Hi, I can see there is data logs for Sensor tile box and STWINKIT1. For predictive maintenance using STWINKIT1B, we can do direct learning also means it stores the data in SD card, am I right? If so, using Nucleo Board(Nucleo- WL55JC), when we do OCR, is it possible to do direct learning(images) like how we do for vibration sensors? Please help.Regards,Shankari.
Hi,I want to calibrate the RTC. So I need one timer to count the pulses from RTC.The RTC clock source.(LSE external oscillator 32768 Hz) needs to be the clock source for one of the timers. In the reference design (RM0434) page 682 there are multiple clock source but I don't see the RTC_CLK.
Hello! I'm trying to run the BLE Heart Rate application on my STM32WB.I followed the guides and YT videos, but whenever the HW_TS_RTC_Wakeup_Handler interrupt is triggered, the device goes into a Hard Fault state at ' __HAL_RTC_WRITEPROTECTION_DISABLE( phrtc );'I've tried several things to get the fault to clear such as replacing '_HAL_RTC_WRITE...' with 'LL_RTC_DisableWriteProtection(RTC); // This works! but then a hard fault is generated at '_HAL_RTC_WAKEUPTIMER_DISABLE'I'm not quite sure, but I have a sneaky suspicion that that the phrtc pointer may not be correct...Has anyone run into this issue before? I also tried disabling RTC tamper, but this causes the interrupt to just never be called. Thanks! :)
Hey All, I want to add encryption to the existing STM32WB55 MAC 802.15.4 FFD/RFD examples. How could i ensure encryption and integrety of my data. As i consulted the IEEE 802.15.4 standard, I can use the ENC-MIC-128 for both encryption and integrity, by setting the 'security enabled' field and setting the Auxiliary Security Header 'ASH' fields accordingly. My question is how exactly to do that, because not all PIB attributes concerning the ASH are available on the ST implementation for mac_802.15.4 ?Also there is the concept for the Security Table that stores different Keys, i couldn't find any related fields or PIBs.Please can you provide me with how to add security to existing STM32WB55 examples.
Hi!I am currently trying to build a GPS sensor that communicates over I2C with the nucleo Board, but i'm not sure about the documentation. So I started a new CubeMX Project based on the NUCLEO WL55JC1 and, according to the software (as shown in pic 1), the I2C1 Pins are PA10 (SDA) and PB8 (SCL). However, according to the manual the pins should be PA11 and PA12, wich would be pin 9 and 10 on the CN5 connector (shown in pic 2). So.. wich one's correct? Thanks in advance!
Hi, Without making any changes and making a "clean" every time, I try this example (PWR_STOP2_RTC in CubeWL latest version). Unfortunately, often this gets stuck in MX_RTC_Init(). Still, this example with this same board works very well with MDK-ARM. Why ? (I've already run other examples with Cube IDE)Thank you by advance
Hello, I am working on an STM32WB55CG project and testing it on the NUCLEO-WB55RG board. I would like to do the firmware update over the ST BLE sensor app. I have loaded the bootloader program provided by st that is BLE_OTA file from the example. I have made the necessary changes to the user application such as editing the linker script, implementing reboot request characteristics, checking magic keywords, and so on. the user application is something similar to the heart_rate_ota example. I am able to flash this file using the st BLE sensor app. Since my app and code don't have a reboot button on the app similar to the heartrate_ota example I would like to do it with a user button. I am not able to figure this out. I tried different methods and doesn't work. my code in the interrupt look like this. This code only reset the board. what all changes need to be done for deleting the sectors and get an advertisement from the ota bootloader program. For example, when I press the button the e

STM32WB controllers are dual-core processers where Arm® Cortex®?M4 core running at 64 MHz for application and Arm Cortex?M0+ core at 32 MHz for network or BLE. To transmit data through BLE aci_gatt_update_char_value() Function used which blocks Arm® Cortex®?M4 core. Why does the BLE Transmission function block Arm® Cortex®?M4?Is there an approach or method to transmit data via BLE without blocking the Arm® Cortex® M4?
