Hi,Just a created first project with the default board settings of STM32N6570-DK on latest version of STM32CubeMX on Windows 11 and it created this project structure: This structure looks different from other STM32 MCU's I have used before and also gets this build warning:C:/ST/STM32CubeIDE_1.16.1/STM32CubeIDE/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.12.3.rel1.win32_1.1.0.202410251130/tools/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/12.3.1/../../../../arm-none-eabi/bin/ld.exe: warning: Sensor_MCU_Appli.elf has a LOAD segment with RWX permissions Is there any getting started guide of STM32CubeIDE for this board please?

Hi STM32 enthusiasts, I’m reaching out to the community for advice and guidance on an issue we’re facing while developing an external loader for our custom board. We’ve been working with the STM32H730IBK6Q chip and an external memory MX25LM51245GXDI00, and the hardware setup closely resembles the architecture of the STM32H735G-DK board. In fact, our software was initially developed and successfully tested on the STM32H735G-DK, and we’re confident in its functionality on that platform. However, moving to our custom board with the STM32H730, we’ve encountered persistent issues with generating a working external loader.   What We’ve Tried So Far: Development on Linux using CubeIDE: We followed several tutorials and used the STM32CubeIDE to generate a .stldr file. This project includes a bootloader that writes a .bin from the SD card and correctly jumps to address 0x90000000. We implemented and debugged the required loader (Dev_Inf.c/h) and linker.ld based on the stm32-external-loa

Hi I want to understand Rx message process in case of can2. Rx fifo code I have tested when I used only CAN1 it is working fine. I have put RxFifoMSgpendingcallback function in IRQhandler and further code is working fine for when I used only one (CAN1) controller ,can you help me to understand what change I should do when I am using CAN1 and CAN2 both controller so that I can receive for both controller data.   /* Receive FIFO 0 message pending interrupt management *********************/ if ((interrupts & CAN_IT_RX_FIFO0_MSG_PENDING) != 0U) { /* Check if message is still pending */ if ((hcan->Instance->RF0R & CAN_RF0R_FMP0) != 0U) { /* Receive FIFO 0 message pending Callback */ #if USE_HAL_CAN_REGISTER_CALLBACKS == 1 /* Call registered callback*/ hcan->RxFifo0MsgPendingCallback(hcan); #else /* Call weak (surcharged) callback */ HAL_CAN_RxFifo0MsgPendingCallback(hcan); #endif /* USE_HAL_CAN_REGISTER_CALLBACKS */ } } void CANRxFifo0MsgP

Hi, I can't erase the external flash or write a new binary on my STM32N6570-DK board. My problem is similar to this post: STM32N6570-DK: Cannot erase external Flash. But the solution in that post didn't work for me.I have tried using two external loaders (MX66UW1G45G, OTP_FUSES) and also with only one loader (MX66UW1G45G). But everytime the erase is failed with this message: `Error: Mass erase operation failed. Please verify flash protection`.I am sharing some screenshots and my OTP export for your reference. Please let me know how to unlock the flash so I can program it.OTP screenshot2 loaders are selected here. But I tried with only one loader too.

I'm trying to establish communication -  FTM between ST25R3911B and ST25DV64KC . I'm running the example program in the reader module and I have enabled the mailbox in the dynamic tag side. The reader is able to detect the dynamic tag and is trying to send data to the dynamic tag. But it is failing. What might be the issue? Do we need to initialise anything more on the dynamic tag side? "STM32L476RG_NUCLEO_FTM_NFC5" this is the program that I'm using on the reader side.

Hi all!I have NUCLEO stm32G474RE board, and I am playing with HRTIM.I am trying to take advantage of fault logic, found in HRTIM module.HRTIM can have GPIO hardware input, which can shut down all HRTIM outputs, without any software overhead. Now, I would like to trigger this fault logic, but from software. I can shut down HRTIM from software the „usual“ way, but that is multistage process, first one needs to disable counters, then disable outputs, then force all outputs to zero, shut down all interrupts, and so on...I want to read the value of an adc, and if this value is above some threshold, active the fault. Is it possible to do that, and if so, anyone know how to do it?

