Posted on April 12, 2017 at 06:26Hello,Does any one have  stm8s003f3p6 eep-rom read and write example code in stvd. How do I assign  dataeeprom  address directly to a pointer variable. unsigned  int *ptr=(unsigned int *)0x4047;   is this OK?? Thanks.

Posted on April 06, 2017 at 16:20Hi. I change memory model and libraries for code larger than 64K. The error receive after linking: #error clnk Debug\canli.lkf:1 symbol __stext not defined (Debug\stm8l_stl_startup.o ) The command: 'clnk -l'C:\Program Files (x86)\COSMIC\FSE_Compilers\CXSTM8\Lib' -o Debug\canli.sm8 -mDebug\canli.map Debug\canli.lkf ' has failed, the returned value is: 1The code is #define GotoCompilerStartUp() _asm('xdef __stext\n jp __stext\n'); /* _stext() */When i change memory model and libraries for code larger than 64K,  Should i update assambly code in different way?Best regards. irfan

Posted on April 06, 2017 at 17:13ST product selector doesn't have a selection for JTAG port.  What bi-directional ST Micro TVS would be optimal for a JTAG port to use for ESD protection?  Looking for a part number please.  ST improving the website to put JTAG in it's TVS selector list would be appropriate, (wishful thinking for ST's website).

Posted on April 04, 2017 at 12:46Hello,im quite new to the STM32 ecosystem and i'm looking for a board to start my IoT project.I found the SWPF01SA module but it is not clear if it is what i want (can't fine much on GPIO).I assume it doesn't have an ADC so i looked for a dev board. But which one?Regards,#spwf #wifi

Posted on March 31, 2017 at 14:45Hello Everyone.. I have come across ST710F microcontroller in one of our old designs. I tried to find the information about this microcontroller but I have not found any information. Is this part obsolete? If it is obsolete, then what is closest replacement for this microcontroller. Can anyone reply to this as soon as possible?

Designers can start a project in record time, and more easily move to prototyping, thanks to eDesignSuite’s ability to generate a complete bill of material, and show the performance of the circuit under different operating conditions. http://blog.st.com/edesignsuite-st-wurth-bring-just-transformers/...

Posted on November 18, 2015 at 07:54Hello,      We had developed one application using STVD IDE & cosmic compiler with 8k limit, for that we have following error while compile the code.#error clnk Release\stm8s003.lkf:1 segment .text size overflow (1358) The command: ''clnk -l''C:\Program Files\COSMIC\32K_Compilers\CXSTM8\Lib''  -o Release\stm8s003.sm8 Release\stm8s003.lkf '' has failed, the returned value is: 1exit code=1.    Now we have cosmic compiler with STM8_STM32_32k license.lic file which is copied into License folder & then compile the code but still we have same error as above so please help us & give solution.Thank You.

Posted on October 23, 2014 at 23:03I wrote a http://www.colecovision.eu/stm8/L-Discovery%20LED.shtml that shows how to blink LEDs on a STM8L-Discovery using free tools only. It consists of a few lines of C code to set up a timer, implement clock(), and use it to blink the green LED exactly once per second and the blue LED exactly once every two seconds. The C code is compiled using sdcc 3.4.0 or newer and put onto the board using the free stm8flash utility. Please tell me if  you find anything wrong or missing in the tutorial. Philipp

Posted on March 07, 2017 at 23:06HI:I've designed a SMPS with a viper controller, 3 outputs.  Is there a preferred way/tool to apply the design parameters to make an actual flyback transformer?  Magnetics has never been my strong area. Thanks!  Tom

Posted on March 13, 2017 at 14:32I've used the eDesignSuite to design a power supply using a VIPer38LE.  I'm verifying results and I'm having difficulty getting to the same primary inductance the design suite is.  Can someone get that info to me?  I am currently using the formulas in the Fairchild Application Note AN4137.Thank You!Tom

Posted on March 06, 2017 at 23:07Hello! I can't initialize internal CAN bootloader on stm8AF52A8 with HSE 24 MHz, it is silent.I tested all: bootloader enable option byte is set.CAN is OK, i tested it in my program.HSE is OK.Soft on PC is OK, I tested it with kit MB1036, as a flash loader. MB1036 have  stm8af5288 with 16MHz.Any ideas? Maybe there are subtleties that I'm missing?#stm8-can-bootloader
