Where can I find the SVD file for the stm32wba52? Sincerely,Dana
Hi, I am working on implementing custom clusters for STM32WB series Zigbee modules. Here, I would like to know, what is the maximum number of attributes that can be transmitted in a single packet? I came across some documents and understood that the payload size will also vary in secure and non-secure modes.Any suggestions here? Thanks. --Naani Ch
Hi there,In Custom Clusters, I'm exploring the option of defining an attribute capable of storing a string with a variable length. I need some information on below parameter 'customValSz':// structure ZbZclAttrT from zcl.h unsigned int customValSz; /**< A custom size is required if the data type is one of: * ZCL_DATATYPE_STRING_OCTET, * ZCL_DATATYPE_STRING_CHARACTER, * ZCL_DATATYPE_STRING_LONG_OCTET, * ZCL_DATATYPE_STRING_LONG_CHARACTER, * ZCL_DATATYPE_ARRAY, * ZCL_DATATYPE_STRUCT, * ZCL_DATATYPE_SET, * ZCL_DATATYPE_BAG * * A custom size is also required if both customRead and customWrite callbacks * are provided and ZCL_ATTR_FLAG_PERSISTABLE is set. * * The maximum size is the length returned by ZbZclClusterGetMaxAsduLength() or * the cluster's maxAsduLength parameter. It should not exceed * ZB_APS_CONST_MAX_FRAG_SIZE. */It is evident from the information above that we can send a maximum of ZB_APS_CONST_MAX_FRAG_SIZE, which is 2000 bytes. Please co
Greetings, I am a beginner in STM32WB55 development and I have a project that requires using the SARA-R422M8S-00B module to connect to the AWS IoT core. I have installed FreeRTOS in the STM32Cube MX, but I am not sure how to use the core MQTT and AWS IoT libraries that are included in FreeRTOS. I have also faced many errors while compiling FreeRTOS. I would appreciate any guidance or resources on how to start this project. Thank you for your time and attention.
Good morning.I am using a NUCLEO-WB55 board and nRF Connect to prototype a design. I am trying to understand notifications. Using the attached picture I am hoping someone can answer my question. The characteristic a1725a01.... has read, notification and indication properties on it. I have enabled notifications. Characteristic a1725a02 has read and write properties on it. Both characteristics (a01 and a02) read the same variable. If I write to characteristic a02 and then read characteristic a02 I get what I wrote (as one would expect). The question I have is:With a01 notifications enabled should I expect that a01 automatically updates with the value (recall a01 and a02 point to the same variable) or do I have to intentionally read a01 to get the value to update? Thank you.
Hello,Using STM32Cube FW_WB V1.18.0 on STM32WB5MMG, and compiler IAR.Config with Tickless idle and LPM_ENABLEWe have an application that is using osDelay() and finding that the idle task hangs here,Line 3478: configASSERT( xNextTaskUnblockTime >= xTickCount );With values 10 and 13 respectively. We have set the LPM to only use Sleep mode while we are booting the system. Using,UTIL_LPM_SetStopMode( flgs, UTIL_LPM_DISABLE );Any ideas why this might be?
STM32WB55RGV MCU is in use, and BLE_HeartRateFreeRTOS example is under review. In the example of BLE_HeartRateFreeRTOS, it was confirmed that the STOP2 mode function was included, but I don't know the Stop mode entry conditions. And I wonder if I can set the BLE ad timeout in the BLE_HeartRateFreeRTOS example.Or let me know if you have any documentation that explains this example in detail...This is because I want to know information such as current consumption in STOP2 mode.
I am using the p-nucelo-lrwan3 and I have been using the i-cube-wl project and i did some changes to the region and to the activation mode but it doesn't join the network can any body help me with it

Hi, I am trying to measure the power consumption of my NUCLEO-WL55JC2.In the user manual here Is what I found : Jumper JP1, labeled I_SoC, is used to measure the STM32WL microcontroller consumption by removing thejumper and by connecting an ammeter. Their location in the power structure is shown in Figure 19.JP1 ON. STM32WL is powered with 3V3 voltage (default)JP4 OFF. An ammeter must be connected to measure the STM32WL current. If there is no ammeter, the STM32 is not powered. Normally, only one jumper is used to connect the ammeter. However, when I try to put connect an ammeter in the JP1 or JP4 I don't see any current and can't run my code in the stm32cubeIDE.Does anyone have an idea of where should I connect the ammeter and how to proceed? Thanks for your time
Hello ST community, I am leading a project at university and I would like to make a communication between two STM32WL55JC1 cards using the LoRa protocol without a gateway. I'm not very familiar with STM32CubeIDE and any help would be much appreciated. The aim is to recover data from an accelerometer that will be transmitted by a serial communication to the first STM32 card and then make a wireless communication to recover the data on the other card. First of all, I would like to know if I can make a communication between two LoRa device without using a gateway. Thanks for your answers. Jules.
