I try to create end_node project for stm32wl5cc uC, but for unkonw reason to me it is impossible "End_Node" option is inaccessible (grey). In LoRaWAN_End_Node example it is available.Ho to do this in Cube Ide.When I try to import project from NUCLEO-WL55JC I can't change uC type to stm32wle5cc Mcu and Board It's also grey.

It is possible to use the ISE 1.6.0 instead of 1.5.1?
When a P2P server is advertising I am able to see the raw data values of the advertisement as well as the explained details using mobile app.(nRQ connect) Here I need to find exact same things using STM32WB as a client. I am struggling to find a way to extract those things. Also I need to extract the server's address from client side using raw data. Is that possible?
Hello,Recently I started working with Nucleo board with STM32WB55 and I would appreciate if somebody could help me with this issue about BLE. I never worked with the BLE stack before and I am quite lost and confused.I am working in a project where I only need to detect the SCAN REQUEST. In the learning process of STM32WB, I found the very useful MOOCs and more specifically “STM32WB Workshop – 3 How to add BLE funcionality?. It Works with the project “HandsOn2? supplied by ST.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNfIGh30kSs&list=PLnMKNibPkDnGRfqUO1Q_-1nW-tOKfDQbc&index=4Among other things, it explains how to blink a LED every time a radio RF activity finishes, using Radio Activity Event. I thought following the steps of this event would be a good way to get a SCAN REQUEST event, but unfortunately so far I have not achieved anything. Please find below the pseudo code of app_ble.c file, where the radio RF activity is mentioned. - &n
Is it possible?
Hi, I am using the STM32WB55 Nucleo board for development (latest STM32Cube V1.2.0 FW). I need to obtain the RSSI value from iBeacon advertisements. I am doing a scan using ACI_GAP_START_GENERAL_DISCOVERY_PROC. The RSSI value returned in the HCI_LE_ADVERTISING_REPORT_EVENT seems to be garbage. I then started calling ACI_HAL_READ_RAW_RSSI, which does return data, but I can't seem to find any information on how to interpret the 3 byte array returned. Neither the application note (AN5270 rev3 June 2019) or the header file ble_hal_aci.h provide any details. Any information on how to interpret the raw RSSI data or alternate advice on how to get the RSSI from the received advertisement would be greatly appreciated. ble_hal_aci.h/** * @brief This command returns the raw value of the RSSI * @param[out] Value RAW RSSI value * @retval Value indicating success or error code.*/tBleStatus aci_hal_read_raw_rssi(uint8_t Value[3]);
The BLE nodes are the NUCLEOWB55RG and dongle from the P-NUCLEOWB55 board.
STM32WB firmware updates v1.10.0 introduces large no of data packet loss in high-speed data transmission.
I'm using STM32CubeMoinitor-RF to establish a link between 2 devices but the PER is always 100%. I used ACI utilities and have both devices into Advertising mode, it does work on both devices with a pretty decent signal level of ~ -40 dbm. (I'm using an app on mobile phone to check RSSI). so I have no problem with the transmitter but the receiver seems no working. is this a known problem to ST? Is there any errata on the receiver? here is my RF path, "RF" signal comes direct from STM32WB55RGThis is my OSC connection:I very much appreciate any help on this.
Hi,I am advertising I-Beacons using STM32WB. I need blink a led during the whole time of advertising. I have initialized below functions,I-Beacon Process()I-Beacon Initialization()but I am unable blink the led at this moment. (I was able to advertise the beacon). Can anyone solve the problem and give me the exact point where I have to include the codes for blink led?
Hello, I used STM32WB55 HEARTRATE engineering test, and now the power consumption is at least 2.3mA. Is this normal? Is it possible to further reduce the power consumption by modifying the connection parameters? I tried to configure it with the aci_l2cap_connection_parameter_update_req function, but the tests found no change in power consumption.I didn't use it, did I?Besides modifying the connection parameters, is there any other way to reduce the power consumption? Thank you!
Hello, after playing a bit with P-NUCLEO-WB55 pack I bricked the board. The board is visible by Cube Programmer in DFU mode. Programmer can see the ST-Link but ST-Link does not detect the target. Are there any suggestions to recover ST-Link connection to STM32WB ?Is there a FW image containing FUS, BLE Stack and Application to bring the board to it's initial (factory) state? Thanks.
