Hello,I am not sure if this is the right place to report a documentation errors! There is a typo in Table 11 in page 99. The address should be 0x0803 F000
Hi,I successfully configured the transceiver RX mode with RX always ON.Now I'm trying to use Sniff mode. Basically I copied the example from S2LP DK. // Below the code relevant for sniff mode. Initial radio, packet and address // configuration is done the same for RX and TX S2LPGpioIrqDeInit(NULL); S2LPGpioIrqConfig(RX_DATA_READY, S_ENABLE); // this line is not from the example. // but without additional IRQs the S2LP ends up in the SLEEP_NO_FIFO S2LPGpioIrqConfig(RX_SNIFF_TIMEOUT, S_ENABLE); SRssiInit xSRssiInit = { .cRssiFlt = 14, .xRssiMode = RSSI_STATIC_MODE, .cRssiThreshdBm = -70, }; S2LPRadioRssiInit(&xSRssiInit); S2LPGpioIrqClearStatus(); S2LPCmdStrobeFlushRxFifo(); /* set the LDC mode wkup */ S2LPTimerSetWakeUpTimerUs(1000*MIN_PERIOD_WAKEUP); /* set the rx timeout */ S2LPTimerSetRxTimerUs(30000); /* use SLEEP_A mode (default) */ S2LPTimerSleepB(S_DISABLE); /* enable LDC mode, FAST RX TERM and start Rx */ S2LPTimerLdcrMode(S_ENA
Hello, In one of my projects, I use BLUENRG-M2SP as a network coprocessor with a host microcontroller from STM32L0 series together. I flashed BLUENRG-M2SP with pre-compiled DTM_SPI.hex which is used by X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1. My application code is run by host uC. Default BLE firmware is used as I indicated (BlueNRG-1_2 DK 3.2.3\Firmware\BLE_Examples\DTM\BlueNRG-2\DTM_SPI.hex) In this configuration, it operates as expected well. But, I would like to use my custom Mac address. To do that I have 3 questions; 1) As I understand from application notes & community forum, to use my custom mac address, I need to write it to a specific location of flash (I have done it by BlueNRG-X Flasher Utility while flashing firmware). and then I need to read from the flash again and write it down by following: ret=aci_hal_write_config_data(CONFIG_DATA_PUBADDR_OFFSET,CONFIG_DATA_PUBAD DR_LEN, bdaddr); am I right ? 2) If I am right, should I read
I am trying to develop some custom code using the BlueNRG-2 chip. I have my own custom board but first I am trying to get things to work on the STEVAL-BCN002V1 blue tile. That board comes preloaded with the Sensor Demo which worked fine. I am using the latest KEIl IDE for the BlueNRG series. I also dowloaded all of the recent DK files for the Tile board and the BlueNRG. I opened the Sensor Demo in Kiel. It compiled correctly. It seemed to download ok and the board ran as normal. Then I tried a few other examples such as the remote control. This also compiled and downloaded ok. This also worked as normal. When I went back to reload the Sensor Demo, Keil couldn't find the board. I ended up using the BlueNRG utility and that allowed me to connect and erase the chip. Then Keil downloaded the SensorDemo again with no problem. However, the code doesnt work. All I get is a green LED lit. I cant even run the debugger, it never starts anywhere. If I go back to the remote control firmw
Hello,i need to know if you recommend to use the BALFLB-WL-08D3 at 433MHzI design my PCB with the STM32WL54CC, and it will operate between 433MHz and 435MHz. i want to know if the BALFLB-WL-08D3 is suitable for my application or if is better to design RF line with passive components. Thank you,Sincerely.
I am working with BlueNRG 2, and Tile both... I'm working in BlueNRG-1_2 DK 3.2.3. In the xx\BlueNRG-1_2 DK 3.2.3\Firmware\BLE_Examples\BLE_SerialPort\BlueNRG-2 folder, there is Server bin and hex files which work great. However, when I go to the C:\ST\BlueNRG-1_2 DK 3.2.3\Project\BLE_Examples\BLE_SerialPort\EWARM\BlueNRG-2 folder, there is only source code for the Client. I need the Server source/project files that were used to build the bin and hex.
