Hello,I'm trying to add a python GTK application I created to the startup using systemd. In order to do so I created the following gatewayservice.service file:[Unit] Description=Gateway service Requires=graphical.target After=graphical.target [Service] Type=idle ExecStart=/bin/bash /usr/bin/gateway_service.sh [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.targetI am able to manually start the service usingsystemctl start gatewayserviceBut when I try to add it to startup and reboot it doesn't launch automatically.I think I'm getting the requirements wrong in the service file but I'm not sure what to put instead.
Hello , New year 2021 Greetings:party_popper: ! Hope you all are doing great !Looking at the FreeRTOS wiki , there is no support for Cortex - A7?Is there an alternate port available for FreeRTOS for Cortex A7? or some customization for the same?what is the recommendation? Thanks and Regards,Have a great Decade !!D

HelloIn many instances (TF-A, U-Boot, Kernel, FlashLayout_emmc.tsv ...) it is assumed that there is an SD card called "mmc0" and optionally an eMMC "mmc1". Now we ONLY have an eMMC and NO SD. This means that the eMMC is called "mmc0" and not "mmc1". As a result, U-Boot does not boot the correct kernel, the kernel cannot find the root partition, the wrong mmc1 is in the flash layout_emmc, etc. I "just" have to look how to get the patches into the Yocto build system. I have another place where I overwrite the "boot_instance" with 0 in the source code. I would prefer a corresponding configuration so that the source code does not have to be patched. It is not yet clear to me who sets the "boot_instance". In boot mode 0xb010, this is 1 and is then translated (incorrectly) into mmc1 in "bootcmd". U-Boot recognizes the eMMC as mmc0, which means that the UBoot environment cannot be read because it is expected on mmc1.Does anyone have a solution?
Hello ST Community,I was following below link,https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_integrate_AWS_IoT_Greengrass_on_top_of_openSTLinux_distribution#cite_note-3I found that I have to buy STPM4RasPI extension board. The board is not available on mouser and digikey.when I followed the given link https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/stpm4raspi.html#overviewIt shows there is no quantity available and I am also confused which to buy for my STM32MP1-DK2 board. Please help me to find one from Thanhks,Nikunj
Hi STI have a question when setting the ADC Clock on the M4 Core side. The STM32MP151C datasheet states that the ADC Clock can be set up to 36Mhz.When the AHB clock is 200Mhz, what clock will it work with if I set "ADC ClockPrescaler" to "ADC_CLOCK_SYNC_PCLK_DIV4"?When calculated, ADC Clock is 50Mhz.However, the maximum operating clock in the datasheet is 36Mhz.Which ADC clock will it work with?I would be grateful if you could tell me the answer.RegardsMachilus
what does MPU_InitStruct.TypeExtField ? mean only three options available #define MPU_TEX_LEVEL0 ((uint8_t)0x00)#define MPU_TEX_LEVEL1 ((uint8_t)0x01)#define MPU_TEX_LEVEL2 ((uint8_t)0x02)does it mean only 3 set of HAL_MPU_ConfigRegion(&MPU_InitStruct); can be called?is any of many macros can be repeated or if HAL_MPU_ConfigRegion can be called more than three times with multiple regions?
We have own MP157 based module and it sometimes hangs after NRST during debug. It doesn't respond to JTAG DAP, further NRST pulses doesn't help but NRST_CORE helps. It seems as errata "Incorrect reset of glitch-free kernel clock switch". We tried sw workaround (QSPI clk src=per_ck) but it doesn't help. Thus we tried hw workaround - connect NRST+NRST_CORE (as we use simple smps chip to power core). But the MP1 is stuck in reset - NRST(_CORE) are at GND. Both VDD (1V8) and VCORE (1V2) are up. Once I disconnect NRST from NRST_CORE (while still powered) it immediatelly boots. I also scoped the signals - after power is turned on, NRST_CORE goes up, followed by NRST after 10ms. When connected together, they sit at 0 all the time. Chip revision is 0x2000. Any idea ? Thanks, Martin
Hi, I am using stm32F767zi controller board with STONE 15" display. We are having trouble receiving data from the LCD panel. When we try to receive registry entry (8 Bytes) the system works fine, but when we try to read the variable register, the received (9 Bytes) are not being received correctly. we are using 2 different integer arrays for receiving 8 bytes and 9 bytes of data. Following is the sample codeuint8_t read_var[7]= {0xA5, 0x5A, 0x04, 0x83, 0x00, 0x00}; uint8_t read_page[6]= {0xA5, 0x5A, 0x03, 0x81, 0x03, 0x02}; uint8_t read_sc_rcv[8];uint8_t buff[9]; // Register transmit & receiveHAL_UART_Transmit(&huart3, read_page, 6, 100);HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&huart3, read_sc_rcv,8);//Variable transmit & receiveHAL_UART_Transmit(&huart3, read_var, 7, 100);HAL_UART_Receive_IT(&huart3, buff,9);Thank You
dts:in M4:I find the SPI1 doesn't work.

