Hey,Im working with nucleo-wl55jc1 and I’m trying to work with 300kbps rate.I’ve read in the RM0453 reference manual that it is possible, but as I know the gfsk parameters doesn’t allow this rate. Can someone recommand gfsk parameters that work will with this rate? THANKS!
this is the example of BLE heart rate ,its working and showing data on ST BLE Sensor app.The data that is taken in the program is raw .i want to print data of ADC channel .how i can assign the ADC channel data to the app or how i can replace the random data with adc channel data.?
Hi, I am using two NUCLEO WB15CC boards to make the BLE p2pcentral and BLE p2pServer work as said in the ReadMe of the these examples. But I always run into the same error on the client side. I am using the latest firmware on both sides. From the debug prints, server seems to work fine. Plus I can use the STM32 mobile application to control the blue LED on the server board as explained in the readme of server example. But if I press the SW1 on client side for general discovery, the attempt fails with same error BLE_App_Start_Limited_Disc_Req, Failed. Obviously, as shown below, this happens because aci_gap_start_observation_proc () fails. I replaced the original aci_gap_start_general_discovery_proc () with the observation_proc() call after going through similar posts. But this change did not work either. I still run into this error as below. Can someone please help me ? I am trying to use one of these development kits to capture pakets from a particular ble beaco
Hello, It is not clear to me if I can set stm32wb55 to advertise for connection (e.g., fast, slow) during sleep mode.In case a client connects to me, will I get a connection event that will wake CPU1?What are the sleep modes( power consumptions) of each CPU in the best case?
What is the maximum Link Range in the SPSGRF running 868MHz in stm32 B-L475E-IOT01A2 Board ?
I want to know if the STM32WB series can operate normally with a main frequency of 100 kHz in low-power-run mode, including the RF part?
Hi,It's first time using st product to me.according to that's UM, i thought that connect CN11 to PC it work debugging.but it wasn't and showed warning message "No ST-LINK detected! Please connect ST-LINK and restart the debug session"ST-LINK isn't included on the board? It is necessary to buy ST-LINK/V2? if it is how to connect this board?
I have just sent a notification to the client, but noticed , I did not get a notification confirmation event back. This event :(ACI_GATT_SERVER_CONFIRMATION_VSEVT_CODE) Since then, I cannot send any more notifications on the characteristic. Why is that? And more importantly, How do I "reset" it?
Hi,currently, I am using an NX2016SA (as recommended by ST) to generate the HSE (32 MHz) for an STM32WB55RGV6 microcontroller.I did not calibrate it, but so far everything works and I have a BLE range of up to 25 meters. Now I am planning to getting my device certified for BLE, but I worry, because I did not calibrate the HSE. I don´t think I have equipment available to calibrate a signal to +- 25 ppm. Sounds a bit insane to me.I did some measurements first: I switch between HSI and HSE and measure a current consumption of 3,36 mA for the HSE crystal at 3 V (1,13 mA / V is specified in the datasheet). I get a startup time of just 120 us from HSI to HSE. In the datasheet, a typical time for the XOREADY signal is specified as 250 us. How can it be that fast?To switch between HSE and HSI, I use the following code: void Turn_On_HSI(void) { LL_RCC_HSI_Enable(); while(!LL_RCC_HSI_IsReady()) { } LL_RCC_SetSysClkSource(LL_RCC_SYS_CLKSOURCE_HSI); while (LL_RCC_GetSysClkSource() != LL_
Hi all,I read this advertising in the datasheet:<<The SMPS needs a clock to be functional. If for any reason this clock stops, the device maybe destroyed.[...]Danger: Before enabling the SMPS, the SMPS clock detection must be enabled in the sub-GHz radio SUBGHZ_SMPSC0R.CLKDE.>>I only found references to SUBGHZ_SMPSC0R in:STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.0.0\Middlewares\Third_Party\SubGHz_Phy\stm32_radio_driver\radio_driver.h#define SUBGHZ_SMPSC0R 0x0916STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.0.0\Projects\NUCLEO-WL55JC\Examples\PWR\PWR_SMPS\Src\main.cUse exampleIn the Datasheet:<<The LDO or SMPS step-down converter operating mode can be configured by one of thefollowing:• by the MCU using the SMPSEN setting in PWR control register 5 (PWR_CR5), thatdepends upon the MCU system operating mode (Run, Stop, Standby or Shutdown).• by the sub-GHz radio using SetRegulatorMode() command and the sub-GHz radiooperating mode (Sleep, Calibrate, Standby, Standby with HSE32 or Active). After any POR and NRST reset, the
I have a zigbee 3 client working on channel 11 . But It was developed by some other person who was not in touch anymore .. the issue is I need to develop a project that only read a temperature data and frequency value and send those 2 values over zigbee client that connected on a PC through a TTL .. I don't have any idea about zigbee communication procedure and API s . And also I didn't got any source where I can easily understand the process .. can anybody give. Some guidance to do th process
