Hi,My board is NUCLEO-WB55RG, connected to host PC by USB(not ST-LINK),I'm trying to switch it between application and dfu,I set board to DFU by modifying option byte in application(nBOOT1=1, nBOOT0/nSWBOOT0 = 0),then use STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe to set nBOOT0 to 1 to switch back to applicaiton STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -c port=usb1 -ob nboot0=1It's working, board does comeback to application, but CLI always shows "Unable to reconnect the target device: time out expired",it make sense because board reset and boot to application immediately after changing option byte,so CLI can't connect to board again and shows error massage,Do we have way to eliminate the CLI error message?or skip the reconnect and verify step? Thanks~
Hello,I have bought a devkit NUCLEO-WL55JC2. I'm looking for an IAR EWARM template project or examples. Someone knows where i can find it? I find only examples running under CUBEIDE.Thanks !
Dear all,I need to design a custom board for LoRa 868MHz network. The AN5457 provides the design example considering the +22 dBm (when using RFO_HP) or +14 dBm (when using RFO_LP)) with UFQFPN48 package. Also, the output impedance is reported for different output power and optimal settings (Appendix A1.7).I'm interested in using the UFBGA package, which is the same used in the Altium reference design available here for the NUCLEO-WL55JC: https://www.st.com/resource/en/schematic_pack/mb1389-wl55jc-highband-e02_schematic.pdf In the above design, the matching network for the RFO_LP is different from the one provided within the application node AN5457 even if the +14dBm power is considered. See below: This is a bit confusing to me. Is the output impedance different for the UFBGA package? If yes, where those impedances can be found? It is difficult to follow the design steps you provided in the AN when, within the Altium design, the chosen component values are different from the ones
"Failed to start GDB server Error in initializing ST-LINK device. Reason: (4) No device found on target." Does anybody know? Thanks a lot!!
Hello everyone. I am working with nucleo-wl55jc1 (with stm32wl) and i have a problem. When i try to download a program in cortex m4 i can make it succesfully. But when i try to download a program in cortex m0+ , debugging is unsuccesful. "Failed to start GDB server Error in initializing ST-LINK device. Reason: (4) No device found on target." Does anybody know? Thanks a lot!!
For this , I am using STM32WLJC1 Nucleo as my end node device.I was able to generate the binaries as suggested in AN5554. I want to know how I can fragment this binary as required by LoRaWAN® Fragmented Data Block Transport Specification v1.0.0 and use the fragmented file to push using custom application server to network server(having multicast support, say things network ) so that end node receives the updates over air.Any example ,resources or help to establish me this chain for LoRaWAN FOTA will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Hi,I'm trying to form a user defined network, but i always get the next error when I receive a response: [M0] [00000017.002][PLATFORM] aps_sec_build : Unable to encrypt (no security material for 0x0080e125001b6836 with key type = 0x00).The configuration parameters for the coordinator are the next ones: config.extendedPanId = 0x400; config.panId = 0x7171; config.shortAddress = 0x7171; config.networkManagerAddress = 0x7171; config.startupControl = ZbStartTypeForm;and the ones for the End devices: config.startupControl = ZbStartTypeRejoin; config.net
Good afternoon,Test1: I want to upgrade the FUS (at the moment it is FUS version 0.5.3.0) to upload next, the FTD thread stack. But when I upload the stm32wb5x_FUS_fw_for_fus_0_5_3.bin (from the last version of Patch-CubeWB: FUS version 1.2.0) with SMT32CubeProgrammer, I got the following eror: "Error: FUS_AUTH_TAG_CUST_NOTFOUND".Test2: I read on a forum that before uploading the FUS version 1.2.0, I have to upload an old version of the FUS. So I tried with stm32wb5x_FUS_fw_1_0_2.bin (from the version 1.10.1 of Patch-CubeWB: FUS version 1.0.2.0) and I got the following error: "Error: FUS_AUTH_TAG_CUST_NOTFOUND"I tried again the Test1 with STM32CubeWB version 1.13.0, I got the same issue and the Test2 with STM32CubeWB version 1.2.0, I got the same issue. For all the tests, I followed the Release_Notes.html but it never works. Can you give me some help please ?Have a nice day!Teddy TAILLEPIERRE.
