Dear Sir/Madam,Thank you for reading my message. I have a newly bought STM32MP157F-DK2 but it doesn't boot the Bootlin's pre-build Linux kernel image. Its screen showed nothing (no boot messages, cursor, etc, as shown in the attached picture). I received the kernel image from bootlin's "buildroot-external-st" repo on github. Has anyone faced the same issue like mine above?Thank you. Regards,ZS Lee
Hello Team,Currently we are facing issue in loading a custom kernel on STM32MP157A). To load and build the image for the custom kernel please find the link below which currently we are usinghttps://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP135x-DK/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-A7/Modify,_rebuild_and_reload_the_Linux%C2%AE_kernel We have build and install all the dependencies which are required https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32mp1dev.html here in this we have installed MP1-DEV-SRC . The linux system currently we are using is 20.04.1-Ubuntu .So there is requirement that we need to enable few things from the make menuconfig like RAW GADGET , GADGET FS , GADGET ZERO ,FUNCTION FS. Eventually when we build the kernel without make menuconfig changes, It builds and runs fine but after any configuration when we run the make ${IMAGE_KERNEL} vmlinux dtbs LOADADDR=0xC2000040 O="${OUTPUT_BUILD_DIR}" command it shows the error in the pic
Here's the translation of your request:"I was following the instructions on '6. Building the OpenSTLinux distribution' from the ST wiki (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MPU_Distribution_Package), but encountered an error, so I couldn't proceed. Could anyone advise on how to resolve this issue?"If you provide more details about the error you're encountering, I can help you troubleshoot more specifically.
The STM32MP151 Reference manual says "For more information refer to Boot ROMapplication note.". But I can't find any application note that talks about Boot ROM. Please help to find this information.Thanks.
Hello everyone,I am planning to build an embedded project using a System on Module (SoM), and I am looking for a SoM board that supports bare-metal programming. Could you please help me find the best SoM board suitable for this purpose?
I've been following the STM32MP15 Discovery kits - Starter Package tutorial to set up my STM32MP157D-DK1 board and am having trouble flashing the SD card via the CubeProgrammer CLI. It successfully loads partitions 0x01, 0x03, then the board disconnects and the flash fails. Here's screenshots of the CLI output as well as a picture of the board:Additional info:My PC is running Windows 10LD6 (red LED between USER1 and USER2 buttons) flashes rapidly after disconnectLD8 (blue LED left of micro-USB port) is lit after disconnectHere's the troubleshooting I've done so far:Resetting the board before it times out results in the flash operation restarting from the beginning and failing in the same wayUsing device manager to scan for hardware changes after disconnect does nothingUSB driver switched to libusbK via ZadigFormatted the SD card to wipe previous partitionsUsed different cords and USB portsAttempted to flash from other .tsv files (tutorial calls for FlashLayout_sdcard_stm32mp1
Hi STM Community !!We use the STM32MP1 on our board.We use the gpio feature for an IRQ in our system.We use it in a kernel module.With the Ecosystem v5, it worked perfectly, but we used#define PIN_FPGA_INTA (16 + 10)static struct gpio gpio_irq_pps = {PIN_FPGA_INTA, GPIOF_IN, "IRQ PPS FPGA"};...if (gpio_request_one(gpio_irq_pps.gpio, gpio_irq_pps.flags, gpio_irq_pps.label)) {printk("Fail of gpio_request for PPS_INT(B10 pin) :( \n");}irq_num_pps = gpio_to_irq(gpio_irq_pps.gpio);if (irq_num_pps < 0) {printk("Fail to use GPIO B10 as PPS Interrupt :( \n");gpio_free(PIN_FPGA_INTA);}// set interrupt for PPSret = request_irq(irq_num_pps, pps_irq_handler, IRQF_TRIGGER_FALLING, "pnt_fpga_int_a", NULL);if (ret != 0) {printk("Interrupt Request Failed for INT_PPS: %d\n", ret);gpio_free(PIN_FPGA_INTA);} elseprintk("Interrupt PPS OK\n");...Now, in the Ecosystem v6, we need to move to new gpiod kernel functions, because gpio_* functions are deprecated.So, in the DTS In the DTS we have :/ {...my_gpi
Hi I am working with the STM32MP257FxEV1 and trying to create a bare metal test project for evaluating the M33, since there is no ready example that can be created from the STM32Cube IDE I succeeded to create the project and build it correctly, also put the EV board to development boot (not SD, not QSPI), and then when trying to start the debug, it fails with the following message I suspected the linker file to be created wrong from the ioc generator, cause the addresses were assigned to the DDR addresses and not the SRAM, so I changed them to the SRAM like this The debugging is set the SWD and it looks like it connecting OKbut the problem remains and not solved, I can't enter a debug session I attached the whole project - it a very small one, and maybe someone can explain what is the problem?Thanks
Hello, I am trying to make my own project on Cube IDE for the STM32MPU257F-EV1 Development board. However, whenever I try to run it or debug it fails. I am pretty sure it because of the configurations because the sign build configurations, that we often use for the example applications, is not one we can use by default, and I am unsure how to make a configuration that will actually allow it to run. As of now if my project just has the code generated from the ioc it is still unable to run or enter debug mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello Continue to me development on the STM32MP257xEV1, previous failure with the Python crypto packages the project: OpenAMP_TTY_echo is loaded correctly, built configuration _ns_sign is completed OK, also looks like the .bin file is generated setting the Run configuration with the correct IP address, conneting to the board run => downloading the bin to the target is progressing till the endupon completion of the download, the board is powered on - see this in the consoleBUT - remoteproc remoteproc0: powering up m33remoteproc remoteproc0: Image is corrupted (bad magic)remoteproc remoteproc0: Boot failed: -22 looks like the signing function has a bad key Can it be the python packages versions => pyelftools and pycryptodomex ?