Hello,I am trying to comunicate the STM32U5 of the board with the STM32WB module, as I need a star network (1 client with 5 servers), I could also use a mesh. To comunicate different nodes. I am having trouble with it, as I just send basic "AT+BLE_RST=1" and I never get any response. I have flashed the STM32WB with FUS and BLE stack using STM32CubeProgrammer wireless tab and then the BLE_AT_Server module application as noted here: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeU5/tree/main/Projects/B-U585I-IOT02A/Applications/BLE/BLE_AT_ClientIn the U5 I set the UART4 TX as blocking:HAL_UART_Transmit(UARTx, buffer, length, 1000) != HAL_OK)And RX with DMA:__HAL_UART_ENABLE_IT(UARTx, UART_IT_IDLE); HAL_UART_Receive_DMA(UARTx, stm32wb_rx_buffer, stm32wb_rx_buffer_size); And expecting to get the answer on:void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) I have previous experience on doing this with H7s, F4s, L4s, but I do not know if is a problem with the GPDMA o
Hi, I'm working on a project involving 2.4GHz RF communication and I am considering using the STM32WB series alongside the BlueNRG-1. I'm looking into the compatibility of these two devices, especially regarding the use of ST's specific drivers. My question is: Can the STM32WB communicate with the BlueNRG-1 when the BlueNRG-1 is using the "ST radio proprietary driver" and the STM32WB is using the "BLE low level driver (LLD)"? (The APIs of these drivers seem similar, so I'm hopeful about the potential for integration.)
Looking to migrate our design from the SPBTLE-RF to the STM32WB1MMCH6. Our application is running on a separate MCU communicating with the module using the HCI & ACI doing BLE communications. Has anyone done this migration, or know if the modules have compatible interfaces?
Dear support team, I was trying to build a thread device with a nucleo-wb55rg board. I did the following steps:- Implement Full chip erase- Upgrade firmware STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.17.3\Projects\STM32WB_Copro_Wireless_Binaries\STM32WB5x\stm32wb5x_Thread_FTD_fw.bin at address 0x08083000. I referred to the release note, the firmware version is V1.17.1- Download example Thread_Cli_Cmd and build/upload- I got it running but it says the radio failed and many issues exist. Please have a look at the attached image. Please help me check it. What should I do?
Hi,I'm new to Zigbee and STM32WB55, and I need to retrieve certain electrical measurement attributes through Zigbee Server and Client communication. While examining the electrical measurement header file (zcl.elec.meas.h), I observed that some attributes are currently disabled (as given below, they are marked as False in the same header file comments). Comment description ======================= * EMR.S.A0505 | RMSVoltage | False | Optional * EMR.S.A0508 | RMSCurrent | False | Optional I'd like to inquire whether it's possible to access the attributes listed below. If these attributes are initially deactivated, what steps can be taken to enable them for functionality? These are some Electrical Measurement Server Attribute IDs enum ZbZclElecMeasSvrAttrT { ZCL_ELEC_MEAS_ATTR_RMS_VOLT = 0x0505, /**< RMSVoltage (Optional) */ ZCL_ELEC_MEAS_ATTR_RMS_CURR = 0x0508, /**< RMSCurrent (Optional) */ } --Thanks & Regards,Naani C
I would like to do peer - peer stuff and experiment with LoRa.....Question: Do I use the LoRaWan stack when I am doing peer - peer, or is that strictly used when I want to communicate to a gateway? Is there literature that explains all the settings in CubeMX when I turn on the Lora module?Thank you
I'm starting using BLE Mesh on Nucleo wb55rg, I've seen the STM32CubeWB Package and in it there are tools for getting started with a BLE mesh Network. Following the steps in this wiki I get a small error.I'm uploading code for Friend NodeI'm uploading code for Low-Power Node (after modifying the associated code)When push the button 1 (like explain on the wiki) I have this error: "elementAddress" failed: file "../../../../../../Middlewares/BLE_Mesh_Lib/pal/STM32WB/pal_crypto.c", line 3170, function: MoblePalCrypto_GetModelPublicationParameters The rest of the operation presented in the wiki is not done Note: I don't use exactly the same references as the wikiI have 2 Nucleo WB55RG (one it's Friend Node and other is LP Node), not a nucleo and a p-nucleoAfter searching on the internet I still don't understand where this error comes from.Thank you for you reply
Hi everyone, I have a project to send a struct to receiver Lora from transmitter Lora. I have searched almost all sources to use Lora with STM32CubeIDE while using a library or not, but I couldn't send a data anyway. Can someone help me about this problem please?
