Please forward this message to the MCU development team.The ST Microelectronics MCUs still use old school techniques and supports the coin-type polyacene capacitor battery and external crystal oscillators, despite advancements in semiconductor designs. Practically, extremal crystal oscillators are no more used and on-chip high performance and relatively cheap oscillators have replaced such an approach! Additionally, super capacitor backup power is no more used in advanced designs and memory cells can still retain the charge using more advanced techniques!I am not here to explain all such advanced circuit design techniques but would like to point out the out dated conventional methods still used by ST Microelectronics!   

I kept coming back to this website to download the STM32 Cube IDE and the servers would always be down once I tried to log in and download it.I've noticed some forums from 2019 mentioning similar problems with how slow the website is responding, so it's great to see that this website is still suffering from network maintenance and bad optimization...Seriously, what is wrong with this website ?? literally had to wait a few days to download the IDE, and now I'm trying to download the STM32CubeMX and this website still pends forever... I can click on buttons and functionalities, but this slow website is always unresponsive when it comes to downloading stuff

Searching for "module" includes hits for "modulation" :face_with_rolling_eyes: :frowning_face: :thumbs_down: Sure, it can be useful to have "fuzzy" searches like this when you're not quite sure of the term you need - but there really needs to be a way to limit searches to just the exact term entered.Basic search options:Any combination of 1 or more of the words enteredAny combination of all of the words enteredOnly the exact phrase entered

If A asks a question and B replies. If B subsequently returns to edit her reply the prompt she gets above the edit box is "Edit your reply to B". Which is wrong, it should be "Edit your reply to A". More simply, why not just have it say "Edit your reply" and be done with it?

He wouldn't be this sloppy when posting, but it's not his fault.Whenever someone inserts a "Code" block, in order to get syntax highlighting. Any subsequent edit of the post adds an extra blank line above and below the block. It doesn't matter if you erase them when you edit. They can only grow,like the mythical hydra. The only solution is to remove the code nlock entirely, delete all the blank lines and save the post. Then edit it again, and re-insert the code-block. Then, you must never-ever-ever edit that post again, or you'll have to go through it all over. Come on ST. 2024. AI. 32TOPS in every phone within 5 years. Can we fix the editor please???

When you subscribe to a thread with multiple participants and a single participant adds a reply, you get a notification.But the title of the notification includes the name of everyone in the thread who have commented so far ("A and B replied to topic", "X and 2 others have replied", etc') rather than the most recent post which triggered the notification. If there have been multiple comments since you last visited the thread, it's fine to "roll-up" all the comments into a single notification, but if there's only been one comment it's less useful. You might as well just write "a new comment was added to the thread", without naming anyone. This behavior doesn't occur in "Recent notifications" - it just tells you who posted like it should. This looks like a (small) bug to me.

After some period of approximately 2 years my login is rejected as having incorrect username or password. Careful reentry is not successful, I keep getting the same rejection. I conclude that passwords expire after some time.If that is true, why not a message " Your password has expired. Please create a new password" to avoid fruitless attempts to reenter the password that worked the day before?Or correct me if I have the wrong assessment of the problem.

The ST community site is often extremely slow, even time outs occur . You access a few pages fine and then it takes a minute or more , time out or error occur.Often trying to Edit a port, it often fails with an error message. Accessing other website is no problem at all. 

I'm reading the interesting posts in the Knowledge base, and wonder, why every article title has to be repeated as the first paragraph? I know this is no paper and internet is cheap. My neurons aren't! Doesn't bother anyone this *** redundancy?! :dizzy_face:The maintainers of this otherwise great site, don't need to do much: just delete some line of code somewhere... I hope it's not done on purpose, just to alienate the readers. :|

I've complained about this before, and got nowhere. It's still completely unworkable. When can we light a fire under the developers to get this addressed? Clicking on notification opens the thread so that the last message is displayed. It would be much more useful if it would open on the first unread message.JW

Problem:There are a significant amount of threads where code is pasted as plaintext a thread. FYII did not login to myST for a while and now I cannot login to myST anymore. I try a lot of time but always stuck at login page even I press login button. Until I try to press reset password button and change my password to the new. So now I come back to able to access myST account !!!No idea why this happen to me. It took me in suffering for a few day since any support require to login first LOL.
