Hello,I have recently installed and launched stm32cubeai studio latest version and it appears to be hung at launch screen with progress bar in motion.I have tried to close this from task window and tried uninstalling and installing it but still same issue.restarted the pc as well. What could be the issue. I have still 10 gb of hard disc space left. Br, 

Hello, I used MX2 for the last two weeks and it is a great improvement over MX. I build many small projects with it and I am constantly running into a problem related to timer configuration. I enter the values for the Prescaler and the Counter period as Integers and unfortunately when I close the project and reopen MX2 converts the value to Hex (and indicates that it is a Hex value). I keep forgetting that MX2 does this and I enter a new value as an Int thinking that my selection was sticky. Could you make the Int/Hex selection sticky? It's a small issue but it will save developers some trouble. Thank you,Gil

AS THIS BOARD HAVE ETHERNET IC LAN8742A-CZ-TR WHICH HAVE BOTH MII,RMII PROTOCOLS.AS I HAVE SEEN SOME VIDEOS ON ETHERNET FOR DIFFERENT STM32 CONTROLLER IN RMII, I M NOT ABLE TO GET RESULT.  I WANTED TO KNOW DO THIS BOARD CONFIGURE IN RMII, IF YES THEN TELL ME HOW I CAN DO. It looks like I have the 32F469IDISCOVERY board that looks to be powered ok via USB connector CN13, however the board doesn't appear to have demo software preloaded. COM LED LD6 flashes red. I note on the ST website that there is the 32F469IDISCOVERY compiled demo binary, which I have downloaded. The Readme says: The QSPI external flash loader is not integrated with supported toolchains, it ís only supported withSTM32 ST-Link Utility V3.7 or later. But the ST website says that the ST-Link Utility is NRND and to use STM32CubeProg instead. I've tried the latest version of STM32CubeProg and it can't connect to the board via USB: Error: Establishing connection with device failed. What is the best way of programming the board with this file please? Kind regards, Al

CubeMX 6.17. When creating a new project for H533RETx or for the corresponding Nucleo-H533, SYSCLK is set at 32 MHz.Not sure whether or not it is intended, but it looks like a trap for a new user, since the MCU datasheet talks about 250 MHz.Instead, example projects for Nucleo-H533 (at least the couple that I've seen) quite reasonably run the MCU at 250 MHz, driven from the crystal present on the board.

Dear,When running the FSBL that includes HAL XSPI initialization logic on the Nucleo-N657X0-Q board (MB1940-N657X0Q-C02), the flash erase with the STM32CubeProgrammmer v2.22 sometimes fails. However, if I leave out the XSPI initialization logic for accessing the NOR flash, flash erase always succeeds. BOOT pin 1 is set to DEV and I am loading the FSBL firmware directly into RAM.Do you have any idea why XSPI Init causes the flash erase to fail ?BR,EdwinD 

I have created a project with a scroll wheel of 10 items, each item is displaying a single digit 0-9. Imagine an odometer for instance.  I am incrementing a variable(num) every second and usingscrollWheel.animateToItem(num, 20);to scroll through the list of items, it is working as expected until it gets to 9. Instead of it the scroll wheel continuing to rotate the same direction to 0 it reverses the direction of rotation and scroll past all other digits to get back to zero.  I have verified I have the scroll wheel set as "Circular" and it does indeed display the scroll wheel correctly as if it was circular.  Can I somehow change this behavior?

Hello, we have a working design that is in production, but obviously cannot keep building because of the EOL variable capacitors. Our application is reader only, no card emulation. Since we don't need CE, do the variable capacitors need to be populated? Or can they be replaced with a fixed value capacitor? If the latter is correct, then what value capacitor to use? We want to minimize changes to the design since it is working well. In the future we will change to the ST25R300 bur right now we have to stick with the current design. Thanks,Derek

  I am testing the board with a 14s Li-ion battery, but I am unable to read the cell voltages or configure any register through the GUI. I shorted the X1 and P2 power supply inputs and supplied 12 V to both. This was the only setup in which I could get a green ACK indicator. The results were: Only cell 1 showed a voltage, but it was incorrect (5.8 V). When I try to write or read any register, I receive an ACK, but the register value does not remain as written. I also tried to connect VBAT (P2-15) to C14 (by soldering R22) and GND (P2-9 or 23) to C0, but in this configuration the device does not start and the D13 LED does not blink. I tried several times, resetting all the power supplies in different sequences, but I still could not communicate with the device. After returning to the initial setup, powering the L9963 with 12 V, I was again unable to configure the ID or take any measurements.    

can someone help me with communication of l9961 chip to get voltages of 4s cells n current n charge accumulated by using esp32 or aurdino i dont have this chip n i am not a coder i tried my best but can get any data from the chip just i2c add 0x49 n this register 0x00 gives  0x41 n nothing please hep

Hello, we are in the process of developing a BMS using an STM32 and L9961. We were wondering if there was any source or example code of a full BMS we could have access to in order to speed up our development. I am aware of the example code on the product page but was hoping there would be something more fleshed out. In addition, I wanted to know if ST has a vault of cell models that we can use with the BMS for fuel gauging? We use Molicel P50B cells and plan to use Molicel P60B cells in the future. Thanks,Jon

