Hi,I would like to make an application to access micro sd card via SPI from STM32F407VG-DISC1 board. I have configured the pins as seen in table below.Main file is also attached. However, when I run the application I get FR_NO_FILESYSTEM error. My card is formatted as FAT32. It is class4 2GB micro SD card. When I remove the SD card then I received another error that is FR_NOT_READY. So, this got me thinking that, I have made proper connections, but there is problem with the code.Could you please point me to the right direction ? STM32F407VG-DISC1HW125 SD CARD MODULEPC2 MISO PINPC3MOSI PINPB10 SCK PINPB12 GPIO_OUTPUTGNDGND5VVCC

I'm working with the STM32H730VBT6 and I'm currently using the stm32h730xx.h CMSIS header file, but there's also the stm32h730xxq.h in the cmsis-device-h7 repository. I assume I'm using the correct header file for my microcontroller (pretty sure CubeMX uses stm32h730xx.h too), but RM0468 (Rev. 3) mentions a SDEN bit ("SMPS step-down converter enable") in PWR_CR3 (pg. 289) but the stm32h730xx.h -- in the same field -- calls it "SCUEN" ("Supply configuration update enable"). There are some other discrepancies between the RM and stm32h730xx.h too. The stm32h730xxq.h on the other hand matches well with the RM.So what gives? Clearly these bits serve different functionalities, and I don't want to be misconfiguring anything blindly. The most likely explanation, I think, is that there's just some missing documentation or that the RM is a bit out of date, but I'm not too sure.

Hi,I have a custom Board with a STM32MP157C marked 'B' with an attatched SD card and an eMMC (one from ISSI).First of all I am aware that this revision is having the errata 'eMMC boot timeout too short'. I also read through this post: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000BiBhHQSQ0/stm32mp153a-failed-to-boot-from-emmcThe problem I am having is that I indeed can boot from the eMMC when resetting it and the MP1 with the NRST pad (using a switch if that matters). TF-A tells me the following reset reason:NOTICE: CPU: STM32MP157CAA Rev.B NOTICE: Model: STMicroelectronics custom STM32CubeMX board INFO: Reset reason (0x14): INFO: Pad Reset from NRSTwhich also makes sense. If I let the system boot and try to reboot it via U-Boot or Linux console it won't start. After the shutdown the boot from eMMC fails and the serial boot is entered.By using my SD-Card I know that the reset reason is MPSYSRESET when rebooting from the command line, as seen in the TF-A trace:INFO: Reset reason (0x54):

Hi team, i have built a custom gnss application for my UAV, using the teseo liv 4f module.i have attached my circuit herewith, and also the corresponding output from the teseo suite. The module has no fix always and is not locking onto any sat.please look into my circuit and let me know the issue.I have used a taoglass passive antenna(Acurra GNSS) for the circuit.

Hi,I work with STEVAL-DB012VA, anf WISE-Studio over Linux. Starting from the peripheral exemple, I am trying to output a sequence of bits over GPIOB at a specific rate. To do this I am programming the DMA to transfert data from a buffer in memory to GPIOB->ODR and the DMAMUX to make the transfers clocked by TIM16 overflow. The program compiles without warnings nor errors but nothing appears on the outputs. Please look also to rf_driver_ll_dmamux.h. In the comments for LL_DMAMUX_SetRequestID, the list of possible values for "Request" parameter do not include LL_DMAMUX_REQ_TIM16_UP. This is what I used and it is probably why it do not works. But why? The TIM16 is supposed to be an option for synchronizing the DMA. Is it really possible?See my code in the files main.c and app_main.c attached. Any clue? Thanks,Rémi

I am building my own programmer app using the API provided with the CubeProgrammer program. If I follow the way I have to connect my board over DFU mode as in the USB_Example.cpp, this is the output:STM32CubeProgrammer API v2.18.0 | Windows-64Bits+++ USB Bootloader Example +++------------- USB DFU List --------------USB Port 0USB index : USB1USB SN : 3768346A3430DFU version : 0x11A-----------------------------------------USB speed : Full Speed (12MBit/s)Manuf. Hi,Using Wise studio Version: 1.3.1_R Build id: 2023_05 on Linux with the STEVAL-IDB012V1 (BlueRNG-LPS dev. kit). I discovered that my instructions to write values in the timer registers have no effect. I found it by tracing the program while watching the register values in the register window of the debugger perspective. For example, TIM2->ARR = 3200; produce no change in the register. Same result with TIM16 and TIM17. I should miss something very basic here. It is made from the "Profiles_Peripheral_with_Library" example. All my edits are visible in the snippet below:int main(void) { /* System Init */ SystemInit(SYSCLK_64M, BLE_SYSCLK_32M); /* Configure IOs for power save modes */ BSP_IO_Init(); /* Configure I/O communication channel */ BSP_COM_Init(BSP_COM_RxDataUserCb); /* Init Clock */ Clock_Init(); /* Initialize the button */ BSP_PB_Init(USER_BUTTON, BUTTON_MODE_EXTI); // Overwrite initializations //My_GPIO_Settings(); //Define_Waveform_data_buffer(); /

