Hi,Is there any example showing how to configure a simple GPIO line using DeviceTree? I would like to set the pullup/pulldown or open drain and then use the /sys/class/gpio to read or write the value. The only example I can find is the GPIO setting for particular peripheral and not for standalone input/output pin.I have added the following section to the &pinctrl in my device tree but I think it has no effect on the pins configuration. gpio_pins_mx: gpio_pins_mx-0 { u-boot,dm-pre-reloc; pins { u-boot,dm-pre-reloc; pinmux = <STM32_PINMUX('D', 11, GPIO)>, <STM32_PINMUX('C', 0, GPIO)>, <STM32_PINMUX('B', 7, GPIO)>; bias-pull-down; }; };Thank you,Chris
Hello ! I am developing a STM32mp257FAI3 board.Does STM32mp257FAI3 support ubuntu 20.0.4 operating system?
Hi ST,Komal here, I want to purchase STM32MP157D-DK1 my requirements include:should support Linux full OSEthernet phyRAM 4GBso my question is will this board support full linux OS and other requirement of mine ?if not suggest a board according to my requirement.if the board suits good then kindly suggest which series of the board i will have to go for. Waiting for your quick response. Thank you
Hello, for flashing my STM32MP135F-DK board I am using STM_Programmer_CLI with my .tsv file. Example command and my tsv file:sudo ./STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=usb1 -w path/to/my.tsvIs there a way to explicitly set partitions UUID for rootfs-a and rootfs-b during flashing?I've noticed that when I name a partition with rootfs then it gets UUID of e91c4e10-16e6-4c0e-bd0e-77becf4a3582, as described in the wiki . But when having rootfs-a and rootfs-b, then those partitions get some other UUID, and the boot stops because rootfs UUID is not e91c4e10-16e6-4c0e-bd0e-77becf4a3582.I need the rootfs-a and rootfs-b UUIDs to be constant, to manage FW upgrades.
Is there a recommended minimum SMT package size and power rating for resistor R4 (8R2) please?
We have a board with PMIC attached to I2C2. I've followed the directions in https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/PMIC_hardware_components#TF-A to add the i2c2 node to the device tree. I have the I2C2 clock set to use HSI. No matter how I configure the clocks I can't get I2C2 to be initialized properly. Here is the message I get in TF-A:ERROR: I2C clock rate is 0ERROR: Cannot initialize I2C 40013000 (-22)
Dear ST Team,The kernel recipe in Scarthgap branch has following packaging:FILES:${KERNEL_PACKAGE_NAME}-image += "boot/ ${KERNEL_IMAGEDEST}"FILES:${KERNEL_PACKAGE_NAME}-imagebootfs = "boot/*.dtb boot/${KERNEL_IMAGETYPE}"Which has following side effects. The base class in openembedded-core layer defines packaging in meta/classes-recipe/kernel.bbclass as followsFILES:${KERNEL_PACKAGE_NAME}-image = ""FILES:${KERNEL_PACKAGE_NAME}-dev = "/${KERNEL_IMAGEDEST}/System.map* /${KERNEL_IMAGEDEST}/Module.symvers* /${KERNEL_IMAGEDEST}/config* ${KERNEL_SRC_PATH} ${nonarch_base_libdir}/modules/${KERNEL_VERSION}/build"By placing everything from the "boot" directory into the image package you hide "dev" package completely and it becomes empty. The "imagebootfs" package repacks devicetrees, thus hiding kernel-devicetree package from openembedded-core layer. If you need custom package for any reason, I suggest you set run-time dependencies rather than re-arranging the files. FTR, devicetree packaging is do
Hi,On my STm32MP157c-dk2 with openstlinux-eglfs, I configured in device tree (*.dts file) CAN and works . Now I would like to set pin PH11 as GPIO input.... Please help me how sholud looks my *.dts file, and wher in linux userspace I should find file with this GPIO ? Also I can not generate device tree for GPIO configuration using STM32CubeMX, please look below :

