Hi,when I write 8byte block sequentially 256 times in 2kB page and then erase and start over what is the total number of writes I can do?Datasheet describes 10000 write/erase cycles, but I do not erase after every write. If the damage is cause by erase should the flash last longer with 1 erase per 256 writes?can I write 256 times before erase is necessary or it would somehow degrade other cells sooner?if there is a formula for write/erase damage ratio what is it?I use stm32g071 but I expect this to be common use case.

Hi gm, I am creating a project in STM32CubeIDE with touchGFX, right now the project builds, but when i pass it to the board the screen shows white, and when debugging I noticed that when it gets to the line tick() in                              HAL.hpp->backPorchExited which is called from TouchGFXHAL.cpp the code stops,  And I really don't understand this, the function itself is empty in HAL.hpp and it's called from inside the HAL class so i don't get how is this making my code stop. I don't really know what kind of screenshots I can provide here, let me know if you want me to pass the project files or something.

Hi everyone, Recently started working on STM32C011J4M3. I'm trying to set PF2-NRST pin as a GPIO and I want Pin 4  to multiplexed  to PA0 USART TX pin. At first i tried  multiplexed the Pin 4 to PA0  using the following API                        " LL_SYSCFG_ConfigPinMux(LL_PINMUX_SO8_PIN4_PA0);"  but this didn't work  and to mention that this API function worked  on Pin 1 and Pin 5. I came across this post  to  set PF2-NRST pin as a GPIO  and change the Pin 4 to PA0 thinking that  multiplex is only done with GPIO Ports. I tried above code to set the NOT_RESET_INPUT_ONLY bit and clear the NOT_GPIO_MODE_ONLY bit of the FLASH option bytes  this works in Registers but to my surprise  the Pin 4 still works as PF2-NRST pin  and not as GPIO. Debugging works as always and when i remove the Pin4 connection  from debugger  I receive  console

Hello,I'm working on a UI with touchGFX, and I was wondering which is the better practice in order to maximize performances and memory managment: is it better to create a new screen for each page of the UI, or to keep screens at minimum and to play with invisible/visible widgets?I'm creating a menu to setup a weekly schedule. I use a single screen for the entire setup flow, and for each step of the setup I turn visible only the widgets I need. When the user completes that step and pass to the next one, all those widgets become invisible and new ones become visible.I'm proceeding like this because the choices made in the previous steps influence the aspect of the following steps, and being in the same screen its easier to access those info. But since the widget counter is going through the roof, I'm wondering is this approach will give me performance issue in the future!Do you have any advice/consideration?

I think there is a bug with code generation when USB_OTG_HS_Dx is selected for PA11 and PA12 pins and USB_OTG_HS peripheral is not active:then there is this code generated in MX_GPIO_Init() function: /*Configure GPIO pins : PA11 PA12 */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_11|GPIO_PIN_12; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = GPIO_MODE_AF_PP; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = GPIO_NOPULL; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_LOW; HAL_GPIO_Init(GPIOA, &GPIO_InitStruct);  .Mode is set to alternate function but there is missing setting of GPIO_InitTypeDef.Alternate field. In this case, USB is not Alternate function but Additonal function, which means that no configuration is needed here and the USB peripheral manages it itself when it is configured. Indeed, when USB_OTG_HS peripheral is initialized from the GUI, this code disappears. I think this is a bug because in our case, code like this was generated: /*Configure GPIO pins : PB14 PB15 */ GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = GPIO_PIN_14|GPIO_PIN

I've connected an STM32F103RBT6 Nucleo-64 to my computer and it worked fine for sometime, and then suddenly it lost connection. What is weird is that with the same cable, another identical board can connect without any issues. Does anyone have solution to this problem? (and it won't connect on other computers either).

