I am using Serial Wire Debug (SWD) to trace some debug information while using the STM32WB55CGU6U MCU. Based on UM2609, the default maximum size of the SWV trace buffer on a PC = 2,000,000 packets. This buffer is stored in the heap of the STM32CubeIDE. Both parameters can be increased and I have no problem with that. However, in UM2609, I have not found the definition for the SWV packet. What is the size of this packet? What is the maximum size of the user data that can be fit into one packet?
I'm working on a mobile project based on the STM32WB5MMG.First, we bought a P-NUCLEO-WB55 and had a look at some of the example projects. After a good experience with the Nucleo board, we decided to build HW around the controller. Now the HW is working and the BLE_Stack has been flashed to the device.Even some examples are working on our platform. Now I want to implement two specified services "Battery Level" and "Automation I/O".For this, I build upon the "BLE_Custom" example and moved to a custom .ioc file/project later. But now I'm stuck. Is there any documentation of the generated code for the "Custom Template"? I found a few functions in the STM32WB HAL library, but non of the template-related stuff.Detailed Problems:1) I'm able to show services and characteristics to a device (phone/pc) read and write to it.Now, I would like to update a specific characteristic. Therefore I used "aci_gatt_update_char_value()". But it seems I'm, not allowed to change the value while the service is
The datasheet only shows the current of the STM32WB55 at 3.3V; what happens at 1.8V? In particular: how is the radio section affected by the voltage drop? Does the current drawn in TX and RX remain the same even at 1.8V? (Rx 4.5 mA / Tx at 0 dBm 5.2 mA) And how is it possible that even in reception it consumes so much? (Rx 4.5mA)Many thanks, Nino
STM32Cube/Example/BLE_AT_Client/readme.html requirement:This example requires to have STM32WB5M module flashed with latest BLE_AT_Server application from STM32CubeWB package.I downloaded stm32cubewb_v1-12-0 and patch-cubewb_v1-12-1 but these zips do not contain the binary specified.
Hello,I have an application with STM32WB55 that is working without a problem using UTIL_SEQ_Run(UTIL_SEQ_DEFAULT); and i am using app_ble_update_data function to update the packet data but i would like to start advertising without using UTIL_SEQ_Run(UTIL_SEQ_DEFAULT); so how to call the function that is responsible of starting CPU2 to start sending the packets without starting the sequencer? I have already tried hours trying to find out how to but the sequencer is really nested and each function calls a lot of others! Thanks a lot in advanced.

Hello! I'm trying to interface with a sensor that requires a repeated start condition.Datasheet: https://www.mouser.com/datasheet/2/348/ROHM_S_A0005047448_1-2562246.pdfI have other sensors on my I2C bus that I can communicate with. I also get '1' on HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady(&hi2c1, 0x5B, 3, 5);I tried using HAL_I2C_Mem_Read, as it's my understanding that this function does a repeated start, but it doesn't seem to work with the sensor (this function works with 3 other sensors on my bus).I'm assuming the implementation of HAL_I2C_Mem_Read doesn't meet my requirements. The sensor I'm interfacing requires: [ST][SLAVE ADDR][W/0][ACK][READ REG][ACK][ST][SLAVE ADDR][R/1][ACK][DATA][NACK][SP]What am I getting wrong here?Using STM32WB, with CubeIDE.Thank you!!! :)
I have a custom board running the i cube lrwan (class A). I m going to deploy it in the field, so I dont want any messages coming on the UART. Is there a way to disable it ?When I add too many print statements for debugging, the LoRa Initialisations seems to freeze and hang up.Thanks
Greetings, i have been trying to set up a STM32WLE5CC MCU to wake up from STANDBY Mode after a period of time (30 seconds for the testing phase, 1 week in the final product) using HAL Library functions.Unfortunately i have not been able to accomplish this, despite my best efforts.I am using STM32CubeIDE.Follows the code, partly abridged of comments and autogenerated MX functions://Includes #include "main.h" #include "string.h" //Private var RTC_HandleTypeDef hrtc; UART_HandleTypeDef huart2; //MX generated function prototypes void SystemClock_Config(void); static void MX_GPIO_Init(void); static void MX_USART2_UART_Init(void); static void MX_RTC_Init(void); //Own function prototype void Set_Alarm(void); int main(void) { HAL_Init(); SystemClock_Config(); MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_USART2_UART_Init(); MX_RTC_Init(); /*Check if we woke up from STANDBY mode*/ if(__HAL_PWR_GET_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_SB)!=RESET){ __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_SB); //cl
SUBGHZ Radio Cfg_DioIrq() describes mapping the radio interrupts to separate IRQ lines but NVIC only has one Radio IRQ interrupt. Are the radio interrupts all just muxed into that one interrupt?Does the mapping need to be applied to all IRQ lines none at all in order to get the interrupt on the IRQ lines?