We are experiencing an issue with poor RSSI values on our STM32WB55 based custom board. We are normally running the extended ble stack and with only 3 feet between the windows PC and the STM32WB55 board were at RSSI values around -85.  When I switch to the Full BLE Stack I'm getting -50 values, I can go out the office, down the hall about 20 feet before I get the -85 db range.I loaded the BLE_peripheral_lite example onto my board to test out if I had poor configuration and im getting good numbers 25 ft away, the example project requires the full stack. So I wanted to test the full with my board and software, and when I loaded the full im getting much better numbers. Similar to the example project. Is there something related to the extended vs full stack that could be causing this issue?  Could this be a configuration issue in my software? My current software almost 1-1 mimics the BLE_Peripheral_lite example for initializing cpu2.Im testing with the 1.20 Extended BLE stack and t

The documentation I have says the Ethernet calculation with 0x4C11DB7... but I don't get results matching what I get from any other calculator. To remove any endianess or mirroring questions I've tried 0x00000000 and 0x66666666 (e.g.). All calculators I have produce 2144_DF1C and E425_C810 for those 2 inputs. From the CRC unit I get 6904_BB59 and 7B91_8196 (which don't seem to be related by combinations -- on the final value -- of bit flipping and reflection).Yes I asked what the results are -- because I can't imagine what I' don't see in the 1 -> CR; XXXX -> DR; Result <- DR sequence.TIA,Brett

Hi,Can you please tell me the longevity and date of introduction for stm32u595vj and STM32H743IIT please? Thanks,Aditya

Dear Community,I’m currently testing the L6982C33DR and L6982C50DR to supply 3.3V and 5V to my board.I followed the reference design provided in the user manual and completed the PCB layout accordingly. However, when I power the board with 12V (Power+), both the 3.3V and 5V outputs are only showing 2.5V.I’ve attached my design files for reference. Could anyone help me identify what might be going wrong? Thanks in advance for your support!

The .ioc file is also attached. The code runs fine, however after some hours I get a hard fault. This happens only when the USB-scanner is plugged in. If nothing is plugged to USB it runs fine. I don't do anything with the barcode reader - it is just plugged in and the hard fault occurs.I already tried the following:USBH_CDC_BUFFER_SIZE 1024 to 2048#define USBH_PROCESS_PRIO osPriorityLow to osPriorityNormal#define USBH_PROCESS_STACK_SIZE ((uint16_t)4*2048) between 512 and 8192STM32Cube FW_H7 V1.11.2Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi ST-Community, I have a problem with my STM32CubeMX: The pin context assignment for STM32WL55JCI7 is missing. Does anyone have the same problem and know how to fix it? (No generated code for GPIOs) Many thanks in advance for your support! Kind regards,Philipp

Hi everyone,I'm currently working with the X-NUCLEO-NFC08A1 expansion board and using the ST25R3916 NFC reader IC with an STM32L010RB microcontroller. When I call rfalNfcInitialize(), the initialization process fails and enters the error handler. After some debugging, I found that the issue happens specifically at this point in the code:if( !st25r3916CheckChipID( NULL ) ) { platformErrorHandle();    //This is the point where the code gets stuckreturn RFAL_ERR_HW_MISMATCH; }The st25r3916CheckChipID() function seems to fail, and the chip revision is read as 0. This causes the code to jump to platformErrorHandle() and get stuck in an infinite loop in _Error_Handler().I checked the wiring, SPI connections, and power supply. Everything seems correct, but I still can’t figure out what is causing the chip ID check to fail. I'm using the provided driver from ST and haven’t modified the low-level SPI functions. The flow reaches platformErrorHandle() when st25r3916CheckChipID

Hello!I'd like to trigger a screen change (navigate to a specific screen) whenever a hardware button is pressed, and I want this behavior to be global. How can i do that in touchgfx? The only way i managed to redirect user is local, creating interactions in each screen, but i want to do this globally.

Hi, I'm working on a custom board which I've been programming with an ST-LINK V2 using the SWCLK and SWDIO lines. I mistakenly left BOOT0 floating, but I need to order more boards, so I'm going to correct this mistake. My question: Am I right in thinking that if I tie BOOT0 to GND, the STM32F1 will boot on its own when powered-up (which doesn't currently happen - I have to rely on PlatformIO resetting it after uploading the program), but I'll still be able to program it using just the SWCLK and SWDIO lines? Or will I have to connect NRST as well? (NRST is currently floating but has an 100nf cap tied to GND as per the datasheet.)

