Hi,I have a STM32WB55-Nucleo running the BLE_HeartRateFreeRTOS sample application. All works well for a while - I can scan and connect to it (from LightBlue on iOS) and read, write and subscribe to notifications. However, after approximately 40 mins, the application crashes. My environment is:STM32CubeIDE 1.5.1 on Mac OS 10.14.6STM32CubeWB-master (downloaded directly from github - v1.9??)STM32Cube_FW_WB_v1.10.0 (patch downloaded from STM.com)BLE_HeartRateFreeRTOS sample (I am not generating any code from the MX view in STM32CubeIDE)stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin from downloaded patch uploaded to Nucleo board using CLI to address 0x080CB000The application crashes because it exits from the Idle Task in port.c as shown here (can't upload screenshot for some reason...):/* Start the first task. */ prvPortStartFirstTask(); /* Should never get here as the tasks will now be executing! Call the task exit error function to prevent compiler warnings about a static function not being ca
Hi everyone,I am developping an application on the SPBTLE-1S module (BLE 4.2).When the connection quality is low, a disconnection will sometimes occur with error code 0x28 (Reason: Instant Passed) before the connection timeout is reached.Current connection settings are: Conn_Interval_Min: 10Conn_Interval_Max: 20Slave_latency: 5Timeout_Multiplier: 3200Reading more on this type of error, it seems to happen when "an LMP PDU or LL PDU that includes an instant cannot be performed because the instant when this would have occurred has passed." These paquets are typically used for frequency hopping or for connection updates. In my case, they must be frequency hoping paquets. Any idea on how to prevent these disconnections caused by "Instant Passed" errors?Cheers,Xavier
I am trying to build a Lora-End-Node application for STM32L476RGT6 + a separate Semtech SX1272 chipt attached to it. The only exampüles are for Nucleo boards. In addition the code is stringly nested, so that it is difficult to understand. ST sure did not want to make Lora implementation easy.Where can I find an understandable Lora-End-Node example for this combination of chips?

Hi,I am trying to develop a ble application with the stm32wb55 and stm32cubemx. The MCU is on st nucleo board.I have create a new cubemx project, add middleware BLE STM32_WPAN, add scheduler on while() cycle in main.c, add IPCC interrupt handlers in stm32wbxx_it.c.It's peripheral custom template, I have 1 service with 3 characteristics with all UUIDs filled and without read/write permission need.Advertising start but when I try to connect the device disconnect immediately after connection. I see that through breakpoints in debug mode. First eventi is EVT_LE_CONN_COMPLETE and immediately after EVT_DISCONN_COMPLETE. I see in hci_disconnection_complete_event_rp0 the reason value and it is 0x3e alias ERR_CONN_FAILED_TO_ESTABLISH.So I don't understand what is the problem, why the connection drop soon after connection. Can someone help me? Thanks
A new version 2.7.0 is released.New features :802.15.4 RF sniffer : it is now possible to use a STM32WB Nucleo boards to spy the 802.15.4 packets and display the traces in Wireshark. Wireshark can be started directly from STM32CubeMonitor-RF. The procedure to use the sniffer is described in chapter 6 of User Manual (UM2288)Update some OpenThread commands to be properly aligned with O.T. firmware Fixed issues : Fixes the OTA updater panel address bytes inverted, and improve reliabilityOpenThread network explore button label management has been fixed,Fixes the naming of some BLE commands to match with AN5270 specification, Fixes ACI client characteristic partial discovery after reconnectionThe complete list is provided in the release note. Enjoy !
Dear ST-Community,I've checked your latest Ressources on STM32WLE:https://www.st.com/en/microcontrollers-microprocessors/stm32wlex.html#cad-resourcesAnd opened the file in Altium to export it to P-CAD ASCIIhttps://forums.autodesk.com/t5/eagle-forum/importing-files-from-altium-designer-to-eagle/td-p/6827258I could import it in Autodesk EAGLE but the design is broken at many pads:EAGLE ImportALTIUM originalCould you maybe also provide EAGLE files or provide recommendations how to get the files to EAGLE?Thank you!
Hi, I tried the LocalNetwork demonstration in which one NUCLEO board acts as a concentrator and other NUCLEO boards act as sensor unit. Its available in STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.0.0/Projects/NUCLEO-WL55JC/Demonstrations/LocalNetworkI loaded and ran one NUCLEO board with LocalNetwork_Concentrator and one NUCLEO board with LocalNetwork_Sensor code. But my sensor NUCLEO board is not able to receive the beacon sent by the concentrator. I am not sure why this is happening. I have also attached the terminal image. Can you please guide why is the sensor not receiving the beacon?
Can someone tell where I can find an ioc file for BLE_MeshLightingPRFNode application ? I am using STM32WB55RG and SDK version is 1.8.0. I see that ioc file is available for every example and BLE application but not for the above application. What is the reason for not providing the file ? How can I create it for BLE mesh ?
Use case : when an on-off command is received on the node via BLE, the node should send some data to Arduino over USART1. Similarly, when some data is received on the node over USART1, it should publish the data to other boards or a phone. If I port the UART interrupt code to the above application, the HAL_UART_Receive_IT() keeps giving HAL_BUSY error and no character is received from Arduino.
Hi,The Ram_Shared address in the linker from cubeMx is 0x20008000 but I think it should be 0x20030000.Changing this also fixed communications with cpu2 for me.
