I need assistance building the https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/meta-st-stm32mpu-app-logicanalyser project. I have the Distribution-Package building successfully, but when I follow the instructions for the example meta layer, I get the following:| backend.c:49:10: fatal error: gtk/gtk.h: No such file or directory| #include <gtk/gtk.h>| ^~~~~~~~~~~| compilation terminated.I’ve tried a manual “bitbake gtk+3? to no avail. I’ve also tried uncommenting line 7 of https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/meta-st-stm32mpu-app-logicanalyser/blob/thud/recipes-graphics/st-software/logic-analyser-backend/Makefile.
Hi all,If I dedicate the MCU SRAM2 for data and MCU SRAM4 for DMA as shown here, do I get CCM like performance or do I have a risk to have contention on the SRAM2 ?After looking at the bus matrix, I suspect there is no risk but I want to make sure it is the case.
Hi There,When the STPMIC1 goes into POWER_ON ALTERNATE mode via the PWRCTRL pin, does the activation of other Turn-ON condition sources like PONKEY or WAKEUP pins will have a resulting effect to the state of POWER_ON mode? (i.e. also triggers the PMIC back to POWER_ON MAIN mode etc?)Thanks,Regards,Steven
Hello, We are building a custom board using STM32MP157A-DK1 and we want to boot the board using EMMC of 4GB.Now I am looking for the procedure to partition the EMMC flash the yocto image in to the EMMC partition. Can Anyone help me to know how to do these.RegardsSrikanth.
Hi,I am using STM32MP1 and setup STM32MP1_artificial_intelligence_expansion_packages to run AI algorithm.Could you please guide me on: Is there any recommendation on which camera to use for AI application from ST side? Can I use Raspberry Pi camera or something like that with STM32MP1?Thanking you,Saurabh
Hi,I have followed the steps described here https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP1_artificial_intelligence_expansion_packages to setup AI package on STM32MP1. Everything is working fine. However, I have my own object detector model file i.e. model.tflite file. I know there are two ways to run object detector model 1) using Python code and 2) using C/C++ code. I tried to run my object detector model using above both approaches. Model works fine with python code but it doesn't detect anything using C/C++ code. I used the following command to run object detector using python code:root@stm32mp1:/usr/local/demo-ai/ai-cv#python3 python/objdetect_tfl_multiprocessing.py -m models/model.tflite -l models/labels.txt -i models/images/Similarly I used the following command to run object detector using C/C++ code:root@stm32mp1:/usr/local/demo-ai/ai-cv/bin# ./objdetect_tfl_gst_gtk -m ../models /model.tflite -l ../models/labels.txt -i ../models/images/In my opinion C/C++ code should take less infer

Hi all,I understand that it is possible to interface a CSI2 camera sensor with the camera interface of STM32MP1 using STMIPID02 chipset. Even-though this later support 2 cameras, I'd like to know that it is feasible from the MPU's point of view ?Thanks in advance,Khang
I am tring to rebuild kenel for STM32MP157C-DK2 using below url. https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP157C-DK2/Develop_on_Arm%C2%AE_Cortex%C2%AE-A7/Modify,_rebuild_and_reload_the_Linux%C2%AE_kernelAfter I did 5.4 but it does not work and stop to this point ( root device /dev/mmcblk0p6...).Let me know how to can rebuild kernel for working. I'd like to connect one USB port to the RTOS, running on the Cortex-M4. According CubeMX this is not possible (no square availble to tick). Is this really not possible?According the datasheet (DS12505 Rev3, page 19, 'Block Diagram'):USBH is connected to AXIM bus, but the corresponding arrow is blue (= AHB ).The USB OTG I can not find there.According same datasheet (page 36, 'Bus Matirx'):USBH is connected to AXIMUSBO is connected to MLAHBThis is not clear to me.Denise
Hi,In order to compile c-project directly on STM32MP157C-DK2 I've installed GCC 8.2.0 on the board but cannot manage installing libc6-dev library (or any other suitable one).Could you please help me to figure out the proper way how to do?For now I'm getting the following message when trying to do via apt-get.Package libc6-dev is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, oris only available from another source.Kind regards,Alexander Iotko
Hello,I have followed this link: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/X-LINUX-AI-CV_OpenSTLinux_expansion_package and successfully flashed STM32MP157c-dk2 device with AI OpenCV image. Now, I am trying to install python package scipy on the device. But it throws error that "unable to execute arm-openstlinux_wetson-linux-gnueabi-gcc: No such file or directory" and "error: command arm-openstlinux_wetson-linux-gnueabi-gcc failed with exit status 1"Could you please guide me? How can I install a python package on a device once the device is booted with AI OpenCV package.Thanking you,Saurabh
Hello all,I have a STM32MP157C-DK2, and I want to use the minimal st-image-core.I have been able to use/build "st-image-weston", and when its starts, I can see my board on the local network, ifconfig says me eth0 has an ip address and I can ssh it.When I build "st-image-core", and successfully boot the board, I can't see it on lan. ifconfig doesnt show eth0.Can someone tell me why?command used:DISTRO=openstlinux-weston MACHINE=stm32mp1 source layers/meta-st/scripts/envsetup.shbitbake st-image-westonDISTRO=openstlinux-weston MACHINE=stm32mp1 source layers/meta-st/scripts/envsetup.shbitbake st-image-core
I can select stm32mp157 in cubemx, but I can't configure peripherals.will it possible in future? When? Can I make projects with TouchGFX for mp157 with cube MX in future I want to use this module http://www.myirtech.com/list.asp?id=624
Why after$ source ./layers/meta-st/scripts/envsetup.shaliases is empty? What for?