Hi, I am using custom board with STM32C071. I am trying to enable USB port with CDC so that my custom board will be visible as virtual com port on PC. After enabling all options and initializations, I was expecting that my board will appear on PC device manager COM port list but it does not appear. Below are the settings: 1. Clock configuration - In my hardware external crystal is connected of 8MHz and I see there is no PLL which can multiply it and hence I am using internal 48MHz clock. 2. USB port is enabled with default settings. PA11 and PA12 pins are used for USB connection in hardware. USB global interrupt is enabled. 3. USBX is enabled from middleware. Device class CDC ACM is only one selected. 4. Most of the settings for USBX is default value except for two of them marked in red color. These values are updated from 1024 to 10000 and 512 to 8000. With default values of 1024 and 512, function MX_USBX_Device_Init() was returning error. After referring to discussions on com

Hi, I am using the STM32ubeMX v6.14.0 to generate a USB-PD DRP following the link below:https://wiki.stmicroelectronics.cn/stm32mcu/wiki/STM32StepByStep:Getting_started_with_USB-Power_Delivery_Dual_RoleI noticed that when I set the CubeMX to have more than 1 PDO, say 7, the macros USBPD_MAX_NB_PDO and PORT0_NB_SOURCEPDO are correctly set to 7 but the USBPD_NbPDO[1] has a value of 1 and I see that only the first element of the PORT0_PDO_ListSRC array is populated. Moreover, I also noticed that the USBPD_PWR_IF_SetProfile function is fixed to get only the first PDO due to explicitly choosing PORT0_PDO_ListSRC[0]. Is this an issue in the cubeMX code generation? Also, I couldn't find anywhere where the PORT0_PDO_ListSRC (and the same way, PORT0_PDO_ListSNK) are iniitialized as in the usbpd_pdo_defs.h file, the externs are enabled and the initialization code is disabled through the #ifndef __USBPD_PWR_IF_C instruction. NB. Attached is t

Hello,I am trying to connect an ILI9325C display to an STM32F401RET6 microcontroller. After writing the code correctly and connecting the display, it doesn't respond and only has the backlight on (from the power supply). I connected the STM32 to a logic analyzer and started an SPI analysis. I configured the CPHA and CPOL settings to match those of the STM32, but I keep getting the error: "The initial (idle) state of the CLK line does not match the settings." This error occurs during every test.However, during one of the tests, I saw something start to display, some commands coming from MISO, but it was only once, and the display still didn't react.I would appreciate any help since I have been working on this for a total of 20 hours.Here are my attachments (comments in code are in polish):1. Here is the link to my display: 3.2 inch 320x240 Touch LCD (C) 2. SPI configuration code: /* USER CODE END SPI2_Init 1 */ hspi2.Instance = SPI2; hspi2.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_MASTER;

Dear Gfx Team,Could you possibly add a variant of snprintf() for double please ?In touchgfx/Unicode.hpp, there is a float versionstatic UnicodeChar * snprintfFloat ( UnicodeChar * dst , uint16_t dstSize , const char * format , const float value ) And for double, it would bestatic UnicodeChar * snprintfDouble ( UnicodeChar * dst , uint16_t dstSize , const char * format , const double value ) Thanks.

Hello, I set 120MHz to OCTOSPI for Octo-SPI PSRAM. With the ClockPrescaler 0x02, the PSRAM test takes several seconds. However, with the ClockPrescaler 0x00, it takes over 3 minutes. Is there a long storage temperature range for NOR Flash or not? my home temperature is 36C i have chip ST M29W640FT 70N6 H with some recording files (maximum 10 recordings on this chip were performed) how many years approximately can this chip retain all data and at 36C?

Hello, I'm porting code from L4 to U5. The original code was able to change flash during runtime (erase and program). The L4 Hal lib deactivated caches before flash operation and flushes them afterwards. This isn't done by the U5 Hal lib. I don't need explanation. It is ok for me, if you can confirm, that there is not risk, when cache is enabled during the programming U5.

I build openSTLinux based on the manifest at this link https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/oe-manifestI'm not sure if STM32MP157F supports virtualization. And if it does, can you share how to add docker to openSTLinux? Can I add meta-virtualization (https://git.yoctoproject.org/meta-virtualization) and install docker to my SD card image?

I use default uboot in openSTLinux. I use the command below to save uboot environment.$ env save but it showed an error, and the environement did not save. please see the picture below.  How to fix it?