We are trying build a LoRa based vibration sensor node. We are using Murata's 1SJ open MCU based LoRa model, having inbuilt STM32L072 controller. We wanted to ensure the suitability of the inbuilt MCU for vibration measurement and analysis. We wanted to do FFT transformation of the vibration data with help of the DSP library provided with CMSIS. We also intend to use X-CUBE-DSPDEMO cube expansion package for the same. Does STM32L0 series controllers are capable of taking such workloads or should I go for an external MCU (say with Cortex-M4 core)?
Hi I am testing STM32WL55I am trying to communicate through UART1 and UART2 using DMA.I set up DMA as below. USART1_TX => DMA2_Channel 7 : Normal USART1_RX => DMA2_Channel 6 : Circular USART2_TX => DMA2_Channel 2 : Normal USART2_RX => DMA2_Channel 1 : CircularI set up RX DMA as below HAL_UART_Receive_DMA(&huart1, &rxBuffer1, 1); HAL_UART_Receive_DMA(&huart2, &rxBuffer2, 1);and I coded rx callback function as belowvoid HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { if (huart->Instance == USART1) { loadReceiveConsoleData(rxBuffer1); } else if(huart->Instance == USART2) { loadReceiveModemData(rxBuffer2); } }When sending data to UART1, the loadReceiveConsoleData function handles it well and there is no problem. But when sending data to UART2, the callback function is called only once, and the loadReceiveModemData function is not executed since it is not called after that. I don't know why.Can you tell me what is the problem ?and Can you le
I want to use USB_Device with CDC class and BLE together. USB_Device is used as virtual COM port. The BLE stack is initialized as server. Without initializing the BLE-Stack, USB device runs as expected. I can connect with a terminal, running on PC, with the serial port. The BLE stack is running anyway, I can connect with STM32 Sensor App. But at the moment the BLE stack is initialized, the USB_Device stops working. A connection via terminal is not possible anymore.Debugging the problem shows, that no USB interrupts are generated anymore. The problem seems to occure, when the sequencer runs the task with ID CFG_TASK_SYSTEM_HCI_ASYNCH_EVT_ID (BLE stack initialisation). This tasks is called each time the shci_notify_asynch_evt notification is received. By the way, heap is set to 0x2000 and stack to 0x800.I have generated the code with STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.5.1, using STM32Cube FW_WB V1.10.1. Additionally, I have followed and changed code according to Chapter 3 of STM presentation "How to
I saw the BLE security with STM32WB course at youtube by ST microelectronics. On this tutorial they show how to configure a characteristic pairing only. which means the pairing request could not occur during connection establishments. The connection established successfully without any pairing process. The pairing process starts only when i try to read a data from peripheral. I want to establish this paring process during connection b/w two devices. I would be glad if anyone has some advice for me.
Hi all,As you know, Nucleo -WL55JC1 activates both Hi and Lo Power modes for Tx. I reviewed the matching network for both Hi and Lo Power P.A outputs and filtering and matching elements values(capacitors & inductors) are not associated with calculating formulas given in AN5457. Therefore, I do not know what is the approximate P.A output impedance determining the specific matching network. What is the maximum attenuation that would be inserted from the filtering/matching network between P.A output and antenna socket when this circuit resonates at 868MHz?For my business case, I want to provide an average optimal TX power output of 17 dBm before the antenna. So, if we attach a helical antenna(50Ohms) with its gain of 3dBi, the accumulative total radiated power will be 20 dBi(EiRP). Because of range of P.A TX power in Hi mode varies from 15dBm up to 22 dBm, I will centralize(maximum resonance) the TX power at 17dBm@868MHz and manage low losses mismatching as much as possible for down si
I'm using the same network style as the NUCLEO-WL55JC which is tuned to a different frequency. This includes the use of the BGS13S4N9 RF switch that selects Tx (HP), Tx (LP) or Rx to connect with the antenna. The matching network design guide (AN5457) covers everything up to the switch but there's a network for matching to a connector or PCB antenna which comes after the switch.I want to use the Johanson 0915AT43A0026 chip antenna. In the datasheet they state that a pi-type L-L-C network (4.7nH, 10nH, 0.5pF) is required for this chip with a 50Ω feed. Some similar cases can be found on the web where a combination of both matching networks was the solution but these did not involve a switch so the "MCU" matching circuit was equivalent to what we have before the RF switch (which needs to be kept as-is).How can the chip antenna be used with the antenna-side terminal of the 3-way RF switch?Note: I get the impression that the existing (pcb/connector) matching is intended for a naked trace/wir
I'm looking at Appending A.1.10 of AN5457 where the PA matching impedance measurements for the UFQFPN48 package @14dBm and 915Mhz are shown. I cannot match up the points 1 through 5 in figure 80 with the rows 1 through 5 in table 14 below the figure. For example, point 5 in the chart is between the 22mA and 23mA lines but the table lists 27.38. There are 3 points above the 25mA contour in the chart but only 2 in the table. Etc.