Hi,I am using STM32WB55CG nucleo board. I wrote a program as follows.Reset the devicerun BLE sequencer for 1 minute ( advertise BLE for i minute)read the time and datesave the time and date in flashenter shutdown modeWakeup from shutdown mode (using RTC wakeup) in every 10s and execute 3,4 and 5 stepsshutdown mode wake up does not works. But when I remove the second step in the program wakeup is working. After integrating the BLE in to the code wakeup does not works. My program as follows. Can anyone help me ? if( (__HAL_PWR_GET_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_C2SB) == RESET) ) { APPE_Init(); BLE_MODE =1; }while(BLE_MODE){ UTIL_SEQ_Run(~0); if(HAL_GetTick()>60000){ BLE_MODE=0; }}while(1){ HAL_RTC_GetTime(&hrtc, &time_struct_t, RTC_FORMAT_BIN); HAL_RTC_GetDate(&hrtc, &date_struct_t, RTC_FORMAT_BIN); temperature_value = Get_Temperature(); log_data(date_struct_t,time_struct_t,temp
Currently I plug it into my computer and the computer no longer recognizes it "device descriptor request failed (error43)" in both mode options 0 and 1. I want to set it to factory default so I can connect. be with the computer. Please help me!
In STM32CubeWB v1.10.0, the definitions of RCC_CR_HSEBYP (HSE bypass control) were removed from the CMSIS files for STM32WB5x MCUs. Also parts of the HAL that configure HSE bypass mode were removed. In the release notes it says "Remove RCC_CR_HSEBYP" but there is no further detail about this.I could not find any mention of HSEBYP in the latest errata for the STM32WB5x.What is the reason this definition was removed from the CMSIS and HAL, does this HSE bypass feature still work on STM32WB5x parts?
Hello I would like to use Mac802.15.4 with BLE included in the Wireless Stack. Is that possible? I was developing F/W using stm32wb5x_Mac_802_15_4_fw.bin for Wireless Stack, but now I need to support BLE as well. I wrote stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full.bin and stm32wb5x_BLE_Zigbee_FFD_dynamic.bin in the experiment, but MAC802.15.4 could not be initialized normally.
Question 1) ST has recently removed the deign of MB1389 (NUCLEO-WL55JC1) form the website. Were there any known issues (perhaps recently found) with the MB1389 design? Question 2) I have found the design of MB1720 in this forum but nowhere in ST website, is the design of MB1720 ready for production/proto?Question 3) Is there any other reference designs for WL55 somewhere? Many thanks,Mahdi
Hi there,I'm using the STM32WB55 to build a ultra low power sensor. The low power is working very well on the M4 with my firmware but the M0 with the Thread MTD stack is giving back unexpected results.Since the sensor can sleep for a while (also 10 minutes and also more) between samplings, I'm setting it as a SED by using the otLinkSetPollPeriod and the otThreadSetLinkMode to tell the radio to sleep and poll the parent every 5 minutes and it seemed to work.During the consumption tests we noticed that while the M4 was still asleep, the M0 started an high consumption (~10mA) after 3 exact minutes of inactivity (no tx from us and poll period at 5 minutes). The high consumption stops after other 2 minutes (so, after a total of 5, as the poll period set).I really don't know what's happening, am I missing something? Thank you in advance for your helpHave a nice dayPaul
Is it still Possible?
Hello All...I posted this in the MCU section and got no response so I figured I would ask here.I am new to ST Micro tools and have never used them. My background has been hardware and I have been 'hacking' at code on MSP430FR for a good 10 years. I am used to Code Composer Studio and writing register level C code. This is a complete IDE with compiler, debugger, etc all wrapped up in one, free from TI.I am interested in the new STM32WLE IC's for an upcoming prj. My question is if I download just the CubeIDE and the CubeProgrammer is this enough to write, compile, link and debug on the STM32WLE? Also for flashing / debugging hardware is the STLINK-V3SET the correct tool?thank you
I did not receive any mail asking for confirmation... anyway, Do you still have a seat for me ?Thanks a lot