Hi all.I'm new to STM, but have been designing and making embedded MCU products for over ten years.I was drawn to the STM32F105 series because of the USB DFU, to allow for field updates for prospective customers to update a product we're developing. Outside of USB DFU functionality, we just need 3x UART's, one GPI, one GPO. That's it. We steer clear of USART1 because of it's overlap with OTG_FS pins. We have got our product working using a ST-Link programmer, but not as yet using the USB DFU.Our USB connection just isn't enumerating. The wiring is correct when compared to off-the-shelf STM32 enabled boards with OTG USB interfaces.I am across the date code bootloader issue as described in AN2606, our chips definitely come with bootloader 2.2. I have VBUS from the USB-C tied to PA9 (OTG_FS_VBUS). Yes, USB-C but with the 5.1K resistors between CC1, CC2 and GND. NRST is pulled to 3V3 with a 10K pull-up. Hi, I've just installed v2.14.0 for the first time, but it will not start up. All I get is the blue STM screen for a few second, then it disappears. I tried the command prompt start up detailed in This Post but I end up with an error message, shown below. I need help on how to proceed as I do not have JRE installed on my PC, but have had it in the past. Hi, I'm working on the STM32H7S7L86H with cube MX 6.17 and cube H7RS 1.3.0I need to use RNG in appli and boot context but it is grayed because it accept only one context. It also block the usage of the hash module.Any idea how to fix this ?Thanks

Hi,I recently just finished the Yocto Bringup of a custom STM32MP15FAA1. Everything seems to be working in my application. I am now looking to begin development of the M4 in which I need access to either SWD or JTAG to do lower-level development. Unfortunately, I am having trouble connecting to either interfaces through both CubeIDE and also manually inputting OpenOCD in an IDF Powershell instance.I presume the easiest way to get to my goal is to setup SWD which on the MP15 maps to TMS (SWDIO) and TCLK (SWCLK) and I connected GND and VCC. My STLinkV3-MIME detects 3.3V on the reference line but can never connect to target. This is my first time working with a SOM as most of my development is on base Cortex M microcontrollers so I have a few questions.1. Is there anything in the M4 device tree that can be preventing JTAG from operating like the STPMIC? I do have M4 RPROC enabled in my device tree and the file descriptor is available for me to access.2. Does the boot mode matter? My end a

Hello,I am using STM32H750 and X-Cube-Crypto lib. I am working on a secure boot and want to calculate the app Hash value to check integrity. The library works fine for STM32L5 Mcu (Already tested) but not with STM32H750. I verified that I am using the correct lib libSTM32Cryptographic_CM7.a.The issue I get is a Hardfault triggered by a function in the lib. When I investigated more, I found that The Mcu tries to load data from a Peripheral Register not mapped for STM32H750 MCU.What do yo think could be the issue? Thanks,Ayoub

Hi,I am using the STM32CubeProgrammer API (v2.20.0) on Windows 11 using the Visual Studio UART example as a base. Everything works fine, however this issue is slowing down the programming workflow.After programming the MCU option bytes to RDP1 (or Closed state on some newer devices), there is a long delay (20 to 30 seconds) during the attempts to reconnect to the device. I already expect that the reconnection attempt will fail, so is there a way to reduce the time or number of reconnection attempts? Or a way to cancel the current operation? The time taken for failed reconnection attempts is 2x longer than the actual programming of the MCU.I noticed that there is a getCancelPointer() function in the API, but I have found no documentation or examples on how to use it. Hi!I think a have found a bug in CubeMX for STM32MP257F processor.If you go to RIF - RISAB - VDERAM. You will find that the region size can only be 0x21000. That's more than 128 kB, according to the data sheet.SYSRAM1, SYSRAM2, SRAM1, SRAM2, RETRAM have 0x20000 as maximum region size.Question: If this is a bug, then I want to send a PR to the Github ST repository of the MP2 firmware. Can you guide me where the code is so I can make a PR?

Stm32l010r and s2lp using x cube sub ghz , for custom board just for coding only gpio button status, there are plenty of error, by solving all those 4-5 errors remain and their resolving method is to complete change of middleware files or some code left in file even check through free AI they finally there no such files in middleware add some, for adding it will not compatible with existing file. If tried in stm32wl33cc it also shows so many error but finally there something missing. There are some radio.spi.h and some similar files there in s2lp nucleo example in spirit 2 workshop project, but in s2lp middleware they are not available and look like board specific. If any available example and transmitting and receiving data for s2lp and stm32wl33cc.

Hello STM32 Community, I am facing a persistent "Target no device found" error when trying to program an STM32L073CZT3 custom board using a Nucleo-L073RZ as an external ST-LINK (CN2 jumpers removed). Hardware Setup: MCU: STM32L073CZT3 (custom PCB) Debugger: ST-LINK V2-1 (Nucleo-64) Connection: 5-wire SWD (SWDIO, SWCLK, GND, NRST, VDD_Sensing) Power: External SMPS providing 3.3V (Common Ground established between SMPS and ST-LINK). The Issue: While the ST-LINK pins show correct voltages when floating, the SWDIO (PA13) pin drops to 0V the moment it is connected to the target board. Pin 1 (VDD Sense): 3.3V Pin 2 (SWCLK): 3.29V Pin 4 (SWDIO):  (Measured 2.9V on ST-LINK side connection) Pin 5 (NRST): 3.3V Troubleshooting performed: Verified continuity; no physical shorts found between PA13 and GND. Attempted "Connect Under Reset" and "Hardware Reset" at 480 kHz. Schematic Check: I have a 10uF capacitor (C17) on the NRST line—could this be preventing the debugg

Hello,  I am trying to use a proteus1 to monitor temp and vibration on a spindle and i just cant seem to find the best way to do this. I would  like to use a cloud so I can monitor it off site and get a notification if the temp rises above a threshold. what would you recommend. I have tried the azur cloud i can get the device to connect but then in the classic app i can not get it to send any information. I have tried almost all firmware versions and just cant seem to crack this. Anything will help. Thank you,
