Hi everyone,A simple question, I'm using TouchGFX 4.22 with the example "Flex Button Example" for F746G and F7508.When the program is set to F746 is not possible look all functions of the UART module... See "DinaF746.png"But if the program is set to F7508 I look and acess all functions of the UART module... See "DinaF7508.png"What I do need set in TouchGFX or CubeIDE to solve this problem?Thank you for help.IGomes

I am looking for the autodevkit community- is it here under Automotive? Or did it move somewhere else?

I loved the approach that STM32 had a IDE for MacOS. It looks like there is none for SPC5. Is that correct? I would love to start developing with SPC5 and my newly bought evaluation board, but the download page only features a .exe file..

The avbove board comes with a blink example preloaded. I am looking for said example, any suggestions? The preinstalled suggestions seem to target more advanced programs

Hi - I have a new board with very minimal parts other than a STM32L451VET6 micro and a SPI LCD.I have implemented SPI and the micro is sending data when I single step the program. When I just let it run it Sends exactly three and one half bytes... every time. I am using the following code :HAL_GPIO_WritePin(DISP_CS_GPIO_Port, DISP_CS_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET); // set CS lowHAL_SPI_Transmit(&hspi1, (uint8_t *)&spi_init_cmds_new, 18, 100); // write init data to displayHAL_GPIO_WritePin(DISP_CS_GPIO_Port, DISP_CS_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET); // set CS high it seems like some sort of timing issue because it will single step and send two bytes at a time with CS toggling between them as it should. It setup for Master transmit only since my display doesn't have a read function.I set the internal clock (MSI RC ) to 8000 with a SPI prescaler of 128  for a baud of 62.5kbits. Here is the SPI config : for testing I added a HAL_Delay(500); line right after the SPI write and when singl

Hi,I have background knowledge of programming and MCUs but I am fairly new to the STM32 ecosystem. I am trying to measure the RPM of a motor using an optical encoder that gives pulses on the output. I have done this on Arduino using the interrupts and I know that the encoder works well. My application requires me to do it with STM32F030C8T6. I have taken the approach of using two timers for this purpose. I am using TIM3 of this MCU in Encoder mode and TIM14 to generate an interrupt after every 100ms to read the CNT register of TIM3 and then reset it to 0 so that next time I can get the number of pulses. I am sending the number of pulses through a serial to a laptop. Everything is fine until I set the CNT register to zero. The counter increments correctly in increasing order, an interrupt is generated after every 100 ms, and data is sent to serial. but I need to set the CNT to zero to get the number of pulses in 100ms not the incremented value every time. When I set the CNT to 0 as show

Hello everybodyI'm using ST Motor Control 5.4.1 to drive a BLDC motor. It works fine, and I'm able to drive in SPEED MODE my motor, changing speed and with the system that can react to load changes.I would like to realize a software limit, so I can limit current to a certain max value during RUN, and after some time remove the limit and return to normal operation.I've tried to change SpeednTorqCtrl_Handle_t parameterms but it doesn't work.I've tried to change current Iq reference via API but the same as before: the behaviour is not as I would like to obtain.I think it can be simple to do but I'm not able to set maximum current for short period of time.Does anybody know how to set this values?ThanksRoberto

I am using STM32H723ZG nucleo board. When I enable HAL_ADC_Start_DMA(&hadc1, (uint32_t*)adc_buf, ADC_BUF_LEN); USB Virtual port doesn't show up and when I disable it, it shows up. Can anyone explain what could be the issue?I was able to print "Hello" character using CDC_Transmit_HS function when DMA(in circular mode) wasn't enabled. When I enabled it, Virtual port doesn't show up. Please help me with this. Above is the clock setting.

Im using the subjective model where can i get the project examples

we are working on a new devlopment project.we need reference design with "GPS + GSM + WiFi + RFID + Bluetooth + CCTV" all these requirement.please suggest the reference design full-fill above requirement.

Hi Team,I am working on SPC58NE84.Does SPC58NE84 supports CAN overload error? Best regards,Abhishek

Hello,I know this is a bit of an edge case but during some testing today I noticed that the low level CAN drivers that come packaged with SPC5 studio only use the DLC field to work out how many bytes are in a recieved CAN the message. This isn't strictly correct as ISO 11898-1:2003 permits a standard CAN frame to have a DLC of > 8 which should be interpreted as a message containing the maximum 8 bytes. Unfortunately this ended up causing a hard-fault for me as the driver was trying to work on 64 bytes when only 8 had arrived. I have patched this locally by also checking the EDL bit when working out the frame size and thought this is something you may want to include in future. Many thanks,Owen

I'm trying to install a license and change my computer. Please tell me how to reset license.Indicates that it is being used by another PC.

