Sometimes (often  ), the OP disappears without marking a solution - even when it is obvious that a solution was found. In this case, I sometimes see that ST Staff will mark the solution. This seems fine to me, but I think it would be good to distinguish when this has happened.eg, here:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/what-is-the-smallest-achievable-delay-in-microseconds-for-a-16/m-p/684830#M251961The notification tells me this was marked by ST (@mƎALLEm ) - not the OP:But there's nothing to show that in the thread itself. On the TI forums, they do separately identify, "TI marked this as the solution"
After some period of approximately 2 years my login is rejected as having incorrect username or password. Careful reentry is not successful, I keep getting the same rejection. I conclude that passwords expire after some time.If that is true, why not a message " Your password has expired. Please create a new password" to avoid fruitless attempts to reenter the password that worked the day before?Or correct me if I have the wrong assessment of the problem.
For example here:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/timer-compare-output-using-dma-stm32f3discovery/td-p/672897there are two code blocks with "View more",buttons. When "View more" on the first code block is clicked, both code blocks are expaneded. However, the "View more" at the second code block remains, and if clicked, nothing happens just that "View more" button disappears.I don't think this is the expected behaviour.JW
The ST community site is often extremely slow, even time outs occur . You access a few pages fine and then it takes a minute or more , time out or error occur.Often trying to Edit a port, it often fails with an error message. Accessing other website is no problem at all.
I'm reading the interesting posts in the Knowledge base, and wonder, why every article title has to be repeated as the first paragraph? I know this is no paper and internet is cheap. My neurons aren't! Doesn't bother anyone this *** redundancy?! :dizzy_face:The maintainers of this otherwise great site, don't need to do much: just delete some line of code somewhere... I hope it's not done on purpose, just to alienate the readers. :|
Also broken in the '@' lookups:Except, perhaps, Ascha.3:
In the STM32 ODE Function Packs page, the links to networking and security return an 404 error.
I've complained about this before, and got nowhere. It's still completely unworkable. When can we light a fire under the developers to get this addressed? Showing FIVE potential matches might work in a system with SIX users, it is not viable in one with over SIXTY THOUSAND.https://community.st.com/t5/feedback-forum/having-quot-fun-quot-with-khoros-editor-failures/m-p/594201/highlight/true#M518
Clicking on notification opens the thread so that the last message is displayed. It would be much more useful if it would open on the first unread message.JW
Problem:There are a significant amount of threads where code is pasted as plaintext a thread. As an example, this one, where the user clearly searched for a way to format it as code but couldn't find how:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/failing-to-read-useful-data-from-adc-of-stm32f411/td-p/631535The underlying issue is that formatting a code block is hidden behind the "..." in the editor. This is despite having more than enough room to accommodate such an important feature.Suggesting:Consider promoting the code formatting to the main toolbar and relegating the following near-useless features to the "..." abyss:Spoiler tags. (Why is this a thing at all?)Insert video.Change font.Change font size.Chang text color.Run macro. (What even is this?)
FYII did not login to myST for a while and now I cannot login to myST anymore. I try a lot of time but always stuck at login page even I press login button. Until I try to press reset password button and change my password to the new. So now I come back to able to access myST account !!!No idea why this happen to me. It took me in suffering for a few day since any support require to login first LOL.
Hi,is there a limit to max 5 PM messages or whats wrong here ?After 4 PM a limit is here ? Never write again ? or?and then comes HERE :Perfect !
I prepare a longer posting with many windows switching to check thing. When trying to post, some authentification prroblem window popped up and I see no way to recover the prepared post. I am not happy with that . Argh!
.... so users can find the wiki easier. Will the Knowledge base section migrate to the wiki eventually?
"3 (sic) REPLIES":Looks like only two to me!https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/configuring-uart-on-stm32f103c8t6-bluepill-kills-connection-to/td-p/668631
On a "small", but still rather large window, the ST startpage is broken again.
If I have the following code snippet: @Echo OFF And I edit my post it changes to: OFF In addition after edition the post it will add extra new lines around the snippet for each edit.Syntax highlighting is good, but I'm missing a plain text option in case the language is not listed.
Was a thread yesterday about STM32H723 and Winbond W25Q128 seems to disappeared from general visibility.I think there's were two spam posts against it, which I had flagged for deletion, but as I say now I can't see the thread, or the posts / alerts related to it.#MandelaEffect
See:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubeide-mcus/i2c/m-p/665214/highlight/true#M26550
In this thread:2nd post by @andy_long (between my 1st and 2nd post) is missing. Note, that in my 2nd post I am quoting from that missing post (> This is only reproducible if it is run continuously for an hour. and > Meanwhile, could you please answer the first part of the question ?)I don't remember seing post by @Luke_abc there (whatever's the reason it's empty now), but I may have missed that one.I don't like posts and whole threads disappearing, at all.Is this misguided work of moderators? Or are these the fist signs of the Khoros shebang starting to go down?JW
https://community.st.com/t5/badges/userbadgespage/user-id/33131/page/1Basically Gamification Failure, nothing above 50/100 levels
Notifications say that @Amel NASRI replied to this thread: yet I can't see her reply there: If there are replies hidden to users, they should not be reflected in Notifications.JW
Not a big fan of the new metrics / scoring methods, but that's probably a whole other discussion. Also don't see the online stats on the top/front page, swear I only see user/online counts when not logged in..
I was typing a reply to a post, when suddenly the following red message appeared (before taking the screenshot, I erased the relatively short text I had already typed there):After reloading, the thread had a post from other user, which was not there previously. However, I've encountered previously that threads I was commenting on had seen comments from other users meantime. Also, the text of that message nor its appearance (red = something went very wrong) does not reflect this event.JW
For example:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubeprogrammer-mcus/stm32-cube-programmer/m-p/660800/highlight/true#M6204 I wanted to post the picture of the NUCLEO-F446RE from the ST Product Page. So I right-clicked the image on that page, and chose 'Copy Image':Then went back to the forum, and pasted into the composition window - and got the error shown (there's multiple errors because I retried a few times).I even tried opening the image in a separate tab, and copying from that:https://www.st.com/bin/ecommerce/api/image.PF262063.en.feature-description-include-personalized-no-cpn-medium.jpg Same error. The workaround was to copy into my image editor, then immediately copy again from there, and paste into the post. This has been happening increasingly lately.