Hi,I am looking for bidirectional mailbox example for the st25dv chip. I have an ANT7 nfc connected to a nucleo with the NFC7 mailbox example and the NFC Tag iOS App. I can read the mailbox stuff send from the Tag to the iOS App. But the other way around is not clear. Neither the GPO pin is toggled accordingly. Do you have an example / demo code available for this. kind regards, C.W.

Stm32CubeIDE 1.14.0, STM32CubeMX 6.10.0, STM32CubeFW_U5 V1.4.0, X-CUBE-FREERTOS.1.1.0   This started with the Stm32CubeIDE 1.14.0 release and worked fine in 1.13.x.  It happens for new projects and migrated projects.  I'm using it with an STM32U5. Go into the Task and Queues tab in FreeRTOS and add a Queue. Change the Item Size to uint32_t.  This needs to be different.  Click OK.  The item size is uint16_t (the default).  Edit it and it's uint16_t.  You can't change it in the UI.   I need to manually create a Queue to be able to set the item size.

I enabled the SPI CRC calculation (with a length SPI_CRC_LENGTH_16BIT) in my STM32H563ZI  master application. During Tx, I want the 2 bytes of the calculated CRC to be swapped and transmitted i.e. a CRC of 0xABCD must be sent out as 0xCD 0xAB and not as 0xAB 0xCD.Can someone let me know how to do this? Thanks.

Good morning everyone, I created a project for a client and it is now in an advanced state. All the time the project was developed with a horizontal display (we are talking about two years of work), at a certain point a larger display was used, original 800x480, new 1024x600.The use was in portrait mode.I started to have content flickering.I worked hard for days, thinking I might have a problem with buffer declarations, memory management, or other things related to hardware or settings. Today I made the macabre discovery.I positioned the landscape position of only the display on the touchgfx gui and everything magically works perfectly, naturally you can only see half of the objects as many of them are defined out of field, but no flickering of text or images. The flickering occurs between one writing and another to change the data. For a moment, new fonts appear dotted with errors or buttons or whatever redraws between one buffer and another, and all of this depends only on the orientat

Hardware: EVSPIN32G4-DUALConfiguration: 1-shunt FOC, Observer + PLL Bug location: register_interface.cRegisters in Question:FLUXWK_BUS_MEASMC_REG_PULSE_VALUE, MC_REG_BEMF_ZCRMC_REG_BEMF_UMC_REG_BEMF_VMC_REG_BEMF_WDescription:When these registers are written to, board responds indicating they are read-only.  When I read from these registers, board responds indicating they do not exist.  Under register_interface.c, I see that the registers are listed under SetRegisterMotorX to give read-only, and are not listed under GetRegisterMotorX, which produces this behavior.

-Hi, wanted to know, how to go about having a parallel bus shared by microcontroller and fpga. -fpga and microcontroller both r/w from external sram over the same bus.1. What should be the configs for microcontroller : fsmc in memory to memory with DMA2 burst?2. Will fpga and microcontroller both be masters in the bus. how can writing only 1 device is handled?please check

I want do design a board with stm32h7b0zbt6, I found there is a Evaluation board with STM32H7B3LI MCU, but I couldn't find the schematic file, I just find the user manual file with RM2662, I wonder is the schematic file is opensource ?

we are observing weird error during initilization...enclosed the log dump (board2_init_fail_log.txt and ll13_01_board2_success_logs.txt)on Raspberry pi with 2 NFC03A1 boards (SPI3.0 works well, SPI0.0 fails)2 independent binaries are being used with the respective SPI and control gpios. The same board some time works(log enclosed - ll13_01_board2_success_logs.txt) but most of the time we observe Error 36 (ERR_HW_MISMATCH)Observations1. st25r95CheckChipID() fails2. ran this in a loop for 5 times and observed from 2 or 3 iteration, the chip responds with some data3. st25r95Initialize() returns ERR_NONE (st25r95CommandEcho() is ok 0x55 being received)4. st25r95SPIPollRead() returns 0 (indicating IRQ_OUT is going low.)Pls advise

I need to measure a distance within a 1 degree field of view (FOV) in front of the sensor at a distance well within the range of the sensor. I know I can't use focusing optics on the emitter side without changing the laser class - so I won't. Using a simple aperture to narrow the FOV at the detector side, I would reduce the amount of light returned by roughly a factor of 18. A lens would be more effective, but ST does not provide information about the integrated lens and the effective focal point.  Also, I cannot find the calculator AN5894 refers to "Cover glass integration guides and aperture calculator tools are also available on st.com."