Today, for the first time I tried to set up RTC alarm using STM32U5G9 MCU. I need RTC alarm (IRQ) to fire on every second change, that is, when subsecond counter is zero - it is configured to count 32kHz clock pulses from 32k to 0 using 15-bit subsecond register which should zero exactly every one full second.Probably what needs to be done is this: 1. alarm needs to enabled, 2. subsecond SS mask needs to be set to 14:0 (all 15 bits are compared), 3. RTC IRQ needs to be enabled, 4. within ISR alarm has to be reset (RTC_SCR_CALRAF) or auto-clear (RTC_CR_ALRAFCLR) flag needs to be set in advance (sAlarm.FlagAutoClr = ALARM_FLAG_AUTOCLR_ENABLE).The above does not work, RTC IRQ does not fire even once. RTC date/time works OK so it is not a clock issue. Please advice. What am I missing?I am familiar with ST Wiki publication on this subject here but it did not work, I was unable to fire RTC IRQ even once. In any case, I think the described approach is very unreliable - what if RTC IRS get

Posted on April 11, 2017 at 12:39Hi all I'm working on a STM32F303CC very simple board(just µC IMU and USB). I need to use a USB Virtual COM (CDC) for a MtoM data transfer with a Windows PC I set up BSP with STMCubeMx and compiling/debuging with Keil V5 with an STlink V2 in SWD mode board and microcontrolers are powered by USB all look's working great when I make a hard reset (just fresh power up) but if I try to make a soft reset like when entering in debug despite Virtual Com Port is well enumerated on windows side it could not open com port and no Usb transmit can be done on target side becase of Usb Device descriptor not defined in Usb Midle ware does anyone faced the same issue or somthing similare ? I tried to use USBLyser to see what's wrong but I must admit I've not seen something particular when doing soft reset thank's for any help

Hello, In general, I would like to better understand the relationship between the sampling frequencies of the FIFO and the Accelerometer (ISM330) and how to adjust them correctly for my application, could anyone give an example? In my case I have the following configuration:ISM330DLC_ACC_SetOutputDataRate(&MotionSensor, 26.0f)ISM330DLC_FIFO_Set_ODR_Value(&MotionSensor, 6660.0f)ISM330DLC_FIFO_ACC_Set_Decimation(&MotionSensor, ISM330DLC_FIFO_XL_DEC_32)That is, the ISM is sampling the accelerometer at 26Hz, the FIFO with decimation is configured to store at a sampling of approx. 208Hz (6660/32), which indicates that in 1 second the accelerometer saves 8 samples (208Hz/26Hz) from the accelerometer in the FIFO. Is this correct? For a practical application, for example, a motor with 1000RPM (1000/60=16Hz), would the frequency I need to adjust in the ISM330DLC_ACC_SetOutputDataRate function be at least ISM330DLC_XL_ODR_52Hz? Your feedback is much appreciated.Re

I want to synchronize two SAI interfaces together, but I can not select the "Synchrounous slave" option unless I enable master block in the same SAI. I Have Master enabled in the other SAI and "External Synchro out" as well. When I enable Master in the same SAI, I can even select other SAI as the Sync input. It seems like a bug, but maybe I'm missing something. Im using CubeMX 6.12.0 and STM32H563ZIT6. Thanks

Hello, ST experts It seems that OTG_USB_DP pin had some problems when this pin is forced to be set to GPIO when connected to USB host. The resistance between this pin and GND is serveral mega Ohm before OTG_USB_DP is forced to be a GPIO. And then it might be show a low resistance of about 100Kilo Ohm. So I want to check the I/O structure of this pin. Merry ChristmasYang

