Hi, What mean kmsdrm no support dynamic loading ? But for example X11 can be dynamic loaded.I check this when try build SDL, but are there some another options to check dynamic loading in system ?Adrian

Hello, I have built the st-example-image-qt, built the meta-qt5 toolchain and installed the SDK. I am trying to set up cross compilation for qtcreator but when I try to run the qt program I get the following error:06:07:02: Running steps for project stm32WidgetTest... 06:07:02: Configuration unchanged, skipping qmake step. 06:07:02: Starting: "/usr/bin/make" -j2 arm-openstlinux_eglfs-linux-gnueabi-g++ -march=armv7ve -mthumb -mfpu=neon-vfpv4 -mfloat-abi=hard -mcpu=cortex-a7 --sysroot=/opt/st/stm32mp1/2.6-snapshot/sysroots/cortexa7t2hf-neon-vfpv4-openstlinux_eglfs-linux-gnueabi -Wl,-O1 -Wl,--hash-style=gnu -Wl,--as-needed --sysroot=/opt/st/stm32mp1/2.6-snapshot/sysroots/cortexa7t2hf-neon-vfpv4-openstlinux_eglfs-linux-gnueabi -o stm32mp1Test main.o mainwindow.o moc_mainwindow.o -lQt5Widgets -lQt5Gui -lQt5Core -lGLESv2 -lpthread /opt/st/stm32mp1/2.6-snapshot/sysroots/x86_64-openstlinux_eglfs_sdk-linux/usr/libexec/arm-openstlinux_eglfs-linux-gnueabi/gcc/arm-openstlinux_eglfs-linux-gnueabi/
From my preliminary survey, ST provides bootloader source code, kernel source code, and Yocto/Linux for SW developers to customize the file system (rootfs) to add/remove the open source tools and framework. Is my understanding correct?
Secure Boot, TrustZoneSuspend to/resume from different sleep modes

Hello, I would like to know in detail how exactly does the Engineering mode work on this platform. The information at https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32CubeMP1_development_guidelines are kind of vague and a little confusing. Is the Cortex-A7 being used in this mode at all, or it goes straight to an infinite loop? Where is the secure debugger running, if the A7 is not used? Is the ROM code executed by the Cortex-M4? The figure shows that the debugger runs on the Cortex-A7, which technically means it also loads and runs the co-processor firmware, so it can not go into an infinite loop?
Hello, We have a custom board with STM32MP157A series and we need to launch our image using EMMC boot.Actually we had an custom board with same processor but it was booting only with SD card as there is no EMMC boot in that.So I want to know how to do this on this board using EMMC.RegardsSrikanth.
Hi, how to add program to autostart in OpenSTLinux ?I tried adding initialization script to /etc/init.d and creating .desktop file in ~/.config/autostart directory, but nothing works.I will be very gratefull, if somebody could help me.
Not sure where to post this, just unpacked a STM32MP157C-EV1 and was following the Getting started instructions. The insctructions use USB to program a SDHC card. But, on this page:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP157x-EV1/Let%27s_start/Populate_the_target_and_boot_the_image"Connect USB Type A to Type C cable between PC and CN7/USB_OTG port of the STM32MP157x-EV1 board"But CN7/USB_OTG is on the STM32MP157C-DK2, not the -EV1 and there is no corresponding connector (I think). Will try to program the card using ST-LINK.Thanks!
Hi, On the OpenSTLinux Git i can see that there is the warrior branch and i would like to know when will there be a realease using this branch of Openembedded? Also the Zeus branch is now available (3.0), is there plans to support it too? Thanks,
Following instructions @ https://www.emsyslabs.com/how-to-compile-linux-using-yocto-for-stm32mp1/andhttps://koansoftware.com/yocto-project-meta-layer-for-stm32mp1-by-koan/I'm led to believe that a qtcreator executable or script will be created which I can run on the host (Debian) to create and cross compile a QT5 app for STM32MP157.I'm new to QT but need to create a simple UI to run on STM32MP157, what am I missing ?Thanks in advance.
I want to boot my original board which STM32MP151CAA3 MPU is mounted on.However, the following error occurs in the boot process and the process fail. mmc0: error -22 whilst initialising SD cardI suspect that the description of User Code Section for sdmmc1(SD card) node in the device tree cause an error, but I have not known the cause of the error. What could be the cause of the error?I attach boot error log and original device tree sources.Would you be able to lend your expertise.Best regards.H. Hello. I am new to this device. The bluetooth demo connects to a headset (or speaker) and work fine. Also, the BT module seems to be advertised as an audio device. I suppose, it should be possible to change that, but I have not found any way for it. What I want is to pass some data between two devices, let's say open the Bluetooth as a serial port (BTPROTO_RFCOMM). Any hints? Thanks.
