Hi, We have a board featuring 5 VL6180X sensors and I noticed some oddities regarding the initial offset and scale in the latest production run:Some sensors are unable to measure any distance below 15mmThe ranging linearity between different sensors is +/- 10mm (taken as the delta between a 20mm and a 68mm measurement to a matte aluminium plate).Initial offset is varying +/- 10mm The initial offset appears to be roughly in spec with the datasheet (Table 18. Ranging specification), although we have quite a few sensors at the maximum offset (and in the datasheet this is after 3 reflow cycles, we only have 1).The linearity is far worse than what I see in "Figure 6. Typical ranging performance".The largest issue for us is the inability to measure below 15mm. Some sensors simply register 0mm (4 boards out of a batch of 30 had this issue).I was wondering if this is the expected behavior of the sensors, or if we're doing something wrong in our design/production?Regards,SytseFYI, our

The FDCAN (in my case fdcan2) for a custom board based on STM32G474RCT that I am working on does not seem to work as expected. The transmission of messages is working OK. I can receive the test message from the board over to the host PC CAN sniffer at 250K baud. I have tried to use the example project for the Classic CAN Networking using FDCAN.So though transmission is working, reception requires an interrupt which never comes. I have traces from the oscilloscope that confirm the GPIO pin responsible for FDCAN2 Rx is receiving signal from the on board CAN Transceiver, but the controller does not respond reception with the interrupt call.I have attached the bare minimum example as a STM32CubeIDE project to help find a solution in my situation. Thanks for having a look.Cheers

I am encountering an issue when deploying a classification model generated with NanoEdge AI Studio 4.6.0 to my STM32H7 development board. Below are the details:Issue: When calling neai_classification_init(knowledge), the function returns NEAI_COMPILER_ERROR. Debugging further, I found the following comment in the generated NanoEdgeAI.h file:  enum neai_state { NEAI_OK = 0, NEAI_INIT_FCT_NOT_CALLED = 123, NEAI_BOARD_ERROR, NEAI_KNOWLEDGE_BUFFER_ERROR, NEAI_NOT_ENOUGH_CALL_TO_LEARNING, //This is a fail-safe to prevent users from learning one or even no signals. Hi, Can anyone confirm is the top side marking for the above is 24MO1WT.RegardsPeter

When I select the library in the [Validation] tab of NANOEDGE AI STUDIO and run [Serial emulator], I get the error message "No data are being received. Please ensure the correct COM port is selected."However, I am able to obtain data if I select the same COM port using TeraTerm (terminal emulator).Incidentally, the same error occurs whether the baud rate is 9600 or 115200.The board I am using is B-L475E-IOT01A2.Does anyone have any information on the cause of this?

Hello,We need to integrate CiA417 CANOpen protocol for one of the application. Please suggest suitable STM32 micro-controllers and related documentation.Thank you

Hello, Currently I implement a I3C function of mass readback data from the target device. I use the HAL_I3C_Ctrl_MultipleTransfer_IT, the mass write data into target  device that is worked. But readback data operation is not worked well. If it readback data under 16 bytes, it is worked. Therefore, readback data above 16 bytes, that data is limited in 16 bytes. For example, the first operation that it is setup to readback 32 bytes data, but the waveform shows the readback data is 16 bytes.   And repeat again the same read data operation, it is stucked.  If any specific setting is needed to modify to unlock the  read data 16 bytes limitation? on the controller side, function as below: void HXREG_READ(uint8_t cas_ID, uint32_t datalenght) { uint32_t ctrlread_buffer[0xF];   I2C_TxBuffer[0]=cas_ID;   // Configure private messages aPrivateDescriptor[0].TargetAddr = TARGET1_DYN_ADDR; aPrivateDescriptor[0].TxBuf.pBuffer = I2C_TxBuffer; aPrivateDescripto

