Hi,I am executing echo_tty_echo example and trying to get the messages coming from m4 inside qt program as follows: QString line; QStringList list1; char buff[100]; while (1) { QProcess::execute("echo hello > /dev/ttyRPMSG0"); QFile armIpcReadMsg("/dev/ttyRPMSG0"); if(armIpcReadMsg.exists()) { if(armIpcReadMsg.open(QIODevice::ReadOnly | QIODevice::Unbuffered) { armIpcReadMsg.read(buff,100); line = QString::fromLatin1(buff);
I want to change resolution of display in ev kit but don't know how to do.Should I change the default struct values in panel-raydium-rm68200.c or is there another method? Also, I'd like to rotate the screen of TFT so it will be wide screen TFT, is it possible? (For in compile time not run time)Finally, need to add a custom TFT instead of this. Which parameters do I need to add a new one?
Hello.I've created basic image with FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp157c-dk2-basic.tsv from stm32mp1-openstlinux-4.19-thud-mp1-19-02-20 downloaded from site. And I can't normally enter to any low power mode: stop - "systemctl suspend" or "echo mem > /sys/power/state", standby - "shutdown now". It always resets itself after some time (seems like it's IWDG). But I don't have such problems with 'trusted' image. How can I fix it?
We want to check if we can achieve our real time requirements with the STM32MP1 running Linux. At the RT download area (https://mirrors.edge.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/projects/rt/4.19/older/) we can not find a rt patch for the kernel version 4.19.9.Does anybody know if another patch fits to the ST Linux Kernel or if a rt patch is somewhere available. Thanks!Carsten
I created the image "st-example-image-qt" but It doesnt have the things that weston image has.It doesnt have terminal, gtk demo launcher and other things. How can I add terminal and other things to my qt image ?What should I do before executing bitbake command ?
Anyone know if or how you can get Windows IOT core to run on the STM32MP1 touschscreen disco board ?Regards,Andy
Hi,I have a problem while trying to bring up my board, which is based on the STM32MP157A-EV1.What I'm doing is trying to flash the board with the same method as in the Starter Package, so I created a copy of the appropriate *.tfv file changing the name of the *.stm32 files it points to to the one I compiled after getting the proper device tree files from CubeMX.I've come to a point where TF-A seems to load correctly, then it proceeds with the U-Boot and everything stops when it doesn't find the mmc0 (SD card if I'm not wrong). The thing is, all the SDMMC1 signals are connected just as it is on the EV1, except for "uSD_DETECT". On our design, the "uSD_DETECT" line is located on PG12 (Ball J4) instead of PG1 (Y4), which is where it is on the EV1.I've been trying to figure out how to change that on the device tree but so far I haven't learned how to do that, however, I tried checking the line that's connected to PG1 (Y4) on our design (we can still have access to it) and I see that i
I'd like to test the standby mode on the board STM32MP157C-DK2,so I run the application 'OpenAMP_TTY_echo_wakeup' by following the doc -- readme.txt in STM32Cube MP1 package. However ,once I run the command $ echo mem > /sys/power/state to move CA7 in CStop mode , it will report such error:[ 281.518965] PM: Syncing filesystems ... done. Hi Folks,I am building openstlinux-weston/st-image-weston image for stm32mp157c-dk2 board using newest Yocto distribution provided by STM. Everything works fine except the output goes always to HDMI (even if no cable attached). I can see bootloader splash image on DSI display. However, after couple of seconds it disappears and display remains black. If I attach HDMI display after boot is complete, I can see launcher application there. BTW, the same is happening with eglfs image.I would appreciate any hints what might be wrong and how to debug/fix the problem. Here is the build summary information and complete boot-log from serial console.Regards,Andrey.
Hi everyone,I am newbie in embedded linux, sorry if I ask dummy question and I try to combine GPIO EXTI and OpenAMP examples of Stm32Mp157C-DK2. I have completely run both examples alone however when I combined them, the interrupt due to the button press does not happen and the board just listen to the remote message from the rpmsg channel when I debug. My aim is to send " Button pressed" message whenever button is pressed namely EXTI occurred. However, the board does not enter the EXTI callback. Thank you in advance,Halil
Dear STM32 MPU Community,Some useful information we would like to share with you this month ! You have a question regarding STM32MP1 product and its ecosystem ? There is a good chance you find it in the MPU Wiki User Guide (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu ) This user guide aims at assisting developers to use STM32 MPUs microprocessor devices from STMicroelectronics, starting with the STM32MP1 series. It contains many articles to discover the STM32MP1 series and associated ecosystems (STM32 boards, embedded software, development tools, trace & debug tools...).If you think information is missing or incomplete, please post your request in this Q&A ! Thanks for your interest in STM32MP1 product !
Hello,I read the related wiki page and low power mode document.I can enter low power mode with the command "echo mem > /sys/power/state". Thats great. My M4 program is still running in the background. I am reading a sensor in this program. If it reads above 30 Celcius or the user touches the touch screen, I want the MPU to exit low power mode. What should I exactly do ?With what should I play in m4 code ? tnx
i mean do the update somehow on the fly without removing the card from a running system, on the pc build a new rootfs and instead of removing the card, and do the copying on the pc, do this directly on the dk board. in principle it should be possible, i just need the 'magic' commands/scripts, or even have this new rootfs in ram on some ram drive e.g. scp the new rootfs, then chroot to it, somehow
Hi, I'm currently working on STM32MP1.I tried to use STM32CubeProg with STM32MP157A-DK1 in "the Engineering mode", but it doesn't recognize ST-Link for this board. So currently the only option I can program under the Engineering Mode seems to be SW4STM32. STM32CubeProg also seems to be perfect tool for the Engineering Mode (and the Production mode) too.Do you guys have any plan to add support for the MCU part of STM32MP1xx dev boards with STM32CubeProg, or to make any standalone tool?