I have initialized I2C on BlueNRG-248 as a master, and it is able to successfully transmit address and data to the slave, but is unable to receive data and acknowledgement from it. I monitored the lines on an oscilloscope, and confirmed that the slave is working fine and is responding with the correct data as well as acknowledgement. It would be really appreciable if someone could help me through this.Looking forward to hearing back soon.Warm regards,Abbas.
Posted on August 10, 2015 at 13:32I am performing some tests on the CSMA feature. Specifically on the non persistent CCA method. I have a test process whereby every 10s the transmitting module has its TX FIFO flushed, has its FIFO filled with 20 bytes of data, then the TX command (0x60) is issued. The transmission is basic packet protocol with fixed payload length of 20, GFSK1, 38.4k data rate, in the 868MHz band and I believe other related radio and protocol parameters are at least reasonably correct since the receiver is receving the packets just fine, although missing perhaps 10% at present (even at short range). Though this is something I have to figure out perhaps in terms of Quality acceptance filters, for the moment I also thought I'd try and test the CSMA feature on the transmitting unit. So I have enabled non persistent CSMA (register 0x51 = 0x05), I have set up some Tcca and Tlisten values and other CSMA parameters (register 0x67 = 0x25, 0x66 = 0x04), I have set CS_mode to b
Hello,I'm trying to find an example project where audio was streamed using the S2LP chipset, but I can only find Sigfox/LORA examples.Do you know of any off the shelf medium speed / real-time example using the S2LP IC? Our speed requirement is around 30kbit/s. Cheers!Chris
How can I know if my IC is TDA7293 or TDA7293V?
I have a product in which a STM32F417 (BGA) micro is attached to a LAN8720A (QFN) Phy using the RMII interface. It uses an external 50MHz oscillator going to the Phy and STM32.For testing newly assembled PCBs in mass production, is there a way to test the integrity of the TXD[0:1], TXEN, RXD[0:1], RXER & CRS_DV signals, i.e. die to die, without having to use an Ethernet stack? I'm thinking something low speed using the interface as GPIOs instead of full speed RMII.
Hi,When editing the GATT characteristic in the provided software for the SensorTile, I cannot increase the size of the payload being transmitted. Even after altering the charValueLen variable, this doesn't appear to affect the length of the packet being sent (In screenshots below edited to be increased to 40 Bytes instead of 8 Bytes): If there is another variable I'm missing to increase the packet length could somebody help me out? Thanks
Hello,I am using the BLUENRG-M2SA in my design. In the BLUENRG-M2 datasheet at https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/bluenrg-m2.pdf, it is stated that all GND pins must be grounded. However, in the BLE module integration design guidelines (DT0142) at https://www.st.com/resource/en/design_tip/dt0142-ble-module-integration-design-guidelines--stmicroelectronics.pdf, it is recommended to leave the top portion of the module overhanging the edge of the PCB, which will make it impossible to connect Pin 21 of the BLUENRG-M2SA to GND.I am really confused by the 2 contradictory statements in these documents. Which one should I follow:Connect Pin 21 to GND, which means that the module cannot overhang the edge of the PCB - or -Do not connect Pin 21 to GND and leave the module overhanging the edge of the PCBAny guidance would be appreciated.Thank you
Hello,I really like the NUCLEO-WL55JC platform as it provides many features for FSK which I am using, but when I checked the UM, I didn't find a way to wake Up the MCU by receiving a Frame. From my experience, there should be a mode different than RX, in which the Transceiver is in sleep and wakes Up and them force the wake Up of the MCU to handle the incoming frame. Is there a way to fulfil this requirement? Thanks,Ayoub
Hello,is it possible to enable/disable the "readout protection via SWD/JTAG mode for BlueNRG devices? Is it possible with openocd?BR Sebastian
