# How to use the device tree generated by CubeMX to generate images and add a serial port to MP135My hardware platform is MP135, and now I want to add a serial port UART8 to it, so I plan to modify the device tree. But I encountered some issues while using the SDK.According to the official 'how to do. txt', I compiled u-boot and generated the following content in the deploy folder:```bash~/workspace/STM32/stm32mp1-openstlinux-6.1-yocto-mickledore-mp1-v23.06.21/sources/arm-ostl-linux-gnueabi/u-boot-stm32mp-v2022.10-stm32mp-r1-r0/deploy$ lsdebug u-boot-stm32mp157c-ed1.dtbu-boot-nodtb-stm32mp13.bin u-boot-stm32mp157c-ev1.dtbu-boot-nodtb-stm32mp15.bin u-boot-stm32mp157d-dk1.dtbu-boot-stm32mp135f-dk.dtb u-boot-stm32mp157d-ev1.dtbu-boot-stm32mp157a-dk1.dtb u-boot-stm32mp157f-dk2.dtbu-boot-stm32mp157a-ev1.dtb u-boot-stm32mp157f-ed1.dtbu-boot-stm32mp157c-dk2.dtb u-boot-stm32m

Hello We are planning to work on STM32MP2x processors in our custom design boards. We tried with latest version of CUBEMX for pinmux but it's not available. So, we would like to know when we can expect the pinmux support for STM32MP2x processors. Thank you in advance.regardssrikanth

According to different STM32MP1 documentation such as STM32MP1-Peripheral-USB_Host_interface_USBH or STM32MP1-Peripheral-USB-On-The-Go-Full-and-HighSpeed-interface presentation there is two USB phy, one dual port HS phy and one single port FS phy. In my understanding I should be able to enable 3 USB host port, two HS and one FS. I am using the STM32CubeMX tool but I am unable to enable such 3 ports. I am able to enable two HS port but I am unable to enable OTG port. If I disable one HS port I am able to enable OTG port. So it seems STM32CubeMX allows to enable only two ports at the same time. Is this an issue of STM32CubeMX or it's a real limitation of the chip ? Note, I have tried with different package with the same results Many thanks in advance for any help
IOC UI is changed this UI.I want to use another UI.Could you help me? plz
Hi,i'm trying to follow this guide for my STM32MP157D-DK1: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP157x-DK2/Let%27s_start/Populate_the_target_and_boot_the_image When try to download the Starter package from https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32mp1starter.html#get-software the "latest version" i get is ¨en.FLASH-stm32mp1-openstlinux-4.19-thud-mp1-19-02-20.tar.xz", while according to the guide it should be "en.flash-stm32mp1-openstlinux-6.1-yocto-mickledore-mp1-v23.06.21.tar.gz". In the older package there is no tsv file for the STM32MP157D. Kind regards
HelloI use https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/meta-st-stm32mp with the stm32mp15-disco machine. It boots fine, I can access the shell via USB-UART. STM32CubeIDE 1.15.1 was released on st.com as well as an in-tool update patch aligned with STM32CubeMX v6.11.1 that is available for download. Main issues fixed in this patch: Ticket 177978 : Fixed an issue with ST-LINK firmware upgrade concerning the boards with DFU v2 or older in the version 3.14.5 of ST-LINK GDB server. Ticket 178127 : Fixed an issue with the build settings: The build settings do not save the latest linker modified by the user and select the default linker instead. Check the errata under this link for more details. Where do I obtain STM32CubeIDE 1.15.1? For IDE 1.15.1: STM32CubeIDE - Integrated Development Environment for STM32 - STMicroelectronics Or update your current installation of STM32CubeIDE using: Help > Check for updates.
Hi everyone,i am creating a custom machine on a STM32MP151CAA3T using mickledore as yocto layer.when i flash my image, the falshing stops on the first partition, when uses tf-a-usb.stm32 file. What is this file, how is generated and how i customize it in order to have no more this error during flashing? Thanks.
I'm not good at english I tried using stm32cube programmer uart mode.but "Error: Activating device: KO. Please, verify the boot mode configuration and check the serial port configuration. Reset your device then try again..." returned I'm using stm32mp135 custom board, so i read stm32mp135 datasheet and found this part I'm worried about USART3/6 and UART4/5/7/8 on "default pins"I use uart4, but use another pin set.uart4_TX -> PA9uart4_RX -> PD8 Is the error related to this part?
DearsI would like to create new project from STM32Cube_FW_MP13_V1.0.0 - based on template "BSP_BasicTemplates"I verified Properties for this project under "Paths and Symbols" - Includes, Libraries, Source ... all looks normal as another project from Application subfolderBut compilation stop on error make -j12 all make: *** No rule to make target 'C:/Users/Drivers/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32MP13xx/Source/Templates/gcc/startup_stm32mp135c_ca7.c', needed by 'Example/STM32CubeIDE/startup_stm32mp135c_ca7.o'. Stop."make -j12 all" terminated with exit code 2. Build might be incomplete.Where could be problem ? I hope that templates should have all properly configured... Best RegardsRadim
Hello We are using STM32CUBE ide (Ver 1.9.0) for debugging of stm32mp157a cortex-m4 core by using j-link programmer. In this, while entered into debug every time we need to select stm32mp157a cortex-m4 in j-link target settings. So, any option is available for store this j-link configuration. It May help and save the time.regardssrikanth
Hello, following this wiki article I'm trying to debug the sample user space application, but getting this error:It seems, I have a working serial and SSH connection to the target but the Target Status widget always shows 'Serial console in use':My Debug configuration looks similar to the wiki article: I appreciate any help!
I am using STM32CubeIDE v1.4.2 and experiencing issues with editing IOC files. I am using Ubuntu 18.04.05 as recommended by ST. Often when when I am using the integrated Cube MX editor I experience 100% CPU load and the IDE locks up. I have tried increasing the Java heap size to 4MB. 3 years ago I did a project using the separate Cube MX program and had no issues with it but since ST integrated it into the IDE it seems pretty much unusable. Does anyone have any ideas how to make this software operable?

Hello, Using Windows 10 with WSL 2.I have an STM32MP157D-DK1 board and am following the ST guides to get this running. I'm trying to run bitbake to build a basic distribution image, but I keep getting this error. I tried googling but can't find anything relevant. This feels like a i setup something wrong issue ... but I went over the steps I'm supposed to follow and I can't see what I missed. when I wanted to debug mp157-m4 through linux core,I got a failed returnthe reason why it failed was the fw_cortex_m4.sh script had no excutive permissionI tried chmod +x for getting permission, but the next time I clicked the debug btn and I found it was covered by the original one.Any method to solve this problem?
I could not download the STM32MP starter package. The login and download page simply cycle and the download does not happen. Wondering if anyone else encountered this issue.