I want to change splash screen of u-boot with custom image. Therefore I adjusted my image with same properties as default one has. Then I replaced the image under layers/meta-st/meta-st-stm32mp/recipes-bsp/u-boot/u-boot-stm32mp-splash this path with same name " stmicroelectronics.bmp". For applying change I clean the recipe with bitbake -c clean -f u-boot-stm32mp-splash command and then recompile image with bitbake st-image-weston.After completing everything board monitors white screen. I assume I changed something but wrongly.Board: Stm32Mp157c-dk2Best Halil
Hello.I have a DK2 board and I want to wake up MPU (CA7) after shutdown command. If no MCU (CM4) firmware is running then no problems, but otherwise if I run MCU firmware (GPIO example) before shutting down MPU I get the following error after pushing Wake Up button:PANIC at PC : 0x2fff2e81Exception mode=0x00000016 at: 0xc0831f9cAnd it reboots after some time and stops MCU firmware:INFO: Reset reason (0x214):INFO: IWDG2 Reset (rst_iwdg2)How can i solve this problem? Thanks.
also "apt-get install" cannot locate no packages - please provide a solution to this problem.

Hi,I'm playing around initramfs shell using initramfs-framework in Yocto environment.I found that the chip abruptly reboots after some time (I think it's around 30 seconds) if the initramfs doesn't fully boot the system by entering systemd.I think it's because of kind of system timer like watchdog, but I'm not sure.Anyone know what's causing force reboot and how to workaround it? (disable, extending the timer, or implementing timer handler etc.)
We have a design with a USB HOST, the schematic is shown below, And the system is Linux 4.19. We have add some configuration about USB HID as below: 2 CONFIG_HID=y 3 CONFIG_HID_GENERIC=y 4 CONFIG_USB_HID=y 5 CONFIG_USB_HIDDEV=y 6 CONFIG_USB_KBD=y 7 CONFIG_USB_MOUSE=y If we connect the USB Mouse directly to J4, it does not work(The LED on the USB mouse is on), but the USB Stick works; dmesg | grep usb[ 0.295912] usbcore: registered new interface driver usbfs[ 0.295998] usbcore: registered new interface driver hub[ 0.296136] usbcore: registered new device driver usb[ 0.423062] stm32-usbphyc 5a006000.usbphyc: Linked as a consumer to regulator.1[ 0.423179] stm32-usbphyc 5a006000.usbphyc: Linked as a consumer to regulator.2[ 0.423306] stm32-usbphyc 5a006000.usbphyc: Dropping the link to regulator.2[ 0.423416] stm32-usbphyc 5a006000.usbphyc: Dropping the link to regulator.1[

If it is possible is there an example or at least some guidance on how to implement the PPS output? Coming from Cortex-M4/RTOS development I am doing my best to learn Application Processor/Embedded Linux development.
Hey everyone,I am working on STM32MP157-DK1 with trustzone cortex-A.I want to use SPI in secure side, but it's possible only with SPI6 that is not mapped to the outside. It's possible to activate SPI (1 ... 5) peripherals in secure side ? if not, why ?Best regards
