to easily debug and re-build it, as needed, without any much security involved and, even most important, without manipulations with flash loaders and signed binaries every time a single line of code gets changed. 2. Once we are happy with stable code behaviour, then we want to "wrap" it in TFM, by letting the latter to create signed binaries and the loader, as per TFM example for U5 from STM. If any intermittent step((s) required to achieve so: adjusting addressees, locations, etc - we are OK to create custom pre/post builds ourselves. But we'd like to know what exactly steps are needed. So the questions are:a). Is there any help/guide/examples or any other support can be expected from STM for that matter?(Ye

Hi, I have some questions regarding the ST60x parts Do you have a bulk quantity price estimate for the ST60A2 and ST60A3H1 parts? Are there recommendations for transmitting parallel data across the chip, such as preferred serializer/deserializer ICs? What is the preferred distributer for these parts? Thanks,Jakob C.

I am observing an unexpected reading issue. I am using Calibration and I use a physical distance to Calibrate.  However,  an object right in front of the sensor (1-20mm'ish away) reads a value of 0 (zero).  If I change the Calibration to physical distance + 20 (rough) I get a better measurement of the object when its in front -- I get in fact more of a measurement I would expect.  However,  I would need to calibrate at a distance greater than the physical distance -- which is not what I thought one is supposed to do?

Hi,I am working on a project that store the Configuration data of one device, It needs to be stored in specific sectionstatic unsigned char myBuffer[4] __attribute__((section (".m_data_20000000"))) { 11, 22, 33, 44};with this command I'm able to store it in Program-1 linker script of program-1.m_data_20000000 :{. = ALIGN(4);KEEP (*(.m_data_20000000*)). = ALIGN(4);} >FLASHI have tried NOLOAD NOINIT it is not working...........what changes need to do in program-2But now I want the stored myBuffer[4] data from Flash of stm32 which is stored previously by program-1, without erasing I want access of myBuffer[4] with program-2?What changes I need to do in IAR and STM32Cube IDE for telling them not erase that section, I want access, what type of variable I need to declare in program-2 it is pointer or extern..........Please Help me....

Hi, I have got the filex + levelx working with qspi nor flash chip ( 16 MB size )along with threadx. However I am not able to get the USBX MSC to work to see the files by attaching the STM32H563 Nucleo board to a PC.But the USBx stack doesn't seem to work. I have checked and used all the code from a ready STM32H573 discovery project give by ST Micro. The USBPD stack uses the  void USBPD_DPM_Notification(uint8_t PortNum, USBPD_NotifyEventValue_TypeDef EventVal) function to call start the USB interface. But the USBPD_DPM_Notification() doesn't get called. I am unable to get the USBx CDC ACM working along side Filex as well.

Hi,where can I find a list of all the drivers/libraries supplied by ST?In particular, because of the need for fast time to market, I am trying to find those for all QSPI flash ICs so I can choose external flash (for video and graphics) accordingly (mainly those that can be used with DMA).Thank you

Have a problem with write Scatter-Loading Description File for STM32H743 (arm keil).I need to map SDRAM memory.Regular I do it like:RW_RAM1 0xD0000000 0x00800000 { ; fmc bank 2  *(SDRAM) }On all other MCU's it's work perfect, but not for stm32H7. It's fail on BX R0 command from startup file: LDR   R0, =SystemInit         BLX   R0         LDR   R0, =__main         BX   R0 //after this command

I am currently working on a project using LWIP with RTOS to send large web data files. I am using the STM32H573VIT MCU. However, I have encountered an issue where I am unable to send the entire file at once. To resolve this, I divided the file into smaller packets of 1KB, which allows the transmission to succeed. While this approach works initially, after reloading the webpage a few times, I experience a problem where the MCU stops responding after sending only a few packets. The transmission fails, and the program halts unexpectedly.I would greatly appreciate your assistance in diagnosing and resolving this issue. Could you please guide me on possible reasons for this behavior and suggest any potential fixes?I attached the lwip config file:

Hello, I am looking for a way to set up DMA to transfer from peripheral to circular buffer triggered from Timer I hoped I could set it up just like it is described here, just change the source:It samples data as expected but only once, it does not repeat when all 256 samples are taken. Do I understand that picture wrong or is it bad? Do I need to do some more settings? So my code looks like this:   #define GPIO_DMA_SAMPLE_BUFFER (256) uint16_t gGPIO_DMASampleBuffer[GPIO_DMA_SAMPLE_BUFFER] = {0}; void DMA_Init() { //Enable DMA clock RCC->AHB1ENR |= RCC_AHB1ENR_GPDMA1EN | RCC_AHB1ENR_GPDMA2EN; //Destination address increase, Source = Destination 16 bit wide GPDMA1_Channel0->CTR1 = DMA_CTR1_DINC | DMA_CTR1_DDW_LOG2_0 | DMA_CTR1_SDW_LOG2_0; //Request by tim2_upd_dma GPDMA1_Channel0->CTR2 = 76; //Transfer buffer size GPDMA1_Channel0->CBR1 = GPIO_DMA_SAMPLE_BUFFER; //Source GPIOC GPDMA1_Channel0->CSAR = (uint32_t)&(GPIOC->I

Hello,I am using STM32-U585I-IOT02A board. I have initialized USB-C SINK TCPP project with fixed 9V settings. On STM32CubeMonUCPD, 'ibus(mA)' value is always zero when connected BMS board shows charging current more than 1A. Please let me know if I missed something. Thank you.

Dear All,I've been using MCU/DSP-related products for over 10+ years, but I've always had some confusion about clock multipliers and dividers. I'd like to ask for everyone's opinion on this topic. As shown as below figure (it's the clock configuration of the STM32H563), if I want the SYSCLK clock signal to be 120MHz, I can configure it as follows: CSI is the source clock (4MHz), and along the way, it passes through a divider of /1, a multiplier of x60, and then a divider of /2, resulting in a final SYSCLK of 120MHz./1    x60    /2 But we can also achieve a SYSCLK of 120MHz through the following configurations of multipliers and dividers./ 4  x240   /2    =120MHz /2    *240    /4   = 120MHz So, which configuration would be better? In my thinking, it seems like it's better to minimize the multiplier and divider values as much as possible, in order to maintain the clock source closer to its original. Hi I am using below controller in one of our designSTM32G474CET3 i would like to know minimum external clock frequency on which my microcontroller works. Also my requirement includes 1 SPI, 1 I2C and 4 ADC input sensing. I would need very minimum external clock frequency on which it can ru,And ultimate goal is to run 1 SPI, 1 I2C and 4 ADC input sensing at a very low current consumption for 3.3V microcontroller supply, In datasheet its mentioned from 4 MHz, can this be used in 1 to 3 MHz range tooAlso any ball park current consumption can i get for 1 SPI, 1 I2C and 4 ADC input sensing at 3.3V input to Microcontroller.

Hi,I am trying to update the firmware with an xmodem protocol over a uart with stm32. I convert the hex file created by CubeIDE into an Xmodem 1k package and send it. The bootloader I wrote in Stm32, receives this data and writes it to the necessary address. There is no problem on this side. However, there is a difference between the program I sent and the program compiled and written by CubeIDE. This causes the program to not work properly. There are some lines in the hex file that are not completed to 16 bytes, I add 0xFF to the end of them, package them and send them like that.                                        .                                        .

Dear Community,I am currently facing this issue where my STM32 Black Pill F411CE suddenly went into hard fault during runtime. The MCU was permanently gone and was not able to be re-programmed, and four others that I connected to the same hardware were also gone. After waiting some time, I replaced the Black Pill on my hardware with the same firmware. It was working; and it has been working fine for a couple of hours now. Note that the hardware is thoroughly tested and has been used for past few years, so I don't know if it could be a problem. Also, one of the MCUs that got damaged, is able to upload and even verify the code, but in the debug mode, it goes into Hard Fault Handler at start even before HAL Init. My understanding is that the flash got corrupted in all of them all at once. I have no RTOS in the firmware, and it uses STM32 HAL Libraries, and it is doubtful that there was any memory access issue, because the firmware is tested properly, and I really don't know how five micro

Hi,We made a board with STM32G473CCU and we are using OPAMP2 as follower internally connected to ADC2 to read a thermistor currently at 720mV. We find that the value given by ADC reduces if we read continuously and only becomes stable if we wait at least 2000ms between reads. Code summary:ADC_Enable(&hadc2);HAL_Delay(2000); // needed or read value reducesHAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc2, ADC_SINGLE_ENDED);HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&hadc2, 2000);debug1 = 3300 * HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc2) / 0xFFF;With 2000ms or more wait between reads we get ~1730mV, with more regular reads this drops and with continuous mode it drops to 60mVWe also found that 2450 - debug1 gives a reasonable reading with 2000ms delay in-between.Why does the voltage of ADC drop when reading regularly despite the opamp buffer? Thanks

Hi everyoneI want to measure a small voltage of 10mv-50mv of a sine wave. Can i use Internal adc of nucleo board ? what is the lowest voltage i can measure using internal adc.