Hello. I am programming a stm32wb55rg Nucleo and the debug was working as expected. A few days ago I decided to add the trace functionallity that the BLE packet has in these microcontrollers. Since then when I want to run the code I have to push for four times the button of "start running code" until it works. I have delete all breakpoints on the project and I have check all the files (.c and .h) and I am not able to see the yellow arrow that indicates where the code is being executed. Do you know what could be happening?. Thanks a lot for your time. (Keil version: 5.28.0 CubeMX version 6.3.0)
if i can use it what are DBCC1 and DBCC2 ??
Hi everyone, I work on WB55Nucleos code works in one but not in the other. I use the example P2PSERV code. Working one led blinking but other one led don't blinking. I upgrade fus and other drivers in not working one. What will be the problem? Code is the same. Working one Fus version is 0.5.3.
I detected a problem : If the MX GPIO_Init(); is called before the MX_APPE_Init(); the HAL_GPIO_Togglepin not work.To solve it, I call MX_GPIO_Init(); after the MX_APPE_Init();
So this is my third day working on this problem.I have created an P2P server project based after the example and the MOOC videos. It works just fine, no problem during the first 60 seconds. The current consumption is around 200uA during advertising. But when the advertising stops the current goes up to 2.0 - 2.5mA I have compared the p2p server project example file by file, and there is nothing that i can find that could cause this. The board is custom designed by me, and all the IO ports are electrical disconnected to any other parts of the board. the oscillators and components are taken from a WB55 dev board from ST. The MCU is the STM32WB35CEU7A with the latest FUS V1.2.0 and BLE_Stack_full V1.12.1Project is based on cube V1.12.0I have made two identical PCB boards, result is the same on both. I have added a Task that blinks an led each 5 seconds, and additional led that shows when the M4 core is running. And both blinks the same time both before and after advertising stops. So m
I have been using the WB since it was alpha release 0.x.y and so I have a long-established proprietary app running on the STM32WB55RG Nucleo board. Using the BLE full stack, configuring the GAP role as (GapRolePeripheral | GapRoleCentral) and subsequently advertising and scanning (both separately and simultaneously/synchronized intervals, obviously). After all advertising/scanning and connecting (as a master and/or slave) are finished, the proscribed protocol is followed to enter STOP2. But starting with v1.12 (and repeatable in v1.12.1) the current draw is higher in STOP2 after advertising. To be sure, current draw is lower than during advertising, and for sure over-the-air advertising does stop when it is requested, but STOP2 current draw is never as low as expected. This observation is made only after starting and stopping advertising after powerup and initialization. So scanning can be turned on and off and STOP2 is as expected. Advertising can be turned on, a connection as a slave r
I am using P-NUCLEO-WB55.I set 3 buttons (SW1 / SW2 / SW3) to GPIO_EXTI. I confirmed that an interrupt is generated when the button is pressed. After that, if the middleware STM32_WPAN (BLE) is enabled, no interrupt will occur even if the button is pressed. How can I use GPIO interrupts with STM32_WPAN enabled?
I am using the L462E try to connect an IoT platform. But I am not sure which communication protocol it is using? Is it using HTTP, MQTT, or CoAP??
