Hello We are Working on STM32MP257F-DK Board using Buildroot. We have built buildroot using the below link as referral. https://bootlin.com/blog/updated-buildroot-support-for-stm32mp1-and-stm32mp2-platforms-st-bsp-v6-0/ While verifying USB , we observed that USB storage devices are not detected in U-Boot(2023.10-stm32mp-r1), whereas they are successfully detected and working in Linux. We have attached the screenshot for reference. If this Version of U-Boot doesn't work for USB.Could you please suggest us the version that works for USB and Ethernet in STM32MP257F-DK Board. Thanks & Regards Akshitha Pattem

I am new to building images using Yocto. I am working with an STM32MPU157F, which comes with OpenSTLinux by default. The default image includes Python 3.12.4, but I also need to have Python 3.11.5 available on the image. My end goal is to have both Python versions installed in a single image and ran a AI application.
Hello everyone,I'm currently working with an STM32MP157F-DK2 device, and I need to change the MAC address. I'm building the image using bitbake, but I've encountered an issue when trying to modify the MAC address through OTP cells linkHere’s the output I get when checking the OTP values: STM32MP> fuse sense 0 57 2Sensing bank 0:Word 0x00000039: e17ae710 0000c393 STM32MP> fuse sense 0 58 2Sensing bank 0:Word 0x0000003a: 0000c393 12724303 STM32MP> env print ethaddrethaddr=10:e7:7a:e1:93:c3 STM32MP> fuse sense 0 0x10000039 2Sensing bank 0:Word 0x10000039: 40000000 40000000 As you can see, the current MAC address is 10:e7:7a:e1:93:c3, and the OTP cells are already programmed and locked. I tried to change the MAC address using the fuse prog command, but the OTP cells are locked, and I cannot modify them.Is there any way to change the MAC address on a locked OTP cell? Is it possible to unlock the OTP or reset it somehow?Additionally, I’m building the imag
Hi there,I plan to run an RTOS on the A7 core. Any recommendations? Many thanks, csm
Hello, I am trying to interface the STM32MP157 to a dual die NAND. The STM32MP257 is connected to an SSD via the PCIe interface. I should How to configure the device tree or relevant Linux drivers to access the hard drive?my PCIe DT reference :PCIe 内部外设 - stm32mpu
Hi,when the STM32MP257F cores are running a regular Linux: how can I start some code on the M33 core? Is there a device/interface available within Linux that allows to send some code to this core and execute it? Or do they share some memory? So how is it working practically? Thanks :)
Hi,I wanted to disable JTAG from production board by fusing OTP permantantly.I am trying with BSEC registers & OTP mapping. I am unable to write to any BSEC registers & doesn't change any value from uboot. Also tried with fuse but still same results. Do I need to remove any interlock first to update BSEC registers, Also, by default how JTAG is enabled? Thanks.Girish
EnvironmentSTM32MP157 board using I2C touch controller: ECO 5.0Problem descriptionTouch data reporting:[1] evtest with the touch driver loaded: X and Y coordinates are correct [2] w/o touch driver but I2c enabled and read I2C data from the touch controller via I2C correctly: X/Y coordinates are correct[3] with the driver and Using gtk client app using standard gtk api's to get touch events: inversed x. This question is a based on of a support ticket due to more knowledge persons from ST may answer this on the forum. Hope someone can help.Any specific reason to use this type of LVDS connector instead of 40pin FPC ? (less costly connector and cable, easier for development)Do you have recommended LVDS cable to ST's LVDS LCD ? I-PEX 81422-100B-02-D ? or what does ST use for testing/development ?Any recommendation for any LVDS to FPC 0.5mm pitch conversion cable ?What is the part-number of the LVDS receptable on the board. Is it I-PEX 20455-040E or another brand ?Is it the same connector on LCD side ? if not, what connector is used at the LCD side ?What is the suggestion for the LVDS plug on the cable ? I-PEX 20453 ?It seems there isn't a standard for LVDS cable pinout, correct ? Is there any standard or reference ST used for the pin assignment ?

