When "Middleware and Software Packs" > STM32_WPAN is enabled in CubeMX, a duplicated initialization's code for uwTimclock is generated: That code is outside the if-else block overriding the previous configurations which could produce issues. Any idea about what could be wrong? Note: I attached the .ioc file. Details: CubeMX version: 6.14.0 File: stm32wbaxx_hal_timebase_tim.c
I'm trying to achieve a simple characteristic read from a client device on a STM32WB55 to a server device on a STM32WB35on client side - after connecting I get a HCI_LE_CONNECTION_COMPLETE_SUBEVT_CODE and I keep track of connection_handle in a grobal struct and immediatly calling aci_gatt_disc_all_primary_services()- when receiving ACI_ATT_READ_BY_GROUP_TYPE_RESP_VSEVT_CODE I'm keeping track of my services handles(start and end) in my global struct and out of event handle I'm requesting aci_gatt_disc_all_char_of_service() of the service I'm intrested in- when receiving ACI_ATT_READ_BY_TYPE_RESP_VSEVT_CODE I'm recording the attribute carac handle in mùy global struct and out of event handler I'm calling aci_gatt_read_char_value(ClientContext.connHandle, ClientContext.CaracHandle); the return value is OK and I was hopping for a ACI_ATT_READ_RESP_VSEVT_CODE to pop in my event handler but I get none I'm just receiving a ACI_GATT_ERROR_RESP_VSEVT_CODE with parametersCon
We are developing a product using the STM32WB55 chip and using the S.T W.P.A.N stack. We intend to release our product with a Bluetooth certification / logo, so we need to register our company to get a company I.D right ? Do we need to use the company ID, or do we need to register a 16bit unique U.U.I.D (and pay for it ?). I don't think it's allowed to use the company ID of St Microelectronics, I don't want a lawsuit from either the Bluetooth S.I.G or St Microelectronics, but I also don't want to explain to my boss we have to spend more money if it's not necessary because we are a startup. I also didn't found a way to set / get the company ID from memory or flash. Is it possible to use the S.T W.P.A.N stack to do this or do we need to modify the source code generated by STM32CubeMX directly ?
Dear I hope you are doing well.I would like to confirm if the default antenna power of the STM32WB05KZ board is set to 0 dBm ? Additionally, could you please guide me on how to modify this power setting?Thank you in advance for your support. I look forward to your response.Best regards,
HelloI have a question, please. I am planning to use a Bluetooth module, and since I am required to apply potting, could you let me know which antenna is less affected by it: the chip antenna or the PCB antenna?thanks
I am using stm32WLE5CCU6 chip from ST, but I can't connect 2 chips together using lora. Can you give me sample program for this chip?
Hi to all!We are developing a low-cost application, with in mind STM32WBA52KE, which use a 32 pin package.Due to short number of pin, we would use pin 12 and 13 as GPIO, so we should not use the LSE.Is it possible to manage the BLE stack without LSE, using LSI2? If yes, which kind of limitation we will have?I can't find the right answer on documentation, can you help me?Thank you very much in advance.
Hi!I am trying to reproduce some examples and got stuck at simple sensor. The example code is working fine on my P-Nucleo-wb55, but if I am trying to reproduce i with CubeMX i've got failedCode is simply stuck at void shci_cmd_resp_wait(uint32_t timeout){ UNUSED(timeout); UTIL_SEQ_WaitEvt(1U << CFG_EVT_SYSTEM_HCI_CMD_EVT_RESP); return;}I’ve tried to compare example ioc file and mine and can't find something Could, someone, please help me find what I've missed?
Hello, please, can I put the power antenna configuration to the maximum 8dBm? and how? thanks
I'm using the STM32WB55 for BLE communication with an Android device, starting from the BLE example HeartRate monitor with FreeRTOS. Sometimes, when I disconnect from the STM32 using my mobile, I don't always receive the notification callback on the STM32 that the BLE has been disconnected. In 90% of cases, it works fine, but I'm not sure how to solve the remaining 10%. Has anyone encountered this issue? Thank you.
Hi,I'm currently working on a project using multiple B-WB1M-WPAN devices:one acts as BLE Central;the others act as BLE Peripherals.I'm using the STM32_WPAN software package in CubeMX 6.14.My question is: how do I create a Central that is able to interact with Custom services and Characteristics defined on my peripherals?I've already started using the Server profile "Custom Template" on the Peripheral devices; for the Central (Client profile), CubeMX forces me to use the "Custom P2P Client", and both CubeMX and the code don't allow for a great deal of customization.Thank you!
Hello STM Community,I am designing an internal PCB antenna for LoRa communication using the STM32WL55JCI7 at EU868 frequency. Is a PCB antenna recommended by STM for this chip? If so, what guidelines or procedures should I follow for designing a PCB antenna for LoRa communication? Additionally, what range can I expect with an optimized PCB antenna design?Looking forward to your insights. Thanks!
Hello i'm starting programming with stm32, i've bought the stm32wb5mm-dk and with stm32cubemx I've tried to configure the board to create a ble ibeacon. So, now i can see the ibeacon from nrf app but isn't showed the name (N/A ibeacon). How can i see the name?I've to change anything?Sorry i'm really new in this field. Thanks
Please let know how to change Connection Interval. I need to decrease Connection Interval value so data sampling frequency can be increased. STM32WB35 is working in peripheral mode. Thanks
I am currently experimenting with the LL data length extension feature on STM32WB55.I want to increase max TX length in link layer packet.I would appreciate it if you could tell me how to increase max TX length.(Looking at the current LL_LENGTH_RSP packet, Max. RX octets: 251 and Max TX octets: 27 are given.)