Hello,Have module bluetooths (BLE and class 1 ) please ?Thanks

Hello,I am working on a project where we have a main board and a header board connected via SPI. We have the ability to update the firmware of the main board over the air but not for the header board. We now have a need to update the firmware of the header board and we are looking at the main board downloading the header board's new firmware over the air and updating the header board's via spi and its built in boot loader. This would mean setting the Header Board's Boot0 pin to high. Unfortunately for us, this was hard wired to ground via a pull down resistor. These boards have been on the field for a few years now and recalling them for a firmware update and/or a hardware re-work would be costly. Is there a way for us to set the Boot0 pin to high via software?Thank you very much for your help.

I think, using SAI for SPDIF Tx, can go wrong (in terms of clock config, the MCLKDIV setting):The CubeMX tool, used to configure SAI as SPDIF Tx, generates completely wrong PLL setting and codethe HAL driver, doing the config, in file "stm32xxx_hal_sai.c" can set a wrong MCLKDIV divider:resulting in half of the needed frequency for SPDIF, even you trim manually the C-code - it can go wrongDebugging SAI SPDIF Tx config on a STM32U5A5 MCU - I saw this: it seems to me, this bug (in HAL drivers) is there for years: in my old projects, years ago to get it working: I had to set SPDIF audio sampling rate to 96KHz - even it is 48KHz (but now obvious why after debugging the HAL code on this MCU).In order to get the right frequencies on SPDIF Tx, on a STM32U5A5, I have to set this PLL config:  /* 48 KHz SPDIF with scope/debug CubeMX cfg correct */ PeriphClkInit.PLL3.PLL3N = 36; //36; 36; PeriphClkInit.PLL3.PLL3P = 24; //96; 24; PeriphClkInit.PLL3.PLL3Q = 2; PeriphClkInit.P

Hi,I would like to trace the variable through SWV data trace, trace log and also I want to get the data to plot via SWV Data Trace Timeline Graph. Eventhough when I make the required setup as below, I cant get the expected trace data, could you pls help me resolve ? Enable serial wire viewer through debugger   Add the data into data trace 3. When I resume debugging I get the following values in SWV Data Trace, SWV Trace Log and SWV Data Trace Timeline Graph respectively    I would expect to see i incrementing from 1 to max value of uint16_t that is 65535. /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2024 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the

I have a STM32F7508-DK board and I'm using the last version of the STM32CubeIDE and TouchGFX.I create a project in TouchGFX (or open one of the examples that are there) -> generate code -> open project in STM32CubeIDE -> compile -> run -> works fine. Now in STM32CubeIDE I want to generate separate c and h files for each of the periphery. I open Device Configuration Tool -> Project Manager tab -> Code Generator -> and select Generate peripheral initialization as a pair of '.c /' h ' files per peripheral -> generate code again -> compile -> run -> doesn't work, black screen on the board. I don't change anything in the code, I only select the option to generate separate files.Could someone please help me where can be problem?

Hi,i saw that the VL6180X is set to NRND.I need the functions of gesture detection and ambiation light measurement.I want to use it in a new product which should be produced more than 10 years but in this case i dont think that this is the right one.Does ST recommends a replacement type? Thanks for helping.Jo

Dear Experts,I am using a USB3300 chip as an external HS 480Mbit/s USB PHY  with STM32F446 MCU. Using CubeMX to generate code and add USB CDC Middleware.
