I wonder if any one who owns a board with STM32MP2-processor can tell me if Youtube is working well on that board? Some one who can setup a STM32MP-dev board, install Firefox and go into youtube and post some images of that process?
Hi, I have an issue with my project. It is bare metal project. When Im configuring clock the boards is failing in SystemClock_Config().I tried to copy the setup from BSP_BasicTemplates. Hello,We have produced a board using the STM32MP257FAI3 that we are trying to bring up. I previously had followed the following guide: Getting started - stm32mpu To bring up the STM32MP257F-EV1 development board; I applied the same process to the debug/run configurations for my own board and we are unable to connect to the processor using the STLink-V3 nor program the eMMC over USB. We have checked the ST-Link connections to the processor, and all appears to be correct (i.e., matching the EV1 board). We also texted the voltages going to the processor and those appear as expected.1. Should we expect to be able to connect to the STM32MP2 processor using the ST-Link alone? We're seeing that "Examination Failed" when the ST-Link is trying to connect to the processor. We are able to get past this step with the EV1 board, though we've not really been able to do anything useful with the CubeIDE at this point. 2. Since we are unable to connect to the STM32MP2, we are

Hello everyone,I would like to ask if it is possible to configure the STM32MP157F-DK2 to boot from a USB SSD instead of an SD card. If so, could you please share the steps or documentation?Thank you in advance!Best regards,Symeon Zapsis
Hello everyone,I am trying to migrate a project for the STM32MP151C from dunfell to kirkstone.The versions of the main components I am using are the following:ComponentVersiontf-a-stm32mpv2.6-stm32mp-r2.2optee-os-stm32mpv3.16.0-stm32mp-r2.2u-boot-stm32mpv2021.10-stm32mp-r2.2linux-stm32mpv5.15.145-stm32mp-r2.2 The project intends to have a custom u-boot environment. For this a patch is applied to modify CONFIG_EXTRA_ENV_SETTINGS in stm32mp15_common.h, like this:#define FOO_USBFLASH_BOOTFS "foo_usbflash_bootfs=" \ "load usb 0:1 ${loadaddr} foo-image-bootfs-foo-core-stm32mp151c-foo.ext4;" \ "mmc write ${loadaddr} 2400 20000;" \ "mmc write ${loadaddr} 22400 20000;\0" #define CONFIG_EXTRA_ENV_SETTINGS \ STM32MP_MEM_LAYOUT \ STM32MP_BOOTCMD \ STM32MP_PARTS_DEFAULT \ BOOTENV \ FOO_USBFLASH_BOOTFS \ STM32MP_EXTRA \ STM32MP_BOARD_EXTRA_ENVThis approach worked perfectly fine in the old version of the project, but now when the system boots into u-boot I see that the cus
Hello, we have trouble finding any dts example for USB dual role utilizing STPMIC1 internal boost regulator and power switches. Our design is pretty close to attached scheme (from AN5260 page 6).We need to know how to use stpmic1 linux driver to dynamically start and stop boots regulator and power swich on USB device insertion. We use USB-C witch additional IC but for simplicity just assume oldstyle ID pin and VBUS detection.Could we get information what we need to do for this functionality to work? Any driver modyfications needs to be done? Maybe theory of operation (linux side)?Any starting point for further work will be helpful. Thank you!
I installed the distribution package using the stm32mp257f-ev board, but eth1 is visible but eth2 is missing. How do I activate both end0 and end1 in yocto.
Hi All,I am working on enabling and testing the LCD (RGB666) and backlight (enable and pwm) functionality on my STM32MP1 platform in U-Boot. I have configured the necessary U-Boot options for LCD and video support, including backlight control and display configuration, but I would like some clarification and guidance on the following:Is it possible to test the LCD display in U-Boot?Can I use the lcdputs command for basic testing, such as writing simple text to the display? If so, how should it be used correctly?How can I verify that the backlight is working in U-Boot?Does U-Boot provide any commands (e.g., vidinfo) to check video or LCD configuration?I created custom u-boot recipe and .cfg file, can you check the attached rar?Regards
Hi there,I'm new to the Yocto project and have been following this tutorial series in order to familiarise myself with the process. In the series, the presenter is using an STM32MP157 Discovery Kit to walk through the process. I initially followed the tutorial to the letter, and managed to build an image using the Poky reference distro, along with the ST BSP. I noticed that no image was made for the board I am using (STM32MP135-DK), so I decided to rebuild my image using the "stm32mp13-disco" machine present under "/meta-st-stm32mp/conf/machine". After rerunning "bitbake core-image-minimal" I was met with the following error: ERROR: Could not invoke dnf. Command '/home/<my username>/Projects/yocto/build-mp1/tmp/work/stm32mp13_disco-poky-linux-gnueabi/st-image-userfs/1.0-r0/recipe-sysroot-native/usr/bin/dnf -v --rpmverbosity=info -y -c /home/<my username>/Projects/yocto/build-mp1/tmp/work/stm32mp13_disco-poky-linux-gnueabi/st-image-userfs/1.0-r0/rootfs/etc/dnf