Hi. I've made a custom board very similar to stm32mp157c-DK2 BUT with STM32MP151A and ONLY eMMC (on SDMMC2 standard MUX) as flash device (no NOR, no QUADSPI, no SD). I built all necessary files with the help of CubeMX program and all works good EXCEPT that sometimes when i power off and physically remove AC then put AC on again, the device go in DFU. boot012 pins are configured well. I was thinking about trying to write OTP word 3 with a forced configuration in order to make the MPU boot always from eMMC. The question is: how to write to OPT word 3? Any example? I've only found MAC address example but i think it's a bit different. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi, I am trying to config the wifi module to be access point and client simultaneously , but the iw utility gives error when trying to create the second interface Is this configuration possible? I am using the stm32mp157c-dk2 board. Thanks!
Hello, I have a Evalution board of STM32MP157C-DK2 which had an wifi module(LBEE5KL1Dx-883 Murata) and I want to use the module in AP and STA mode simultaneously. So I tried to do the necessary changes in the hostapd.conf(wlan1)and wpa supplicant file(wlan0) for two wifi interfaces. What is the problem I found is for the two intarfaces same MAC ID is assigned may be that is the reason simultaneously wifi was not able to run.I have attached link for from the murata where they are explaining the procedure for AP + STA.Please suggest me how to use the interface in a dual mode.https://www.murata.com/-/media/webrenewal/campaign/ads/asean/wireless_solution/miscellaneous-faq-r2.ashx?la=en-sgRegardsSrikanth.
Can i connect J-Link to test points TP2,TP3,TP4,TP5,TP8,TP9 and not use the embedded ST-Link/V2 ? If yes do it needs special treatment like disabling embedded ST-Link/V2 ?
Hello, We made a board that based on STM32MP157C-DK2. First of all, show the configuration of our board as below.... (1). The major parts and circuit are same as DK2 such as DDR, PMIC, MicroSD, Ethernet. (2). Some parts are removed such as MCU, WIFI/BT, HDMI Tx, USB hub, USB Type-C DRP and LCD module. (3). And add some peripheral such as eMMC, two SPI devices (SPI4, SPI5), EEP (I2C-1) The problem is: The board cannot boot up from SD card, list the symptoms as below... (1). We tried to boot up the board by DK2 SD card (it works well on DK2), but got the exception message from UART ... PANIC at PC : 0x2ffdc323 Exception mode=0x00000016 at: 0x2ffda000 This is all messages since power on. (2). The BOOT cfg. bit setting is confirmed on 101b, boot from SD card. (3). The PA13 (boot status pin) kept Hi or Hi-Z. (4). PMIC RANK-0 no power output, but other RANK had output power. (5). About SD card access.... a. Only SDMMC1_CK, SDMMC1
2 questions here:Is the UART4 connector active by default on the demo board or do I need to build it in?If/when it is active, which STLinux /dev/tty is linked to the I/O path for UART4?thank you,-peter
I'm looking to use the STM32MP1 for a battery powered product. What is the recommended configuration to control external power supplies? Both in startup and shutdown. In the past I've used an external M0 as a power sequencer. Latching the power from a momentary power switch, then signalling a shutdown (via UART or I2C) and powering down once Linux has shutdown. Is there a way of doing this with just the STM32MP1?
Hello,I want to use SDL2 to run some application on stm32mp157 DK2.I build st-example-image-x11 and when LDME service started I can run startX and run my application. I want turn off LDME manager and only run startX but when I do this I get error:last dlopen error /usr/lib/dri/stm_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directoryfailed to open any driver (search paths /usr/lib/drilast dlopen error /usr/lib/dri/kms_swrast_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directoryfailed to load driver: kms_swrastIn /usr/lib/dri I have only swrast_dri.soMy xorg.conf is empty.Do I need add some driver configurations in xinitrc /etc/X11/xinit ??Regards,Adrian
Is It possible to separate the STM32MP157A-EV1 MPU Subsystem Daughterboard (MB1263) from the motherboard (MB1262) to integrate it into a Motherboard of our design? Are there any limitations for its use when not paired with MB1262?Thank you!
Hello,I have successfully compiled and deployed the distribution package (trusted) onto the STM32MP1. I am using OpenSSL in a program for signing data, where SHA256 is used as a hash. I would like to take advantage of hardware acceleration by using either the cryptodev or af_alg engines. The distribution provides Yocto recipes for cryptodev-linux (header), cryptodev-module (kernel module) of version 1.9 and for OpenSSL version 1.1.1b, in which I modified the PACKAGECONFIG line by adding cryptodev-linux option in it, so OpenSSL compiles with the cryptodev support. The 3 aforementioned recipes were built and deployed using devtool. OpenSSL also provides a built-in AF_ALG engine by default. However, the supported algorithms of both engines are only ciphers, there are no hash algorithms whatsoever. I also tried to build OpenSSL with the -DUSE_CRYPTODEV_DIGESTS, but that didnt change anything. Version 1.0.2 of OpenSSL however, provides some hashing algorithms like MD5 and SHA1, but not SHA2