Hello,I am trying to perform a bitbake build using micledore openstlinux weston on my STM32MP1 platform. Here is my development environment:Software: STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.3.0Hardware: NUCLEO-WL55JC1When I run 1_Image_BFU based on the original project, it works fine and can be upgraded in different versions. But when I ported my own project to use, the upgrade was abnormal and didn't start. So I want to enable SFU_DEBUG_MODE to see what exception is happening in 1_Image_BFU. So, I enabled SFU_DEBUG_MODE in app_sfu.h Then I compiled the project there is a reminder of memory overflow.then i add SBSFU Code region and other regions in mapping_sbsfu.h,like this:and mapping_fwimg.h  Then recompiled 1_Image_SECoreBin, 1_Image_BFU, and 1_Image_UserApp, it  was successful without any errors.  I use tool to 'full chip erase' and programming BFU_UserApp.bin at 0x08000000.Then connect to the UART tool to view logs. when i load the UserApp.sfb file and update it.The fw seems invalid.I use tools to read memory: The locat

Hi,I'm using an STM32H7A3ZI MCU, with freeRTOS, fatFS & DMAI have set the SDMMC2 peripheral with 4 bit mode & DMA (by default in STM32H7 MX config). I have implemented the code from this example to test my SD card (microSDHC 32Gb, also test on 2Gb SD).I set the example code inside a RTOS task (1024 stack size) (CubeMX detects that I use RTOS so the sd_diskio file is set for rtos with queues and so, however I didn't implement queues in the example code)My problemen is that at the HAL_SD_InitCard part, I have and HardFault_Handler error at this line : >>> HAL_Delay(1U + (74U * 1000U / (sdmmc_clk)));(in stm32h7xx_hal_sd.c) On the hardware part I have 47k pullup on data & CMD pins, the voltage supply is OK. I try also without the 47k pullup & with internal pull up. I have set the SD clock to 12.5Mhz.Any idea on what could cause this problem ?You can find my full code here:https://github.com/pa0694/IOC_SDMMCThanks!

I am new to NFC. Currently, I have an ST25dv16k NFC. I wrote the EEPROM using the example Arduino code provided in GitHub. I am trying to enable the energy harvesting feature. How will I assign EN_MODE register to 0. Please help.

1. I have encountered a problem when trying to use B-U585I-IOT02A board with the default external loader available in stm32cubeprogrammer (M25LM51245G_STM32U585I-IOT02A). There is an error when trying to read, or write external flash memory, but erase seems to work fine. I am attaching the error screenshot. From my program (FW - not external loader) external flash works well. What could I have done wrong? It seems very simple, however, it doesn't work as per the instructions and tutorials.2. Is there any good instruction on how to build an EWARM example project into a .stldr file without an IAR?

Hello,  How many mechanical shock support the LSM303AH please ? and if uou have others reference of inclinometers thanks to give me informations. Thank you

Dear, Could you tell me if FS signal have internally pull up or pull down?   Regards

Hi, I appreciate that ST7 technology is totally obsolete, but as a hobby, I repair electrical appliances. One such item uses ST7, or more specifically, ST72F262 chips.  But the power supply circuit isn't well designed and fails, outputting well over 5v on the trail, frying the ST7 on the way.I'd like to resurrect some failed boards by installing a new micro, plugging into the 10 pin connector and flashing a clone of the programme flash from a good board. I have some experience with STM32 devices, but nothing with ST7.  The target board features a 10-way connector wired exactly as per the diagram in the data sheet.I don't need to write or develop new software, I just wish to read the programme memory out of a good board and flash it into a new micro that has been installed onto the board.  I've done this before with PICs, so the principle isn't too hard.  The PIC wasn't read-barred, so hopefully the ST72 won't be either. Can anyone steer me towards a solution?  I

