Hello,I am going to use a 32 MHz oscillator (LSE) for a ZigBee application on STM32WB55. Do I have to add a 32 kHz oscillator? I do not need RTC. Best regards,Batuhan
I have one more confusion regarding BLE connection. For the case in low power mode,If device is already paired and connection is established, do we need to continuously advertise packets at regular intervals for connection to keep intact and to provide BLE service? The purpose of this question is to know if I can completely put the device into sleep for few minutes (let's say 15 mins) without sending advertising packets ?

Hello. I create new empty project for stm32wb55CC in CubeIDE 1.6.1 with pack 1.11.0. main.c contains/* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * <h2><center>&copy; Copyright (c) 2021 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved.</center></h2> * * This software component is licensed by ST under BSD 3-Clause license, * the "License"; You may not use this file except in compliance with the * License. You may obtain a copy of the License at: * opensource.org/licenses/BSD-3-Clause * ****************************************************************************** */ /* USER CODE END Header */Now I enable BLE and regenerate code. main.c contains still contains the same lisensing. I delete USER CODE BEGIN Header and main.c contains/* USER CODE BEGIN
My dongle has latest FUS 1.1.2 and then programmed with stm32wb5x_Phy_802_15_4_fw.bin to proper address(0x080DE000) and with option "Start Wireless Stack" selected.
I am trying to send a BLE notification after I have connected. I add the characteristic this way. retVal = aci_gatt_add_char(serviceHandle, UUID_TYPE_128, (const Char_UUID_t *)Uuid, 247, CHAR_PROP_WRITE_WITHOUT_RESP | CHAR_PROP_WRITE | CHAR_PROP_NOTIFY, ATTR_PERMISSION_NONE, GATT_NOTIFY_ATTRIBUTE_WRITE, MAX_ENCRY_KEY_SIZE, CHAR_VALUE_LEN_VARIABLE, &handle); Then the connected device writes a small amount of data to the characteristic (3 bytes), and I try to send a notification in response.result = aci_gatt_update_char_value(serviceHandle, valueHandle, 0, length, pData); The notification is about 80 bytes long. I get the notification data on the other side, but the call to aci_gatt_update_char_value never returns. It gets stuck in hci_send_req waiting for something to happen, and it never happens. This seems like it would be super simple. What am I doing wrong here? Thanks
I have a board with an STM32WLE5CC and am attempting to use STOP2 mode, but instead of the expected 4-6uA I am seeing 1mA consumption. All peripherals except FLASH, HSEM, and the RTC are disabled in the RCC block. All Unused GPIO are set to Analogue. Debug is disabled for all low power modes.I've checked that the consumption is not down to other components on the board.I've no idea what else I can change.
HiI don't understand how to use the custom bluetooth template in CubeIDE for a STM32WB55CC microchip. I need to know how to configure this in order to understand how to configure a bluetooth liaison with BLE.Best regards
I have followed instructions from many threads but none seems to work. I am not sure if I tweaked the Anti-Rollback before a FUS update. Please help.So is there a way to revive my board ??If I have bricked my board and cannot REVERT back I need to know what was wrong and shouldn't be done.
Development Environment: KEIL (Free License)보드 : DISCO-L072CZ-LRWAN1HelloTo build a monitoring system with the LoRa protocol now.It is being developed as a 'DISCO-L072CZ-LRWAN1' board.I turned off the 'ST-LINK' built into the board to check the minimum current in the 'STANDBY mode' (removed SB37).I have a 'ST-LINK V2'.Can I connect my current 'ST-LINK' to 'DISCO-L072CZ-LRWAN1' for flashing?I thought using the SWD interface in CN8 would be a flash. So we connected SWD PINs of 'ST-LINK' and 'DISCO-L072CZ-LRWAN1'. I tried to flash by connecting 'SWCLK' pin and 'SWDIO' pin on 'CN8' No.2 and No.4However, neither 'KEIL' nor 'ST-LINK utility' recognized the board.I would appreciate it if you could let me know if I'm taking the wrong approach.
Could you get the binary data of STM32 of LRWAN3 which is loaded in NUCLEO-LRWAN3 by default?thank you for your help..*Moderation Edit: please do not post your email in the public area of this website*
Can anyone tell me what Update_Type parameter does in this fucntion?tBleStatus aci_gatt_update_char_value_ext( uint16_t Conn_Handle_To_Notify, uint16_t Service_Handle, uint16_t Char_Handle, uint8_t Update_Type, // -------> What values can it get? What does it do? uint16_t Char_Length, uint16_t Value_Offset, uint8_t Value_Length, const uint8_t* Value ) Is there any description documentation regarding the hci BLE messaging to BLE side?Thansk?