I want to create my own machine.I'm trying to create with reference to following Wiki Page.https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_create_your_own_machineIn "2 Generate device tree" in the wiki page, I need to set device tree from STM32CubeMX to "mx" directory. However, OpenSTLinux Distribution Package (openstlinux-20-02-19) that I have install has no "mx" directory in "meta-st-stm32mp-addons".Do I need any other steps to create "mx" directory in "meta-st-stm32mp-addons" automatically? And, in the case that I want to change kernel or u-boot or tf-a device tree, all I need is to change device tree in "mx" directory?Do I need any other steps to reflect the change of device tree setting? For reference, I have tried to create "mx" directory manually and set device tree to "mx" directory, but bitbake failed.(Error message shows "No rule to make target arch/arm/boot/dts/xxxxxxxx.dtb")Best regards,H. I'm using FreeRTOS v10.2.1, CMSIS RTOS v1 main.c (generated by CubeMX) has:...osThreadDef(defaultTask, StartDefaultTask, osPriorityNormal, 0, 128);...where osPriorityNormal is zero as defined in cmsis_os.hI spawn all other tasks using the FreeRTOS xTaskCreate call where task priority is from 0..MAX_PRIORITIES-1. How does FreeRTOS task priority maps to CMSIS task priority if it maps at all? The reason i ask is that if i keep StartDefaultTask alive, how does it get scheduled against those tasks created with xTaskCreate?
I am using STM32CubeIDE v1.4.2 on Ubuntu 18.04.05 with an STM32MP157C-DK2. The board is running the V2 Starter Kit image. If I set the boot switches to 'Reserved' (Boot 0 = 0, Boot2 = 1) I can program the M4 and step through the code. However, if I set the switches to 'Engineering Mode' (Boot0 = 0, Boot2 = 0) as ST suggests I cannot.Does anyone have any idea why I cannot run M4 code in 'Engineering Mode'? The issue seems to be 'external reset detected'. After this message there are timeout messages. This is the console output when I attempt to load and debug M4 code in 'Engineering Mode':Open On-Chip Debugger 0.10.0+dev-g30d1303 (2020-06-18-09:11)Licensed under GNU GPL v2For bug reports, read http://openocd.org/doc/doxygen/bugs.htmlsrst_only srst_pulls_trst srst_gates_jtag srst_open_drain connect_deassert_srstInfo : Listening on port 6666 for tcl connectionsInfo : Listening on port 4444 for telnet connectionsInfo : STLINK V2J37M26 (API v2) VID:PID 0483:3752Info : Target voltage: 3.2199
Hello Guys.I made a custom board from the EV1 circuit base, removing unnecessary parts.(Most of them are the same as the EV1. Only parts that are not in use have been removed.)And after creating Device Tree using CubeMX, I succeeded in making my image.(EMMC's circuit connection and Device Tree are the same as EV1.)But my board can't boot to EMMC if I remove the RJ45 connection. If booting without RJ45 connection (Ethernet), I can check the following message.(The same message could be confirmed even after power reset.)DRAM: 1 GiB Clocks: - MPU : 800 MHz - MCU : 208.878 MHz - AXI : 266.500 MHz - PER : 0 MHz - DDR : 533 MHz Fastboot key pressed, STM32Programmer key pressed, entering download mode... I am not using OTG (Only host USB's) in the PCB I connected OTG_VBUS to GND. Is this problematic? I saw that it should be left open but not sure if it is connected internally

Hi,I tried to follow setup for secure boot as detailed here: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP15_secure_bootI'm working with Linux host PC running Ubuntu 18.04The 1st thing was to try generating keys. For this I tried to use "STM32MP_KeyGen_CLI" previously installed with STM32CubeProgrammer. (Note: STM32_Programmer_CLI installed is v2.1.0 )A first note here, https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/KeyGen_tool indicates keygen tool is named "STM32AP_KeyGen_CLI.sh" and is a script whereas it is "STM32MP_KeyGen_CLI" available in STM32CubeProgrammer bin folder and it is a Linux executable.Simply running STM32MP_KeyGen_CLI with --version gives the following ouput:~~~~$ ./STM32MP_KeyGen_CLI -v ------------------------------------------------------------------- STM32MP Key Generator v1.0.0 &nbs
Hi supporter,I use STM32Cube v1.10 on macos(Mojave) and linux(debian 9). The debug dialog has load mode option to choose production or engineering mode in stm32cubeide on linux system. But that dialog hasn't the load mode on macos.Below picture is debug dialog on macos.Does any thing I am missing to setup for stm32cubeide?
I want to use a SIP with ST32MP153 and it uses PC13 to PMIC wakeup, PC1 is used for MDC so I'm left with only PI8 so can't use active tamper.I sit possible to use Ethernet without MDC so I can use PC1 for active tamper with PI8?
I use STM32MP151CAA3 Cortex-M4 on my custom board.I have created Linux image running on my custom board. In the case that the SD card is inserted for the first time, Linux image is running successfully. However, in the case that I turn power off and power on with the SD card inserted, boot fails despite using the same SD card.Is there a difference when power on and when the SD card is inserted for the first time, such as the files to read? What should I investigate to solve this problem?Best Regards,H. Masuda