I have 2 NUCLEO-WL55JC1 boards I am using to communicate using LoRa. The Tx board sends a message every 10 seconds, the Rx board receives the message and lights up an LED..I have this working at SF7, the same spreading factor as the ping-pong example I copied the code from, but if I try to change this to SF12 (on both Tx and Rx projects) the Rx board never receives messages.Any ideas on how I can fix this? Her is the code #include <stdio.h> #include <radio_driver.h> #include "types.h" #include "radio.h" #define RF_FREQUENCY 924000000 /* Hz */ #define TX_OUTPUT_POWER 14 /* dBm */ #define LORA_BANDWIDTH LORA_BW_500 /* KHz */ #define LORA_SPREADING_FACTOR LORA_SF9 #define LORA_CODINGRATE LORA_CR_4_5 #define LORA_PREAMBLE_LENGTH 8 /* Same for Tx and Rx */ #define LORA_SYMBOL_TIMEOUT 5 /* Symbols */ #define LORA_RX_TIMEOUT 10000 /* milliseconds */ #define RADIO_RX_BUFFER_SIZE 10 #define ZERO_OFFSET 0 typedef enum { RADIO_STATE_IDLE, RADIO_STATE_RX_COMPLETE
I have been stuck on the OTA using BLE. I have understood how to change the linker file in STM32 Cube IDE(Flash. ID) and I have most of my code written by my team on arduino ide(basically it is BLE Application). Now my problem is that I am unable to sort out that how can I change the linker file in arduino ide(STM32duino) because they don't have any open access to the linker files. Is there any method to do that also does the STM32 BLE class in arduino ide also provides a way to update using OTA.Thank you for your thoughts.
I have an STM32WB55 Nucleo Pack and i thought i'd try out the BLE heartbeat monitor example on the MB1355C board, so i opened up the STM32CubeProgrammer, put the power selector to USB STL and could connect ok.I Selected the hex file for the heartbeat monitor example and used the Automatic option to try to write it to the board. It said it finished writing to board N:1, connect board N:2 and hung. So i disconnected the board and plugged it back in and i noticed not much was happening, and i couldn't see the bluetooth device using my phone, so i tried to connect it back to the STM32CubeProgrammer and i noticed it would no longer connect. If i open the cube programmer, and select "Firmware Upgrade" no device appears. However, if i click the button that says "Open in Update Mode" the board resets, device information appears and i can upgrade the firmware. The board still mounts like a drive and i can still drag files into the drive which magically disappear after the board is reset. Can anyo
Hello, the reference design STDES-WL5U2SBB (MB1791) specifies a frequency range between 470-530 MHz. I plan to run LoRa on 433MHz with 10 dBm. I do not wish to use a 4-layer PCB in my product design. This seems to be the only version that has 2-layers and falls roughly within the frequency range. I am using the STM32WL55CCU6. Would this design still work with 433/434 MHz? Best Regards,Daniel PS. I have manufactured the 868MHz MB1874-LP and this works great.
In the STM32CubeWB source code collection, I found the BLE_Peripheral_Lite project. This project however is only available for the P-NUCLEO-WB55, but I am working with the NUCLEO-WB15 board.According the Release notes this should be easy:<quote>The provided examples can be tailored to run on any compatible hardware; user simply need to update the BSP drivers for his board, if it has the same hardware functions (LED, LCD display, pushbuttons...etc.). The BSP is based on a modular architecture that allows it to be ported easily to any hardware by just implementing the low level routines.</quote> My question is: How do I update the BSP drivers for my board? BR, Ben
Hi,Is it possible to import files from I-CUBE-LRWAN package to a new project generated with MX? From the info I've found so far I know there is no way to import it automatically with Cube MX and I have to transfer them manually but I'm not sure which ones and how to link them later.I'm using b-l072z-lrwan1 board and would like to have the functionality of the "end-node" example from I-CUBE-LRWAN package. How should I go about this?
