The forum allows .z, .7z, but does not allow .zip attachments.Please fix.JW

It looks very unprofessional for a company forum to be overrun by spam to this level. Here was the front page this morning:Have also flagged quite a few posts in the past few days.Perhaps new users bots shouldn't be allowed to create 18 new posts in the first 5 hours they join?Not really here to fix the problem, but given the level of spam, seems like first time posters should be manually "approved" prior to them showing up. Would solve almost all spam issues from new accounts.

I'm trying to post a question but keep getting the following error:"Correct the highlighted errors and try again.""Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied."There is no HTML in the message and no other highlights that I see. But when I click "Post", i get the same message over and over.  I've tried deleting the code I pasted in, but still get the same problem. 

1. I know that html is the underlying format to the posts, but other users may not be aware of it, so the formulation is confusing for them.2. more importantly; what invalid HTML was found? I did not use the HTML edit mode in that post. I might've typed in something which offended the checker, but it should've pointed out exactly what, and not just removed something without my knowledge and consent.How hard it may be to understand that POSTS ARE NOT TO BE MUTILATED!!! (even if it may sound as innocent as removing noses from hand-written smileys).JW

Hello, st.com on my system does no longer show the "three bars" menu to access e.g. "products. Hava a look at appended screenshot. 

Good afternoon.I'm not sure this is the place to post this but here's the issue.  As of today, 9/13/2024, when I go to the st.com website I get an endless barrage of ST adverts that can't be stopped or bypassed.  I never get to the login panel, there's no search options and I don't know how long or how many ST pages will be displayed before the site releases the page to get something done.  How do I stop the page so I can get somewhere else in the st.com domain.  I'm unable to search, download, or log in. TJM

Same symptom as already reported by so many people.After clicked thru all legalese stuff and logged in - downloads won't start.Instead there's the spinning thing, it just spins endlessly. No error messages. Browser: Edge on windows 11, all updated.Suspicious point: after log in, my name is missing. As if the log in has no effect.

When editing a post, the strikethru (like this) style is missing. I clicked the area where the "..." should be to be sure there is no button. This is definitely a new bug. I could edit posts with strikethru before. Have noticed it a few times lately. Tried reloading the page. Nothing. Came back 15 minutes later and it shows up again. Re-looking at this screenshot of the issue that I took, maybe I should have clicked the "back" icon on the left? I don't know what that would do. It's there when creating a post: But it only happens sometimes. On other posts, it's clearly visible:

Please forward vote against forced forum password resets due to expiration. It’s very old school security model.

1. It's useless.As it's not curated, the vast majority of links is entirely irrelevant to given post. Machines are too ***, even if you call it AI.2. It's harmful.It provides false keywords for external search machines such as google, making it harder to find genuine content.3. given 1, and 2, it's just pure waste of bandwidth.JW 

Please forward this message to the MCU development team.The ST Microelectronics MCUs still use old school techniques and supports the coin-type polyacene capacitor battery and external crystal oscillators, despite advancements in semiconductor designs. Practically, extremal crystal oscillators are no more used and on-chip high performance and relatively cheap oscillators have replaced such an approach! Additionally, super capacitor backup power is no more used in advanced designs and memory cells can still retain the charge using more advanced techniques!I am not here to explain all such advanced circuit design techniques but would like to point out the out dated conventional methods still used by ST Microelectronics!   

I kept coming back to this website to download the STM32 Cube IDE and the servers would always be down once I tried to log in and download it.I've noticed some forums from 2019 mentioning similar problems with how slow the website is responding, so it's great to see that this website is still suffering from network maintenance and bad optimization...Seriously, what is wrong with this website ?? literally had to wait a few days to download the IDE, and now I'm trying to download the STM32CubeMX and this website still pends forever... I can click on buttons and functionalities, but this slow website is always unresponsive when it comes to downloading stuff