I am using the STM32H7B3I-DK and followed How to create a file system on a SD card using STM32CubeIDE. I noticed that DMA options are not available on the SDMMC1 configuration tab, so I just skipped that step. The rest of the steps I followed. In FATFS Platform settings I set Detect_SDIO  GPIO:Input PI8.I do not have a microSD card inserted but the f_mount() is still successful: void SDInit(void) { // Mount the file system on the SD card (assumes SDPath is defined) if (f_mount(&SDFatFS, (TCHAR const*)SDPath, 0) != FR_OK) { printf("Failed to mount\r\n"); } else{ printf("Mount Good\r\n"); } } I have checked PI8 state and it is set which is correct for no device inserted, so I am unsure why f_mount() passes

I'm using V.2.16.0 to set the option bytes for the STM32G031, but NRST_MODE and IRHEN are not showing in the OB section. There is a report for the same issue for the STM32G030 with the accepted solution being that the G030 does not officially support these options. However, that is not the case for the G031 as the options are documented in §3.7.8 of the reference manual.

Hi I am developing a NFC reader design based on ST25R3916B chip. PCB design is in progress. Due to mechanical constraints, NFC antenna would not be in this PCB. So can you pls suggest suitable antenna part number with size more than 50mmX50mm and cable connector assembly part number to connect this antenna to reader PCB. I would like to use around 200mm cable length for connecting antenna to reader.

Hello everyone, I am currently working on the design of a board that incorporates the ST25R3920B NFC reader IC, aiming to achieve reliable tag detection at a maximum distance of 1 cm. Despite researching and reviewing multiple resources, I am still encountering challenges in the design process. The specifications for my available antenna area are as follows: Antenna Size: 81 mm x 47 mm (rectangular PCB trace) Standard: ISO14443 If anyone has experience or insights on optimizing NFC antenna design for such a setup, I would greatly appreciate your guidance. Thank you in advance for your support. Best regards,Samuel

Hi I am developing a board with two MCU on it (stm32h755), and I am going to programme these two controllers from the same connector using only two lines (SWDIO SWCLK), I have connected same CLOCK line to both MCUs directly, and the SWDIO to a switch to select which MCU to programme, is this connection fine??Also this MCU has the CANFD, but I want to use normal CAN, is it fine to connect it to a normal CAN transceiver not CANFD one??.thanks

Hi!I've since given up on utilizing VL53L1X for liquid level measurement. @John E KVAM had previously reccomended me to use instead the VL53L4CD sensor for this sort of application (small recipients with water), and I plan to ship it next week. But I've also read about VL53L5CX which has the advantage of reading liquid level even when angled at about 15° due to its wider FoV.Is there any other ToF sensor that should perform well for this kind of scenario that I'm not aware of? Even if being overall worse but having an specific advantage like VL53L5CX.Thanks in advance!Edit: I've noticed now that the VL53L4CD is out of stock on both stores I could ship from, but VL53L4CX is available. From this forum post, I gathered that I can run the ...CD software on the ...CX, but do they have any other difference besides processing power?

Hello Community,I'm using an STM32G474RE MCU with FDCAN0 to set up CANopen communication for a sensor node device. The setup is designed to cascade multiple sensor devices on the same CAN bus, each with a unique node ID, so they can transmit data independently.Currently, I have two devices connected in a simple cascading configuration, both operating as CANopen nodes with different IDs. No CAN master or analyzer is connected, as these sensor nodes are meant to operate autonomously on the bus. Here is my FDCAN initialization code:   void MX_FDCAN1_Init(void) { FDCAN_FilterTypeDef sFilterConfig; /* FDCAN1 parameter configuration */ hfdcan1.Instance = FDCAN1; hfdcan1.Init.DataPrescaler = 12; hfdcan1.Init.NominalPrescaler = 12; hfdcan1.Init.NominalTimeSeg1 = 13; hfdcan1.Init.DataTimeSeg1 = 13; hfdcan1.Init.ClockDivider = FDCAN_CLOCK_DIV1; hfdcan1.Init.FrameFormat = FDCAN_FRAME_CLASSIC; hfdcan1.Init.Mode = FDCAN_MODE_NORMAL; hfdcan1.Init.AutoRetransmission = EN
