Hello, my aim is to achieve a reliable receiving UDP speed with stm32mp13 while sending a payload of 150 mbit/s.I did performance tests of 1 gigabit Ethernet using a MYD-YF13X development board and iperf3. Here are some of my results:19% packet drop rate at 150 mbit/s is, for my purpose, unacceptable. I think the problem is related to either the MPU or the YT8521SH Ethernet PHY.But I doubt it is the second one, so I would focus on the MPU itself. It seems to me that the MPU is not fast enough to achieve a sensible >100 mbit/s receiving speed.The architecture is arm 32bit, which has 32KB cache memory inclusive.The amount of cache is decisive for receiving huge payloads. Could it be the reason for such a performance? What was the reason to put 100 mbit PHYs and not 1 gbit into the STM32MP135F-DK? Best,J. Schneider
Hi,I have STM32MP157f-DK2 . I built openstlinux-5.15-yocto-kirkstone-mp1-v22.07.27 , distro=openstlinux-eglfs , and I try flash image to sd card.When I am flashing "FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157f-dk2-trusted.tsv" I have different errors related with partitioning ..., but when I am flashing "FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157c-dk2-trusted.tsv", the board works....What can be wrong ?

Hello, I am looking for a MPU as CAN FD master but couldn't find the type with explicit CAN FD support. I would inquire here to make sure I haven't missed any details, and also ask for more information about the availability of the high performance chip with CAN FD interface. Thank you!
I try to build a rpmsg sample app by following this instruction : https://docs.zephyrproject.org/latest/samples/subsys/ipc/rpmsg_service/README.htmlThe example repository here: https://github.com/zephyrproject-rtos/zephyr/tree/main/samples/subsys/ipc/rpmsg_serviceIt seems that the device tree overlay is missing for STM32MP157F-DK2, so I create one/ { chosen { /* * shared memory reserved for the inter-processor communication */ zephyr,ipc_shm = &mcuram2; zephyr,ipc = &mailbox; }; mcuram2: mcuram2@10000000 { compatible = "mmio-sram"; reg = <0x10000000 0x40000>; };It is not working, please advice if the device tree is correct or not? and Is there any relation with Linux device tree? thanks
Hi,When testing the stm32mp2-openstlinux-6.6-yocto-scarthgap-mpu-v24.12.05 image, the LVDS screen doesn't work and blocks the board's startup (in u-boot) and I can't reset the board unless I disconnect the LVDS port.On the other hand, the HDMI is functional, and the screen works without any problem on my STM32MP257F-EV1 board.Note that the board is powered via a USB port capable of delivering up to 1.5A.Thank you
Hello,I am encountering an issue while building a Yocto-based image for the STM32MP157F-DK2. The problem arises when attempting to fetch the gcnano-userland-multi-binary-stm32mp package. Below are the details of the issue: Project DetailsYocto Version: Dunfell (OpenSTLinux 5.10-dunfell-mp1-23-11-01)Target Machine: STM32MP157F-DK2Recipe Name: gcnano-userland-multi-binary-stm32mpSoftware Version: gcnano 6.4.3Issue DescriptionThe fetch operation fails due to a missing source file. Specifically:http://downloads.yoctoproject.org/mirror/sources/git2_github.com.STMicroelectronics.gcnano-binaries.tar.gzHowever, this file is unavailable, and the fetch results in a 404 error.Here is an excerpt from the build logs:http://downloads.yoctoproject.org/mirror/sources/git2_github.com.STMicroelectronics.gcnano-binaries.tar.gzResolving downloads.yoctoproject.org (downloads.yoctoproject.org)... 2a01:4f9:3070:3985::2, 37.27.135.249Connecting to downloads.yoctoproject.org (downloads.yoctoproject.org)|2
I try to study embedded linux with stm32mp157f-dk2 boardI got download my image on my board and make dts from stm32cubeide's default board settingAnd i compile that in my source's dts folder modified Make file and checked dtb output with decompileIt works with added pwm from cubemx but not working touchSo CONFIG_TOUCHSCREEN_EDT_FT5X06 is being yes in my .configAnd it works in default starter pacakge's dtb but I changed just dtb with my pwm addedso if i echo 0-0038 bind to edt-ft5x06 with my pwm dtb, it works butI wonder why this builtin module not work with rebootThanks
Dear Sir/Madam,Thank you for reading my message. I have a newly bought STM32MP157F-DK2 but it doesn't boot the Bootlin's pre-build Linux kernel image. Its screen showed nothing (no boot messages, cursor, etc, as shown in the attached picture). I received the kernel image from bootlin's "buildroot-external-st" repo on github. Has anyone faced the same issue like mine above?Thank you. Regards,ZS Lee
Here's the translation of your request:"I was following the instructions on '6. Building the OpenSTLinux distribution' from the ST wiki (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MPU_Distribution_Package), but encountered an error, so I couldn't proceed. Could anyone advise on how to resolve this issue?"If you provide more details about the error you're encountering, I can help you troubleshoot more specifically.
The STM32MP151 Reference manual says "For more information refer to Boot ROMapplication note.". But I can't find any application note that talks about Boot ROM. Please help to find this information.Thanks.
Hello everyone,I am planning to build an embedded project using a System on Module (SoM), and I am looking for a SoM board that supports bare-metal programming. Could you please help me find the best SoM board suitable for this purpose?
I've been following the STM32MP15 Discovery kits - Starter Package tutorial to set up my STM32MP157D-DK1 board and am having trouble flashing the SD card via the CubeProgrammer CLI. It successfully loads partitions 0x01, 0x03, then the board disconnects and the flash fails. Here's screenshots of the CLI output as well as a picture of the board:Additional info:My PC is running Windows 10LD6 (red LED between USER1 and USER2 buttons) flashes rapidly after disconnectLD8 (blue LED left of micro-USB port) is lit after disconnectHere's the troubleshooting I've done so far:Resetting the board before it times out results in the flash operation restarting from the beginning and failing in the same wayUsing device manager to scan for hardware changes after disconnect does nothingUSB driver switched to libusbK via ZadigFormatted the SD card to wipe previous partitionsUsed different cords and USB portsAttempted to flash from other .tsv files (tutorial calls for FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp1
Hi STM Community !!We use the STM32MP1 on our board.We use the gpio feature for an IRQ in our system.We use it in a kernel module.With the Ecosystem v5, it worked perfectly, but we used#define PIN_FPGA_INTA (16 + 10)static struct gpio gpio_irq_pps = {PIN_FPGA_INTA, GPIOF_IN, "IRQ PPS FPGA"};...if (gpio_request_one(gpio_irq_pps.gpio, gpio_irq_pps.flags, gpio_irq_pps.label)) {printk("Fail of gpio_request for PPS_INT(B10 pin) :( \n");}irq_num_pps = gpio_to_irq(gpio_irq_pps.gpio);if (irq_num_pps < 0) {printk("Fail to use GPIO B10 as PPS Interrupt :( \n");gpio_free(PIN_FPGA_INTA);}// set interrupt for PPSret = request_irq(irq_num_pps, pps_irq_handler, IRQF_TRIGGER_FALLING, "pnt_fpga_int_a", NULL);if (ret != 0) {printk("Interrupt Request Failed for INT_PPS: %d\n", ret);gpio_free(PIN_FPGA_INTA);} elseprintk("Interrupt PPS OK\n");...Now, in the Ecosystem v6, we need to move to new gpiod kernel functions, because gpio_* functions are deprecated.So, in the DTS In the DTS we have :/ {...my_gpi
The Static IP settings of my computer are as follows As follows, My computer can ping itself Then the Static IP (/lib/systemd/network/52-static.network) of my STM32MP135F-DK is set as follows As follows, My STM32MP135F-DK also can ping itself Why can't my computer ping STM32MP135F-DK? This is my comouter ip route, Why can’t I see the ip route of STM32MP135F-DK? Is there any mistake in setting the Static IP above? Or am I missing some settings? How can I solve this problem?