Hello,I am trying to run a project I made on M33 on STM32MP257F-EV1. However, I am having trouble setting up OpenAMP on M33.After enabling openAMP in the .ioc file of STM32CubeIDE (version 1.18.0) and generating the project, running it, it stops at the code 'while(resource_table.vring1.da != VRING_RX_ADDRESS)'.in rsc_table.c in main.cdmesg when m33 launch sequence. Thanks!
I have the STM32MP157C-DK2, and I plan to make a user board. Before creating a user board, I have a question.1. I want to know how to debug Cortex-M4 firmware on the user board. GDB debug is used in No. 7 in the link below.https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP157x-DK2/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-M4/Modify,_rebuild_and_reload_a_firmwareIn STM32CubeIDE, STM32MP157C-DK2 can debug the firmware through ST-LINK MCU (OpenOCD), but there is no ST-LINK MCU on the user board, so I am curious about how to debug in STM32CubeIDE. Is debugging by connecting Segger J-link or ST-LINK (V2/V3) to the user board? I want to know if it is possible and how to do it if possible.
Hello We have a few queries regarding the use of ST-Link for debugging, and I would greatly appreciate your assistance in this matter. We are currently using a J-Link Base probe for debugging the STM32MP157F processor in SEGGER EMBEDDED STUDIO, and we are successfully performing multi-core debugging with the J-Link.Could you please confirm if ST-Link can be used to debug the A7 core in SEGGER Embedded Studio? If so, could you kindly provide the necessary settings or configuration required for debugging using ST-Link, as well as the process for performing multi-core debugging with ST-Link?We are also planning to work with the STM32MP257 processor in the near future. Could you please recommend an ST-Link model that is compatible with both the STM32MP157F and STM32MP257F processors? Thanks & RegardsAkshitha Pattem
Simple question:If i'm right the serial number returned by cat /sys/firmware/devicetree/base/serial-number is the UID from BSEC. Where is the code responsible for setting this value? I've seen the function get_board_serial in u-boot but it doesnt seem to be implement for the stm32mp1 board.
I ran into some issues porting the security package for STM32MP157My project was based on arm compiler 5, because cubeMX generated this version, but the MDK part of the self-test library I downloaded from the official was based on arm compiler 6, so I could not transplant the self-test library to my project. Is there any solution?
Hello, I have a problem with UART reaction time under Linux.I need to detect frame break/error situation and send a byte as reaction.I use following configuration of serial port for Linux:tty.c_cflag &= ~PARENB;tty.c_cflag &= ~CSTOPB;tty.c_cflag &= ~CSIZE;tty.c_cflag |= CS8;tty.c_cflag &= ~CRTSCTS;tty.c_cflag |= CREAD | CLOCAL;tty.c_lflag &= ~ICANON;tty.c_lflag &= ~ECHO;tty.c_lflag &= ~ECHOE;tty.c_lflag &= ~ECHONL;tty.c_lflag &= ~ISIG;tty.c_iflag &= ~(IXON | IXOFF | IXANY);tty.c_iflag &= ~(IGNBRK|BRKINT|INLCR|IGNCR|ICRNL|IGNPAR|ISTRIP);tty.c_iflag |= INPCK|PARMRK;tty.c_oflag &= ~OPOST;tty.c_oflag &= ~ONLCR;tty.c_cc[VTIME] = 0;tty.c_cc[VMIN] = 0;If I set sender speed to 115200 and send one zero byte, on the receiver side (configured to speed 230400) I get frame error byte sequence(3 bytes): 0xFF, 0, 0.It is what I need.The problem is time point of error detection. I toggle in the serial driver GPIO pin over uart_handle_break(stm32_usar
Hello,I'm trying to generate code from a CubeMX project for STM32MP257f-ev1: my concern is that I've turn on PLLs from CubeMx Clock Configuration tab but code for PLLs clock configuration is not generated in SystemClock_Config function. In main.c I get only the following:void SystemClock_Config(void){__HAL_RCC_MCO1KERCLK_SETSOURCE(RCC_MCO1CLKOUTPUTSOURCE_CLK_MCO1);}Maybe I missed something but I can't find out, can someone please help me?In attachment you can find the project .ioc fileMarco.
Hello,I am trying to create a project from STMcubeIDE (v1.16.1) for STM32MP257-DK and would like to load a .tflite model on Cortex M33 and run inference to the model. However, when I was creating the project, I brows to my test model from the .ioc file and when I tried to Analyze, It throws the "stm32mp2 component is not available, please install" error. I double checked that the stm32mp2 is already installed. Can anyone please let me know if I am missing anything here. Below are the images for error logs and stm32mp2 installed image.Error image:stm32mp2 installed image:Thank you.

Hi everyone,We have developed a custom board based on stm32mp157 mpu. We have used openstlinux distribution and the branch is "kirkstone". We have interfaced edt_ft5x06 display. Display is working perfectly fine but problem arises when we try to interact with the touch. It is completely unresponsive. With "evtest" in Linux kernel I do not see any touch event. Devicetree entry for my touch-screen is following: touchscreen@38 { compatible ="edt,edt-ft5406"; reg = <0x38>; interrupts = <2 2>; interrupt-parent = <&gpiof>; interrupt-controller; touchscreen-size-x = <480>; touchscreen-size-y = <800>; vcc-supply = <&v3v3>; iovcc-supply = <&v3v3>; status = "okay"; }; If I look thorough the dmesg, then I get following entry: [ 2.081938] input: EP0700M12 as /devices/platform/soc/40012000.i2c/i2c-0/0-0038/input/input0 Also I have following entry for the interrupt: cat /proc/interrupt
