Hello, hope this message finds you well. So, I'm on a project that requires multiple timers to generate 7 variable pulse waveforms in master/slave mode and I'm hoping to get parallel synchronization at startup, I'm using timer 1 as master, and timer 2 as a slave.I have done things as per Reference Manual and ST knowledge base videos and articles, so can't see any extra detail that might cause this issue described below. The device is STM32F103C8T6, and I am using HAL libraries. The issue:Tim2 does not align with Tim1, seems to me their alignment is code dependent, so sometimes they align perfectly, and when you change the code even in non-timer-related sections they get out of alignment.more useful info for you:TIMER 1 (Master) settings:CH1,2,3 are "PWM Generation" and CH4 is either "PWM Generation NO Output" or "Output Compare NO output" have tried both, does not make a difference. No Prescaler is used so Clock is 72Mhz, only using ARR for Frequency adjustments.  RCR => 50. T

Hello I am using STM32F0 Series MCU. I am saving some data every 10 minutes on external Adesto flash. I am able read data from ext flash and display on console using printf command. Now I want to save the data on external file rather than just display only. please suggest a way so I can save data  in .txt file

I am trying to configure some HW IP to work with the M4 core of the STM32MP157, I can find only the GPIO already assigned to other IPs ont he development Kit.How to configure GPIO's and configure interrupts related to SPI DMA from the M4 side?Attached is a screenshot for the available GPIO's on CubeMX.

I am trying to setup stm32h745 Nucleo board. Is the yellow triangle issue of concern or not ?I am using internal oscillator.

Hello everyone,I try to check the LOOPBACK mode on the NUCLEO-L432KC board, but doesn't work. The CAN frame transmitted is correct, but I don't receive anything. I'm checking the TX frame output correctly with an oscilloscope. The code is very simple, but I suppose that has a bug (attached), ...could anyone help me?

I have been trying to install STM32CubeMX (SetupSTM32CubeMX-6.9.1-Win.exe) for a *while* and yes I right-clicked and chose "Run as Administrator". It always fails during step 8/9 with the same message that "'C:\Program' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."  which is something anyone who has written many scripts or installers has overcome a couple times before not making that mistake again (or at least very often). If I choose "No" here, I can then get to the error details window:The full text from this window is :com.izforge.izpack.api.exception.IzPackException: An error occuredin java.lang.Thread.run() at Thread.java:833in com.izforge.izpack.installer.unpacker.UnpackerBase.run() at UnpackerBase.java:241in com.izforge.izpack.installer.unpacker.UnpackerBase.unpack() at UnpackerBase.java:319Caused by: com.izforge.izpack.api.exception.InstallerException: File execution failedin com.izforge.izpack.installer.unpacker.UnpackerBase.u

Hello,I am running on the STM32H725AGI6 on a custom board. I am trying to use the TouchGFX GUI with the LTDC interface (RGB565). I am trying to run a firmware that I had previously working on another of the H7 series (STM32H7B3IIT6). The hardware is identical in all aspects, except for changing to the AGI6 MCU.  I am running the debugger to try to isolate the issue and I observed that the model::tick() function was only called once. Additionally, the TouchGFXHAL::taskEntry() is also only called once. On the IIT6, this problem was not present.  I have tried the following so far:- Increased the heap size (it says I still have plenty of heap available)- Increasing priority of the TouchGFX- Removing the BLE_Task I have to prevent multiple tasks from causing issues None of these solutions have worked yet. Does anyone know what would cause a task to only be called once? Edit:I also enabled vApplicationMallocFailedHook(void) to see if it entered this functio

Hi,someone can explain me how to calculate the "dummy cycles" number reading an external flash qspi such as the Winbond W25Q64JV ?I have to read in qspi mode with the Fast Read Quad I/O (EBh) command in SDR mode. The flash memory datasheet asks for 4 dummy cycles between addressing and data available. In effect, if I set 4 dummy cycles, the first data byte is lost. On the contrary, if I set 6 dummy cycles, the read operation success.I think this depend to the Pre-drive time, but how can I calculate the effective dummy cycles to apply, to be sure that all the reading will be done correctly ?Thank you.

