Hi,We are using stm32mp157c MCU/board and it has DSI output built-in. Now we want to add display port support via DSI to eDP bridge SN65DSI86. It seems that stm32 does not support Displayport output or it has never been done. At least the driver dw_mipi_dsi-stm.c should be updated not to require a panel. Any idea how this can be achieved please?

I'd try to follow a step of Installing the SDK in Ubuntu (which is on Raspberry pi 4 Model B 4GB using 26GB SD card)in step 4 Run the SDK installation script I get an Error Error: incompatible SDK installer! your host is aarch64 and this SDK was built for x86_64 hosts. What does it mean and how can I fix itThe main goal of this project is to try to run python (with the library) on STM32MP157F-DK, I have two ideas 1. Follow the step and put it with .py instead of .c (no idea with install a library)2. Install Linux in STM32MP157F-DK and run python on it (need some guild also)So here I have 3 questionThank STM for letting me ask a question here.
Hi there. I'm a professor of computer science at a university in Germany. Our main focus is cyber security. I'm currently looking into exploring options with STM for teaching various security mechanisms and, in particular, interested in using the STM32MP157F-DK2 in classrooms. However, I failed to find any information of how to establish an official contact to STM to discuss various details. If someone could help me out, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch! Regards, JB
Good morning,I am trying to setup STM32CubeIDE to work on an offline computer, I do not have the option to connect it to the internet. Installing the SDK through the IDE works fine and I am able to import the OpenSTLinux source projects (Linux, U-Boot, TF-A/SP-Min and Op-TEE). but this is not what I need. What I really need is to have the same result in an offline environment, this is what I do:1) Install OpenSTLinux SDK via script as explained in the Developer Package instructions.2) Install STM32CubeIDE 1.8.0/1.9.03) Configure STM32CubeIDE Preferences menu for "STM32Cube->OpenSTLinux SDK Manager" to point to my SDK installed in step 1 4) Install FW Package for stm32mp1From this point I am able to create projects and compile for stm32mp1But I am not able to import the OpenSTLinux Source projectsI am working with the stm32mp1 MPU (stm32mp157f-ev1 board) and I tried using STMCubeIDE 1.8.0 and 1.9.0 versions with the same results. How can I install offline the SDK so the STM32CubeIDE is