Hi,looking at this dev kit  https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/32f469idiscovery.html#overviewit comes with a 800x480 pixels display and the QSPI is "only" 128Mbit.Am I correct in saying that (without any compression) it can only store just over 10 full screen-sized images assuming 4 bytes per colour (1 layer with transparency)?128,000,000 / (800 x 480 x 32) = 10.4That also means no video can be stored (unless you just play a few frames)? Is that correct or am I missing something?Thank you :)

hello everyone, I am having a problem with my stm32H745I board testing code for the RTC,RCC and power supply it seems that it stopped working. At first it wouldn't let me upload code until with stmprogrammer I connected by holding reset. Now I can upload code but it doesn't do anything, not even a simple led which is a test code of mine that was working. When debugging I find that it stays in this part of the code in loop:   /* invalidate D-Cache */ sets = (uint32_t)(CCSIDR_SETS(ccsidr)); do { ways = (uint32_t)(CCSIDR_WAYS(ccsidr)); do { SCB->DCISW = (((sets << SCB_DCISW_SET_Pos) & SCB_DCISW_SET_Msk) | ((ways << SCB_DCISW_WAY_Pos) & SCB_DCISW_WAY_Msk) ); #if defined ( __CC_ARM ) __schedule_barrier(); #endif } while (ways-- != 0U); } while(sets-- != 0U); __DSB(); SCB->CCR |= (uint32_t)SCB_CCR_DC_Msk; /* enable D-Cache */ __DSB(); __ISB(); #endif }"   I tried to update firmware, load .hex, erase memory with stmprogrammer and nothing.

HI EveryoneI am using Nucleof446RE board for uart communication through usb cable which is also my power supplyIs it possible to use external 5V supply for MCU and use USB cable only for uart communication or any uart to usb converters are needed to communicate to PC.Thank you

If I want to the timer to run for 10s, having the system clock running at 240Hz. What value should I choose for the prescaler and counter period settings. I want to know the process to calculate the above values?

Hello everyone,I'm currently trying to create a nested project in CubeIDE. Unfortunately I can't find any useful information online.I'm probably searching for the wrong terms.I would like to create a Project structure something like this:Parent Project     - Bootloader Project     - Application ProjectIf the parent project is built, the bootloader and application projects should be built as well. Both the bootloader and application have the same target chip and are stored in different parts of the flash memory.I would highly appreciate any tips or suggestions on how to do this.Kind regardsDominik Schmid

hi,I used an example in mc workbench because I could not select my controller board as it is not separately available. then I generated a project for excuse and cube ide, I ran the program and had to create a hex file by adjusting settings and flashing that hex file on the controller. still, the motor profiler is unable to read the controller and I am receiving a firmware error. can you provide a proper firmware file for my project, I have tried everything.Project name9example (example used): Electronic Speed control on B-G431B-ESC1 kitMCU: STM32G431CBtype: algorithm- FOC, topology- three shunt resistorsControl: B-G431B-ESC1Powers: B-G431B_ESC1Motor: SM-PMSMDescription: Electronic speed control on B-G431B-ESC1 kit and SM-PMSM SHINANO motor. (I am using custom made SM_PMSM motor)then I tried using older versions of mcsdk, the motor profiler reads the boards and then stops, giving the same errorerror: firmware error: the firmware detected is not a profiler firmware, please generate

Hello, STM32 community,I’m currently working with the STM32U5 and using the DCMI (Digital Camera Interface) to interface with a ADC Module which has a pixel clock and outputs 14-bit parallel data. While I understand that the DCMI supports extended data modes up to 14 bits, I wanted to clarify if the DCMI FIFO in the STM32U5 can handle the full 14-bit data width (D0–D13) in high-speed operations. In some documentation(AN5020) and block diagrams, it appears the 4-word FIFO on dcmi might only be used for 12-bit data (D0–D11). However, for my project, I need to confirm if the FIFO can manage the additional 2 bits for 14-bit mode without causing overflow or data loss during DMA transfers. Can anyone confirm if the STM32U5  DCMI 4 WORD FIFO fully supports 14-bit parallel data in DCMI extended data mode, or are there any limitations I should be aware of?Thank you for your help!RegardsJAYAPRAKASH PAKTIS  ENGINEERING SOLUTION
