Posted on March 21, 2017 at 10:35Hi everyone ,For a project I need to make the FOTA work on an STM32L073RZ. I downloaded the package ' FP-SNS-MOTENV1' from ST and tested it on an L476RG with a IDB05A1 together with a IKS01A1, it worked perfectly, I was able to flash some code from the android app via Bluetooth. In the specs it is specified that this FOTA works on L4s and DOESN'T work on L053R8, but nothing is said about L073RZ.Does anyone already used FOTA on a L073RZ? Do you think it is possible to do so?have a good day ,Kind regardsRaphal#bluetooth #fota #ota #stm32l0 #stm32l4
Posted on February 04, 2016 at 23:02I have two SP1ML modules, transmitting 11 dBm. If they are really close (1 cm), the RSSI is around -30 dBm, when the distance is 1 m, the RSSI goes down to -90 dBm. It seems that these values are too low. Anyone can help?

Posted on March 19, 2017 at 00:30I'd drive an opto-isolator's LED directly from the logic output of ST3232CTR (VCC=5V). I'd set current with a serial resistor (Vcc - R - LED - 3232's output. Output=L to light the LED up). I checked 'DocID7454 Rev 12' and found fig.5 and 6 with Uo=f(IoL) graph for VCC=5.5 and 3V.As current is widely changes by the Vcc, I'm looking for a figure with multiple graphs for different supply voltages. Can anyone help?
Posted on March 18, 2017 at 20:32I am beginning to experiment with this part but something has me a bit stumped. The eval board says that the transmit filter is configured for a frequency of 150KHz with a sensitivity around 100KHz.However the receive filter is resonant at 80Khz.Is the eval expecting a master/slave arrangement with the master transmitting on 80Khz and slaves transmitting on 150Khz (or vice versa)?I don't see how the st7580 can be configured for dual frequencies, and it's not what I wanted anyway.Anyone have any explanation for this? The eval docs don't describe what frequency configuration the st7580 should actually be configured for.

Please could you confirm which of these is correct (I assume 0.1uF) and update the datasheet so the values agree?David