Dear valued customer,Your registration has been received. However these activation key------------------ and serial number ------------------ have already been used on another node by another users in another company.Since SPC5UDESTK are single-user node-locked licenses you will need a new activation key and serial number of the SPC5 USBJTAG adaptor. Please ask your distributor of the activation key to solve this issue. How to initialize a license? You can buy full licenses of SPC5/UDESTK directly from STM

I use 16KHz PWM to run motor, once the motor over 24000RPM, the motor current will become very high and unstable. it is seems over than FOC execute rate cause this problem.I'm not sure I think is right or not ?   is there any suggestion please tell me.when I use G431B MCU with 30KHz PWM to run same motor, it looks run very well with no problem (can over 40000RPM) P.S 1. motor parameters: Vm: 12v / Rs: 0.3 ohm / Ls: 20uH

HiSTM32 mcu finder for iPhone is fine. But, STM32 mcu finder for iPad is stuck with a component database dated Jul 14, 2021 20h18.It's a way to have an updated database ?Thanks in advance

Hi everyone,is it somehow possible to "flip" the screen for a 180 degree rotation?Either on TouchGFX, LTDC or DMA2D level? We are using CubeMX to generate the whole project and everything works smoothly, but we need to rotate the screen.Cheers,Patrick

Lets say i call HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA() and then I get an error or I decide to timeout while waiting for SPI data. What is the correct way to recover from an SPI error or a timeout?I use this code and it seems to work: // De-init SPI2 HAL_SPI_DeInit(&hspi2); // Reset SPI2 __HAL_RCC_SPI2_FORCE_RESET(); __NOP(); __NOP(); __HAL_RCC_SPI2_RELEASE_RESET(); __NOP(); __NOP(); // Reset DMA1 __HAL_RCC_DMA1_FORCE_RESET(); __NOP(); __NOP(); __HAL_RCC_DMA1_RELEASE_RESET(); __NOP(); __NOP(); // Re-init DMA and SPI MX_DMA_Init(); MX_SPI2_Init();

A particular STM32MP1 based board uses the USB OTG interface configured to the cortex A7. Is there any guidance how to configure the kernel so that it will use the USB device port with a gadget driver, so that the host sees it as keyboard, serial port, mouse, audio interface ? For example, as pictured, a snippet of usb otg in the .dts ( high speed). It uses dwc2 as driver for OTG function, How to assign the device descriptor to the otg/usb interface ? Full speed would be fine as well. In the kernel sources there is "legacy" and "function" code.

I have an array of times, currently TIM3 and TIM4 on a STM32F373.  I may want to add more timers in the future, so I enable them in a loop.  Is there a way to ensure they all start at the exact same time or will the loop iteration be so fast that they will look synced on a scope?  I'm also thinking an interrupt may occur while the loop is in the process of enabling timers, causing them to start out of sync.  Is the only way to use the external interrupt with a master timer and have all other timers as slave?  ( can I trigger it in software only, eg. setting a master timer to expire after 0 ticks?

Using CubeIDE v1.13.0, installed this week.On STM32F0Discovery (STM32F051): /* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */ while (1) { HAL_UART_Transmit( &huart1, "Hello, UART1 world!\r\n", 21, 10000 ); HAL_GPIO_TogglePin( LD3_GPIO_Port, LD3_Pin ); HAL_Delay( 500 ); HAL_UART_Transmit( &huart2, "Hello, UART2 world!\r\n", 21, 10000 ); HAL_GPIO_TogglePin( LD4_GPIO_Port, LD4_Pin ); HAL_Delay( 500 ); /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ } /* USER CODE END 3 */The first HAL_UART_Transmit is to UART1, configured as full-duplex.This works fine - the full string is transmitted each time:The second HAL_UART_Transmit is to UART2, configured as Single Wire Half Duplex.This does not quite work - only the 1st two characters are ever transmitted:If I single-step the transmit loop in the HAL_UART_Transmit for UART2, it does transmit the entire string.So what's going on here? Is there some gotcha! with Single Wire Half Duplex?(Screenshots are from YAT; same results

For calculating apriori PID parameters when running ST FOC SDK, you obviously need to consider the sampling time of the regulator for the integral term. According to UM1052, current sensing is synchronous to the PWM. Is the sampling period of the current sensing ADC the same as the sampling period of the current PI controllers ?Again, referencing UM1052, page 38/178, formula for Ki; is T equal to 1 / pwm_freq ?@cedric H

Hi :)Working on the EVA32MP257F, I am trying to generate the openstlinux for it, however, I see no target MACHINE in the yocto project for it. I guess that a private repo is required for this? Also, can I apply the RT patch provided for the MP1 on top of it?Adrian