Hello everyone, In the link below I designed a DC/DC Buck configuration with the L7987L chip. We have used this chip many times but I needed to update the EMI performance so I reduced some loops on the layout side. Also removed the separate ground plane. Now there is just one ground plane under the buck circuit.I was actually surprised that it's not working anymore. Who can help me with this?It is switching but it is not regulating into the 0.8V feedback for some reason. I tried changing the compensation network but without any result.HELP ! PS. I tested with different input supply voltages from 9 to 24V. In the document below, I mentioned 2 supply voltages.PS2. I also broke some chips. It looks really unstable somehow. I think they are broken because they didn't switch anymore. Schematic, layout and signal images:https://docs.google.com/document/d/16G_f4qjTBYnygG3ZKfBmmoWEJaGLDoRwkzUj4_T-XSY/edit?usp=sharing

Hello,at I2C slave transmission, the master stops the communication with a NACK and some µseconds later followed by a STOP.If my slave uC is slowly clocked this works. The calling of the I2C Irq handler takes enough time, to see NACK and STOP at the same time. In that case, I know that it is an expected behaviour and the NACK isn't an error. My question is, if I run the uC at full speed, I assume there is the risk, that the slave will see only NACK, because the stop event is still not detected. Then slave would handle it wrongly as an error.  Therefore, I assume checking for NACK + STOP isn't 100% correct ?Are there other options ?E.g. I'm using DMA, so could I used NACK + (DMA.counter == 0) ?

My current workflow is as follows:I use the MC Workbench to create a base IOC file for our custom board, then use the CubeMX to add our own pins, periphery etc.Now when I need to change some motor-related settings and regenerate the project in the MC Workbench, all my pins are gone in CubeMX and I have to redo everything again. How do I preserve all the user pins, periphery settings etc in this case?

Hi, We are in the designing phase of a STM32H7 board which will control a RGB24 display. To check which package would suit are needs the best we would like to see the RGB pinout on different MCU's. But for some reason I don't find the LTDC interface at the multimedia tab of these H7 controllers.  If I open the boardfile of the H7 discovery board with display I do see the LTDC interface at the multimedia tab. When we start a plain stm32H7S3L8HxH cubemx project. How to enable the LTDC interface? Best regards

Hi there. I have an image that I want to draw in a certain location and in as many as I need. I found the function HAL::lcd().drawPartialBitmap. I tried to call it from the view class in my function, like HAL::lcd().drawPartialBitmap(myBitmapId, point.x, point.y, bitmapRect). But it seems that it only works from the MyViewClass::draw() function. Just a picture widget won't work for me because I need to draw the same picture many times in different places. Places and quantities are dynamic. How can I do this?

Hi there,I cannot seem to enable a hall sensor or quadrature encoder in motor control workbench.Motor control board: X-NUCLEO-IHM08M1MCU: NUCLEO-G474REMC workbench version: 6.3.2CubeMX version: 6.13.0I have checked the 'connectionparameters.json' file; pwm appears to be on TIM1, encoder is allowed on TIM[2-7].CubeMx flags no issues were I to select TIM[3,4,6,7]. I tried enabling encoder operation on TIM3 in CubeMx and that part seemed to take, but the workbench still has the option greyed out.Cheers,Scott