I have a recipe for a simple QT5 UI app that builds and runs on the STM32MP157C-DK2 display just fine. When the simple app is enhanced to provide network connectivity by including the QTcpServer, QTcpSocket, QNetworkInterface and QMessageBox amongst others, bitbake fails with :-QMessageBOX : No such file or directory. The qt.io site indicates that QMessageBox is provided by QtWidgets but I can't find how to map that to a recipe DEPEND within open embedded framework.Similarly, QTcpServer is listed as being provided by network. Please could someone let me know how to determine the required recipe DEPENDS.And whether I need to include more of QT5 within the openstlinux build environment. Thanks in advance.
I have seen some stm32mp157 boards from third parties do have a backup 3VDC battery attached to their RTCs, so it won't lose the time when powered off. Is there any way to connect a backup battery to the RTC circuit on the stm32mp157c-dk2 board?-albertr
I need to customize the TF-A en.SOURCES-tf-a-stm32mp1-openstlinux-4.19-thud-mp1-19-10-09.tar.xzOur custom board have a different pin selection for UART4 debug as you can see below, the UART4_TX pin is not on the STM32_PINMUX('G', 11, AF6), but is on the STM32_PINMUX('A', 0, AF8). Our expectations were to have the system booting simply changing the line below in the file fdts/stm32mp157-pinctrl.dtsi uart4_pins_a: uart4@0 { pins1 { - pinmux = <STM32_PINMUX('G', 11, AF6)>; /* UART4_TX STM32MP157C-DK2 */ + pinmux = <STM32_PINMUX('A', 0, AF8)>; /* UART4_TX CUSTOM*/ bias-disable; drive-push-pull; slew-rate = <0>; };However I see that in plat/st/stm32mp1/stm32mp1_helper.S there is a func plat_crash_console_init who wants to use #define GPIO_TX_SHIFT (DEBUG_UART_TX_GPIO_PORT << 1) #define GPIO_TX_ALT_SHIFT ((DEBUG_UART_TX_GPIO_PORT - GPIO_ALT_LOWER_LIMIT) << 2)Those macros come from plat/st/stm32mp1/stm32mp1_def.h where I have /* For UART crash consol
On most cases the script "create_sdcard_from_flashlayout.sh" futile. Built-in card reader today is preliminary remains on notebooks. As result very often a sd-card used over a usb adapter. On a remote virtual machines always it will be used over a card reader. What do you do to resolve the problem? Or STM32CubeProgrammer solves the problem?
Hi all,i want to use some hardware peripherals in OP-TEE. I got the GPIO driver (stm32_gpio in core/drivers) to work with my PTA (Pseudo Trusted Application). I now wanna use the I2C peripheral using the stm32_i2c driver.I coundn't find any example code (for the GPIO neither), is there somewhere an example of how to use the drivers from a PTA?EDIT: I was able to configure the I2C peripheral with the driver, i missed the GPIO configuration. Some documentation of the OP-TEE drivers would be a nice feature for the future nevertheless =)
We brought stm32Mp157C-DK2 board for our prototype testing. I can able to work on the A7 and M4 also ran examples. After 3 days of our work the Ethernet communication is not working. The LED's on the connector is not glowing. I check in Linux terminal with dmesg there is no controller detection . When I reboot the system and check the initial dmesg the output is like this on my linux host sytem using minicom: root@stm32mp1:~# dmesg | grep eth[ 0.000000] psci: probing for conduit method from DT.[ 1.575436] stm32-dwmac 5800a000.ethernet: PTP uses main clock[ 1.579819] stm32-dwmac 5800a000.ethernet: no reset control found[ 1.586023] stm32-dwmac 5800a000.ethernet: No phy clock provided...[ 1.601232] stm32-dwmac 5800a000.ethernet: User ID: 0x40, Synopsys ID: 0x42[ 1.606799] stm32-dwmac 5800a000.ethernet: DWMAC4/5[ 1.611707] stm32-dwmac 5800a000.ethernet: DMA HW capability register supported[ 1
How can I make these LEDs work on stm32mp157-dk2 board? Ethernet interface is working fine, but both link and activity LEDs are always OFF. I need to have a visual confirmation that Ethernet has some TX/RX activity and thus need these LEDs working. Anyone got an idea?-albertr