Good morning,I am building a system with stm32 wl55jc1 to count water flow with a pulse flow meter. So I created two internal clocks in stm32 one to create a time window and the other that counts each pulse received from the sensor. At the trigger of the first clock I check how many pulses the second clock counted and get the instantaneous flow rate.I put an LED in parallel with the signal to visually see the pulses. The problem is that the count the clock makes and the pulses I see do not match.I would like to ask for some documentation on the input voltage and so that I can design my RC circuit as best I can (as I am convinced that the problem is electrical). thanks for your time, greetings Roberto
I have been getting warnings similar to the following when I link with LinkLayer_BLE_Full_lib.a and stm32wba_ble_stack_full.a. output.axf is the executable elf file. objdump is from Ubuntu 23. objdump -g 'output.axf' > 1.txtobjdump: Warning: Invalid length 0xc000000 in FDE at 0x30cadThe PDE problem causes a problem with Segger Ozone. It is unable to unwind the call stack and warns "ELF data section 'debug.frame' has an unexpected byte size".I don't get the warnings when I use LinkLayer_BLE_Basic_lib.a and stm32wba_ble_stack_basic.a. Ozone doesn't have an unwinding problem with the basic versions. Is there a known way to use LinkLayer_BLE_Full_lib.a and stm32wba_ble_stack_full.a without causing an invalid FDE.I am using STM32Cube_FW_WBA_V1.2.0, Nucleo-WBA52CG, Ubuntu 23, and arm-gnu-toolchain-13.2.Rel1-x86_64-arm-none-eabi.
Hi A previous version of a product used STM32G071x8/xB in conjunction with external radio transceiver (SPSGRF-915). The team has used SPIRIT middle ware for radio functions. A newer version has migrated to STM32WLE5/E4xx which has inbuilt radio and I see collateral on ST website usong Sub_GHZ radio middleware Is there a way SPIRIT can be used directly on the new STM32WL MCU ? ThanksPavitra
Hi,I am using aSTM32WB55Wireless Firmware version 1.17.2Wireless Firmware build 1FUS version 1.2.0As described by AN5270 2.5.6. an ACI_GATT_UPDATE_CHAR_VALUE must fire an ACI_GATT_NOTIFICATION_COMPLETE_EVENT if the characteristic was created with GATT_NOTIFY_NOTIFICATION_COMPLETION mask.I am using the BLE_Custom example to which I added a service. I could not find any setting to enable this notification with CubeMX at the STM32_WPAN section.I added the mask manually, but I never got this event! The function aci_gatt_notification_complete_event_process (defined in ble_events.c) was never called as well.I need to send multiple indications and I want to use this event to determine when the next indication can be sent.I receive an ACI_GATT_SERVER_CONFIRMATION_EVENT but in this case the parameter is a connection handle instead of a handle to a characteristic. What do I have to do to receive the ACI_GATT_NOTIFICATION_COMPLETE_EVENT?Best regards,Christian
In my design I left the exposed pad in Stm32wb55rg VFQFN68 package. when I try to flash the device using st link , iam getting error "target not found". I am check the design and found i left the epad (69th pin) floating. Does this cause any issue ?. Please help me out here .thanks @Amel NASRI .
I am attempting to use the https://github.com/stm32-hotspot/stm32wb-matter-device-over-thread/ repo to connect a STM32WB5MMG-DK to an Amazon Alexa acting as a border router, using the Alexa app. The device always fails to connect, outputting the serial log that I have attached. I am using the recommended firmware (stm32wb5x_BLE_Thread_ForMatter_fw.bin)I have also been unable to commission using the CHIP-TOOL and Raspberry Pi 5 border router.