I am working with an STM32WB5MMG, but I don't think this issue relates to the radio part of the MCU, so I am posting in the more general community. I hope that's okay.I am reading data from a GPS receiver over UART using the HAL_UART_Receive_DMA function. Data is coming in at 230400 baud. DMA is configured as a simple (non-circular) buffer of 512 bytes. In the HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback handler, I call HAL_UART_Receive_DMA again to start a new transfer.I'm doing it this way (as opposed to using circular mode) so that I can count the total number of bytes transferred by counting the number of complete "frames" of 512 bytes and adding (512 - CNDTR). My concern is that if I used a circular buffer, there is some ambiguity about when the frame count is updated relative to the CNDTR update.Usually, this works fine. But after a couple of minutes of receiving data, it looks like CNDTR stops updating. I've checked that there is still data coming in from the GPS module. What's curious is that when
Hi,I have tested a B-L072Z-LRWAN1 board with the default Sgfx_push_button application included in STM32CubeExpansion_SFOX_V1.1.0 folder. So far so good, everything was working as expected.I've designed and built a custom board, following the requirements for using the CMWX1ZZABZ with Sigfox. (especially connecting SX1276_DIO4 to PA5). Whith the same Sgfx_push_button application, the application is blocking on TX_START (shown on the serial terminal with DEBUG active).B-L072Z-LRWAN1 is using PA2 and PA3 as STLINK_TX/STLINK_RX while on my custom board PA2 and PA3 are not in use. I've disconnected PA2 and PA3 form STLINK on B-L072Z-LRWAN1 (opening SB28 and SB29) and I was able to reproduce the problem, same application blocking on the TX_START as on my custom board.Working around the problem, I've tied PA2 and PA3 to +3V3 and the transmission occurred every time when triggered as should. However, I needed to see on the serial console what's going so I reconfigured LPUART1 to use PA14 and P
The 'Debug' Build Configuration in the B-072Z-LRWAN1 Ping-Pong example does not define the DEBUG symbol. This means that you cannot debug the DEBUG configuration!Who on earth thought that was a good idea?!:persevering_face:If you do want to debug, you must add 'DEBUG' to the list of preprocessor defined symbols in Project Properties: See also: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009bNTmPSAW/pingpong-example-from-icubelrwan-software-not-working-on-bl072zlrwan1 - 3 years ago!
Hello all,I´m modifying the P2P-Server Service for using it for my own purposes. I want to send sensor data and a 32-Bit timestamp in microseconds continously to my own Android App. Sending the Sensor Data works very well, but not the timestamp. The timestamp will be send only each 16777216 microsecond. So the time on the screen in my smartphone app will be only each 16777216 microsecond updated (but sensor data continously!). But I send both directly after each other in the code. In the file "p2p_stm.c", I have changed the including bytes of the Notify-Characteristic from 2 up to 20. The file with the application-code was adjusted (and I think with the right way, because the data will be send, but to late). Are there any settings/paramters for changing to reaching my aim (maybe also in "p2p_stm.c")? Thankfull about every help...
I use 5 quantity VNH7100BAS motor control ic in a single board, how it connects with STM32WB55RGV7TR microcontroller with a minimum pin count of CPU
Hey guys, I'm Working on the NUCLEO-55WLJC1 Board. My Problem seems very simple but I've been struggling with this for some time now. I want to use HAL_GPIO_TogglePin To toggle a pin, but it has no effect at all. I tried to use HAL_GPIO_WritePin instead, which doesn't work either. So I meassured the Voltage of the Pin and this is how it looks like:I thought there might be something wrong with HAL_Driver, but since I'm working with the Device Configuration Tool of the STM32ide everything was initialized from the start. static void MX_GPIO_Init(void) { GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStruct = {0}; /* GPIO Ports Clock Enable */ __HAL_RCC_GPIOA_CLK_ENABLE(); /*Configure GPIO pin : RelayS_Pin */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = RelayS_Pin; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW; HAL_GPIO_Init(RelayS_GPIO_Port, &GPIO_InitStruct); }and in the main i do nothing but setting/Toggling this Pin:int mai
I have two Nucleo WL55JC and a Stm32f4 discovery board. Can i build a Lorawan gateaway with these products?
I could not find "BLE_meshlightingdemo" folder. Where can I get this project and the binary file? Thank you.
I wanted to use an additional Pin in the Ping Pong LoRa example program for the nucleo-WL55JC1 Board. So i set one as Output and saved the Configuration file. What happened, was that my Project then had about 200 Errors. Saving the Configuration must have changed something realy essential. So how do i add Pins properly without changing the rest of the already made Project?
My pins seem to just be floating even though, i have set them to specific levels.the only one, that works properly is Pin 3 on 3.3 V. MX_GPIO_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_2, GPIO_PIN_RESET); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_3, GPIO_PIN_SET); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_5, GPIO_PIN_SET); /* USER CODE END 2 */ /* Infinite loop */ /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ while (1) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_5); HAL_Delay(5000); /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ }I have set them as outputs in the configuration, So they should be working right?I'm thankful for any help.
Hi,i have an STM32WB used as client. Compiling the project with libraries 1.8.0 i can connect 5 BLE servers without any problem, compiling the project with libraries 1.10.0 i can't connect more than 2 BLE Servers, from the third aci_gap_create_connection return 0x41.I thought that the problem was the STACK Ble not updated, but updating it the problem is still these. Which can be the cause?Thank you in advance
Hello,I am trying to use a ble application on the dongle board included in the P-Nucleo-WB55 pack. Is it possible to use the st-link debugger found on the Nucleo68 board to program the dongle? (This is the other board found in the P-Nucleo pack) the other alternative would be buying an external st-link programmer, something I’d like to avoid. I tried connecting the nrst, gnd, swdio, and swclk pins from cn13 on the Nucleo68 to the dongle and powering both boards, but stm32cubeprogrammer did not recognize the stm32 device.