Hi ST Team ,previously i used the MP1 processor where the video lagging issues, so know i decided to move on another processor who can play the high resolution video above 1080 P @30FPS, Note: i do not want any HDMI IC's , i want direct pin(RGB) through the processor to our HDMI port,please suggest me which Processor should be better.
I am trying to cross compile a simple helloworld.cpp program. #include <iostream> int main(int argc, char** argv) { std::cout << "Hello World" << std::endl; return 0; } The makefile is PROG = helloworld SRCS = helloworld.cpp CLEANFILES = $(PROG) # Add / change option in CFLAGS and LDFLAGS CFLAGS += -Wall $(shell pkg-config --cflags gtk+-3.0) LDFLAGS += $(shell pkg-config --libs gtk+-3.0) all: $(PROG) $(PROG): $(SRCS) $(CC) -o $@ $^ $(CFLAGS) $(LDFLAGS) clean: rm -f $(CLEANFILES) $(patsubst %.c,%.o, $(SRCS)) I have the developer package installed and I am able to compile the gtk_hello_world.c example just fine but If I try the above code it complies just fine but during the link it complains about std::cout and std::endl amoung other things related to iostream. /home/lharris/STM32CubeIDE/Developer-Package/SDK/sysroots/x86_64-ostl_sdk-linux/usr/libexec/arm-ostl-linux-gnueabi/gcc/arm-ostl-linux-gnueabi/12.3.0/ld: /tmp/ccoeJuW6
I use the STM32MP135F-DK development version because STM32MP135F-DK does not have a PCIe interface. Is there any way I can use my STM32MP135F-DK in a 4G/5G module?(It can best be applied to the speed requirements of 5G)
Looking at the u-boot driver (drivers/watchdog/stm32mp_wdt.c), it seems to hard code the prescaler to /256.There is no warning if the maximum timeout is set. The linux driver seems to handle values up to the maximum of 131 seconds. Is there some reason u-boot needs to do this when the hardware supports longer timeouts ? static int stm32mp_wdt_start(struct udevice *dev, u64 timeout_ms, ulong flags) { struct stm32mp_wdt_priv *priv = dev_get_priv(dev); int reload; u32 val; int ret; /* Prescaler fixed to 256 */ reload = timeout_ms * priv->wdt_clk_rate / 256; if (reload > RLR_MAX + 1) /* Force to max watchdog counter reload value */ reload = RLR_MAX + 1; else if (!reload) /* Force to min watchdog counter reload value */ reload = priv->wdt_clk_rate / 256; ...

Hi there, I am working on a product where we use the STM32MP157C for our purposes At the moment we have the UART4 attached to A7. I wanted to move it to M4 so that I can start seeing the serial logs coming out of M4 rather than the A7 which is running Linux. So I loaded the .ioc file onto the STM32CubeIDE 1.16.1. I have attached a screenshot of the current configuration on A7 herewith. I then deselected the A7 and selected M4 as shown in the attachment. Saved the .ioc file, regenrated the code and compiled it. But when I try rebooting the STM32MP157C it seems like few early boot messages comes on the serial but then after few seconds it seems to be rebooting and the same few lines keeps coming. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.But I have noticed this error message on CubeMxIDE:When I try to move the UART4 from A7 to M4 and select Asynchronous mode it shows an error in HW flow control which like this: HW Flow Control (RS232) Conflict with SDMMC1: Mode MMC 8 bit Wide Bus or/and A
As reported in the GitHub page, STM32PRGFW-UTIL should work with boards with USB DFU or UART serial interface.It works properly with UART, but it doesn't with USB DFU, showing the following error: Download in Progress: ██████████████████████████████████████████████████ 100% File download complete Time elapsed during download operation: 00:00:00.681 RUNNING Program ... PartID: :0x01 Error: Unable to reconnect the target device: time out expired Error: Start operation failed at partition 0x01 Error: TSV flashing service failed The code seems to ignore USB requests, since GetCommandOpcode is not defined: static OPENBL_OpsTypeDef USART_Ops = { OPENBL_USART_Configuration, NULL, OPENBL_USART_ProtocolDetection, OPENBL_USART_GetCommandOpcode, OPENBL_USART_SendByte }; static OPENBL_OpsTypeDef USB_Ops = { OPENBL_USB_Configuration, NULL, OPENBL_USB_ProtocolDetection, NULL, NULL };void OPENBL_CommandProcess(void) {
I modified an FSBL example to get to the root of the problem (everything else being as in the example). volatile int rrr = 0; void SGI0_IRQHandler(void) { while (1) { rrr++; }; } int main() { HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); IRQ_Disable(SGI0_IRQn); IRQ_SetPriority(SGI0_IRQn, 0); IRQ_Enable(SGI0_IRQn); while(1) { GIC_SendSGI(SGI0_IRQn, 1, 0); } } This works perfectly in thumb mode, but when I switch to ARM (that probably should give slight performance boost for my DSP task), the interrupt is stuck in Vectors section, without doing anything.The LR is weird, and I cant get my head around how is it possible that is has LR = 0x2ffe0106 (not multiple of 4)As if the core switched to thumb mode without address being odd and started executing instructions in 16 bit mode.Thanks for any advice :)
please help me on how to integrate Qt with STM32CubeIDE so that clicking a button in a Qt application sends data to the DAC on the STM32MP157D-DK1
Hi,We are wondering that do we support to boot uboot from nand flash then boot into OS from external PCIE SSD driver.Is that workable to support this case by changing codes on stm32mp257 platform? Thanks.
Hello: I am debugging the network development of STM32MP135 bare metal, using the protocol stack LWIP+FreeRTOS, and I have implemented the LWIP transplantation of dual network ports under FreeRTOS, and can successfully PING the IP of the two network ports, but there is a problem when using iperf to test the speed, as follows: Because STM32MP135 supports dual Gigabit Ethernet, I use RGMII to connect two Gigabit PHY chips (YT8531) on my board (the development board here can refer to MYD-YF13X development board). Now when using iperf to test the speed of two Gigabit Ethernets, I find that the speed is very slow, only about 10Mbps as a server, and only 240Mbps as a client. The above results are the results after optimizing the relevant TCP parameters and DMA descriptors in the lwipopt.h file, and the Gigabit function cannot be achieved at all; In addition, if the Gigabit PHY is forced to be used as a 100M PHY, PING can be successful, and the iperf speed test also has a speed of 95Mbps,