HiUsing a P-NUCLEO-WB55 dev board.Looking for a dedicated ST Windows app to debug BLE .Something that maybe connects to the ST USB dongle, and can run simple commands as connect, pair etc.Is there such a tool available?similar to this, but for windows :https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stbletoolbox.htmlThanks.
Using STM32WB, testing pairing-bonding. Using several BLE dongles for desktop PC.Peripheral - ST. (APP HeartRateRTOS example )Client - Windows 10 , BLE debug dongles.After pairing and bonding I read the bonded devices using:aci_gap_get_bonded_devicesI print the result and see an enormous number of addresses (all are the same).When I only paired 3 or maybe 4 devices.Here is the print-Log:06/09 16:06:48.797 Num_of_Addresses:241 err:0 06/09 16:06:48.854 i:0, type:0, adr:d1:af:3e:8c:ce:70 06/09 16:06:48.857 i:1, type:0, adr:d1:af:3e:8c:ce:70 06/09 16:06:48.860 i:2, type:0, adr:d1:af:3e:8c:ce:70 06/09 16:06:48.864 i:3, type:0, adr:d1:af:3e:8c:ce:70 06/09 16:06:48.867 i:4, type:0, adr:d1:af:3e:8c:ce:70 06/09 16:06:48.870 i:5, type:0, adr:d1:af:3e:8c:ce:70 06/09 16:06:48.873 i:6, type:0, adr:d1:af:3e:8c:ce:70 06/09 16:06:48.876 i:7, type:0, adr:d1:af:3e:8c:ce:70 06/09 16:06:48.879 i:8, type:0, adr:d1:af:3e:8c:ce:70 06/09 16

Is there a way to send a single advertisement packet at a specific moment in code, ( without the mix/max interval time).I want to disable advertisement. And control it myself.
Hi, For my application, I have BLE connection between STM32WB55 (role = peripheral ) and mobile connection.I want to use BLE in low power mode such a way that, 1) If device is not paired MCU(M4) should wakeup and pair if device is available then sleep again.2) If already paired then collected the data at some interval. What is the best example/ best way to implement this scenario?Any suggestions would be helpful as I am beginner.
Hi, I'm using a custom board with STM32WB55 and faced with an issue related to FUS up and running. Initially, I was able successfully to upgrade FUS up to 1.1.2.0 via swd interface. Then I have updated the user key via USART embedded bootloader. Started from this point everything works fine until I performed the power cycle. After that, FUS stops working. When I'm trying to read FUS info I get "0x20030030 : EFF742A0"Before getting FUS info I always send STM32_Programmer_CLI -c port=swd -fusgetstate command several times and it replies "FUS_STATE_IDLE" every time.Read back DIT table shows results as follow:0x20030024 : 88842F65 04FF4224 E344FADB EFF742A00x20030034 : 3D4C3EF7 13CFC074 68D055F6 6FFE65C30x20030044 : F674573E 5FB11850 C24ADA6B ACBB243B0x20030054 : 4206EEEDAlso, I'm not able to upgrade FUS version up to v1.2.0. As I understand from the doc CM0+ core responsible for FUS running. Is that possible that this core not running anymore or stuck somewhere? If not, how to make FUS wo
I am working on the Programmable Voltage Detector (PVD) and was wondering if I can decrease the voltage instead of the default 3 volts it is outputting right now. I would like to decrease in different intervals to test the PVD.
HELLOI have a custom board with STM32WLE5J8I MCU and i want to make a LORAWAN End Node applicationI don't find any tutorial or video explaining step by step how to do this Thank you
Hi,I'm trying to swap the TX/RX pins of UART but I can't make it happen without the project configuration file that is not present in the Zigbee_SE_Msg_Server_Router project.I tried to change the pins in the 'hw_conf.h' file but that doesn't seem to change anything. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance!
This is the data I grabbed with bushound. As shown in the picture, when I send data through HID once, the USB will send empty data packets indefinitely, and subsequent data packets will cause the transmission to be stuck and repeated. I tested the USB driver I designed and the HID sample program of FW_WB_V1.11.0, both of which are the same phenomenon. Through jtag debugging, it is found that after sending data, the register USB_EPnR will repeatedly change between 0x3673 and 0x7633. This is the proof that USB is sending data cyclically, but I can’t find a way to stop or solve it.And this kind of problem has never appeared in the USB debugging of STM32F4.