Hello I'm starting development on the STM32MP257xEV1 (I already have an experience with the STM32CubeIDE with lots of MCUs) I followed the installation instructions, IDE 1.17 => and the MP2 package + patch => Python packages I'm running on windows 10 x64, have the python 3.10 and checked that those libraries are installed (i.e. pip list and jupyter-lab example python code) The board OpenSTLinux is booted correctly from the SDCARD, and I see the terminal and have a live Linux console Basically I wanted to start with an example on the M33, and started with the following link: Modify, rebuild and reload the firmware - stm32mpu the project : OpenAMP_TTY_echo is loaded correctly, and the build of _ns is completed OK When I choose (with the hammer) the _ns_sign I get this error : Th trackback shows: ImportError: cannot import name 'utils' from 'cryptography.hazmat.primitives.ciphers.aead' (C:\Python\Python310\lib\site-pack
The Static IP settings of my computer are as follows As follows, My computer can ping itself Then the Static IP (/lib/systemd/network/52-static.network) of my STM32MP135F-DK is set as follows As follows, My STM32MP135F-DK also can ping itself Why can't my computer ping STM32MP135F-DK? This is my comouter ip route, Why can’t I see the ip route of STM32MP135F-DK? Is there any mistake in setting the Static IP above? Or am I missing some settings? How can I solve this problem?

I am trying to create virtual keyboard in STM32MP157D-DK1. But while making I am getting this error. qt.qpa.wayland: qtvirtualkeyboard currently is not supported at client-side, use QT_IM_MODULE=qtvirtualkeyboard at compositor-side.Can anyone help me with this?
I am trying to get started on Linux kernel development on STM32MP157F-DK2 board. Thus far I have been able to,1. Flash the started package and get Linux booting successfully2. Download the developer package, add extra logs and update the linux kernel on the boardI am trying to get started on kernel drivers and was not able to find linux headers in the sdk include path. I am getting linux/init.h as not found.I tried to update the include path by adding the headers from the linux source code from the developer package but am facing a lot of include errors. I tried looking for a way to download the linux headers for the openst linux image online but wasn't able to find any so far.I have the following queries,1. Can someone provide a way to download the linux headers for cross compilation?2. If possible can someone share a simple wiki/example of a custom kernel module/driver on the openstlinux.Thanks in advance.
I follow the instruction in this git repository to build an openWRT image for STM32MP157F-DK2. I use the branch master with latest commit too.https://github.com/bootlin/openwrt-feed-stBy default the Remote core and RPMSG is not enable, so I try to enable it.1. I enable Linux configuration as below:CONFIG_REMOTEPROC=yCONFIG_REMOTEPROC_CDEV=yCONFIG_REMOTEPROC_SRM_CORE=yCONFIG_REMOTEPROC_SRM_DEV=yCONFIG_TEE_REMOTEPROC=yCONFIG_STM32_RPROC=yCONFIG_RPMSG=yCONFIG_RPMSG_CHAR=yCONFIG_RPMSG_CTRL=yCONFIG_RPMSG_NS=yCONFIG_RPMSG_TTY=yCONFIG_RPMSG_VIRTIO=yCONFIG_STM32_IPCC=y2. I checked the device tree, it looks ok.I got an error that the driver could not work as below after booting the image.[16.481009] platform 10000000.m4: deferred probe pendingThe remote core is not enable. What wrong with my configuration or this feature is not supported? My hardware is STM32MP157F-DK2.Thanks

I am getting a strange warning on IDE 1.17 after upgrading that I was not getting before bin/ld.exe: warning: PE-28.elf has a LOAD segment with RWX permissionsI have not modified the Load file at all. It did not show up before, I can go back to the previous version and I do not get the warning. What could be causing this?
I am using the STM32MP131 in a bare-metal environment.Since upgrading CubeMX from version 6.11 to 6.12, the code generation for the SPI3 module does not work at all.Specifically, the function declarations are generated, but the internal code of the functions is not generated at all. The code on the left is from version 6.11, and the code on the right is from the latest version.There is no internal code at all. I'm not sure if this issue is specific to me, but I have confirmed that it works properly in version 6.11.