Hey thereI'm working with stm32wb with custom board, I have two strange issues.I'm tying to probe GPIO_IOToggle example but the program only run when i charge the code or when I debugged it with STM32CUBEIDE, whne i press reset or activate the source the program don't runThe function HAL_Delay() is not working, the MCU keep waiting for HAL_GetTick() who is frozen in 0I tried to run with MDK and STM32CUBEIDE in two different machines but is the same. Also I tried to change the priority of the systick timer. Please. Would you help me ?I'm working witch STM32CUBEIDE V1.7.0 and STM32WBCUBE_FW_WB package V1.12 also I probed with V1.11
Helloi made a custom board using MIDATRONICS module that integrate the STM32WLE5J8I and i don't find how to make a lorawan end node project !!! when i import the end node project from the nucleo-WL package, it doesn't work (don't make a join and don't send data!!) and because the STM32WLE5J8I HAVE ONLY 64K of flash i'm at 96% of memory !!!Can you help please ? is anybody make a lorawan end node project directly with cubeMX for the STM32WLE5J8I without any import from the Nucleo project?Thank you in advanceBests Regards
Hello,I am using the STM32WB55 Nucleo board and have gone through a few of the example applications. I would now like to create my own BLE application similar to the heart rate monitor. I really am not sure how to start and was hoping for a decent tutorial or video on the flow of adding BLE functionality. If anyone has any tips I would really appreciate it.Thanks
Hello,We are designing a PCB based on the NUCLEO-WL55JC boardWe are looking for the Altium project files.Someone can share a link? Thanks.BEEPH
Dear ST communityI've been trying to implement the BLE_RfWithFlash example from the STM32WBCube package into my BLE application. When trying to write/erase flash, the MCU disconnects the BLE client and triggers a hard fault. If I run the application in debug mode, it works sometimes when stepping through the code. The basic idea is that a BLE characteristic callback triggers the MCU the save configuration data into flash page 85/0x08055000Information:MCU: STM32WB55CE (& CG)STM32WBCube package: ver. 1.12.0Firmware: BLE full stackBLE interface: Arduino BLE for stm32wbOS: Freertos alongside BLE callbacksApplication:I've used the flash_driver.c/.h from the package example (only added HW semaphore IDs to header since I have no editable hw_conf.h).I've wrapped the flash driver in a C++ class for readability. The function interacting with the driver:#define FLASH_PAGE_NUMBER 0x55 // 85 #define FLASH_BASE_ADDRESS 0x08055000 // _eeprom_buffer is an std::array ... void EEP
Looking at the HearRate Example with RTOS.I see that user app holds all the handlers in :PLACE_IN_SECTION("BLE_DRIVER_CONTEXT") static HRS_Context_t HRS_Context;What is the purpose of this placement? Can it be changed to a simple static?thanks
Hi all,We are using stm32 PDM to PCM library to convert PDM mic data into PCM data. On that we had an option to control the mic gain from -12db to 51db as mentioned in data sheet. So we try to increase the db level, But we cannot able to increase the db level more than 11db. If we increase the db level more than 11db the converted PCM values goes more than 32768(as signed). But the PDM to PCM library returns only 16bit data.Is it possible to get 32bit data from PDM to PCM library?Otherwise is there any other solution to solve this problem?I would be glad if anyone has some advice for me.Thanks in advance.
