Posted on February 01, 2017 at 16:06Hi,I'm using a SPWF01SA1 module to send data from my application to a central server using POST requests.I need to transfer 64 kByte of binary data (application/octet-stream) using a single POST request as I want the destination server to receive a single transfer command which must be validated and confirmed back for correct reception.I've seen that the command AT+S.HTTPPOST has limitations on maximum length so I cannot use it.Then I've upgraded the firmware to version 3.5 to try command AT+S.HTTPREQ, build my own POST header and be able to send data after the command. In this way I've managed to send up to something less than 12 kByte. During transfer, the RTS signal is raised every 1024 byte so I inserted a pause to let the buffer flush. No matter how long I wait between the HTTPREQ command and the data (should I wait?) or between RTS signals (all of which stay deasserted for a fixed time of less than 3.5 ms and I've raised my pause time up to 1 s

Posted on January 30, 2017 at 16:55Hi,my modules are sometimes returning the IP address 192.168.0.50 since they already had another IP address from the access point. When they got the IP address 192.168.0.50, I can't connect to them via TCP anymore. Then I have to reset the device.Does anyone has this behavior, too? Or has an idea why the modules change it's IP address?Regards,Flow
Posted on June 12, 2016 at 03:37Hi,I am planning to use spwf01sa.11 module in my project. I couldn't find the baud rates of the UART interface to host microprocessor. What are the supported baud rates for UART? In addition, I want to know what is the effects of UART on the WiFi throughput? I mean I want to know how can I provide high data rate (e.g. 54 Mbps) over UART from host to spwf01sa.11 module? If the baud rate is low, I think it limits the WiFi throughput very drammatically. What should I do if I want to use high data rates over UART?Thanks,Gokhan #throughput #spwf01sa.11 #uart

Posted on January 30, 2017 at 09:30Good morning everyone!I am actually working on two different electronics we created (different layout) both embedding Blue-NRG MS (FW 7.2.c).These electronics are embedding the Blue-NRG and also a STM32L acting as host. The STM32L's are embedding the same FW, driving the BlueNRG). on both electronics the same configuration is applied: BlueNRG advertises and presents one service containing two characteristicsOn one of the two electronic model we see very strange behaviour regarding the way BlueNRG answers to the connection request of a USB Bluetooth dongle or any android mobile running typical Bluetooth app (nRG Connect)After successfull connexion between master and BlueNRG, master tries to detect the services. On the 'strange electronic' the BlueNRG answers its service list 8 seconds after the request has been sent from master.... on the 'normal' electronic it is almost immediate.Does anybody has experienced such a problem during development wit

Posted on January 06, 2017 at 09:59Hi Master G ;-),can you explain the error 'Init not performed (time-waited connections)'? I don't find anything about this in the documentation.I get the error when:1. Close the ports: AT+S.SOCKD=02. Do some web things: AT+S.SOCKON=example.com....3. Close the sockets... AT+S.SOCKC==004. Open the port again: AT+S.SOCKD=33000If I try to open the port some seconds later I don't get the error any more...Thx & Regards,Flow
Posted on January 18, 2017 at 11:08Hello,I have implemented a basic SPI communication with a SPIRIT2 radio. I'm trying to read a register from it, and since the ST didn't put the right figures in the datasheet, describing register read and write sequences, I had to look it up in the SPIRIT1 datasheet. Register is properly read the first time after power cycle and subsequent readings return wrong register content. Eventually MISO pin is held low and the radio stops responding.I have recorded the communication using the saleae logic analyzer and is in the attachment.Best regards#spirit2 #spi
Posted on January 17, 2017 at 16:08Hi there!Just getting started with a BlueNRG dev kit & was wondering if there's anything beyond the example project that can get you up and going with your own GATT specification.I'm thinking in terms of an app or module (extension in CubeMX) that lets you define a GATT & then produces code that you can add more specific application code to.Thanks for any replies!#bluetooth #bluenrg

Posted on January 06, 2017 at 12:37Hello ST,it seems that the escape_seq parameter does not work as expected in the IDW01M1.There are some discrepancies between the user manual and the obtained results. Please have a look at my transcript:12:16:15.761 [TX] - at+s.scfg=escape_seq,at+miao<CR>12:16:26.101 [RX] - OK+WIND:61:Incoming Socket Client:192.168.0.218+WIND:60:Now in Data Mode12:25:49.307 [TX] - at+miao12:25:49.807 [RX] - +WIND:59:Back to Command Mode12:26:05.899 [TX] - at+miao12:26:10.363 [TX] - at+miao<CR>12:26:10.595 [RX] - ERROR: Command not found12:26:13.700 [TX] - AT+S.<CR>12:26:13.703 [RX] - +WIND:60:Now in Data ModeSo, it seems that:1) escape_seq only changes the data->command sequence, but not the command->data2) when in command mode, you need to send a to activate the sequence, despite the fact that the manual states the opposite. Some more information:♯ nv_model = SPWF01SA1♯ nv_serial = 3915D31697♯ version = 160129-c5bf5ce-SPWF01SGiuseppe#x-nucleo
Posted on January 12, 2017 at 12:52Hi All,I would like to use BlueNRG as a FreeRTOS task. I use an IBD04A1 board with a Nucleo 401 board.Everything seems to be good, I copied the bluetooth handling codes into a task configured by CubeMX.The task initializes the board and the infinite loop contains onlyHCI_Process();User_Process(&axes_data);Bluetooth is working well (I can connect with an android phone), but no other task can run. When I put a osDelay(1) inside the loop, the bluetooth cannot works (cannot discover it, and no connection), but other tasks canot run too.If I call only the getBlueNRGVersion(&hwVersion, &fwVersion); beginning of the task and there is only an osDelay inside the taskloop, it damages the multitasking system. Maybe some dead lock happened?I can get any help where can I find the problem.thank youJack.#bluenrg #freertos

Posted on August 16, 2016 at 03:37Using BlueNRG 6.4b, I received an event that I think is Evt_Blue_Gatt_Procedure_Timeout (FF 05 02 0C 01 08 00). Document UM1755 says there should be 2 bytes after the event code but I'm seeing 3 on my SPI analyzer. Am I interpreting the event correctly?
Posted on January 07, 2017 at 08:54The function aci_gatt_update_char_value fails initially....and if fails there is while(1) loop...so system stuck here....what is issue ? after debugging it observed that function returns BLE_STATUS_TIMEOUT.....can you suggest solution for issue

Posted on January 09, 2017 at 03:55I am updating my application code to use the BLUENRG-MS device. When I receive EVT_BLUE_GAP_BOND_LOST, I need to know which connection this is referring to because this event can be received as Master or Slave but according to the definition in bluenrg_gap_aci.h, the event does not contain any parameter data. It would be helpful if it included the connection handle.#bluenrg-ms #bluenrg-pairing

Would appreciate pointers in correct direction.#bluenrg-gui #bluenrg-ms