Hello, I am having an issue when I try to download the Developer package in the wiki. I am using this link (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MPU_Developer_Package#Installing_the_Starter_Package) in the 5.2 section, there, it redirects me to (https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stm32mp1dev.html#get-software). In the last link, when I try to download the file, it downloads the wrong file, since it downloads the SDK instead of the Developer package. Probably there is an error in the API and it gets the wrong file. Does anyone else experiences the same issue?
I have two STM32MP157C-DK2 dev boards, they still have the demo software on it.They collected a lot of dust, over the past years. The problem is the 3d cube demo slowing down after days. After a reset it is fast again. Perhaps a memory leak?Because it needs a reset every day or maybe every hour, I never was willing to start developing software on it.I'm cleaning up, and I am about to throw these kits in the trashbin. But, what's the undelying problem? Is there a solution to keep de kits running stable and at full speed anyway?
Hi! I wonder if it's possible to use OpenCV on STM32MP2 and configure so the neural networks use the NPU for faster classification and detection. Thanks
Is there a way to increase code size which is used on M4 MCU? I saw some memory regions in device tree, but it is not clear how to do a change. Any info will be appreciated.Best regards,Nenad
Hi everyone, I was finally able to get to the kernel and use the shell using the sd card (yay!). However, we want to boot from the emmc (sd card was for dev purposes but we want only emmc) and I am running into an issue. Please help me add support for USB-UART converters of the CP210x and CH341 series on the STM32MP157F-DK2 board. I expect to see ttyUSBx, but no new devices appear after connection. I am using the Distribution Package, and in the kernel configuration, I have activated the following settings: # USB port drivers # CONFIG_USB_SERIAL=y # CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_CONSOLE is not set CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_GENERIC=y CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_SIMPLE=m # CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_AIRCABLE is not set # CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_ARK3116 is not set # CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_BELKIN is not set CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_CH341=m # CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_WHITEHEAT is not set # CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_DIGI_ACCELEPORT is not set CONFIG_USB_SERIAL_CP210X=m But when connecting a CP210x- or CH340-based converter to any of the four USB-A ports on the board, I only get the following in dmesg: [1619.270102] usb 1-1.3: new full-speed USB device number 4 using ehci-platform At the same time, I can see my adapter when running lsusb: Bus 001 Device
Hello,I have a custom board with the STM32MP257FAK processor. I am having issues booting into u-boot from emmc. I can boot into u-boot fine using dfu-util over usb. But once I program in fsbl, ssbl, and meta data into the emmc and try to boot from it I get a error with the metadata partition. See log below.Any ideas what could cause this error?
Hello,to retrieve the temperature in the M4 domain I use the documentation RM0436, page 1571 (description) and DS12505Rev6 page 209 (characteristics)Q1: what adc resolution is to be used to be compliant to the reference values (calibration values) that are to be read from address 0x5C00525C?Q2: I am using Vref=2.048V. Can I scale the calibration values by the factor 2048 / 3300?Q3: At the address 0x5C00525C I read TS_CAL1 = 12192 (adc value @30°C) and TS_CAL2 = 16270 (adc value @130°C). Is this a reasonable / correct reading?Q4: the formula on page 1571 (RM0436) gives as a result not a temperature but an adc value (".... + TS_CAL1"), though it is supposed to return a value in °C. Is the formula correct?Q5: So the values TS_CALx_TEMP are [°C] and the values TS_CALCx are raw adc values? Anyway: Is there an example for the coprocessor M4? I was not able to create one with th Cube MX tool...Thanks!

Hi,I am compiling a yocto custom layer, I am using this layerspoky/meta-poky \ poky/meta-yocto-bsp \ meta-openembedded/meta-oe \ meta-openembedded/meta-python \ meta-st-stm32mp \ custom-image \I was able to connect the LBEE5KL1DX Murata module to wifi via STA, however, I would like to use switch to the AP mode, I followed the steps in the post https://wiki.stmicroelectronics.cn/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_configure_a_WLAN_interface_on_hotspot_mode After that, i am able to see the AP when I look in a smartphone, but after logging with the password configured, I see the message "IP configuration failure " on my smartphone. One thing I see suspicious is the inet when i run the command "ifconfig"Another thing i see weird is when i run the "networkctl status wlan0" command, specifically the Network File variable I also tried executing the bash script from a repository and it didn't work either https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/meta-st-openstlinux/blob/dunfell/recipes-sa
Hi I am trying to reset M33 with IWDG4. I configured the IWDG4 and enable IWDG4 Reset Interrupt in EXTI2. Now I see it loop into the IWDG4_RST_IRQHandler. But M33 not reset. Can anyone help to figure it out? Thanks a lot
HiI have STM32MP157F-DK2 board and I am following StarterPackage Wiki document.(https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/index.php/STM32MP15_Discovery_kits_-_Starter_Package) I am following wiki and my STM32MP157F-DK2 board is not entering DFU mode. Here are the steps I tried to enter DFU mode. DeepSwitch is set to off and I am using 5V 3A charger for power. I connected OTG cable and inserted microSD into slot, turned on power and pressed Reset button. However, when I execute 'STM32_Programmer_CLI -l usb' command on PC, only 'No STM32 device in DFU mode connected' response is returned. What did I miss? I tested it on Windows PC and Ubuntu 20.04 PC respectively. Any help is very appreciated, thank you,

We're moving to the latest scarthgap release (v24.11.06) of the ST distro (building from yocto). We have a custom board.Generating the device tree from STM32CubeMX 6.13.0 no longer seems to define the pinctrl settings in the device tree?I clicked the option to migrate the .ioc file.Apart from a few whitespace changes, the device tree differs only in terms of missing pinctrl configuration. This doesn't seem right to me, I don't see where else that is being defined and will be required for our pin muxing. The STM32M4 firmware base code also output is missing configuration for the GPIO?Why are there no Pinctrl definitions any more? Is there a configuration, or is STM32CubeMX broken? I've reinstalled it and the packages.(we migrated .ioc file and regenerated the device tree successfully several times for mickledore)

Hi Team,There are two version of OSTL i.e. v4.0.0 STM32 MPU OpenSTLinux release note - v4.0.0 - stm32mpu-ecosystem-v4 and v4.1.0 STM32 MPU OpenSTLinux release note - v4.1.0 - stm32mpu-ecosystem-v4. what is difference between them both are at 5.15.x kernel and using Kirkstone? Is OSTL v4.1.0/v4.1.1/v4.1.2 backward compatible with v4.0.0/v4.0.1/v4.0.2? @OlivierK Thank you.