Hello, I've been using the STEVAL-IDB008V1M to help develop an BLUENRG-M2 product for an company. I've noticed in the schematic there are 3pF capacitors connected to the ADC Input 1 and Input 2Does anyone know why this is done? For the time being I have linked across this. I'm using the ADC polling example code and for some reason I always read 1239mV even with no power source connected. My ADC Configuration is as follows:void ADC_Configuration(void) { SysCtrl_PeripheralClockCmd(CLOCK_PERIPH_ADC, ENABLE); /* Configure ADC */ /* Configure TEMPERATURE ADC */ xADC_InitType.ADC_OSR = ADC_OSR_200; //ADC_Input_BattSensor; //ADC_Input_TempSensor;// ADC_Input_AdcPin1 // ADC_Input_AdcPin12 // ADC_Input_AdcPin2 xADC_InitType.ADC_Input = ADC_Input_AdcPin1; xADC_InitType.ADC_ConversionMode = ADC_CONVERSION; xADC_InitType.ADC_ReferenceVoltage = ADC_ReferenceVoltage_0V6; xADC_InitType.ADC_Attenuation = ADC_Attenuation_9dB54;; ADC_Init(&xADC_InitType); /* Enable auto offset correcti

I am using BlueNRG M2 in a network co-processor mode and want to send 10 packets per second, each of 100 bytes. I have generated code through STM32CubeMX and changed the ATT_MTU value from 23 to 247 in the bluenrg1_gatt_server.h file, which was generated by STM32CubeMX.When I call the data length function with parameters hci_le_set_data_length(251, 2120), I receive a callback in hci_le_data_length_change_event with MaxTxOctets set to 27, which seems like packet fragmentation after sending data.I went through the DTM example and found the BlueNRG_Stack_Initialization function, which includes a parameter named MAX_ATT_MTU. However, this parameter is not available when using BlueNRG M2 in network co-processor mode. How can I send 100 bytes of data in a single packet in network co-processor mode?
Dear all, I'm just getting started using a BlueNRG-M2 module and a host STM32.Browsing through the documentation I've seen that chapter 3.2 of bluenrg-m2 datasheet mentions "Host-less mode (application processor): customer application runs on the BlueNRG-M2 module." this seems very interesting as no other microcontroller is needed. Unfortunately I don't see anywhere how to develop my application this way. Could someone point me in the right direction on how to get started? looking forward your replies, Best regards, Mauro.
Hi, I am experimenting with STEVAL-ID008V2 evaluation board and the DTM project from the SDK. It seems the DTM firmware using the external 32KHz clock for as the Low frequency clock source. Where about the source code of the DTM project I could set the low frequency clock source to use the internal RC only, as on my custom board I don't have a 32KHz external clock. Is it where I have pointed in the screenshot? Many thanks,

Hi,We want to use the S2-LP with embedded SMPS enabled. The recommended inductor value is 10uH.We need to lower the inductor value. I have read that it would be possible to reduce the inductor value to 2.2uF in the AN5246How to use SMPS to improve power efficiency on STM32WB MCUshttps://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/an5246-usage-of-smps-on-stm32wb-series-microcontrollers-stmicroelectronics.pdfWould this be valid also for the S2_LP transceiver?
Hi All,Some of the grander Evaluation/Discovery boards use an STM32L152 as a slave Multi Function eXpander with an I2C interface. It's pre-programmed with firmware that provides access to some of the peripherals on the board. As it happens, I'm about to develop the exact same thing. I'm an engineer, so I don't want to reinvent the wheel (especially since that wheel is a pretty good fit). However, it seems ST hasn't released the source code for the MFX. In fact, they barely describe the interface.Does anyone know if the MFX v3 is open source and where I could obtain it?CheersDavid
Help, anyone! What am I doing wrong??Below is the entirety of the skeleton code that I have written to add a GATT service to the basic sensortile.box. The issue I have is I only get two generic services:00001801-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb (Handle: 1): Generic Attribute Profile00001800-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb (Handle: 5): Generic Access ProfileI'm at a complete loss. I read the note about pushing the DTM_LLOnly.bin firmware to the SPBTLE-1S however when I put any firmware into the SPBTLE-1S module other than what is shipped with it, the BLE.begin() call fails. If I put the default firmware into the SPBTLE-1S module, then BLE gets initialized but the added custom services don't show up on any tools I use to inspect BLE devices (such as ST BLE Toolbox). As I said, I only get the two above generic services and I cannot seem to use either of those with read/write events to transfer data. I am really looking to just push a small string one way or the other between the sensortile.box and