I am trying to get started on Linux kernel development on STM32MP157F-DK2 board. Thus far I have been able to,1. Flash the started package and get Linux booting successfully2. Download the developer package, add extra logs and update the linux kernel on the boardI am trying to get started on kernel drivers and was not able to find linux headers in the sdk include path. I am getting linux/init.h as not found.I tried to update the include path by adding the headers from the linux source code from the developer package but am facing a lot of include errors. I tried looking for a way to download the linux headers for the openst linux image online but wasn't able to find any so far.I have the following queries,1. Can someone provide a way to download the linux headers for cross compilation?2. If possible can someone share a simple wiki/example of a custom kernel module/driver on the openstlinux.Thanks in advance.
I follow the instruction in this git repository to build an openWRT image for STM32MP157F-DK2. I use the branch master with latest commit too.https://github.com/bootlin/openwrt-feed-stBy default the Remote core and RPMSG is not enable, so I try to enable it.1. I enable Linux configuration as below:CONFIG_REMOTEPROC=yCONFIG_REMOTEPROC_CDEV=yCONFIG_REMOTEPROC_SRM_CORE=yCONFIG_REMOTEPROC_SRM_DEV=yCONFIG_TEE_REMOTEPROC=yCONFIG_STM32_RPROC=yCONFIG_RPMSG=yCONFIG_RPMSG_CHAR=yCONFIG_RPMSG_CTRL=yCONFIG_RPMSG_NS=yCONFIG_RPMSG_TTY=yCONFIG_RPMSG_VIRTIO=yCONFIG_STM32_IPCC=y2. I checked the device tree, it looks ok.I got an error that the driver could not work as below after booting the image.[16.481009] platform 10000000.m4: deferred probe pendingThe remote core is not enable. What wrong with my configuration or this feature is not supported? My hardware is STM32MP157F-DK2.Thanks

Hey in stm32mp1 Im learning about yocto and build root ... So should the micro sd be flashed in the starting , or only the sd.img generated after the generation of the linux image ? for using it ? (Im a complete newbie to this..)
Hi everyone, I made it past the bootloader stages but am now running into errors with starting the Linux kernel. I have an eMMC and SD card but I am trying to only use the SD card for now. I have completely removed the eMMC from device tree and removed the machine.conf settings so eMMC should not be used. When I get to the Linux kernel boot I get stuck at: [ 5.630620] Waiting for root device PARTUUID=e91c4e10-16e6-4c0e-bd0e-77becf4a3582...