BLE_HeartRateFreeRTOS example. There is an event when someone writes to my characteristic. Is there an event when someone reads any of my characteristics?
Hi,not really an issue here, but I want to understand what goes on in my BLE project.I'm using the B-WB1M-WPAN board, starting out from the BLE_HR_p2pSensor example.I see that my device stops advertising after I connect to it, but I can't find in the code where that happens.I discovered that the functions:Adv_Request (through api_gap_set_discoverable)Adv_Cancel (through api_gap_set_non_discoverable)Are used to start and stop advertising.I also noticed that Adv_Cancel is registered as callback for a task here: UTIL_SEQ_RegTask(1<<CFG_TASK_ADV_CANCEL_ID, UTIL_SEQ_RFU, Adv_Cancel); But it seems that Adv_Cancel is never called nor CFG_TSK_ADV_CANCEL_ID is used in a UTIL_SEQ_SetTask call... Nonetheless, by sniffing BLE traffic I see that after a connection my peripheral stops advertising.I tried to look into guides and application notes but I can't find any explanation for this behaviour, can you please help me?

Hi. I'm developing a custom wireless board using STM32WB09TEF7TR microcontroller. Currently, my microcontroller doesn't reset when the VDD supply is turned on. (Power-on-reset, PORRSTF bit)The microcontroller can only be reset by pulling-down the reset pin. Is there any possible reason that causes this kind of behavior?
Communication between two STM32WB55 devices via Bluetooth is not working as expected. Hi everybody,I have a custom board with STM32WB55CGU7 targeting BLE application. I have flashed it with the latest "stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin". On application side I have generated a code based on custom template, with server, pheripheral mode. I can write the device (and toggle a LED), but when I add a charachteristic with notification and I call the "Custom_STM_App_Update_Char(...)" function to update the charachteristic (outside of the BLE callback and the source data is a global variable) I always encounter a hard fault with imprecise error. So, this is the call graph. It always fails at the memcopy. It is linked, I see the ASM behind the call. The two address and the size seems to be valid for me.Custom_STM_App_Update_Char()->Aci_gatt_update_value->hci_Send_req()->SendCmd() and inside this after calling the memcpy function, it goes to hard fault with imprecise error. So, does anyone had similar problem? I would appreciate any tought that could push me out from the mu
Hi,I want to implement a simple application: ADC conversion and transmit the data via BLE. I achieved to do it on stm32wb15cc development board, but I have problems when trying do implement it on my custom board with stm32wba54. In the codes, I basically do the followings: 1. Start ADC conversion with DMA, triggered by timer.2. When buffer is full, in conversion complete callback function, register BLE transmission task in sequencer to tranmit buffer data. On my stm32wba54 board, the buffer won't start filling. I suspect that it's because in wba series, internal temperature sensor needs to enabled for RF calibration and it keeps conflicting with my main ADC channel. How couId I deal with that? Thank you!
Hello, I have developed a LoRa application based on the LoRaWAN EndNode example, with some custom code and using the .ioc configuration. I am working on the Nucleo board STM32WL55JC1. Now, I would like to migrate my application to the LoRa End Node FUOTA example while keeping my existing development. However, I am unsure about the best approach to achieve this. Should I replace the LoRa End Node project inside the FUOTA example (though I assume I will miss some FUOTA-specific classes and functions)?Or should I integrate the additional FUOTA-related projects (KMS_blob, EWARM,BFU, SECoreBin,Linker ...) around my existing LoRa application? Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hi all,I'm referring to BLE_HeartRateFreeRTOS example project. As per my understanding, controller wakes up to advertise based on the Adv Interval. This can be fast(80ms-100ms) or low power advertising(1s-2.5s).In this project there is a default task, which gets initialized and is run on boot up. This default task is not running after subsequent wakeup of controller. May I know, how can I make this default task to run??Also is there any FreeRTOS, STOP2 mode and BLE Beacon based example project available?
Hi all,I'm referring to the BLE_Beacon example project. I figured out that we need to start the advertisement and then attach the required payload/service_data. Is there any minimum set of advertisement packets to be broadcasted in-order to see the payload??aci_gap_set_discoverable -> aci_gap_delete_ad_type -> aci_gap_update_adv_dataThe above-mentioned steps happen during a single advertisement event? /* Put the device in a non-connectable mode. */ ret = aci_gap_set_discoverable(ADV_NONCONN_IND, /*< Advertise as non-connectable, undirected. */ AdvertisingInterval, AdvertisingInterval, /*< Set the advertising interval as 700 ms (0.625 us increment). */ GAP_PUBLIC_ADDR, NO_WHITE_LIST_USE, /*< Use the public address, with no white list. */ 0, NULL, /*< Do not use a local name. */ 0, NULL, /*< Do not include the service UUID list. */ 0, 0); /*< Do not set a slave connection interval. */ if (ret != BLE_STATUS_SUCCESS) { return ret; } /* Re