Hi support team and developper community. Happy new year to all. I have a project including Secure Manager and a Non-Secure application on a STM32H573 platform. My non-secure app is modeled after the SMAK_Appli app provided within STM32Cube. I used  HAL_FLASH API to bring flash storage capability to it.  My application data is stored in a code-free sector at the top of the non-secure flash area, but I could not find any way to notify the Secure Manager about it. Not even in CubeMX. As you would expect, my data persists after reset or power cycle, but it gets erased upon an update of the NS app. I am aware of the possibility for the Secure Manager to provision data for the sake of the NS application, but this does not fit the bill: my application needs to update the persistent data.   So, in a nutshell, how can I implement a persistent storage which survives firmware upgrades ?    Thanks in advance for your support. I am currently working on a project involving MIOTY-based communication and am using an STM32 board for the receiver side. My goal is to receiver In-phase (I) and Quadrature (Q) samples from a MIOTY-based transmitter. However, I am facing challenges in finding relevant documentation or code examples for implementing an IQ interface. Here are my specific questions:Is there any reference manual, application note, or example code available that can guide me in setting up the STM32's RF peripherals for receiving IQ samples? Are there any tools or libraries (e.g., STM32CubeMX or third-party solutions) that can simplify the process of configuring the RF core to extract IQ data for MIOTY communication? If anyone has experience working with IQ interfaces on STM32 for MIOTY or similar protocols, could you share insights or a high-level overview of the steps involved?I appreciate any pointers to resources, existing projects, or practical advice on getting started with this.Kind RegardsYasir Al

Why can't my WB55 P-NUCLEO board print BLE debug information via UART? Some configurations, such as CFG_DEBUGGER_SUPPORTED, CFG_DEBUG_BLE_TRACE, and CFG_DEBUG_APP_TRACE, have been enabled. I tested it, and it seems the printf function is not working. However, the HAL_UART_Transmit() and HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA() functions work correctly and can print data when tested in main.c. Why isn't printf able to output information? I have also tried redirecting printf, but it still doesn't work. Here is my program.

Hi everyone,I am trying to activate HSO option for sensorless control which as much as I know this feature is to start motor without moving, but I cant activate HSO option with these option in attached.I cant find the problem. Thanks in advance.

I am trying to get the an values ready interrupt working, but I cannot seem to find the right configuration of registers. Normal threshold interrupts are working as expected. After the normal setup and using all different speeds ODR, when setting INT1_CTRL to INT_DRDY_XL active, I do not get any interrupts. The oscilloscope shows no change as well on either H_LACTIVE as well. Is there a sample that can be provided which has a working implementation of the interrupt working? So far all public sources have non working code. As an MCU I am using an ESP32 and Arduino. Here is my current initialisation:// Enable accelerometerwriteRegister(0x1F, 0x38); // CTRL_REG5_XL - Enable XYZ axeswriteRegister(0x20, 0x60); // CTRL_REG6_XL - ODR 952 Hz// Set up interrupt generator and DRDYwriteRegister(INT1_CTRL, 0x01); // Enable IG_XL (bit 6) and DRDY_XL (bit 0)writeRegister(CTRL_REG8, 0x00); // Active HIGH, push-pull

i am using stm32u575zi-q board as master and ads131m04 board as slave for the spi communication.i need ads131m04.h and ads131m04.c files specific to stm32 board .

 Hello, My question is about language Embedded C.char data[100] = "300 0";uint8_t* data_a = strtok(data, " "); // data_a printf result : "300"// printf results data_a[0] : '3', data_a[1] : '0', data_a[2] : '0'uint8_t* data_b = strtok(NULL, " "); // data_b printf result : "0" uint8_t data_c = atoi(data_a); // data_c print result : 44 // Why??????????uint8_t data_d = atoi(data_b); // data_d printf result : 0When the input is the string "300", why  is the output of the function "atoi" integer 44? Any help is greatly appreciated! Friendly regards, Tau

I working on motor control application with stm32g484ret6.Timer1 generates 3 PWM lines with complementary lines (with some deadtime) in center aligned mI have ADC readings to sample the phases current.Timer1 output trigger TRG0 is defined as update event, and the ADC external trigger conversion source is defined as Timer1 Trigger Out event. However, in this configuration the ADC is triggered twice for each PWM period - once in the middle of the ON time, and one in the middle of the OFF time.I want to receive only a single trigger for the ADC per PWM period (in the middle of either the on or off time) as the ADC conversion complete callback calls to my entire control algorithm. How can I config it?Thank you
