How to implement Augmented NDEF for ST25TV512C / 02KC?

Hello,

we would like to use the digital signature with truST25 Technology to verify the authenticity of NFC tags. In our physical devices with an NFC reader we will use the embedded library to verify the digital signature.

We also have an iOS and Android app that should verify the signature. When the app is opened it shouldn't be a problem as it can read the tag directly.

However, we also have a use case where we want to open our apps through a deeplink right after a user taps on the tag written into the NFC Tag (standard behavior, but we cannot verify the signature). It looks like this: https://app.example.com/tag/ID

At slides 15 - 19 it shows how the augmented NDEF feature can be used to verify the signature.

Is it possible to have more information on how to implement such feature?

Would it be suitable for our use case?

We need the tags to be unique, can't the verification process be exploited in case of copy pasting such URI in a new tag?

Hello,

The instructions to display a digital signature field with the augmented NDEF feature on the ST25TV02KC can be found in document AN5580 (TruST25 digital signature for ST25TV512C and ST25TV02KC devices).

Note that this feature is not available on the ST25TV512C.