Hi, I currently have a STWINKT1B board flashed with the predictive maintenance sample application. This allows me to connect my board to the BLE sensor app through Bluetooth and it also allows me to log the ACCELLEROMETER sensor values to MQTT. However, I am unable to control the ODR at which the ACCELEROMETER data is being logged to MQTT. I have also tried flashing the High Speed Data Logging application to my board. This allowed me to control the ODR of the ISM330DHC sensor (ACCELEROMETER sensor), but when I try to perform 'cloud logging' through the app to MQTT, no data gets logged to MQTT even though I used the exact same MQTT credentials as I used in my above attempt. I am thinking this might be because I do not have an SD card installed in my STWINKT1B board. Is this true? Would entering a SD card solve this problem? If not, how can I go about configuring the ODR at which the ACCELEROMETER readings get sent to MQTT?
I am using cubeIDE to run these examples
Hi. I started a new project with the STM32WB35CEU as the target. Both in the datasheet and cubeMX MCU info it states 512Kbytes FLASH and 96KBytes of RAM.But when I generate that project code with cubeMX the linkerscript shows 256KFLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x08000000, LENGTH = 256Kthe header clearly states 512Kbytes FLASH / 96Kbytes RAMIs that just an error or am I missing something ?My first thought was that the dual core is more like two processors that splits the usage of FLASH for each processor?? But then we still can't use the whole 512KB that is stated because the radio core has it's own set code that we cant modify ?so the datasheet description should come with and annotation that states that the user can not use more then half of the FLASH? I hope that I am wrong, and this is just an error :)From linker script (STM32WB35CEU)/********************************************************************************* File : LinkerSc
I want to use RTC (RX-8571) for I2C communication with STM32WLE5JC. I wrote the code using [HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit] and [HAL_I2C_Master_Receive], but I can only send the device address of the first byte. The errata says "Write the first data in I2C_TXDR", but I don't know how to write it. I'm trying to set configuration for STM32WL55JC but I have no luck at all. I have set some pins, namely inputs: PB1,PC6,PC13, outputs: PB10,11,15, pc3,4,5, but the problem is all the time, I'm trying to not to touch almost anything wht is not needed:-if gpio.c is generated, then it has no entries except basic resonator , nothing else in it-gpio.c is not created at all-looks like gpio.c is created on the first try only, then you apparently have to delete project completely to have again chance to have it done by a tiny bit, but one false step and no configuration at all, and you can start overAny suggestions? It looks really hopeless
Running " i-cube-lrwan - End node" firmware on board. We are expecting consistent battery percentage but observing inconsistent in battery percentage. e.g. At first when battery is fully charged, it should show 100%. Later on as battery started draining percentage should decrease linearly. But we are observing non linear change in battery percentage. Like87%87%95%80% 100%We observed that +Vref voltage itself is fluctuating for each uplink when powered with batteries. So we are suspecting variation in Vref might be the reason. If so how to resolve this issue or is there any other reason for this??
Hi, I am not so sure about where to connect the jumpers from the ULINK plus on my STM32WL55JC board to measure power consumption? Can anyone please help? The picture of the board is from the UM2592 User Manual. I couldnt find the information. Thanks!
I see there is now a video series on connecting the STM32WL to The Things Stack (TTN v3):LoRaWAN with STM32 Getting Started: Part 1, LoRaWAN with STM32WL OverviewLoRaWAN with STM32 Getting Started: Part 2, STM32 LoRaWAN Gateway for The Things Stack LoRaWAN with STM32 Getting Started: Part 3, LoRaWAN End Node w/ NUCLEO-WL55JC1 for The Things StackBut this is specific to the WL, using the STM32CubeWL Pack.Is it the same for the latest I-CUBE-LRWAN v2.1.0 ?Specifically, on a B-L072Z-LRWAN1.In particular, the video uses the WL's hardware ID register - so how would this be handled on the B-L072Z-LRWAN1 ?