It's very hard to add it without instructions to not break existing infrastructure with LoRa.When I run simple example generated from classic .IOC file I got the I2C running without a problem. The board I'm using: Murata Type 1SJ
CFG_DEBUG_TRACE are gray and I can not enable it. All options are the same as in example project for WB55. I can not use example project because I have different MCU. As I understand, bug exists for years, but nobody cares.

I was testing the STM32WB5MMG on the new U585 IOTA discovery kit and I'm facing some issues.I generated a project using STM32CubeIde with the MXEditor. After enabling all the default peripherals and changing the example config of BLE, some points are noted:The RTC Backup domain registers are protected, you have to call HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess(); prior to executing HAL_RTC_Init, otherwise it will fail with a timeout.IPCC interrupts are not enabled automatically when enabling the RF + STM32_WPAN, so you will manually have to go to the NVIC controller and enable them. Now after fixing this, atleast I could get the code running and the advertisers showing in.In whireshark I can see that:STM32WB5MMG is sending ADV_INDMobile phone is sending SCAN_REQSTM32WB5MMG is responding with SCAN_RESMobile phone sends CONNECT_INDThe STM32WB5MMG is not establishing the connection. Is this a know behaviour? Am I missing something? Like and API call to process the connection request? I'm using a custom
Running a program on the stm32wl nucleo board works fine, but if I enable debugging it alwaus crashes. This does the same thing on my custom board. It's always the same signal handler
How can I find the source code of ST BLE Toolbox? Is there any experience with Flutter or React and which Libraries are useful. Is there someone who has already implemented this successfully or should it be better to use other development environments? What can I look for what are the key points. Thanks very much Best Regards Hainer
Hi,I am currently working on a bluetooth application developing it on Nucleo STM32WB55 (FW version V1.13.1, BLE Stack Full). If the system is in a low power state, STOP2, can it be woken up via bluetooth? If so, is this awakening established by any kind of bluetooth activity that wakes up CPU2 and then the whole system? Is it possible to reach the STOP2 mode also once the connection with an external device has been made, so that it is woken up by a message, or it happens only during advertising in the interval between two requests, waking up the device by making the connection?Thank you very much
Hello everybody,I'm using the AT code modified in order to join my own server with an OTAA configuration in a solar application, so every morning the system goes up, and late afternoon the system shuts down.I want to store session keys, counters and all stuff necesary for not rejoining server each time a power down/up is done.CONTEXT_MANAGEMENT_ENABLED is defined to 1, and I needed to add some libraries related to nvm (NvmDataMgmt.c/.h and nvmm.c/.h).When firmware enters in LmHandlerConfigure(), I receive a "Restored", showing that we are here: // Restore data if required nbNvmData = NvmDataMgmtRestore( ); // Try to restore from NVM and query the mac if possible. if( nbNvmData > 0 ) { MW_LOG(TS_OFF, VLEVEL_M, "###### RESTORED\r\n"); CtxRestoreDone = true; } else { MW_LOG(TS_OFF, VLEVEL_M, "###### NOT RESTORED\r\n"); CtxRestoreDone = false; }However, I try to send a message without doing a AT_JOIN and always returns AT_BUSY.Need to send some special AT command be
I am currently using 2 STM32WB55RG MCUs (one as a server and one as a client) with a Si7021-A20 temperature sensor that is completely functional on the "client" MCU and have no idea how to trigger a signal to be sent to the server from the client to turn on an LED when the temperature sensor exceeds a certain threshold.I based my project on the ZigbeeOnOff server/client example code and have been having no luck finding any of the actual code for functions like ZbZclOnOffClientToggleReq which the example uses to send a message from client to server that toggles an LED on the server MCU when the 1st push-button is pressed. Here is the datasheet for the temperature sensor, and attached (mirror) is the main.c file for our client MCU.Can anyone point me in the right direction? also, does anyone know where I can find the actual code for functions that send Zigbee messages between boards?