Is it made at software or hardware level? can't find anything on the internetRegardsRaphael#spbtle-rf #dc-dc-conversion #ble
Posted on March 16, 2017 at 11:01Hi, i'm working with the BlueNRG-MS evaluation board (x-nucleo-IDB05A1) together with an stm32L073RZ.I'm putting the module in advertising mode with the stm in stop mode. With an 20ms advertising period, i am measuring a 1,5A current (for the stm + BlueNRG), the estimation tool gives me 873A. I cannot figure out from where comes this big difference.Maybe it is due to the refresh period of my amp-meter, but anyway, it may not be able to diplay the peaks but it should display the average current given (i.e 873A).other thing: i am observing the RSSI on an android app, when i change the advertising period, i can see that the RSSI displayed is refreshed consequently to the modification i made. BUT, the bigger my period is, the bigger the consumption is. It should be the contrary.again it may have to do with my amp-meter refresh period, but i'm not sure since it should display the average consumption.can someone help me?Thanks by advance,Ra
Posted on March 13, 2017 at 11:43Hi guys,I'm using SPWF001 and wanted to write my parser since the host MCU is not STM32 (so I cant use the example). Simple question: If the module is in the middle of +WIND:xx:yyy, and I send an AT Command, is the current string is cut or the module will finish the string and will respond to AT Command. In other words, is this possible:<cr><lf>+WIND:xx:yyy<cr><lf>OK<cr><lf>yyyyyyy<cr><lf>or it will always be:<cr><lf>+WIND:xx:yyyyyyyyyy<cr><lf><cr><lf>OK<cr><lf>THANKS YOU#spwf01 #spwf01sa1
Posted on March 15, 2017 at 11:47Hello,I have a problem with the ISB027V1 Eval.Board. I have flashed and erased the Firmware and now I am looking for the File that is mentioned in the user guide WBC_FW_A11 .... but I cannot find it anywhere. Can someone please send it to me or advise me where I can find it.Best Regards, Feliks Hoxhallari
Posted on March 15, 2017 at 10:29Good afternoon~friends,it's my first time to be here.Thank you for taking time to read my post firstly. I hope I have chosen the right forum to put my troubles ! I need your help. Please give me some time to state my questions clearly.I would like to measure the current in a range of 200mA by using ACS712. ( the http://www.kynix.com/uploadfiles/pdf86758/ACS712ELCTR-20A-T.pdf)The output voltage of 200mA is about :2.5V(stable) +185*0.2A =2.5(stable) +37mV. Now I would like to decline 2.5V by opamp and use see-saw circuit to magnified '37V'200times,then adopt it by AD.Anybody have done it as me?Could you tell me if it's feasible? What degree can it arrive in the precise? All you help will be appreciated! Thanks a million in advance!
Posted on March 15, 2017 at 01:59BlueNRG-MS is said to be compliant with Bluetooth standard. However I observed big difference in performance depending on what device connects to BlueNRG-MS. This is how it looks like: iPhone can see the advertising, can connect, discover and read/write characteristics without any problemLaptop and desktop PC with CSR8510 USB BT work very good as well, on both Linux and Windows 10The same laptop without USB BT connected but using built in Intel BLE chipset has problems connecting to BlueNRG-MS, there are errors returned during connection, services discovery and data exchange, on both Linux and Windows 10Huawei P9 Lite can't be used at all. It sees other BLE devices like estimote, but has hard time seeing BlueNRG-MS advertising. Usually BlueNRG-MS is not visible, pops up for a while and disappears. When I try to connect the phone tries for some time and fails. At the same time iPhone has no problem seeing and connecting to BlueNRG-MSWhat can be the reas
Posted on March 10, 2017 at 16:19Hi,I wanted to try using the sub-GHz radio modules; what i currently have here are 2 evaluation boards: - A IDS001V5M (SPSGRF-915 module based) - A SP1ML868 (SP1ML-868 module based)Are they compatible? Can they even communicate between them, or the fact that they are tuned on different frequencies makes it impossible?I tried setting up a communication between the two using the SPIRIT1 DK application for the IDS001V5M and a serial terminal based setup for the SP1ML868. It seems to be possible to edit the base frequency using the SPIRIT1 DK application, but does that have any actual impact or are the modules internally tuned on their frequency and the variable that i'm modifying has basically no effect at all?Thank you#spsgrf #sp1ml
Posted on February 24, 2017 at 14:27Hi, I'm working on the module SPSGRF-868 (868Mhz) connected to a PIC24F; the datasheet state that the maximum datarate for FSK is 500Kbps, but after a lot of test I can reach only 100Kbps with frequency dev of 32Khz, channel cut off filter at 200Khz and modulation FSK; every comunication test with data rate greater then 100Kbps and different modulation and freq deviation end with no comunication at all.Is possible to achive a data rate of 250Kbps or more ?Thanks.#spirit1
Posted on February 23, 2017 at 13:00Hi ST,I am working with the BlueNRG-1 using STEVAL_IDB and i have few questions please:1- When i program some ST BLE via using Navigatorv2.3.0, the main code not the BLE stack, where it saved? in the main MCU or the NRG-1?2- I want to combine the NRG-1 with TI sub1-GHZ cc1310(Backward compatibility), so i have few questions in this area: 2.1 - Where the code that related to the BLE must run? on the cc1310 or NRG-1? 2.2 - Did it possible to configure and send commands to the NRG-1 via other MCU? if yes i would be happy if you share some example, reference ...3- Did there is some tool develop/debug with the BlueNRG-1 code example, and it's free?4- What is the best IDE that you recommended to work with the BlueNRG-1?Thanks.#bluenrg-1
Posted on May 17, 2016 at 05:24Hi, When the chip is initiated with GAP_INIT, it automatically creates a device name and appearance characteristics. Those are created with write properties, allowing anyone to rewrite the name of the device. I don't find any command that would allow to change the property to read only. Any help?
Posted on March 03, 2017 at 01:17I am getting an error when calling the stack initialization function but can not find an explanation of the return code in any of the ST documentation. The value I see is 0x0c.Thanks,Keith#bluenrg-1 #ble
Posted on February 13, 2017 at 19:28Hi,I'm experiencing stoppages with a STM32 connected to an BLUENGR.After set adverttising successfully, sometimes BLUENGR stops advertising. If I force a new aci_gap_set_discoverable, I get 0xff as response (when working normally, I get 0xc0 not_allowed).When I detect this condition (by sending aci_gap_set_discoverable() and check if 0xff) everything works again with a BlueNRG_RST().What does that 0xFF (Is not an error code for aci_gap_set_discoverable())?This issue is pointing to a hardware problem?Regards,#bluengr
Posted on March 03, 2017 at 23:47I have chip on which there's (probably) SP01 P511 (Picture attached). It was manufactured by ST. Probably it's W-MBUS module (or RF in general). I cannot find it anywhere. Do you have datasheet for it?#rf-receiver-transmitter

Posted on March 01, 2017 at 18:02Hello,I have some trouble trying to use SSI tags in custom html page. I can't manage to make it usable...Let me explain a bit:(All the following is hardcoded)First, I create a file :AT+S.FSC=/test.shtml,100\r?And put some content into :AT+S.FSA=/test.shtml,100\rFollowed by raw data :'<html>''<head><title>Input Demo</title></head>''<body>''<p>Input from Host: <!--&sharpinput--></p>''</body>''</html>'Until here, everything is all right. But if i load my page, the specified timeout (2s) is triggered and the content of the SSI tag is :WebServer currently busy. Please try again later.I understand that my SSI tag <!--input--> is never replaced because i never see any message on UART link before the end of the timeout; so i can't put any data over UART.In fact, i receive a complete +WIND56 message (I dump every byte received from uart rx int) when page loading has ended :+WIND:56
Posted on February 23, 2017 at 11:07 Hi, Using the SPWF01SA module, i managed to connect to all of the networks i found here, except one. I probably got the configuration wrong, but i can't find where's the error. To my knoweledge, the only difference this network has from the other networks (to which i can succesfuly connect) is that it gives out ips in the 0.x range, instead of the usual 0.x one. I tried disabling the dhcp and assigning the gateway ip and dns ip manually, also setting a static ip (i used 50 or something like that), to no avail. I should also mention that both my laptop and phone can connect to this network without problem. Here's the configuration i am using: # Dumping All Configuration Keys: # nv_manuf = ST # nv_model = SPWF01SA1 # nv_serial = 3514D04763 # nv_wifi_macaddr = 00:80:E1:B4:7D:1F # blink_led = 0 # wind_off_low = 0x00000000 # wind_off_medium = 0x00000000 # wind_off_high = 0x00000000 # user_desc = anonymous # escape_seq = at+s. # localecho1 = 0 # con