Hi,I have made an application on that needs to enter shutdown/standby mode on the STM32WB10 MCU.I have successfully made it enter the shutdown mode, and I can wake it back up again. However, when it wakes up, it does not get any response from CPU2.It is as if the task "shci_user_evt_proc" is never called in a way that allows it to call "APPE_SysUserEvtRx()" in app_entry.cAs a result I only have Bluetooth when the MCU is started the first time from a power cycle. The current version of my application enters standby/shutdown after 10s of no user interaction. After wakeup, it enters HardFault_Handler() when it attempts to enter shutdown again. This happens when it attempts to send the command for disabeling the advertising (which i suspect is obvious, since the CPU2 is not responsive).Below is a screenshot of the stacktrace and the line that causes the hard fault.I suspect this is caused by my code not doing something the way it should, but I cannot figure out what it should do, or when
Hello! We are a bit stumped here. We have a product that we are testing at 65C and it seems that the bluetooth connection keeps dropping at this temperature (Connection timeouts). We are running from a 32K LSE and 32M HSE crystals. All our parts are confirmed to be good to 80C. There seems to be a host of other various issues that pop up at this temperature. Ive tried setting the LSE drive to HIGH and increasing the flash latency, but it does not seem to impact the behavior. Any ideas?

I use STM32WL RTC Alarm as low power mode timer for achieve ms level accrancy and any duration sleep. System will convert sleep time to Alarm time before enter low power mode. I have tested different sleep time, verified convertion result is correct but system will always wakeup by Alarm advance 1 second than Alarm time. below is my RTC init and Alarm Setting Code:```cvoid MX_RTC_Init(void){ /* USER CODE BEGIN RTC_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END RTC_Init 0 */ RTC_TimeTypeDef sTime = {0}; RTC_DateTypeDef sDate = {0}; RTC_AlarmTypeDef sAlarm = {0}; /* USER CODE BEGIN RTC_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END RTC_Init 1 */ /** Initialize RTC Only */ hrtc.Instance = RTC; hrtc.Init.HourFormat = RTC_HOURFORMAT_24; hrtc.Init.AsynchPrediv = RTC_PREDIV_A; hrtc.Init.SynchPrediv = RTC_PREDIV_S; hrtc.Init.OutPut = RTC_OUTPUT_DISABLE; hrtc.Init.OutPutRemap = RTC_OUTPUT_REMAP_NONE; hrtc.Init.OutPutPolarity = RTC_OU
Hi ST experts.I used the pingpong sample code to test RSSI and SNR. I set SF=12, BW=62.5Khz.I used SX1261 calculator tools to calculate, under this condition, its RSSI can reach -140dBm.But during my actual test, our RSSI reached -120dBm and the SNR was unable to receive data after it reached -20dBm. This is a module we designed ourselves. Is this normal behavior?
Hi everyone !I'm really new to STM32 and everything that goes around... I want to communicate with a SIMCOM A7670E with my NucleoWB55RG and UART1. I'm using PB6 and PB7 for USART1_TX and USART1_RX. But these pins (I kept the jumpers) are also connected to TX_STlink and RX_STlink right? That's why I can print on a tera term terminal what is happening on the UART right? (I followed a tutorial with no explenations that's why I'm not sure). My question is : is it a problem if I connect PB6 and PB7 on RX and TX of my 4G module? Maybe it will cause a conflict? Thanks a lot!
I am trying to test the SUB GHZ interface on STM32WL5xxU7. Is there any starter code without reliance on Nucleo boards that I could use to start with? Or are there steps how to do this with Low level drivers ?
I have done following configuration for RTC:static void MX_RTC_Init(void){/* USER CODE BEGIN RTC_Init 0 *//* USER CODE END RTC_Init 0 *//* USER CODE BEGIN RTC_Init 1 *//* USER CODE END RTC_Init 1 *//** Initialize RTC Only*/hrtc.Instance = RTC;hrtc.Init.HourFormat = RTC_HOURFORMAT_24;hrtc.Init.AsynchPrediv = CFG_RTC_ASYNCH_PRESCALER;hrtc.Init.SynchPrediv = CFG_RTC_SYNCH_PRESCALER;hrtc.Init.OutPut = RTC_OUTPUT_DISABLE;hrtc.Init.OutPutPolarity = RTC_OUTPUT_POLARITY_HIGH;hrtc.Init.OutPutType = RTC_OUTPUT_TYPE_OPENDRAIN;hrtc.Init.OutPutRemap = RTC_OUTPUT_REMAP_NONE;if (HAL_RTC_Init(&hrtc) != HAL_OK){Error_Handler();}/* USER CODE BEGIN RTC_Init 2 *//* USER CODE END RTC_Init 2 */}With prescalers set as:#define CFG_RTC_ASYNCH_PRESCALER (0X7F)#define CFG_RTC_SYNCH_PRESCALER (0XFF) The system is clocked with 32 MHz HSE.I configured timer server to have periodic wakeups every 10 mins:HW_TS_Create(CFG_TIM_PROC_ID_ISR, &Wakeup_mgr_Id, hw_ts_Repeated, Set_Wakeup_Task);HW_TS_Start(Wakeup