Hi,I am currently working on a bluetooth application developing it on STM32WB55 Nucleo (FW version V1.13.1, BLE Stack Full)Since the device will have to be connected to a battery, I was researching the use of Low Power modes.Unfortunately, I'm not clear on the correct procedure to send in STOP2 mode the whole system, keeping the bluetooth active, I've already read questions on the forum and examples provided by ST but I'm not very clear on the whole procedure.Reading on the forum, I understood that the second core is self-managing with regard to low power, and the first core can not control it otherwise it would break the power management.Hence, there would be my questions:- The correct procedure to follow on the first core, to send it into STOP 2, what would it be?- Would there be any initialization or procedure to take into account to do also for the second core at the beginning?- Since the system will go in that mode only when both cores are in the same state, how can I control the
Hey, I am relatively new to developing with the STM32WB55RGV6. Do I always have to start with CubeMX when developing? Do you work only with the CubeIDE? how is your workflow?thanks in advanceEddy
Hello, I am working on STM32WB55cg project. the current fus version is v1.2.0.0. For this version of fus I have to update ble stack full version with starting address 0x080C7000 which is the 199 th sector of flash. I have done this. I tried to upload the ble_ota_reference.hex file from the stm32cube firmware package version v1.13.1 and the Bluetooth is advertising. But when I connect Bluetooth from the st ble sensor app it is cutting out. To get the advertisement again I have to reset the board. Because of this, I am not able to perform ble over the air update. In addition, I have user application where the 199 th sector is used. so it is not desirable for me to use the latest version of ble. I would like to make the fus version 1.1.0 so that I can update the ble stack with version v1.8.0 and it's starting address is 0x080CB000 and this is a sector 203. So, how to make it FUS version 1.1.0. I tried it from stm32cubeprogrammer. Since my fus version is latest and 1.2.0 I am not able to d
I'm sampling 8-bit audio at 8 kHZ, with a mic output biased at around 1.6 volts. The issue is that we need to end up with a signed 8-bit representation of the signal (in the range of -127 to 128), but the raw data in the ADC's data register will be represented as an unsigned 8 bit type (with values ranging from 0 to 255). The only way I know to deal with this issue is to subtract the DC offset (that I'd determine through a moving average calibration phase) from each sample right before it's written to memory. I can't subtract the offset after the sample is written to memory because the data type of the memory buffer needs to remain SIGNED, not unsigned, and signed information will not be preserved and will be corrupted if I just load the values from the ADC data register straight to memory. However, this is not ideal either because I am trying to utilize DMA to bus my samples to memory and avoid 8 kHZ interrupts (where I would need to take care of the offset). So is there a way to use
The reason I'm looking for it is because I was able to run SubGHz_Phy successfully but I'm unable to enable the I2C or GPIOs at all. The board I'm using: Murata Type 1SJBest Regards.Milan
Hello everyone. I want to make a lorawan application with nucleo-wl55jc1 and connect it to server TTN via gateway. I have problem when i try to run the application with stm32wl. Can somebody help me do it? I can download and debug cortex m4 but i cant find and download m0+. Thanks regardless!!
Hi.Using STM32Cubeprogrammer API v.2.7.0 with STM32WB55 and USB interface, I find an error when to call initOptionBytesInterface()....peripheral_C* options_bytes;options_bytes = initOptionBytesInterface();...As we know, "peripheral_C" structure have a fields:typedef struct peripheral_C{ char name[32]; /**< Peripheral name. */ char description[200]; /**< Peripheral description. */ unsigned int banksNbr; /**< Number of existed banks. */ bank_C** banks; /**< Get banks descriptions #Bank_C. */}peripheral_C;And after call I see that the banksNbr = very big value. Its a same for 32 or 64 platforms. This is 32 platform:As you see, options_bytes address = 0x02fa6e90.If we add to this address lenghts of fields name[32] and description[200]our result will be 0x02fa6f78 as we can se