Hi, we using the STM32MP157 custom board in this we are developing the bare metal drivers for the all the peripherals. Now we are able to send and receive the character on UART4 perfectly. But when we are configuring for the interrupt mode it's only forwarding the Rx event till GICD (pending state). But i had seen the Linux drivers for the UART4 in that wakeup event is activated i think this may be the issue. To activate wakeup event in the UART4 we need to enable the EVENT30. To enable the event30 what is the procedure. please let us know.
I was trying to install OpenSTLinux distribution. I am using ubuntu 20.04 for my host machine. Firstly I init repo with this command:repo init -u <LINK FOR GIT ST OE MANIFEST > -b refs/tags/openstlinux-5.15-yocto-kirkstone-mp1-v22.06.15 then when I try to repo sync. I get following error for almost everythingerror: garbage at end of loose object '543a1d1527d04f297b90ec25658f8dc71f3d0782'fatal: loose object 543a1d1527d04f297b90ec25658f8dc71f3d0782 (stored in /home/gencay/STM32MPU_workspace/openstlinux-5.15-yocto-kirkstone-mp1-v22.06.15/.repo/project-objects/openembedded-core.git/objects/54/3a1d1527d04f297b90ec25658f8dc71f3d0782) is corruptopenembedded-core: sleeping 4.0 seconds before retrying
Hi,I am using Cortex A7 processor GIC V2 for Interrupt handling. I configured GICC and GICD both. I enabled timer and interrupt for timer also. After enabling timer i can able to see pending status in GICD but It is not routing to A7 core. For this what may be the reason?
Hi,I am using STM32MP153a SOC.Linux kernel version is 5.4.56 (openstlinux-5.4-dunfell-mp1-20-11-12).I would like to generate square signal of 50-200 uS on a certain GPIO every 40 ms using Linux kernel. Also ,at this point I need to read certain registers. What are my options? If there is already an example/application note on the subject, please let me know.I was looking into these options:1)I have already a working timer on my system, which is arm arch timer. It's already generating interrupts ( I can see that number of interrupts is increasing in /proc/interrupts).The question is how do I configure it to generate interrupt every 40 ms and I how do I generate callback to have my registers reading.2)TIM6/TIM12 -STM32 timer. As far as I could see, current examples - pwm, counter, trigger ,does not fit my needs , since they don't have any form of periodic interrupt.PWM example is the closest to what I need - it possibly could generate a signal that I need, but it doesn't have an option to have an
I noticed that some ST Cpus support large amounts of RAM. Does this mean that they would run Linux, too. Are there any demo boards and such. Our volumes are 100-400 per year, if we ever start building our own Linux boards.
I need to store a password for encryption in otp registers. I configured device tree in tfa:&bsec{ status = "okay"; secure-status = "okay"; enc_pass: enc_pass@0x170 { reg = <0x170 0x10>; st,non-secure-otp; };};&nvmem_layout { nvmem-cells = <&enc_pass>; nvmem-cell-names = "enc_pass";};And in uboot and kernel:&bsec{ status = "okay"; enc_pass: enc_pass@0x170 { reg = <0x170 0x10>; st,non-secure-otp; };};NVMEM is configured in kernel defconfig. I can read and write to set otp register in uboot, but i cant read data in linux.I tried this: hexdump -C -v /sys/bus/nvmem/devices/stm32-romem0/nvmemanddd if=/sys/bus/nvmem/devices/stm32-romem0/nvmem of=/tmp/fileAnd i have that error:stm32-romem 5c005000.efuse: Can't read data32 (-5)hexdump: /sys/bus/nvmem/devices/stm32-romem0/nvmem: Input/output error
Hi,I created a project in Cube-IDE . It is a simple PWM timer Project which planned to be run on A7 processor of the STM32MP1 . I established configurations in Cube-MX and generated the code into the Cube IDE. After that, I moved the .dts file which is in the kernel of the CubeIDE project into the linux kernel arch/arm/boot/dts directory. I am following this video which is a simple PWM timer project(ww.youtube.com/watch?v=XhB0rGLjl_Q&list=PLnMKNibPkDnFeV4sBarnsAtFTg7h6V-9_&index=9). However, in this video conversion of dts to dtb is not shown. The board is booted with a pre-ready .dtb file. I am trying to use the "make dtbs" command it won't work. "No rule to make target. I am also creating an another "build directory" which is located on the arch/arm/boot/build .(Another than the kernel source directory.) Should I copy the .dts file of the project into this build directory? and compile dts to dtb in this directory? And what about the Makefile ? Should I also copy this to that
Hello,Is there a way to access the Tamper or backup registers or the backup sram from the MCU? Or is it physically imposible to do so?Edit:I am still looking for an answer, I just saw in the RCC registers that I can enable BKPSRAM bits to:enable the peripheral for MP (RCC_MP_AHB5ENSETR) and MC (RCC_MC_AHB5ENSETR)enable the peripheral for MP (RCC_MP_AHB5LPENSETR) and MC (RCC_MC_AHB5LPENSETR) in low powerDoes this mean the MCU is able to access the BKPSRAM peripheral?Although I do not see a clock enable for the TAMP, is it the same for the tamper (and backup registers)?Best regards,Andrés
I followed the steps on the below webpage to enable Wireless on my STM32MP1. It would be great to see these instructions added to the wiki.st.com http://trac.gateworks.com/wiki/Yocto/Wireless
As we tested, from word 24 to 32, once write 0xFFFFFFFF ( all 32 bit turn to 1), is there any way to set back to 0x00000000?And same for bit 59 to 95 (free for user)?
Example I have array of bytes: 0x1, 0x2, 0x3, 0x4, 0x5, 0x6, 0x7, 0x8....when I use command STM32CubeProgram CLI command, value should be:value = 0x12345678 or:value = 0x78563412 or:value = 0x34127856I saw wiki mention about this few days ago, but could not find where it is for now. Many thanks,(we don't use load binary file from SD to 0xC0000000 and flush it to memory. We would like to use command line for 4 bytes word each time).
I cannot make the Ethernet work on my custom board (STM32MP153CA + automotive Ethernet PHY NXP TJA1101) in U-BOOT (haven't even tried loading kernel). The PHY is connected to an external 25MHz xtal. I'm working with 5-10-dunfell-mp1-21-11-17 files included on the 3.1.0 ecosystem. I tried the ecosystem 4.0.1 but got panic errors with RNG, UARTS, etc. After a few days I gave up and went back to 3.1.0After U-Boot finishes loading, I configure the ethaddr, ipaddr, gatewayip, netmask and serverip, but whatever command I send I got straightaway:STM32MP> ping 192.168.1.6--- net_loop Entry--- net_loop UDP handler set (00000000)--- net_loop ARP handler set (00000000)--- net_loop timeout handler cancelledTrying ethernet@5800a000eqos_start(dev=ddf05618):eqos_start_clks_stm32(dev=ddf05618):clk_enable(clk=ddf07290)stm32mp1_clk_enable: id clock 105 has been enabledclk_enable(clk=ddf072b0)stm32mp1_clk_enable: id clock 104 has been enabledclk_enable(clk=ddf072f0)stm32mp1_clk_enable: id clock 103 ha

We designed original board using STM32MP153D.We cannot boot by U-boot.When booting via USB, the Hash check (hash_sha256_check) of the page in the init_runtime of opte_os fails when booting U-Boot (see console log below). The page that fails is different each time.SD Card Boot does not fail in Hash check. What is the cause and what can I do about it?I/TC: Pager is enabled. Hello, I use the STM32CubeProgrammer to write Stm32mp157c board boot TF card. But it fail. How can I fix this problem?
Hi,We want to develop bare metal application for Stm32mp157A processor. So we need the DDR initialization Source code in bare metal for Stm32mp157A processor. Can you help us in this.
Hi, and yet another question...We would like to perform electrical compliance testing on our USB ports. This requires each port to send a test pattern. Our board has one upstream and two downstream facing ports. The upstream port can be set into various test modes using a standard tool (USB xHSETT). Unfortunately, this is not possible for the downstream ports. Can you give me any advice, how to set a usb host port into the TEST_PACKET test mode?Regards