I am using multiple VL53L5CX sensors to measure distances around a robot using the 4x4 resolution, target order closest and ranging in countinuous mode. When I'm measuring a distance close to the sensor ~500mm and then the object is suddenly removed so the distance becomes very far +3500mm, I get strange readings. The distance measured just freezes at the last measured distance, for example ~500mm and I get no weird target status exept for maybe a 10 in a few zones. Is there a way to detect this 'out of bounds' so I know to ignore the last reading and just set my measured distance to a certain out of bounds value?

I am using the STM32G474 and have the following situation:I have configured a Timer to run continuously at 25 kHzThe Timer triggers the ADC to start a sequence of 6 conversions (i.e. 6 ADC channels)Upon completion of each ADC conversion, DMA transfers the sample to memory (repeat for the entire sequence of conversions)Repeat steps 2-3 until the buffer is full (ADC DMA half-conversion/full event & double buffering is used)This buffer now contains interleaved samples from the ADCSome magic de-interleaving needs to happenA de-interleaved buffer of ADC samples (i.e. for a single ADC channel) is passed to the FMAC (filtering) peripheral using DMAThe output of the FMAC peripheral is transferred to memory via DMARepeat steps 7-8 until the sample buffers of all 6 ADC channels have been filtered via FMACIdeally I want to keep the CPU asleep for this whole process; the CPU should only wake up at ~100 Hz to process the filtered data (i.e. FMAC output stored in memory) and perform other functi

With SYSCLK set to 400MHz in MX Clock Configuration there is no problem, but any setting above ~420 up to the maximum of 480Mhz causes the system to 'crash' during initialisation in HAL_RCC_ClockConfig(..). More specifically when or after RCC->CFGR is updated with the clock source. Cortex_M7 is not currently configured. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Hello, I am currently using the STM32F407IE (Board A) and want to use another STM32 (Board B) with it, but I want to be able to program board A via board B using a SPI interface as I can use this as a general comms interface as well. I know you can program through the SPI interface from AN4286 but it doesn't specify if any specific port needs to be used. my question is can I use any SPI port on the STM32F407IE to program through the bootloader? or does it have to be  a specific SPI port? assuming I have access to the BOOT0 pin and the NRST pin from board B. Thank you in advance.

Hello,I am currently working with the ST25RU3993 SDK in C language to develop a program that retrieves RSSI linear in I and Q mode. However, I've encountered an issue where the RSSI linear values remain constant every time I run the code. I could use some assistance in resolving this problem. Would you be able to provide some guidance? Thank you.This is my code:STUHFL_T_Gen2_QueryMeasureRssi queryMeasureRssi[1] = { STUHFL_O_GEN2_QUERY_MEASURE_RSSI_INIT() };setupGen2Config(false, true, STUHFL_D_ANTENNA_1);Gen2_Inventory(&invOption, &invData);demo_gen2Select(invData.tagList[0].epc.data, invData.tagList[0].epc.length);Gen2_QueryMeasureRssi(&queryMeasureRssi);int RSSIlinI = queryMeasureRssi->rssiLinI[0];int freq = queryMeasureRssi->frequency;int RSSIlinQ = queryMeasureRssi->rssiLinQ[0];printf("freq= %d", freq);printf("RSSI_I= %d", RSSIlinI);printf("- RSSI_Q= %d\n", RSSIlinQ);

The SPI2_MISO pin (PI2) at the arduino connector of the STM32H745XI board was accidentally connected to the MOSI of another SPI device giving around 5V and now the board red LED (LD3) keeps being on...According to the user manual, this means STLK Over Current. In the FAIL.TXT file: The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCUIs there a way to fix that? I am afraid that the Core is permanently damaged??

Hi,I am on a steep learning curve here. There are huge gaps in my understanding of the field, so any help will be most appreciated. Basically I am trying to connect to AIS2ih accelerometer (on Steval-mki218v1) with my Nucleo board, and try to communicate with it. So far I do fail miserably, and have no idea what am I missing. Basically I am getting the i2c slave address of the AIS2ih, and some register addresses (CTRL1, and CTRL6), than I try to write to them to start the accelerometer, after that I am trying to read Who_am_I register just to get some feedback that the concept is working, but it is not. Here is my code (not really mine, but an adaptation really), and photo of my wiring. Thanks! #include <stdio.h> #include "stm32f4xx_hal.h" #include "uart.h" #include "adc.h" #define DEVICE_ADDR_I2C 0011000 #define CTR1_Reg 0x20 #define CTR6_Reg 0x25 #define Who_Am_I_Reg 0x0F I2C_HandleTypeDef ais2ih_i2c1; void i2c1_init(void); void adxl_write (uint8_t reg, uin

HiI have a project running for the last 2 years: STM32H7, CubeMX for setup.I have 6 ADC channels on ADC3, running in "Regular, non-continous conversion". This works. But now I want to run the application from the external QSPI FLASH. This works almost OK, but the ADC sampling fails: It only samples the first channel in the sequence of 6 channels. The next is never started.I have made no changes to the GPIO setup, except some unused pins, which are configured as analog inputs pr. default in the HAL init. This does not work with the QSPI FLASH interface, because it somehow changes the memory mapping setup in the (bbot)loader. So I just remove the init of the unused pins like this in gpio.c:/*Configure GPIO pins : PA0 PA3 PA4 PA5PA6 PA8 */GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_0|GPIO_PIN_3|GPIO_PIN_4|GPIO_PIN_5|GPIO_PIN_6|GPIO_PIN_8;GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_ANALOG;GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL;// HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOA, &GPIO_InitStruct);/*Configure GPIO pins : PB0 PB1 PB2 PB10PB11 P

Hello, I am using STM32H7 with a circular display (driver HX8363-A). One of the problems that I seems to have is that although on the TouchGFX software the content looks nice, the moment I display that same content on the physical display, it looks horrible. Every component that I tried displaying has very sharp edges and thus I suspect it has something to do with anti-aliasing not being turned on (see the picture). Is there a way to enable anti-aliasing or do you think this is something else?I know that the display that I am using CAN look normal, since I confirmed this by using the display manufacturers devkit, which however runs on Android OS.

Hello,Please help me with the solution.I have a product with STM32H723ZGT MCU as a core. For device production I need to set Read Out Protection (RDP) Level 2 option bytes which would protect the devices debug port. To program the RDP byte, I use STM32 HAL's flash API. Unfortunately, after the function HAL_FLASH_OB_Launch() device enters a special state and the only way to reset the application is power reset (POR). The problem with that is my product has an on board battery which has been soldered during the manufacturing process before programming. I have found a possible solution, which is described in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7vs0NwZPFoI have even tested this solution with STM32L4 series MCU and it worked fine. Unfortunately, the same approach with the STM32H7 series did not work. Any suggestions?

Hello everyone, I work in a team where we manufacture an electric car. We currently use Arduino Mega as our ECU, but we want to shift to STM. We already have a STM32-L152RE Nucleo board. I am not able to run any sort of program on the board. The code gets uploaded but never runs. What might be the potential issues, is there any specific method to upload the code to this particular Nucleo board.

Hey!I initialized the TIM1 peripheral to output an complementary PWN signal on channel 2 (PB14) and tested it with an oscilloscope. Signal is present, everything's fine. Then after initialization of the SPI2 peripheral (PB13 & PB15) PWM signal is no longer visible on pin. I use CubeMX for code generation and specific line where PWM output "dies" is this: void HAL_SPI_MspInit(SPI_HandleTypeDef* spiHandle) { ... __HAL_RCC_SPI2_CLK_ENABLE(); // <- here ... } I can toggle SPI2EN bit inside APB1ENR register in Debug mode and see the same outcome:Now I'm lost what to do next. PCB is already made and I need both TIM1 and SPI2. Workaround in my case would be hand-written SPI which I try to avoid of course.Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hello,I'm measuring Channel AN11 (Pin PB10) and the internal Temperature of the CPU of my STM32G071RB Nucleoboard via DMA. DMA is necessary, because later on the project will scale a lot. I really hope, someone has a good solution for this. When changing the voltage on AN11, the internal Temperature Value also changes. HelloIn the new version of Yocto release mickedore, SIGN_TOOL variable needs to be specified to sign TF-A binary which should corresponds to STM32CubeProgrammer signing tool https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Signing_toolPractically, how can we set the the variable to the STM32CubeProgrammer signing tool? Is there a Yocto recipe native that include this tool?https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/meta-st-stm32mp/blob/mickledore/recipes-bsp/trusted-firmware-a/tf-a-stm32mp.inc#L296Thanks
